OK好吧,我承认一开始就没有写游记的打算,成都这一段图片一张没有拍。 众所周知,成都是一个很放松的城市,人人都喜欢耍,喝茶、火锅、麻将生活必不可少,不会像现在的城市、浮躁扭曲的价值观为本位现象,我觉得成都恰恰与国际接轨,之所以四川、重庆朋友能以这样的态度来面对生活,恰恰是内心的宽容和见解高人一筹!赞一个!!!!!第二天就杀到泸定牛背山脚下,在军长家中住了一晚,次日徒步上山。这几位是在成都发往泸定的班车上结伴的!是西南名族大学摄影协会的童鞋! 这是在军长家吃面的图片,典型的四川特制红油拌面,口水直流!!! 早上8点爬到下午三点,上班族的我体能真心差,最后只好搭了一辆重庆夫妇的牧马人抵达山顶,由于我五点多就到了,大部队六点多到,山上已经大雾,什么都看不见,一个人扎营山顶过了一晚。OK--个名字吧 义乌如风户外这就是让我搭车的好心夫妇(冒哥、冒嫂)9月来牛背山并不是最好的时候,我们在山上等候了48个小时,一直在下小雨,欲哭无泪! 好不容易天晴了10分钟,乌云又来了。牛背山这种碎石铺成的路可谓是惊险连连,越野车在这里才能算真的物尽其用!下山搭了一辆丰田霸道去了康定,司机于另外二人均是一同前往北京买车,现在返回新疆。都是做生意的人,边走边玩。我给他们做了一条川藏南线和青藏线的沿途简易攻略。到了康定算是已经进入藏区了,本地人大部分是藏族的。康定县城山上随处可见这样的壁画这个新鲜带壳的核桃第一次见,原来是绿色的,剥了皮就好了。康定的夜景不错哦,特别是湍急的河流在县城主干道上,气势不一般哦,川藏线进藏康定建议停留一下哦。康定情歌大名鼎鼎了!这个电影院上的图案也挺有意思!!!!好吧,出门在外要会照顾自己,买了1.5斤排骨一餐吃完,把肉当饭吃确实佩服自己。 第二天一早在康定坐了一个私家车去新都桥,40元,这的私家车为了拼客,足足让我等了一个多小时才开。新都桥小镇公路旁的房子大多是新盖的,看起来还是比较文艺吧。今晚就在这住一晚,20元一晚,还是比较划算吧,老板娘看我在路上走的,就把我带到她家了。他家没挂牌,看内部装饰,我想应该是对外经营的旅馆!男人就要轰轰烈烈第二天一早在镇里坐了一辆私家车去塔公,20元,车上一个喇嘛一直子念经,非常虔诚。藏族朋友的车子和他们房间一样,气味还是挺大的。塔公镇在修路,一直堵车,最后只好自己下车走到了塔公寺。塔公寺的白塔群相当的壮观,我以为白塔里面是装经文,也有可能是藏族朋友往生,骨灰埋葬在里面吧,还请广大朋友解答。 在塔公寺转经筒偶遇一慈祥老奶奶,这张脸让我想到了索达吉堪布写的那本畅销书《苦才是人生》。我忍不住的拍了一张,但是她问我要钱了。我很诧异,是什么让这位白发苍苍的老人,一辈子念经,到了人生最后的阶段,还能放下尊严!藏文经幡,藏族基本上是信仰佛教,经幡随处可见,常转法轮!简易佛塔,几块石头做一个玛尼堆,堆一个塔,既是信仰。南方很多寺院金碧辉煌,却无生气! 老奶奶在户外晒太阳唠嗑还请我吃东西,看看他们吃的是什么吧!大饼大肉,还有野果子哦!这是牦牛肉干,听藏民朋友讲:买牦牛肉要到市场买新鲜牦牛肉,然后自己腌制起来,就可长期保存。市场上的牦牛肉干有可能是其他牛肉做的,牦牛肉干好的一百多一斤。看完了塔公寺准备搭车离开,等了很久也没有车去炉霍方向,走着走着,遇到四个年轻人,两男两女,他们也是搭车的,我就和他们一道搭车。没想到那个美女拦了一辆大挂车,车居然停了,而且我们五个可以全部坐上去。我瞅瞅车上,至少能坐七八个小伙伴吧,呵呵 我们当天就到炉霍县了。司机放着音乐,我们哼着小调,从来没有这样的释怀。和比自己年轻的朋友一起玩,会更有激情。顺利抵达炉霍县,当天还去山上的寺院转了一圈,这里虽没有喇荣佛学院那么震撼,但也有他的特色。炉霍的寺院 第二天我们5人又一同搭车去了色达,我一个人先搭了一辆哈佛越野车,没想到车上还有2人搭车,就是这2个屌丝,哈哈!从尼泊尔搭车过来,反走川藏北线,从丁青过来。这两人一晚上通宵徒步,半夜三点搭到一辆大货车到炉霍。