有幸参加2012远征贡嘎秘境——NEXTORCH(纳丽德)探索之旅和蜀山探险彭小龙,紫笛,阿苏,老廖,晓风一起探秘贡嘎附属山峰朗格漫音雪山的攀登,最后因为紫笛和小龙在攀登过程中遭遇小型雪崩,紫笛直接被砸的整个人半空中悬着转了360°,幸亏小龙做了三个冰锥保护。在下撤途中由于和阿苏,老廖分开路线(雪太深突然遭遇雪崩为安全分开攀登)下撤器材不够,小龙和紫笛把所有办法都用尽才安全下撤。最后扔在路线上很多器材。 前几天十一前后刚刚从稻城出来,此次由来到康定看到以前老榆林和贡嘎转山熟悉的一幕一幕,当年走贡嘎的时候高反和带了三箱方便面进山,那时候六月的天气也是非常的美丽(https//bbs.8264.com/thread-417724-1-1.html铁丐一张照片引发的贡嘎转山)现在进山足够的蔬菜和补给,十一月的贡嘎的美景和六月的同样都非常震撼。此次贡嘎的美景更坚定了以后要重走贡嘎大转山线路。此次贡嘎拍到很多美丽的照片期待你的关注新浪 @丐帮帮主铁丐 老榆林大家在苏导的导演下一路跳起江南style,一群开心的朋友经过这次生死遭遇,大家结成一辈子的朋友,有点絮叨了上片吧左起:铁丐 蜀山李波 阿苏 紫笛依扬 蜀山小龙 高山厨师杨二 老廖 晓风点击只看作者就可以直接看帖子 1.交通方式:成都新南门汽车站到康定135元(车站门口有拉人的100元到康定)康定汽车站包车到老榆林或者让老榆林向导接60元面包车。2.路线行程:老榆林--两岔河--上日乌且--下日乌切--贡嘎寺---子梅垭口--上木居3.客栈与户外店:成都武侯祠有很多户外店可以补充装备,气罐在康定也有买,一般在康定租液化气罐4.装备建议:驮包或70升背包,雨衣,头灯,雪套,羽绒服,登山杖,50以上防晒霜,防水冲锋衣裤,防水袋(做好防水准备)六天食物,建议多带蔬菜。5.向导建议:老榆林多吉大叔长期租马价格比较规矩正常是6天按照9天算(因为有回程)注意事项:1、对于长距离行走,最重要的装备不是别的而是自己的脚。保证脚的完好,不受伤,不打水泡是最为艰巨的挑战也是必须完成的任务。2、食品 需要尽量选取能量密度大、容易处理的食物作为主食,比如米、面。另外新疆当地的各种馕是非常好的户外食品,不但轻便而且便于长期存储。另外,携带一些蔬菜补充维生素也是必须的。 建议携带的食品:(依照个人食量按照预计行程时间计算携带量,并留有一定余量) 主食: 米、面粉、、挂面、压缩饼干 路线全程的营地海拔大约在3700---4200要用高压锅才可以煮熟米面的。当然如果你不放心也可以多带一些熟食或者即食食品。 副食:蔬菜(圆白菜、茭白、番茄、辣椒等)、鸡蛋(走之前把若干鸡蛋打进一个脉动瓶子内,就不用担心鸡蛋在行走过程中磕碰而被打碎了)、榨菜(或者其它各种用于佐餐的小咸菜)、咸鸭蛋(流油的最好)、火腿肠等 蔬菜是非常重要的缓解疲劳的食品,长距离大强度长时间的徒步穿越不仅仅需要热量高体积小的食品,也非常需要碱性食品来平衡身体酸碱以及补充维生素。此外新鲜蔬菜在野外长时间的行程中对士气是极大的鼓舞。(谁也不想连续8天每天都只有压缩饼干)生大蒜:强烈建议携带,是非常有效的杀菌和预防肠胃疾病的食物干果:数量不需要太多,主要用于补充微量元素 另外,必须携带一些体积小便于补充热量的巧克力等,强烈推荐大白兔奶糖。带上一些果珍、奶茶之类在扎营时或者午餐时冲泡饮用会是非常完美的享受。即使是路餐,把馕泡在果珍或者奶茶中也会让人吃的心满意足。3、常用药品 6天5夜的大强度行进,身体上任何小的伤口如不及时处理都有可能造成伤口感染并造成严重后果,因此切不可对任何伤病掉以轻心。 感冒药:行进地区气候极为多变,早晚温差大,容易感冒止痛药、创可贴、防晒霜、消炎药、医用绷带,高反葡萄糖和散利疼其它个人所需的药物 老榆林不讲信誉的向导马扎西本来谈好的价格,中途罢工涨价。大家警惕小心此人美丽的康定::“跑马溜溜的山上,一朵溜溜的云,端端溜溜的照在朵洛大姐的门,朵洛溜溜的大姐人才溜溜的好哟,会当溜溜的家来会为溜溜的人……”座落在康定宾馆旁的寺庙老榆林向导马扎西,在此做重点介绍相当不靠谱的向导在进山前讲好的价格在我们快到达大本营的时候,有意罢工增加一天费用才给我们的物资送到大本营,一开始说好的出山去接也反悔没来,还是要增加费用。最后在我们从玉龙西的向导(价格比马扎西便宜一半还多)才出山。希望大家注意了---老榆林的马扎西非常熟悉的场景,又一次来到老榆林水电站,上次也是从这里出发,上次路线因为上日乌且雪太深改到盘盘山,这次终于圆梦不光路线走完全程而且见到了最美的贡嘎出发喽,马上一会主人物出现喽 紫笛抑扬: 极限户外玩家9829;攀冰♥攀岩♥登山♥滑雪9829;长板ϖ9;旅行b29;摄影b29HENIX.ELAN.OSPREY.DMM约运动员知名户外时尚传媒人邓琳,金犀牛奖首届最佳户外摄影获得者,攀冰赛女子冠军,蜀山探险市场总监彭小龙:蜀山探险技术总监彭晓龙,曾获得“2007年度中国户外金犀牛最佳攀登成就奖” 阿苏:把登山当做好玩的人,问他登过几座雪山说不清了,贡嘎一路多次充当我模特在悬崖上,山脊上,才拍到很多好的照片,可惜只是点缀,哈哈哈.苏导的大片视频要在后期才能上。老廖:业余爱好登山者,多次和小龙一起登贡嘎山区雪山本人铁丐:丐行天下云游四海晓风:长期盘守在太行山脉高山厨师杨二日隆镇人,擅长高山做饭和向导老车:观摩团拖着一条残腿观摩攀登蜀山李波:蜀山探险工作人员([]
本贴所有图文,皆为原创。谢绝任何形式的转载。如有需要,请站短。 尼泊尔是一幅古怪的画。 雨季加都狭窄混乱的街道,泥泞不堪的地面,随处可见的神庙,满街的纱丽店,大大小小患着皮肤病的狗只……所有浓烈的色彩都堆砌在一起,冲撞着你的视觉。偏偏又因为作画人有着梵高那样的天赋,所以这画即使刺得人眼疼,却也另有一种动人心魄的魅力。* 本次出行线路:无锡-拉萨-樟木-加德满都-帕坦-巴克塔普尔-提米-奇特旺-博卡拉-加德满都-拉萨-无锡。6月23号出发,7月18号回到家,总计26天。 本来是准备在回来的时候走滇藏线的,但是电视里天天在播318线新都桥和雅江段因塌方断路的消息,就打消了这个念头。生命只有一次,安全第一。* 本次出行人员:本豆,本豆的无敌金牌搭档花花,小欣子,叔。三女一男。 其实四人组合是很好的,吃饭包车都经济实惠。唯一不好的是尼泊尔的旅馆撑死了只有三人间,出于安全考虑,我们一般都住在一起,每次叔独占一床,我们仨女的挤两张床,小欣子就只能睡在中间,叔叫她“填缝专家”,因此小欣子很恨叔,没事就跟他吵个小架。 关于叔,及叔的二三事叔其实了不起算个哥,但是因为队伍里有了小欣子这个九零后,哥就悲催地混成了叔。*加都,凤凰。叔其实很绅士,不管做什么都让着仨娘们。