口袋里剩下80元钱,一天没有吃东西,一个月没有洗澡换衣服。绝对的屌丝,我深感佩服!!!这两人刚结婚,这趟就是度蜜月之旅哈哈哈哈!!!!路上的牦牛哥也不是好惹得,就是不让路哈哈哈这牛头看起来有点像头骨的感觉抵达色达县城后,在县城乘坐面包车去佛学院,5元一个人,或者包车20一辆。车子只能到佛学院停车场,也就是半山腰。当时我就被眼前的一幕给震撼到了 这种小木屋全部是学生自己花钱建的,造价几千元。听说现在女众区大概购买一个小木屋价格在3-5万。男众区会便宜点,因为男的出家相对女的少一点。佛学院是必须出家后才能进入学习的,通常会有一段时间考察期,老师认为可以就没多大问,不需要考试,也不需要推荐走后面,这里面人才济济,听说很多国外一流大学的高材生也在此地出家学习,国内的大学生就更多了。并且部分课程多语种教学!这样密密麻麻的在山腰上的建筑真是震撼人心,有人说这样的建筑像贫民区,我很明确的告诉他,这就是一个贫民区! 爬到山顶扎帐篷,悠闲的度过了一日。期间有个觉母(女众出家者)从屋子的窗户丢出几包干粮给我吃,非常感谢,误闯女众区,抱歉!这张图片是同行朋友用小日本相机慢曝出来的图

记 要么阅读,要么旅行。身体和灵魂必须有一个在路上。路线:HK – KL – LGK – KL – Melaca– KL – GZ 香港 – 吉隆坡 – 兰卡威 – 吉隆坡 – 马六甲 – 吉隆坡 – 香港费用:证(加邮费)=RMB 200机票HK – KL 往返 +KL – LGK往返 = RMB1100住宿5晚 = RMB 500 /人6天5夜当地各种开销 = RMB 1600共计 = 约RMB 3400在2012年6月6日之前,我没有想过自己会一个人旅行,更没有想过会一个人到国外旅行。人生总是充满了意外和惊喜的,是意外还是惊喜,看你怎么看待罢了。总之,我,第一次,一个人,拖着行李去马来西亚流浪。一个人旅行,出国旅行,我的人生一下子少了两件遗憾。其实一个人旅行虽然没有想象中那么文艺,但也的确是件有很意思的事情,因为你不可能知道下一秒你会遇见谁发生什么。未知的东西永远有致命的吸引力,不是么?除了给自己拍照这个行为蛋疼了一点以外,其他的经历都是非常美好。Malaysia, so far,so good~我懂的,需要先放点预告勾引一下你们~我是一个不折不扣的路痴,拿着地图都会迷路的那种,方向永远找反。此前在做攻略的时候发现具体交通方式是大家攻略中最缺少的东西,所以本文我会特别介绍我来往各地的交通途径,造福后人了啊~Why Malaysia ?说来好笑,此前的3个月我几乎已经做好了成型的Vietnam和Thailand旅游攻略计划,但就在一个月前,因为CY童鞋一句“亚航现在促销飞马来很划诶”,于是我二话不说,买之!6.5-6.12 HK-KL往返 + KL-LKG往返含税,四张机票一共RMB1100。好吧,这么便宜不买的是笨蛋。但是问在于因为一张便宜的机票而选择目的地,随机性太强了。兰卡威、双子塔、穆斯林,我这个无知少女在去之前神马都不知道…赶紧做攻略…几经波折的出发。Why alone ?本来是我和CY童鞋两个人很happy的闺蜜旅行,但是,但是,还是那句话,人生总是充满了意外和惊喜。= =出发前2周,我那坑爹的政治期末考出了时间安排,6月12号早上,而我回程的机票偏偏就是6月12号的,尼玛!肿么都赶不及了,如果改也只能改到HK,实在不想在考试前夜再折腾了。于是姐姐我只好重新买了一张11号晚上KL直飞广州的机票! 虽说700多米也不算太贵,但姐姐我是无产阶级啊,我一个帮人干活还倒贴钱的苦逼研究生,实在太烧钱了…奉劝大家以后一定要避免不必要的开支,然后出发前做做好事攒攒人品。然而这不是高潮。出发前一周,CY突然跟我说她的毕业答辩很可能进二辩,那也就是6月8号。尼玛,我一听心都凉了。这样她就去不成了,难不成我要一个人去?我装作很淡定的说,没事的,你好好弄你的答辩,不会进二辩的。就在出发前2天,她跟我说她真的进二辩了,但还不确定二辩时间。然而这还不是高潮。尼玛…我无语了,真是好的不灵坏的灵。我说,你先过来吧(她在北京,我在广州,然后我们再一起去HK),来了再看看有没有解决的方法。CY到了广州,接到同学电话说他们二辩时间推后到了12号以后,我也就是说我们又可以一起出发了~但这也不是高潮。不然的话故事就太平淡无奇太缺乏趣味性了。我们一起屁颠屁颠的到了HK,在星光大道上看完海景准备转战机场。然后,高潮来了!!!就在我们出发之前3小时,她同学又打电话来说她们二辩确定了是8号。尼玛,我都想爆粗了!!!搞了半天玩我们是吧!!!总之,事情就是这样,我只好一个人上飞机,CY只好一个人回北京。你们不知道,我当时万分纠结的坐在HK的偌大机场里百感交集,心想这难道是God给我的sign要终止这次旅行么??但我偏偏是不信命的人,我要去,就算百般阻挠我也还是要去!!!Tips1、防晒。防晒是必须的。不止一个人说我回来不仅没晒黑反而变白了。坑爹啊,我以前是有多黑…总之防晒一定不能偷懒,我脸上用安耐晒,身上用水宝宝,一定要记得补。穿个防晒衣什么的还是有必要的,不然真的会晒到痛。晚上要好好补水,最好再敷一片面膜恢复一下。2、换汇。马来西亚很多地方都有ATM机可以用银联、visa取现,手续费也才RM1~2一笔,很方便。3、坐飞机和巴士的时候一定要带件有厚度的外套,不然很容易感冒。4、去之前最好熟悉一下要去的地方的英文写法和发音,不然问路都不知道怎么问。有个很简便的办法,就是拿本有图的地图指着说我要去这里怎么去。5、证件。建议大家把自己的护照随身带在身上,然后身份证放在朋友身上。这样的话一旦有人弄丢了包也还有东西可以证明自己身份。6、 去海边拍照一定要带擦镜纸,我每次从海边回来镜头就花的不成样子。7、如果是事先在网上订好了酒店,记得把酒店附近方位地图打印出来,这样给Taxi司机看的时候会比较明白,自己也会比较容易找到~正文前言写的有点太激动了…我需要收敛一下。接下来是让大家见证美好世界的时候了~先来说一些这几天下来对马来西亚的印象吧。首先,马来西亚人大多数都很nice,很多人都会说英文或者至少会听。在华人、马来人和印度人和谐共处的国家里,民众多少有与生俱来的包容心。马来人都是穆斯林,女子都要把自己裹得严严实实的,印度人和马来人其实看起来也挺像的,更异域风情一点,华人都会说中文。基本上他们都很纯朴和热心,你问什么都会很乐意的回答,整天都会把Thank you挂在嘴边。我在马来的这几天,基本每天都处于走几步就问问路的状态。在这一点上,马来西亚人民真的非常靠谱,他们给我指的路从来都是对的!木有人会因为不知道而乱忽悠你。然后,马来西亚是左车道,他们开车速度都很快,基本80以上,在非高速上也开得很快。据说马来西亚是世界上车祸发生率最高的国家,还好这点是我在吉隆坡的最后一个晚上才知道的,不然我的行程肯定被毁。= =马来西亚的空调开的太给力,特别是在公共交通工具上。在长途车和飞机上说需要带件毛衣外套都不夸张,我就是太低估这冷气了所以导致我几度差点感冒。马来西亚是美食的天堂,咖喱不是一般的好吃!咖啡和巧克力不是一般的便宜!但是水果的话我觉得除了榴莲没有比国内的便宜。基本上马来的食物都是比较重口味滴,他们吃饭烧肉一定要配上汁浇在饭上,通常还会几种汁啊酱啊的一起吃。对于我这个重口味爱辣的妹纸来说非常吸引~马来西亚的塑料袋质量非常好,不需要加钱买。但是他们的纸巾很劣质,很像草纸诶…马来人的英文真的是很难听得懂,基本上他们一句话要说3遍我才能猜出是在说什么。所以建议是,说重点词就行了,多了大家都无法理解。让我无比无奈和困惑的一点是,在马来西亚几乎所有人都以为我是Japanese,所有人都跟我说Kon'nichiwa。这是为神马为神马?我真的看起来那么日系么…这就算了,HK机场便利店的哥哥也以为我是日本人…= = 这点我一定要好好反思一下。Day 16.6KL-LGK没错,左边那位就是放我飞机的CY童鞋。咳咳,我是不会那么轻易放过你的~HK部分随便放几张片吧在HK机场check in之后,我就一直处于一种灵魂出窍的状态。想随便找个人问“你是不是去马来西亚的捎上我一起吧”的心都有了。(关于HK机场有一点要提醒一下,那里有两栋楼check in,但是出发全都是在1号楼,所以如果你是在2号楼check in的话还得回到1号楼登