有次我从外面进来,花花和小欣子一个洗澡一个唱歌,房间里蒸汽弥漫,我奇怪地问:“叔呢?”小欣子说:“在楼下大堂里呆坐着。”我上楼的时候是路过大堂的,但是我没有注意到叔。叔,其实我不是无视你,我是450度近视……之后,如果叔不在,我通常是这样问小欣子的:“你苦逼叔呢?”*关于叔的脸小欣子有个同学,跟她男朋友打电话的时候,动不动就说:“小心我呼肿你的脸!”小欣子学给我们听,集体笑倒,以后,大家只要一不高兴,就扬言要呼肿对方的脸。某天,我无意中买到了一件很好看的衣服。兴冲冲地对叔说:“明天我要穿新衣服,你帮我多拍几张照片,要是拍不好,我就呼肿你的脸!”花在旁边幽幽地接一句:“那叔的脸一定是肿的。”*某天,东措叔满脸郁闷地坐在床上,说,刚才给老婆的QQ发了个表情,老婆居然回他说“你好。”隔壁有个小哥要去墨脱。叔听了蠢蠢欲动,长吁短叹。我说:叔,还是早点回家吧,否则下次你老婆要 “请问你是哪位”了。*总结:叔其实是个准好男人,大方豪气,从不和女同胞斤斤计较,热爱家庭,热爱宠物,虽然有时候细腻了点,比如喜欢看云卷云舒,喜欢听雨,喜欢拍小景,经常蹲在草丛和烂泥里(看贴童鞋敬请期待叔在以上俩场景里的照片)搞创作,但总的来说,叔是个堂堂正正的好男人。*下面附上一张叔在库玛丽女神庙专心搞创作的照片。 **上一张全家福。依次为花猪,小欣子,豆猪,叔。 淡扯完,从头说起。 我记得去年上海-拉萨的火车是两天发一趟的,叔说,每天都发。于是我不确定了,让叔去打听下。打听下来的结果,是每天发。于是提前十天去买票。到了代售点,人说,京沪高铁马上要开通,上海铁路局所属范围内,7月1号之前的火车票一律只能提前5天发售。于是回家。到了限定的日子,起个大早去,居然一张卧铺都没有,想着先上车,拼着坐到西安,总能补到的吧,就先买了3张硬座。 结果等到那天,一上车我就问有没有卧铺补,答复是没有,到哪都补不到。因为这趟车的卧铺出售权,是交给站台的,列车没有资格出售……除非过了格尔木,可是等到了格尔木,还补个毛啊。貌似有不少同学以为俺是为了省钱才买的硬座,8是滴,47小时呢,楼主8是铁打滴,如果有卧铺,是不会自虐滴——特此说明。不要再同情和佩服俺了。俺坐到下车,腰都坐断了,铁老大、黄牛和旅行社以及所有炒火车票的人,祖宗八代都给俺问候到了。哦,对了,叔为了这三张鸟火车票,一共跑了三次,劳苦功高。出发前的准备有点琐碎。护照拍成照片存在邮箱里,以防出国后万一丢失或被偷;药物准备了易蒙停、咽立消、阿莫西林、万金油等,淘宝高原安集体涨价了,于是在掌柜的推荐下买了高原宁,结果是毛用没有,一路照样反得头昏眼花; 淘宝还买了《走遍全球尼泊尔》、《背包旅游英语》两本书,以及2个月前开始背英语,天天看美剧(虽然等出国后才发现,俺的英语水平等于文盲);据说那边太阳很厉害,忍着心疼买了金瓶安耐晒(虽然后来发现这玩意不适合俺,用了脸上的皮掉了一层又一层,摸上去跟砂皮似的);叔提前一个月就天天跟俺念叨,今天败了啥,明天又败了啥。俺帮他粗算了一下,人还没出去,2000大洋没了……花花比我们提前一天到拉萨,说好在东措帮我们定房。 火车上的47个小时生不如死,上去后先问有没有卧铺补,答复是没有,到哪都补不到。因为这趟车的卧铺出售权,是交给站台的,列车没有资格出售……除非过了格尔木,可是等到了格尔木,还补个毛啊。坐到后来,终于麻木。到拉萨后洗澡的时候才发现,屁股是麻的。 车上听歌,看小电影,小欣子和叔玩扑克,输的人贴纸条,小欣子的脸贴得跟个“公”字似的,她愤愤地说叔是千王…… 我则按照惯例,在过了格尔木之后开始高反,吐了两次,昏沉沉闭着眼装死。 无锡火车站。还好,人不是很多。到西安的时候,至少晚点了一个小时。车到兰州,我特地提着相机下去拍兰州烧饼。没有。只有兰州炸鸡。格尔木。盼望着,盼望着,岗秀到了,拉萨的脚步近了……东措的走廊。俺居然还是住在202,还是去年那张床……缘分啊!到了拉萨,我高反得象头死猪。很快我发现,不是我一个人反,连皮实得跟个铁蛋似的花花,这次也嚷不舒服,叔的高反也紧跟着来了,嘴唇紫得吓人,据他说,心跳达到了120。一直睡到下午,才提起精神,去大昭寺转了一圈。在拉萨的几天,就是胡乱混日子。和花花一起来的还有她朋友小天。小天虽然是第一次跟着花出远门,但天生是个麻大胆,都不用花领着,自己出去乱转。每天早上出门,不到晚上11点基本是不见人的。花开始还担心,后来就推测,丫一定是有人陪着玩,否则不可能在花主动要求陪她的情况下,一个人急急忙忙地出门去……于是,我管花叫“花尔摩斯”。花龙颜大悦,欣然接受了这一称呼。 *仓央嘉措的玛吉阿米。据说是装13的好地方,不过俺老人家不感兴趣,一次也没上去过。也就是在每次路过的时候,随便拍一张。大昭寺前磕长头的人们。今年的天气很诡异,拉萨的云层很厚,经常下雨。照片拍出来总是灰蒙蒙的,唯一的好处是不象往年那么干燥得让人难受。*大昭寺的金顶。广场。远一点,再来一张。在大街小巷里乱窜。这张照片,是叔帮俺拍的。走累了,闯进一家茶馆。酥油茶6元一壶。看到壶的大小后,我们一致认为,伙计收的是游客价。下午的小昭寺。进去转个圈。不要门票,当然,大殿门关着,你啥也看见。大殿。在大殿和外墙之间,还有一条夹道,供转经的人们围着殿堂转。小昭寺的这夹道算很宽的,还能放下一排转经筒。我后来又逛过几个小寺庙,那些夹道,都是又窄又暗的。早上的时候转经的人摩肩接踵,现在,只有三三两两的几个。我们也跟着转了一圈。 东措对面的木如寺。这个寺庙,经常被游客忽略,其实,那里面,还有一个印经院呢。 有个不大的殿堂,很安静。除了早上,这里几乎没有人来。从尼泊尔回国后,我在一天清晨重新造访了这里。很多信徒。这是木如寺旁边的下密院。也是除了早上,白天没什么人。小昭寺紧隔壁的次巴拉康寺,据说是拉萨人气最旺的小寺庙。真不是假的。清晨的时候,全是熙熙攘攘的人流,在昏暗的夹道里一圈一圈地转着,寺外桑烟缭绕,周围的小摊子,全是卖的和这个寺庙有关的东西。我买了一束花,也进去转了一圈。卖花的小摊。大的花束3元,小的2元。烟雾。次巴拉康寺大殿门上的彩色小鹿。([