青春一词,充满了活力、洋溢、动感,却又短暂而即逝。选择如何度过自己美好青春,似乎走出去才变得真实,变得触手可及。我想用我有限的青春抒写一段心灵的烙痕,让自己冥冥之中不再内心的孤单,也让自己觉得我不是路过人间!行走于高山,行走于草原,让我感觉我拥有了-我的无悔青春。说起狼塔的听闻,那是14年的10月在南太行的返程火车上驴友的闲侃得知狼塔的威名,当时想多么霸气十足的名字呀!同时也让我沉淀在了心间,回家经过在8264论坛了解,原来他久负盛名,对他是一种敬畏,又是一种景仰,似乎他存在一种不凡的魅力,驱使我走进去看看,打开自己的眼帘,亲身目睹他的容颜。经过几位驴友近10个月的精心研究与论证,终于决定了最终的形式方式,AA结伴。装备的购置调整,队伍体能的磨练,技术帖子的专研,也似乎成了我们近几个月的主要课程,头脑里似乎除了狼塔容不下其它了。几次碰头会的交流好多事情也在不断的变化着,从队员的退出到新人的加入,从3人组,变为2人组,从思维的波动到思想的肯定,一切充满了变数,这是一段难熬的阶段,也是期盼的过程,最终敲定了全部为男驴的8人本地队伍及8月4日进山时间。而剩下的一个月那就是体能拉链、队伍装备磨合了,是得是失是艰辛是快乐,一切归于自然。记录是一种回忆,当我老了是一种寻觅的味道,记录是一种说明,当我老了是一种茶余的调料,记录是一种祈盼,当我老了是一种回归的不老。本帖将详细的记录狼塔前后的故事,从技术装备到线路行程,为驴友提供一个可能你未知的狼塔生活。因为我更觉的走狼塔实质就是更真实的活着。本人全程采用iPhone 4S,800万像素进行拍摄2400+照片,20+段视频,质量本人还是认为不错的,也将陆续为坛友承上,至于未带单反以后道来。我记录着,我行走着,我思索着,心里莫名的感觉对于我来说—无户外不青春。 根据以往我发贴的习惯,我还是分几个章节篇章+视频,为大家阐述。 今天编辑帖子的时间正好是狼塔行程后一个月整,是驴友就都能体会登顶的喜悦,那我就按顺序先上传狼塔C+V九座达坂的登顶照片吧,也让我拉开记忆的篇章。一、白杨沟达坂(3862M)二、库勒阿特腾达坂(3555M)三、蒙特开增冰达坂(3960M) 四、喀拉尕依特达坂(3770M)五、乌兰达坂(3380M)六、夏热达坂(3150M) 七、乌拉布图达坂(4008M)八、天格尔达坂(3760M)九、乔楞格尔达坂(2500M) 当然也不能忘记让人心旷神怡的——绿湖(3500M)一、风雪中绿湖二、清晨的绿湖三、正午的绿湖 还有那让众多驴友即惧畏而又刺激的台河 一、拉链篇说起此次狼塔之行前,拉链体能磨合装备和队伍,真的必不可少,良好的体能,默契的队内气氛和互助精神都是从平时的拉链接触获得的,还有你新购置的装备也是需要你来驾驭的,我们知道其中的那一项出问,都可能会使全队进程出现危机,其实我更觉得把自己武装好,不成为队伍的负担,能为全队做出力所能及的事,变成我的初衷!而这需要多少汗水呢!加油! 多次演练,也是我们顺利度过台河的关键!野外拉链的闲余各种腐败是沟通情感的方式,又是衡量进狼塔所带食品多少的准。我们在不断的论证着...似乎在劳累汗水欢快中时间过的很快,最后一次拉链,也是订风险责任的时刻,也预示着我们即将出发了...再看看丰满东山家乡的360度美景,再看看汗水流淌的地方,我们择日再见。 二、装备篇我对户外各功能装备可算是研究了好长的时间,可以说是一种喜欢一种兴趣爱好,为此我个人的原则是尽自己最大的经济能力买好的产品宁缺毋滥。