没去内蒙古大草原前对这片土地感觉是很佰生和神秘的,两年的工作和生活后渐渐地喜爱上了这里的蓝天、白云、黄沙和绿草,喜欢上了这里的人和风俗。 在两年中我几乎走遍了所在的克什克腾旗的每一个景区,内蒙古大草原的美让人流连忘返。 在这里只是将我第二次乌兰布统草原之行的游记展现给大家,让我带大家与我一起再次欣赏一次内蒙高原的蓝天白云、花草树木、山川河流和骏马美女。 先上一组图片,吸引一下你的眼球。 乌兰布统(蒙语:红色的山的意思)草原位于克什克腾旗最南端, 与河北围场县的赛罕坝林场隔河相望,距北京只有300多公里。乌兰布统是清朝木兰围场的一部分,因康熙皇帝指挥清军大战噶尔丹而著称于世,更以其迷人的欧式草原风光,成为中外闻名的影视外景基地。这里属丘陵与平原交错地带,森林和草原有机结合,既具有南方优雅秀丽的阴柔,又具有北方粗犷雄浑的阳刚,兼具南秀北雄之美。四季皆宜,处处皆景,是摄影之乡、天然画廊、露天影棚。 注:画面中间的小山就是红山。 乌兰布统草原处于丘陵与平原交错地带,呈现出与其它草原完全不同的特色,以其迷人的欧式草原风光,成为闻名的影视外景基地。 这里的草原有四个显著特点: 一是森林草原结合。这里是森林和草原有机结合,既具有 南方优雅秀丽的阴柔,又具有北方粗犷雄浑的阳刚,兼具南秀北雄之美。 二是草甸子广阔。虽不是一望无际,但置身此地,我们必会感触到“天似穹庐,笼盖四野。天苍苍,野茫茫,风吹草低见牛羊”北朝民歌的意境。 三是“百花草甸”景观。影视基地一带的草甸,每到夏季,草原上一片生机,百花盛开,10余天换一茬花种。您这次来是黄色,过十余天再来也许就是粉色、红色……。每一茬总以领衔花种为主色调,其余各色陪衬其间。有名的、没名的,千姿百态,万紫千红,在大甸子和山坡上编织出一块块的五彩缤纷的地毯,聚成一朵朵扑朔迷离的彩云。蓝天、白云、青山、碧水衬托着喧闹的百花世界,勾勒出一幅幅绚丽多姿的欧式油画。 四是桦林景观。最鲜明的特征是疏密相间,疏可驰马,密不通风。草甸边缘的漫坡,有的地段长满了桦树,大片的桦林密不通风。钻进去,枝叶遮云蔽日,不知道林子有多大。有的地段桦树稀稀疏疏,有单棵的,有三五一簇的,有几十棵成丛的,美不胜收。加上这里的地形富于变化,有草场,有湿地,有峡谷,有山丘。早晚太阳斜照,逆光将一道道山梁打出了高光轮廓线,明暗反差渲染了大环境的朦胧美,构成了一幅幅古希腊油画。 以上四大特色,每年都吸引了数以万计的艺术家到这里采风、创作。摄影家称这里是摄影之乡,创作基地,是历届大赛大展获奖及优秀作品的高产园地。美术家称这里是油画临摩的范本,天然画廊。影视家称这里是露天影棚。据不完全统计,近10年,在这里摄制了60余部影视剧。其中《还珠格格》、《康熙王朝》、《射雕英雄传》、《汉武大帝》、《三国演义》等10余部大片的大部分场景都是在这里拍摄的,到这里拍摄部分镜头的影视及广告、专片更是不计其数。在这里你可以跃马草原感受驰骋疆场的快感,还可以只识弯弓射大雕,骑一骑四轮摩托,都很不错。最值得一提的是在这里还可以体验到急速滑行,尘土飞扬的快感,在军马场北走四公里小红山村的后山上有一处大型滑沙场,占地百余亩,沙坡长一百多米,坡斜六十度,有栈道上山,可同时容纳百余人。而且价格便宜,是乌兰布统之行值得一玩的地方。 乌兰布统草原地理位置在内蒙古赤峰市克什克腾旗的最南边。 如果您驾车,从北京出发走承德线只需4个小时就能到达;赤峰每天都有往返北京、大连、沈阳、哈尔滨的火车,从赤峰汽车站乘到克旗经棚镇的长途汽车,在克旗汽车站可乘到乌兰布统旅游开发区的车前往乌兰布统景区。在这里我跟供一张北京到乌兰布统的最近路线图(全程300公里),不过中间过河北围场子的塞罕坝森林公园。 乌兰布统旅游开发区现辟有乌兰布统古战场、影视外景地、五彩山、 象群山、夹皮沟等8个旅游景区。 前面乌兰布统草原和概况和交通简要介绍完了,下面就是我与朋友们自驾一日乌兰布统草原的主要路线。 由于我们工作、生活在克什克腾的经棚镇以西的浑善达克沙漠腹地,我们首先驱车70公里走呼海大通道到达经棚镇(不进镇),然后右走西拉沐伦河大峡谷的经山线行驶52 公里后,向右转进入经乌线66.5公里,到达乌兰布统,全程约120公里。 全部行程和景区内行程如如图中箭头所示。主要游览地点西拉沐伦大峡谷、蛤蟆坝、桦木沟、红山、百草敖包、影视基地、跑马场等等(呵呵!有些是在车上观光的)。 下面就是流水帐式的游记了。 有些相片是在车上抓拍的有车窗玻璃反光块,为保持相片的真实性,我就不进行PS处理了。******************************************************************************************************* 从工作和生活营地沿呼海大通道东行来到必如河大桥上,桥下就是北南流向的必如河,远处就是克什克腾旗政府所在地经棚镇。 经棚镇北靠气势雄伟的大兴安岭,南临奔流不息的西拉沐沦河,坐落在必如河两岸平坦的山间低地上,海拔为1005-1040米。经棚镇蒙语称为“必如浩特”,由于蒙语“必如”汉语译为“二岁半”, 故经棚镇也有“半城”之称。经棚镇三面环山,由必如河分成河西、河东两部分,南靠“字山”,山上有藏文“阿弥陀佛”石砌大字,所以得名。西有敖包山,新旧两座大桥将河东、河西两部分街区连接为一体(敬请关注:我会有专门的游记贴子介绍经棚)。 过了必如河大桥到三岔路口,有牌示右转路至乌兰布统120公里(没有拍相片)。车进入西拉沐伦河大峡谷,两侧的山峦起伏,西拉沐伦河伴车南行。 下面就是西拉沐伦河。 西拉木伦河,蒙古语,意为黄色的河。西辽河北源。发源于大兴安岭山地赤峰市克什克腾旗红山北麓白槽沟。古称潢水、乐水、吐护真水等。全长380公里,流域面积32171平方公里,全河总落差1134米,通行舟楫河道800余里。《吕氏春秋》、《淮南子》把它列为“中国六大川”之一,郦道元在《水经注》中也对它有过记载。 峡谷中的村庄。 西拉沐伦河床中植被茂盛,河流弯弯曲曲,很有情调!! 乌孙是公元前二世纪崛起于新疆伊犁河流域的西域古国,鼎盛时期人口达到63万,一度成为西域三十六国最强大的国家,在伊利草原留下了悠久的璀璨历史。东汉末年,乌孙内乱国势羸弱,在鲜卑的攻击下退入葱岭散居,至今天山深处还残留着乌孙古城遗迹。 乌孙向南越过天山沿塔里木河东行直至长安,是乌孙与汉朝使团、商队往来的通道。乌孙(包扎墩)古道与夏特古道相距近200公里,均是连接天山南北的通道,被统称为乌孙古道。 60多年前,一支军队成功连穿了两条古道,1946年,已经控制伊宁地区的三区民族军制订了南北中三线作战计划,南线作战部队于1946年6月从伊犁州特克斯县琼库什台村出发,翻过包扎墩达坂,穿过130公里长的乌孙古道越过天山进击南疆,攻占了拜城和温宿县,在攻打南疆重镇阿克苏失利后,又于10月突破国民党军队在夏特古道的阻击撤回北疆。 我们计划重走60年前的这条行军路线,先从北到南穿越乌孙古道,再从南到北反穿夏特古道回到北疆。 这是一场没能最终完成的旅行,当旅行戛然而止的那一刻心中满是沮丧。无奈和惆怅渐渐淡去,伴随着记忆的回放,那些不断泛起的点点滴滴却总是试图提醒我,这已经是一场完美旅行。 利空出尽是利好 研究路线做好攻略,接下来就是招兵买马,每年的寻伴总是个难,今年也不例外。