买一个就能真正的用到它,并且完全的利用好。我不是土豪但绝不对付自己,自此也花费了大量金钱和精力来满足,也算是为自己为全队尽了自己的责任吧!为什么这么说,因为你的装备好坏与否直接影响你的状态、行进、舒适、心里等等,那我就为大家着重的说下自己走狼塔的主要装备,为大家提供一些在技术装备上的疑问,谈谈自己对我所购装备的感受和理解,以便大家参考。1、一个好的背包注定是你成功的重要因素之一,在这里我没有吝啬,只想走的更舒服。所以我选择了始祖鸟Arcteryx Altra 75 LT Pack2015版户外登山双肩背包,价格3000+包含原版防雨罩L码,本人176M 背长53厘米,购买的RT码,完全驾驭。合理的R2背负重力转移系统,宽大的腰部包覆感,梨形的内部空间,让我全程无外挂,所带食品、装备共计55斤全部囊括其中,美中不足肩带过窄。不过可以承受,记得毕竟腰部力量是重要的保障。 2、一双好的登山鞋,对于驴友自不必多说,我的14新款SCARPA kailash GTX Boot大奖防水登山鞋,罗马尼亚产地。它伴我走过长白山6天重装,南太行6天半自助,狼塔C+V重装12天210公里的日日夜夜这足以证明它的耐用性,说些不足初期一年防水鞋可靠,后期防水型有所下降,脚尖外侧缝线由于长时间在乱石碎石中行走较易磨碎开线,V底波纹做工扎实耐磨,硬伤别再湿滑的石头、倒木上行走,极易摔跤。1000+的价格经济实惠。注意脚肥的人要买宽版的。 3、欧产LEKI Khumbu Aergon SpeedLock 外锁双快锁 登山杖500+一对。强调的是外锁铝制,可能在600克的重量上有所短板,但其可靠性值得推荐。毕竟户外、狼塔是多地形复杂的长距离穿越路线,没有信得过的品牌仗,一但出现问,你只能望山、望水兴叹了,因为你更需要的是过河,爬山,走乱石时的身体稳定与辅助,切记不能贪图便宜。当然了走狼塔仗尖儿的保护还是必须的。4、2013款 MSR Hubba Hubba 2 Person Tent 胡巴2 双人帐篷原装地布,三季帐,2000+的价格,对于你移动的家来说,是必须要投入的,她为你在穿行的路上,不仅仅提供了温暖,可能她的存在就像你在外工作一天回了家的感觉,她为你挡风遮雨,她为你提供了心灵的慰藉,所以我们更应该重视我们的移动家园。4斤的份量是个硬伤,而却宽敞明亮,足够你丢进去所有的东西...5、黑冰14新款G700 超轻鹅绒羽绒睡袋,也是狼塔最低限度的温睡袋了0度——零下10度。因为是8月进山,全程内穿薄抓绒一套睡觉舒适,本人感觉毫无压力,但是也不适合所有人,如果怕冷的人还是建议1000克以上的把握。888的价格国货也算过得去了。 6、Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite Foam蛋槽巢防潮垫,三季垫,方便实用利于收纳,全程背部无晾感,300左右的价格。也算经济实惠了。450克的重量值得推荐。 7、雪峰 Snow Peak600ML超轻单层钛杯,210元,实际称重85克,利用率很高,我在营地的使用范围,600ML的容量足以让我烧水,焖饭,煮牛奶麦片,熬汤了,当然是个人份了。缺点官方无杯盖。 8、Sea to Summit户外旅行超轻充气枕头,舒适,轻便,易收纳,防水,高低可根据吹入气体调整。195元。缺点价格偏高。 9、sea to summit户外折叠收纳超轻洗刷水盆便携野外储水盆10L。价格190元。储水方便,也是泡脚利器。净重49克。缺点利用率较低,进了狼塔我只用了一次而已。 10、PETZL 扁带环 ST'ANNEAU 120cm c07 新款,轻便,价格高。利用率低,但过台河必不可少。115元 11、Petzl Attache 3D Screw-Lock M38 Carabiner主锁,55克,利用率低,130元。过台河必须有。 