原计划组建六人队伍,可是折腾了几个月,临到出发前一个月才勉强凑够四个人。 以前每一次旅行都没有超过两人,所以四人的庞大队伍已经让我很是满意,不过,即使是这样低水平的满意也没能持续多久,出发前第9天,一个队员因事要求退出。通常情况少一个人也不打紧,在人数问上我早就习惯了随遇而安,但走这条有些风险的线路,少一个负责技术和安全的核心队员,简直就是釜底抽薪。剩下两位同伴让我心里直打鼓,一个是价真货实的路痴型傻走驴简单,另一个是对线路毫不关心的摄影迷老米(米老鼠)。 简单一门心思痴迷于走路,但从不去关心怎么走,她说看到攻略和地图上的花花碌碌就头晕的厉害,我也就没强逼鸭子上架。 老米忙着研究负重拍片功略也不会去关心徒步攻略,老米这是第二次徒步,第一次负重,为了凑够人数,在我软硬兼施的动员下好不容易才把他给拉入队伍,他原本不是路痴,处于对二十年老友的盲目信任让他自甘堕落成了路痴。 虽然都是两眼一抹黑,路痴甲和路痴乙却具有强烈的革命乐观主义精神,他俩意见高度统一,“队长,怕啥呢,走不通回头是岸。”很干脆的把一大堆烦恼丢给了我。 去年穿越乌孙古道的小蜜蜂特意叮嘱我,三个人过科克苏河上的溜索基本不可能,那些溜索绑在离地近三米高的树干上,人手太少很难把人托举起挂上溜索,除非你能像猴子一样爬树。在那些纠结的日子里,不止一次梦到自己出现了严重的返祖现象。 纠结的日子里利空消息传来,科克苏河上的溜索已经被洪水冲断,线路受阻,于是紧急研究备用路线方案——绕道溜索上游木桥多走两天多翻三个达坂完成穿越。 备用方案还没捂热,更大的利空接踵而至,而且是坏事成双——溜索上游所有的木桥都被洪水冲毁,必经之路科克苏河已经无法逾越+夏特大冰壁断裂,线路有大变动。 这些不能回避又没法证实的坏消息让人头疼,我试图把这些重大利空与甲乙同志分享,两同志沉浸在徒步装备购置和摄影器材添置带来的网购快乐中,显然无暇它顾,不过他们的意见仍然很统一,“队长,别怕,走不通回头另找一条路走就是。”似乎天山里通向南疆的坦途多如牛毛。 我只能心怀侥幸的安慰自己——兴许,利空出尽就该是利好了吧。 反复研究路上可能会遇到的困难,保护措施也独个儿演练了好几次(甲乙同志都很忙,没空参与),心里还是忐忑不安,骨灰级路痴已经指望不上,只能叮嘱自称地理高考98分(20年前还是100分制)的老米认真研究攻略,我想,路上有个人商量总是能壮壮胆。 第二天,老米兴奋的告诉我,“攻略看完了,搞半天才弄明白我们队伍是先走乌孙再走夏特呀!”说完顺便问了一句:“背几个镜头合适些?三脚架带哪种?”直接打消了我拉人壮胆的幻想。 出发前了解到今年还有几支队伍进乌孙,一交流才发现很不对劲,几乎每支队伍都是经过多次拉练层层筛选淘汰才组建起来,对这些队伍来讲,走过墨脱就自称强驴的人连参加拉练的资格都没有,选拔队员的准最低也是特种兵级别。 回头再看我们生拉活拽勉强凑成的队伍,怎么看怎么像草台班子,不过心里还是暗自庆幸,幸亏我们是今年第一支溜进山的穿越队伍,否则在路上遇到特种兵,民兵们多半都不好意思招呼。老米老友第二次徒步第一次负重 八卦城 9月19日清晨8点35分,从乌鲁木齐出发的5815次列车驶进伊宁市火车站,提前联系好的王师傅(王正林13519993637)已经等在火车站门口,坐上车就直奔徒步起点——特克斯县琼库什台村。 特克斯是乌孙古国夏都所在地,现在的特克斯县城始建于1938年,因完全依据后天八卦图建成而得名八卦城。 据特克斯县志记载,南宋嘉定三年,道教全真七子之一的丘处机应成吉思汗的邀请前往西域,在游历天山的途中,发现了特克斯这块“风水龙脉”,丘处机用后天八卦图确定了坎北、离南、震东、兑西的八卦方位,这就是特克斯八卦城雏型的最早传说。 1936年,新疆军阀盛世才的岳父宗秋浚调任伊犁屯垦使兼警备司令,精通易理的宗秋浚也发现了特克斯这块风水宝地,他亲自设计了八卦城图,1938年,特克斯县县长班吉春开始主持修建八卦城。 八卦城堪称《周易》八卦学说与城市规划实践完美结合的经典之作,八卦城以城中心花园为太极“阴阳”两仪,按八卦方位向外辐射八条主街,每条主街长1200米,每隔360米一条环路,一环8条街,二环16条街,三环32条街,四环64条街。这些街道按八卦方位形成了64卦,整个八卦城栩栩如生的演绎了《周易》学说的深奥内涵,简直是建筑史上的奇迹。进山前在特克斯县最后一次进餐,所以这碗大号牛肉面端上来后,我又另添了一份牛肉和一份面条 路痴甲培训路痴乙 从特克斯县出来很快进山,拐进河谷,眼前的水电工地干得热火朝天,面对挖得乱七八糟的道路,王师傅有些傻眼,他说去年来的时候这里的河谷静悄悄。 一辆水泥搅拌车突突的开过来,开车师傅竟然是王师傅的熟人,一阵寒暄后,在他的指点下东绕西绕终于绕上进山的碎石路。 百无聊赖中,简单竟然破天荒的关心起线路来,听到简单漫不经心的随口一问,老米立马来了精神,临时抱佛脚掏出功略开始认真讲解起来。忙着现炒现卖着意卖弄的老米,显然没注意到简单已经听的昏昏欲睡,忍不住嘀咕了一句,“路痴甲培训路痴乙。” 老米讪笑着住了口。 琼库什台村 翻过山口,蕴积已久的乌云终于垮下脸,雨开始下个不停,山谷里浓雾弥漫,能见度极低,王师傅紧握着方向盘,汽车缓慢滑行在泥泞的下山道上,雨雾中我们抵达了徒步起点——琼库什台牧业村。 下车后,开始重新打包收拾,一群哈萨克牧民迅速聚集过来,围着我们指指点点议论个不停,出发前拍合影时,看稀奇的牧民们呼啦一下涌进镜头,毫不客气的把几个穿越主角给生生挤到角落里去。 下午三点半,我们在淅淅沥沥的雨中出发。出发前的合影,牧民成了主角,中间这位大汉颇有点舍我其谁的气势 甲可思摸 雨雾在山谷里快速涌动,山林溪流忽隐忽现,我们沿着湿滑泥泞的马道往山谷深处走去,出发后老米显得很兴奋,拿着相机拍得很起劲,泥泞马道上左右穿插频频按动快门,尽管镜头上已是水珠点点,还是时不时的来个雨中静物特写,队伍走走停停简直就像是幼儿园的春游。 琼库什台村是哈萨克族牧民聚居点,不时有骑马牧民赶着牛羊回村,入秋后天气渐冷,天山深处的达坂已经积雪,牧民开始从深山牧场往村子里撤,牛背马背上驮着大捆大捆的家当。 沿途牧民总是向我们投来好奇的目光,路上临时抱佛脚学了一句哈萨克语的“你好”——甲可思摸,这下终于能派上用场,于是见人就是“甲可思摸”,把迎面而来的牧民挨个“摸”了一遍,尽管“摸”得很认真,老米有时还帮着“摸”,有些牧民甚至连“摸”了好几遍,我们殷勤的劳动却没有收获热情的果实。 大多数牧民骑在高头大马上傲然斜睨,神色冷然,骑马的看不起走路的我能理解,自古以来,骑兵瞧不起步兵本就是一种光荣传统。所以,偶尔有骑兵点点头就会引来我们使劲的“摸”,偶尔有骑兵赏脸回“摸”步兵一下,这一“摸”总是让我很激动。