12、LP782四弹簧升级版登山护膝一对240元,它的功能不必多说,你有再好的膝盖,也经不住狼塔极具下降的折磨,为了能继续走下去,强烈推荐双护膝。同时提醒大家护膝还是贴皮肤点是最正确的。也才能最大的起到保护膝盖的作用! 13、瑞典 正品SILVA 席尔瓦Metro Compass户外运动登山防摔指北指南针。75元的价格防水,防跌,小巧便于携带,精准,如果你对方向没有实足的把握,或无GPS,请你带上它。14、原装进口维氏瑞士军dao典范0.6223折叠水果刀58mm迷你小 dao,75元,小巧好携带,刀锋较快,很不错的。带牙,镊子。 15、15新款西班牙BUFF户外防蚊虫防晒魔术头巾108602纬度,价格199元,可以保证你头部,颈部热量。至于其它好多戴法及用法。16、sea to summit专业户外超薄防水收纳袋4L—2L,强度高,韧性大,很轻便。小东西都可以放在其中,极好的保证了易湿,怕水的装备。缺点价格高4L-60元。2L-40元 17、sea to summit户外专用配饰型小快挂钥匙扣套装3件套多功能挂扣,太小巧轻盈了,做工很好,一路上挂一些随行小装备还是有必要准备的。价格15元。([]
临出发前2天,零红蝶独自前往温宿破城子煤矿探了一趟路,回来后做出了反穿夏特古道的决定。当我们一行18人在乌鲁木齐南郊客运站乘坐开往阿克苏的大巴时,他还用炫耀的口气得意洋洋地说:我们要从南疆走到北疆!从荒漠走到美丽的草原!越走越美! 牛人就是牛人! 当我们经过一夜加半个上午的长途颠簸,终于站在托木尔峰缓冲带博孜墩边境管理区等候边检登记检查时,才突然想起从乌鲁木齐随车携带的气罐落在了客车上!此时我们与营运客车的距离已经近百公里。一阵忙乱联络安排,待再上路时,已经比预计的时间晚了约3个小时。至旧金矿破房子后,下车、分装气罐、整理背包,开始徒步上路。于漫天浮尘中约行进6、7公里,天色渐晚,择地扎营。 曾经看过王铁男先生的 《魂断夏特古道》,痛失好友的泣血经历使人对夏特充满恐惧,但是神秘的冰川又总是让人欲罢不能。 关于夏特古道: 夏特,清称沙图阿满台,位于昭苏西南部的汗腾格里山下,是伊犁至阿克苏的交通驿站。夏特古道北起伊犁昭苏夏塔牧场,南至阿克苏温宿破城子,沟通天山南北,全长120公里,是丝绸之路上最为险峻的一条沟通南北疆的著名古隘道。 夏特古道承载着太多太厚重的历史,有过太多太炫目的辉煌。2000年前秦汉的和亲公主从这里远托异国;1300年前唐玄奘从这里翻越3500米的哈达木孜达坂,到达天山南麓的龟兹佛国。上个世纪初期,芬兰的探险家马达汉,由阿克苏出发经夏特古道回国,1944年~1946年他担任了芬兰共和国总统。不知在成为总统后,马达汉是否曾经在梦里重走夏特··· 夏特,木扎尔特冰川携带着万古的悠远,散发着神秘的光芒。能在无边苍穹下的冰川上安身,绝对是上帝的独特恩宠。反穿夏特古道,我们将从破城子进山,夏塔牧场出山,从荒漠走向丰美的草原。 被遗弃是荒凉的。但是,荒凉,有时也是一种美;静默无言,或许是生命的另一种倾诉。每次长线重装的过程,恰如一次脱胎换骨。凤凰涅槃,浴火重生,须得一段痛苦煎熬!这,也是一种生命的倾诉! 次日晨9点准时拔营。行前晨会,领队告诉我们当日需要行进20公里,主要沿木扎尔特河主流,一路朔北而上。 因为头天的延误,今天一开始的步伐很赶。沙尘天气让行走很不舒服,每个人都不得不捂着。在隐约看到同行的另外的队伍背影后,零红蝶骄傲地吼着“我们要追上他们了,我们要超过他们.......” 我们的队伍比较整齐,强驴辈出,相形之下我只能算是弱者,果然不久就见了分晓。渐渐地,我的背负感到了沉重。在一次次爬坡之后,一种不好的感觉逐渐笼罩:先是眼睛发花看不清路,接着腿脚也开始有些不听使唤地乱拧起来,我落在了后面。调整、调整,我嘱咐着自己,但是却没有多大改观。我坚持着大口呼吸调整着,竭力不让自己拉得太远。就在这时,心脏的紧刺感袭来,疼痛、呕吐感、呼吸急促,以及眼前发黑同时出现了...... 我出状况了! 从未有过的恐惧和绝望...... 停下,咽下水和急备药丸,我继续调整着,瘫软却逐渐弥漫到了全身。我坚持着靠近了收队夏天,告诉他:我恐怕走不出去了。 夏天扶我斜靠在一处土坡上,喝水、喘息、调整,状况有所减轻。领队派来了不离不弃,背走了我的大包,前队也在高坡上倒伏的铁架处休息等着我。不能拖累队伍的决心让我在稍微缓解后要求继续前行,但是只走了百余米后,一阵恍惚,依稀望见夏天在我前面右侧,伸出手去抓住了他的胳膊,身体便滑落倒下去了...... 似乎就像睡了一觉,再醒来时看见我的周围:双鱼、三儿、好人、夏天等都在,当然,还有领队零红蝶! 零红蝶告诉了我他们的决定:让不离不弃陪着我下撤。 泪水、鼻涕,伴着发自心底的绝望不可收拾!难受的感觉,颤抖的身体,这样的干滩上如何下撤?对陪我下撤的人来说,风险岂不更大?自己做了长时间的准备,只为冰川之旅,下撤??? 泪奔中我拼命调整自己,告诉他们我能行,我能调整过来的!好像还流着泪请领队帮我实现自己的愿望,请求在前队休息的地方路餐休息后看状态再决定撤还是不撤...... 最后的结果是,在双鱼和三儿两人一左一右的架扶下,在夏天随后几步一歇的节奏控制下,我就像太后出巡一般地,一步步爬上了高坡,站在了山顶的铁架旁。休息、调整、慢行,我的状态逐渐在恢复...... 似这样熬到晚上8点左右,终于到了冰川下面的营地,骤雨来袭。不离不弃已经提前为我们扎好了帐篷,还送来了烧好的热牛奶。放倒在帐中,昏昏沉沉地睡去,我需要好好歇歇,备战明天更难更严峻的翻越达坂。 今天,没有后撤就是最大的成功! 3日早晨拔营后,一直处于万劫不复的冰川延伸带的爬升中。为了照顾我,之前领队安排好人背走了我的相机,飞翔、三儿、牧民大哥、双鱼等分走了我包中的食物。在夏天、好人、双鱼、不弃和三儿等协作的先后分别陪伴护佑下,我踏上了翻越冰川达坂之路。从上路开始便一直不停地走,告诫自己绝不能停,不能拖累大家...... 因为地质运动及气候等原因,夏特冰川在以令人惊异的速度退去。碎石、泥雪、石粉布满的前路,不久就令人崩溃!能够让人提起精神的,是连绵的冰川带给我们的惊喜。原来的古道多经地质变迁无法通行,能够找到古道遗存是非常不易的,多半都需要领队先行探路确认后才能通过。 继续...... 直到中午三点多,才在冰川上海拔2900多米处找到有水源的午间营地。坐下来休整,才觉得右腿膝盖下的疼痛,卷起裤腿,一处硬币大的伤口还在渗血,那是前面在行走时不慎踩翻了一处松动的石块造成的!得!祸不单行! 当天后半段的路途多是沿渐渐融化的冰川体斜切。穿行于冰川之中,万古岁月消融,冰川也在消融,时不时会传来冰川融化断裂的轰鸣巨响,令人胆寒。当晚,扎营在一处约5、6米高的冰壁前,营地海拔3200多米。 继续渡劫之旅...... 万古的冰川,也经不起岁月的流逝。在零零碎碎的时光中,无可奈何地沉寂、消融、坍塌、奔泻。一直以为自己很坚强,面对隆隆作化的冰川,却不得不正视残酷,与万古相比,我们的生命是那么的脆弱、那么的微不足道!莽莽天地间,我们究竟该如何安放自己的灵魂? 4日晨9:30时启程,再向上攀高300米海拔,到达木扎尔特冰川达坂顶部。木扎尔特达坂海拔3582米,也是南天山南北水系的分水岭,北为昭苏夏特河源头的冰川,南为阿克苏拜城木扎尔特河源头。木扎尔特达坂东西两侧均为海拔5000—5400米的山峰,常年银装素裹。站在这里,极目远眺,云天激荡,山势傲伟,冰川雄厚,那种壮阔之美,令你浑身的疲惫顷刻灰飞烟灭...... 夏特之精华,此刻尽在我们眼前!最难的路,我们已经走过来了! 下达坂的雪野中,积雪很厚很厚,很多地方都没过了大腿。领队在前面趟路,我们在后面随行,行路艰难。特别是几次涉过寒彻肌骨的冰水后,漫长的前路和刺骨的冰水几乎耗尽了我们的全部体能。“前方1.5公里是今天的营地”,领队说。但是这最后的1.5公里却走的太久、太难,也许是我们体能到了极限,也许是领队开路也累勺了以致预计有误,(我更愿意相信是后者,零红蝶真给累勺了!)