驮着全副家当回村的牧民,这头牛长的有些喜剧,像是戴着白色面具 再来一次? 进山的道路沿着溪流左岸缓慢爬升,穿出树林,雨水更加稠密,茫茫白雾笼罩着山野,哗哗的流水声回荡在山谷。 云雾中行走,我们对风景的期待已经降到最低准,偶尔浓雾倏忽散开,那仿若施舍般显露出来的茵茵草地和山谷木屋,总是引得我和老米手忙脚乱,很没出息的抢着掏相机。 斜坡上马道泥泞湿滑,泥浆被牲口践踏得一团糟,所谓马道,现在看起来就是马走起来很爽,人走起来很不爽的道路。不愿在泥浆里深一脚浅一脚的踩,改走上斜坡草地,不料绿茵草地积满水更加湿滑,暗藏杀机。 没走出多远,支撑脚一滑,身体陡然歪斜,肩上压着70斤的重量,担心受伤不敢硬拧,把相机紧搂在怀里,侧身重重的倒在泥水里,慢慢的爬起身,已成了个泥人。 老米和简单呆呆的看我表演,连忙转头问老米:“拍照了没有?”两人连连摇头,看到我遗憾的表情,老米说,“或者,你再来一次?”斜坡草地,看上去很美,狼狈不堪的从地上爬起来,满脸是泥 邀请来得太早 爬上山坡,道旁木屋里走出一个年轻女子,在雨中径直向我们走来,用生硬的汉语招呼着:“休息不?吃饭不?”反复问了几遍又用手做出扒饭的动作。 走在山谷里,沿途擦身而过的牧民都显得很冷淡,突然走出个年轻女子这么热情的邀请,巨大的反差让我有点受宠若惊。 通常在旅行途中,别说这样热情的邀请没法拒绝,即使是蹭吃蹭喝的机会偶尔乍现,都会让我忙不迭的扑上去。 回头看看老米和简单,他们对年轻女人的热情邀请显得无动于衷,的确,年轻女人的邀请来得太早了些,即使在冰冷的雨水中走路很不爽,可是才走一个多小时就让他们停下来吃喝享乐,老米可能无所谓,简单多半打死也不从。 悻悻婉拒了女人的热情邀请,继续向雨雾弥漫的山谷深处走去,走出很远,还心欠欠的频频回头张望。 路痴定律 雨水无休止的倾泻,内衣已经湿透,气温降得很低,就在卸包吃馕那一小会儿功夫,双手很快就冻僵,连馕饼都拿捏不住。 走到近7点半,道旁又是一座空置的木屋,新疆的天空到9点钟才全黑,拿不准天黑前还能不能遇到木屋,这样的坏天气在泥泞的草地上扎营简直就是一场悲剧。 在木屋里扎营,老米没意见,简单却很不乐意。 简单已经冲到前面很远,被叫回来时满脸的不情愿,她说刚开始兴奋起来,状态正好走的正带劲就叫停当然很不爽。不情不愿的卸下包,简单还舍不得进屋,带着没走满意的无奈表情,独个儿在雨中转悠了几圈又主动提出去河边提水。 简单高高兴兴提着水桶去河边继续过瘾,我和老米燃起篝火,身上的衣服都快烤干,简单还没回来,心中有些惴惴不安,正准备出门找人,简单带着满身水汽闯进来,满脸惊惶地说:“糟糕,迷路了,差点我就回不来了!” 到100米远的地方打水也会迷路?我和老米面面相觑,都有点回不过神来。 细问才弄明白,简单来到坡下的小溪,装满水桶掉头就走,走到一个断崖边才发觉走错了路,既然已经走晕了头,路痴驴肯定弄不明白自己走到了哪里,也弄不明白自己是怎么走到这里来的。呼喊了几声没有回应,简单这下慌了神,提着水桶东奔西跑,却总也走不出山沟,后来糊里糊涂从某个地方钻出来,看到木屋才好不容易摸回来。 “打水后你怎么就没按原路返回呢?”老米觉得不可思议。 “转过身就糊涂了,以为走的就是原路哒,每次都这样,只要我认为方向是正确的,那一定已经弄错了。”简单一脸的无辜,显得很委屈。 老米是第一次领教简单的路痴绝活,很有些后怕,“早知道这样,应该把救生哨给你带在身上,迷路了就吹哨。” “哨子解决不了问,以后简单去打水得给她配个向导。”路痴驴的路痴本色我曾经深刻领教过,已经是有点见惯不惊,不过看到老米对简单的路痴本质认识还不够深刻,忍不住开口提醒他。 经过了这茬,对路痴驴的保护开始形成制度,行进队型严格固定——我开路,老米收队,简单夹在中间。同时明确了三条纪律——绝对不允许简单冲到队伍前面或在队伍后面逗留;行进途中,必须确保简单始终处于我和老米至少一人的视线以内;绝对禁止简单同学的营地活动超过视线范围(嘘嘘除外)。 这才刚出发,简单就给我们来了个下马威,路痴定律随之出炉——只要简单认为是正确的,那一定已经错了。 英俊少年 清晨,雨过天晴,浓雾依然弥漫山谷。 收拾出发已经10点钟,一个哈萨克少年骑马追上我们,超越后却并不远去,就呆在前面三五米的地方慢慢催马前行,英俊少年显得对我们很感兴趣,坐在马背上回转身,眼神直勾勾紧盯着我们。 “甲可思摸。”连摸几遍没有反应,英俊少年马背上回身的姿势仿佛凝固一般,依然是直勾勾的盯着,始终保持在我们前面一点走着,颇有点带路的意味。 其实,沿途的哈萨克牧民虽然冷漠,却总会不由自主流露出对旅游者的浓厚兴趣,虽然长居深山不善交流,脸上总是一副冷漠表情,但身体语言却暴露了他们的内心想法。 通常牧民远远看到我们多半会早早的挺直胸膛,在马背上坐的笔直,经过身边时突然催马加速,快速跑出一段再潇洒的勒马回头张望。 这个英俊少年也不例外,尽管骑在马上就像一尊雕塑,但看得出雕塑对我们的兴趣是相当的浓厚。 死的比活的管用 马道从山坡上切到山谷溪流边,一座木桥横跨溪流,另一条路沿溪流左岸通向山谷深处,“包扎墩,这里?”我指着木桥试探地问少年,少年很快做出回应,使劲的摇着头,再问了一遍,少年还是摇头,还抬手指了指左边的山道。 其实攻略上写的很清楚,过桥是正道,不过,攻略是死的,人是活的。 相信人还是相信攻略,这是个问! 后来回想起来,提出这个问,就已经是脑子被驴踢了的表现。 心里拿不准,指着木桥又问了一遍,少年坚决的摇摇头,催马走上左边山道停下来等我。 少年很执着的等在前面,犹豫了半天跟上少年,爬上草坡,少年脸上绽开了笑容,竟然哼起曲子来,拍着马鞍冲我招招手,示意让我上马。 我回头示意简单,简单很不屑的摇摇头,这下少年兴趣马上发生转移,掉转马头紧随简单身旁行走,眼睛直勾勾的盯着简单,曲子哼的更起劲了。 翻过山坳,浓雾中传出犬吠声声,木屋前几只牧羊犬作势扑咬,一个汉子应声出门喝止。看到我们,汉子显得很激动,手舞足蹈抛出一长串话来,他越激动我心里越拧巴,因为他的汉话太拧巴。 果然,我们走错了路,虽然人是活的攻略是死的,不过这次死的显然比活的更管用。 好不容易逮着个能开口说话的牧人,连忙拉住他询问科克苏河上的溜索。 “不在,没有了。”汉子连连摇头。 “桥?木桥?在不在?” “不在,冲走了!” 汉子的回答让我心里一沉,老米和简单心态很好,“到了河边再说吧。” 汉子叫来一个老汉,指着树林方向,让他带我们抄近路插过去。 光线的诱惑 随着老汉跨过独木桥,翻过山坡,走出树林,眼前豁然开朗,宽阔的斜坡草地一直延向浓雾弥漫的山谷。 告别老汉,顺草坡而下,遮蔽山谷的浓雾仿佛被一只无形的手牵引,大幕般缓缓向上提起,山谷里的草甸、木屋、牛羊从大幕下一点一点显露出来,阳光星星点点洒落草场,沉睡的大地开始苏醒,盎然生机在起伏的山峦间涌动。 由衷的喜悦在心里流淌,我踏露而行,缓步走进慢慢显露的梦幻世界。晨雾的帷幕慢慢拉开,云雾渐渐散去时的光线那么迷人,我和老米像中了魔似地,频频举起相机按下快门。 帷幕吊胃口般走几步就拉开一点点,云雾一点一点的拉开,阳光一点一点的洒落,大脑已经停止了运转被视觉支配着,恍恍惚惚走上几步,就举起相机按下快门,三步一停,五步一顿,一点一点被诱惑着迈动脚步。 这段路程的记忆很模糊,或者当时脑子里本就已经是模糊不清,简直就是一段魔幻的演绎,恍惚中已经不是在行走,似乎化作了一股快乐的溪流,从山坡上缓缓淌进雨后初晴的山谷牧场,就像一个蹩脚的后期剪辑作品,上一个镜头里我还在山坡上面对着茫茫白雾,下一个镜头切过来已经站在仙境般的谷地四处张望。 雾气渐散,阳光一缕一缕穿透云雾,仿佛带着重量般冲坠到山谷草地,草尖上密集的露珠在阳光映射下精灵般熠熠生辉,仙境一样的通透色彩在山谷里流动,清鲜的青草芳香,湿润的泥土气息,伴随着袅袅缥缈的薄雾在草地上飘荡,沁人心脾。 都是迷路惹的祸 几道栅栏挡在面前,牧场上忙碌的妇人走过来指点我们从栅栏低矮处翻进去,刚落地,她的老公从木屋后转出来,热情邀请我们进屋喝茶。扔下背包径直往屋里去,我不敢客气,怕一客气就把机会给客气掉了。 汉子叫卡德拉洪,他一眼瞥见我手里的相机,伸手就把老婆拉到面前,问我:“照相?” 俗话说吃人的嘴软,这样的问话通常也就只是走个过场而已。 卡德拉洪拉着老婆转来转去摆POSE,拍了逆光拍顺光、拍了牧场背景换木屋背景再换牛羊背景,拍完老婆接着拍夫妻照,也是顺光逆光牧场木屋牛羊换着花样来…… 好不容易折腾完,我还惦记着屋子里的热茶,正准备收工往屋里钻,卡德拉洪把手指塞进嘴里打出个响亮的呼哨,一个少年应声从山坡上拍马冲出,黑马少年冲到近前,原来是卡德拉洪二世驾临,于是又是一番排列组合,拍了儿子拍母子,拍了马上拍马下,拍了逆光拍顺光…… 相机装进包之前我环顾四周,忍不住多问了一句:“您,家里还有其他人吗?”卡德拉洪摇摇头把我们迎进木屋。 按规矩进屋之前先洗手,炕桌上很快摆出奶茶、面饼、奶油,卡德拉洪手法熟练的切着熟羊肉。喝着醇香奶茶,嚼着香喷喷的羊肉,清炖羊肉是那样的鲜美,我忍不住说了一句:“都是迷路惹的祸啊!”老米砸吧着嘴连连点头。 山寨版挤奶工,性别优势很明显 天山牧场 不知不觉就在卡德拉洪家里磨蹭了一个多小时,在简单的催促下才不舍作别。 火辣的阳光从湛蓝天空洒落下来,潮湿的草地蒸腾起一团团雾气,紧贴着地面漂浮,像一丛丛白色的火焰在燃烧。 皑皑雪山环绕山谷,峰顶冰雪在阳光下烁烁生辉,绿草如茵铺满大地,牛羊散落在草甸上悠闲的踱步,溪流切开绿草地蜿蜒流淌,潺潺的流水声悦耳动听,天地间透出恬静安详的气息。眼前这一切与脑子里臆想了无数遍的天山牧场竟然分毫不差,一种遥远又熟悉的感觉油然而生,心神安宁,信步缓行,我听得见心脏在舒缓的跳动。 穿行在美丽的山谷,忍不住回头对老米感叹,这一段路大概就是天山牧场的精髓了吧。 灿烂的阳光把坏天气带来的阴郁一扫而光,有了阳光的眷顾,整个山谷焕发出熠熠神彩。阳光也有副作用,自从它出现以后,我们的队伍行走起来就慢的像蜗牛,我和老米走走停停,尽情释放摁下快门的快感。 现在回想起来,似乎从第二天开始,懒散悠游的种子就开始在队伍里萌芽,我和老米首先就已经在阳光、美景面前举手缴械,很默契的把拍照排在了第一位,那些出发前的徒步计划被有意无意的忽略掉。 这些变化很微妙,一门心思追求傻走的简单竟然没有及时感知,也就没有提出抗议,这也无意中助长了我们的歪风邪气。 可怕的是,这些行走中的变化,仅仅只是刚开始。 负重 溪流在山谷流淌,马道穿行溪畔,行走在阳光照耀的青草地,与昨天的雨雾待遇相比,今天简直就是进了天堂。 转过山弯,海拔3660米的包扎墩达坂跃入眼帘,雪山环绕,马道沿着山谷缓慢爬升,走过溪流上的木桥,坡度变陡,队伍开始渐渐拉长。 出发前队伍减少了一个人,负重的压力陡然增加,因为乌孙出山后无法采购的原因,穿越夏特的很多物品不得不全程背负。在乌鲁木齐,背包过秤的结果让我们有点发怵,老米和简单分别是66斤、50斤,背包重量都超过了体重的一半,出发前反复测算的控制重量被大大突破。 虽然每件超重物品都只超了一点点,但汇总起来就很可怕。食品主要由简单采购,按照清单检查时,每种食品的超重理由她都说的很充分——没有小包装、重量估计失误、某样东西特好吃必不可少、某样东西是为某样东西配套必不可少、某样东西是我没考虑到她想到的必不可少……这些理由我统统都能接受,她的一口袋护肤品超计划我也能忍受,她的不锈钢大饭盒纯属多余我咬着牙也忍了,但当她掏出一双沉甸甸的精钢筷子时,直接让我崩溃了,伸手夺过来要扔掉,简单着急的阻拦,“别!这是我家最好的筷子,用很多年了。”后来,每当她掏出这沉甸甸的传家宝吃饭,都会把我给重新刺激一次。 清理半天的结果让我很郁闷,唯一减掉的就是我那把折叠大刀。 组队时对老米的许诺是负重不超过50斤,主要是担心报价太高把他给吓退,毕竟这是他的第一次负重徒步。把人拉进队伍后给他说了实话——不超过55斤,我心里明白这个重量还有不少水分,毕竟我们的公司刚刚组建,业绩压力太大容易把新员工给吓跑。 退出一名队员后报价顺势涨到60斤,通货膨胀的压力在那儿明摆着,所以这次涨价老米很理解。老米这人很重感情,虽然这个重量已经让他心里打鼓晚上睡不安稳,但作为多年老友,他显然不好意思到这个节骨眼上还拆我的吊桥。第一次负重就享受到这样良好的待遇,老米还没出门心里就已经是忐忑不安,在乌鲁木齐称重后更是显得心事重重。 不过两天走下来大伙儿很快从心理和生理上都适应了背负,负重已经不是什么负担。老米只是抱怨背负重量严重影响立片的拍摄操作,这一点我也深受其苦,重压下的右肩右臂频繁抬起,不仅稳定性差,背包带紧勒下还有点呼吸困难,没多久我和老米的右肩就红肿起来,抬手拍立片简直就是煎熬。 心有不甘的扎营 马道在乱石陡坡上延伸,第一次负重爬山老米需要适应节奏,渐渐的落在了后面。 走到下午六点,天气陡变,乌云翻滚着从包扎墩达坂上压下来,天空飘起了雪花,很快雪花变成黄豆大的雹粒噼里啪啦洒下来。 今天的计划是翻过包扎墩达坂扎营,这一路上挥霍了太多时间,按我们的进度估计,爬上达坂正好是天黑时分,下山还需要一两个小时。望着乌云翻滚的达坂,在恶劣的天气里走夜路还是让我有些惴惴不安,不过这么早就停下扎营心里更是不甘,呆望着垭口犹豫不定,回头与追上来的老米商量。 老米毫不犹豫的说安全第一,正好山湾里有个空置的木屋,我顺水推舟安排在木屋里卸包扎营。 这么早就安营扎寨,仍然是老米很高兴,简单很不甘心。在干燥的木屋里烧水做饭,老米满怀憧憬的询问,“我们是不是每天都能住在这样的木屋里?” 午夜,天气好转,如水月光铺满山谷,亮如白昼。 康复治疗 胃病和失眠一直折磨老米多年,体质每况愈下。08年我计划穿越巴丹吉林沙漠,寻伴无果的情况下就开始撺掇老米把他的处男行贡献出来,我的想法一开始就把他给吓着了,头摇的像拨浪鼓。也难怪,从没徒步过,一走就是十多天,而且还是进沙漠,想起来都是灾难,老米死活不从。 无奈之下我借着酒劲就开始给他下猛药,“老米呀,一个男人,这辈子总得做出一两件自己觉得不可能的事情来,当你老了以后可以翻出来在儿子面前炫耀。”这贴药药性太猛,把老米刺激的半宿没睡着,大清早就毅然决然的告诉我,“豁出去了!” 老米壮着胆子到巴丹吉林沙漠里走了11天,顶着狂风暴雨烈日的行走,每天喝着盐碱水,饱一顿饥一顿吃着含沙量很高的饭菜,睡在风吹雨打的帐篷里,老米惊喜地发现困扰多年的胃病和失眠症竟然不治而愈,看到老米从沙漠里回来变得睡觉倍儿香、吃饭倍儿棒、身体倍儿壮、精神头倍儿足,米嫂很是满意。 身体变好后老米消停了两年没再动弹,于是那些老毛病又开始跳出来作怪,身体状况越来越让米嫂感到担心。 今年的天山穿越寻伴依然很困难,无奈中再次打上了老米的主意,在我的反复撺掇和米嫂的坚决支持下,老米终于下定决心再来一次康复治疗。 疗效很神奇,简直就是立竿见影,从走路的第一天开始,老米就变得能吃能睡,晚上躺进睡袋不到半分钟就开始打鼾,失眠症的影子都找不到一点,反倒弄得我在他的鼾声干扰下开始失眠。 旅程还没过半,再次尝到甜头的老米就已经下定决心——以后每年巩固一次疗效。 监护人 温暖的阳光洒进山谷,天气大晴,老米在笔记本上如此记录——第三天,10点30分出发,我们的队伍越来越拖沓。 的确如此,我们的队伍以每天延迟半个小时拔营的速度迅速堕落下去,直到第六天出发时,一看时间竟然已经是中午12点,这才让我们开始悚然警觉。 爬上山坳,宽广的乱石山谷尽头就是包扎墩达坂,达坂上积雪不多,琼库什台村牧民比划的雪深及大腿显然是在吓唬人。 我们没走马道,朝着垭口方向,从谷底径直往上切,草坡爬上去就进入乱石堆,石缝里不时散落着北山羊那硕大的羊角,简单在乱石上轻盈的快速挪动,老米对这样的走法有些不适应,每一步都踩得很稳,渐渐落到后面。 第一天就约定老米收队,负责对简单的保护,如果是平路和下坡路,他的保护做得非常到位,老米做事很是认真严谨,严格贯彻人盯人的对位防守策略,总是寸步不离的把简单跟得很紧,这样严密的保护显得有点矫枉过正,看起来老米似乎不是在担心路痴驴走丢,而是在防止路痴驴一不留神就插翅飞走。 一旦开始爬山老米的保护就变得失控,简单每逢爬山必定会兴奋起来,而且是山势越陡越高兴,海拔越高越兴奋,步子迈得飞快,总是把监护人甩到后面很远,如果是冲垭口,那简直就是出笼的小鸟,不管不顾一个劲往前冲。 对这种一门心思傻走的路痴型特质人群,脱离监护是很危险的举动,于是给她约法三章,爬山时,收队的监护人可以甩,开路的监护人不能超,简单答应的很憋屈,却很守纪律,不越雷池一步。 心理学原理告诉我们,人的思维定势一旦形成,往往就像一个无形的囚笼把自己罩起来,简单就是个典型例子,后来,偶尔因拍照时需要道具让她走到我前面去,她犹豫着看过来的眼神,分明是在怀疑我的提议会不会是个陷阱。 包扎墩达坂 昨天路上来往的牧民还是络绎不绝,到今天却一下子全没了影,空旷的山谷里只有我们仨在孤单的行走。 直到走上达坂下的之字形陡坡,马道上才开始出现积雪和薄冰,马道很好走,严格按照走五十步驻步喘五口气的节奏走路,上升的很快。 快到垭口,横切过一段平路,前方就是垭口,垭口岩石上赫然站着一只黑狗,看到我冒头就作势欲扑狂吠起来,垭口上竟然有劫道的狗?难道新疆的狗都这么霸道?如此牛狗!我对它不由得肃然起敬。 朝着霸占垭口的牛狗就冲了过去,还没等我举起登山杖,黑狗就忙不迭转身奔逃,待我爬上垭口,它已经变成了一个小黑点。 垭口寒风刺骨,放眼望去,碧空如洗,广阔山谷一览无遗,湛蓝的天幕下峰峦叠嶂,雪山屹立连绵不绝,阳光照射在达坂冰川上,反射出耀眼的光芒,我们顶着寒风呆了大半个小时开始下山。在山下又遇到落荒而逃的黑狗,当它消除敌意后,抵近拍照留念 马队的邀请 沿着溪流连下两个陡坡,走进了宽阔草场,草场尽头散落着两座木屋,远远的看到山腰木屋处走出一只马队,很快来到近前。 三男一女一婴五马一声不哼横挡在面前,审视的眼神上下打量,那只收买路钱的黑狗和他们站在一起,有了后台肯定就有底气,黑狗呲牙咧嘴的盯着我。 一声不哼是因为不会说汉话,冷漠是深山里牧民的天性使然,审视是对陌生人好奇。山里的牧民都显得很矜持,不会一见到你就热情起来,他们会仔细观察你的言行,直到决定接受你,不过,即便接受了你,他们看起来仍然很矜持,只能从眼角和嘴角的细微变化看出一点对你的好感来。 老米从后面赶上来把烟递过去,男人们脸上开始有了笑容,抱着孩子的女人开始叽里咕噜的问话。 语言不通,试探着模仿他们拿腔拿调的口气说了几声:“我们,去,科克苏河。”男人们对视一眼,有人点了点头,指了指山下科克苏河的方向,领头的大鼻子汉子拍了拍空马鞍,示意我们可以上马,回头向简单转达了马队的邀请,“不骑,走路更舒服!”简单使劲的摇着头。 马队沿着河谷溪流一溜小跑,在泥泞崎岖的马道上很快走远。午后煮茶休息,这是每天必不可少的内容,通常情况会耽搁一个小时多一点,这一路上的南瓜皮的确有点多三男一女一婴五马挡住去路,别说我不识数,有一匹被挡住了我们试图追着马队走,但两条小溪缠住我们的脚步,马队很快没影了([]

There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. There are many ways in one's life too, you can only take it once and you will no long have the courage to repeat it.I pushed the bike crossing the river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... I liked such a colorful and peaceful Chang Tang and very much enjoyed my camp and myself bathed in such beautiful colour.The ice like this was very thin and suspended, far away from the main stemHard surface with half-melted underneath, the soft sand at the botton was most scaryThe ice like this could easily jam the wheels, hard to get it outI had to unload the panniersChaotic water and terrible hails turned up in no timeThe Chang Tang at the moment liked it used to be,a mixture of cold and warm tones under the golden setting sun Day 8 (April 27), 14.6km, Camping 5112mLast night, I forgot to bring in the odometer, which was out of order due to the coldness in midnight. Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. The accuracy of this prediction was about 80%.The road was very bad today. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The nightmare was over.Cold and clear morningHeavy morning condensation in the interior, a lot of frost to clearSuch dawning sunlight indicated a cloudy day ahead Day 9 (April 28), 18km, 5072mIn the morning I entered a range of sandy roads which were so terrible. The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. This was just because I found there was a little bit of extra space when I was in Nagri packing the stuff for this journey so that I bought two packs of cereals. It tasted disgusting, probably there was too much alkali in the water. I threw away half of it. Later I realised that probably I subconsciously felt that the provisions was so heavy. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. The thing was that if you were not afraid of them and moved forward, they would run away in no time. There were only some mad yaks attacking people, which was really rare to happen. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. They use them from their teens to the time when their hair becomes silver.The deserted Jeep, could be left by illegal hunters years agoThe slaughtered wild yaks with the wheel size heads. Some of the skulls were chopped into half. Why was that? Could be taken away for making combs?My camp at the foot of the Daban underthe lingering golden rays of the setting sun. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Therefore, the then government called on people to cull back the population of the wolves in Chang Tang, which resulted in the current situation directly. The last official record about wolves attacking humans was around 1970s, which happened in Bamaoqiongzong. A team of secientists was surrounded by a group of wolves and they had to shoot them using guns. Of course, at present in Chang Tang, wolves are absolutely lonely.In this traverse, the first time I encountered a pair of wolves, one of them staying in front of me pretending to attack me while the other staying behind me. This is the standard attacking strategy of wolves. First, you should not be nervous which can be easily detected by the predators. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