过桥后,好不容易熬到了所谓的五星营地,所有人都不愿再动了。但是营地虽好,营地旁的一条小溪却干涸了!没有水源的营地怎么能是五星级营地?几个协作又不得不跑很远的地方取水...... 尽管不远处浑浊的冰川河水在咆哮着向下奔流...... 寒彻肌骨的冰水现在回想起来都如同噩梦...... 没有水源的营地怎么能称五星? 5日,我们穿行在雪莲峰护佑下的夏塔牧场。神秘而美丽的雪莲峰一直目送着我们,无数次回望,无数次感恩,无数次欢笑,似乎所有的艰辛与苦难都已经淡忘。但是,我知道,这一路,我真是来渡劫了!在过夏塔牧场中一条窄窄的小溪时,我又一次踩翻了石块...... 后记: 有一种缘分,叫上天注定;有一种相遇,叫神的安排。 去夏特之前,拜读过王铁男老师的《魂断夏特古道》,对夏特之险有所了解,对能让新疆户外前辈翻船的木扎尔特河心存敬畏。回来后才知道,我出状况不远处的河道,正是当年董务新前辈遇难的地方。那个有铁架的高坡上,正是董务新前辈的衣冠冢。当领队和协作们全部冲下坡去急救我时,队里的南山牧民大哥一直在围着那几个玛尼堆念念叨叨...... 这难道真是上天给我的安排...... 我:夏天,我可能走不出去了! 夏:不会的!记得博格达吗?跟着我,我会带你走出去的...... 这是我开始出状况时跟夏天的对话,我清醒的记着。当年的博格达,我正是踩着夏天的脚步,一步步登上了碎石达坂。但是眼下,我却走不动了! 我不知道后来当我抓着夏天的胳膊倒下去的时候,夏天的心情和举动。平素里夏天是个沉稳的人,好人说正是因为沉稳的夏天发出了“会急救的赶紧下来”的呼声,他们才觉得事情严重,四五个人迅速地赶到了我的身边...... 在路上我曾经想过,夏特之行也许是我最后一次行走了,也许这次就走不出去了。感谢上天垂爱,我不仅平安走出,还结识了一帮生死弟兄! 兄弟们,有你们,真棒! 艰难的路...... 万古冰川消融...... 美丽的雪莲峰目送着我们....... 丰腴的夏塔牧场包容着我们...... 平安夏特,我们感恩天与地!永志涅槃之旅......看到零队的夏特计划,咋又动心了呢?!([]
早已不记得上一次写游记是何时了,因为懒因为没有文字功底因为麻烦因为一切。。。这次出发之前就决定了无论如何要写,多年后以便翻看。我不会华丽的润色,只有直白的叙事,图片也是原图,未加修饰,所以各位就凑合着看吧。 一年里,假期,是我日夜期盼的日子。用一段短暂自由的时光进行一次异地或是异域的旅行,到陌生的环境去体验新的生活,经历更多以认识更好的自己。崔健在“假行僧”里说,“我要从南走到北,我还要从白走到黑,我要人们看到我但不知道我是谁”。今年继续西行,再次进藏,旨在阿里。阿里转山,说实话,我对自己很没把握,体力和意志早已被长期的城市生活消磨殆尽,可是我,想去。拜此次出行所赐,结识了一帮损友,茉莉和无泪费心做好了路书,我们明目张胆的享受,嘻嘻。。。初见时的拘束,离别时的拥抱和泪水,伴随着欢笑和喜悦,真实的风景真实的自己和他人,只有经历过才能成为回忆。远游异乡,一路上吃过糌粑,啃过羊肉,饮过酥油茶,穿过荒凉藏北,曾在冈仁波齐经历恶劣的气候,也曾触摸过古格历史的沧桑。八千里路云和月,我们一起看过美丽的风景,流连于每一个美妙的措畔,迷失在路上短暂的光阴里。旅行的美妙,不在于我们去到了哪些名胜古迹,而是能有一段飘泊的时间,随心所欲的到处走走,无所事事的发呆,或是在小巷子里迷路,看看当地居民为什么事而幸福快乐,让我们从一个自己呆腻了的地方,到一个别人呆腻了的地方,离开熟悉的环境去探索陌生的风景。西藏,是一个梦,我们既是逐梦人,也是造梦者。带着新鲜的记忆,且让我用普通的相机和笨拙的手法,粗糙但真实的记录下其中的一些片段,让朋友们透过我的眼睛看我看过的风景,也为了我忘却的纪念。 和伙伴们约好了7月12日拉萨出发,至于怎么到拉萨,大家就各显神通了,我早了几天到拉萨,混迹拉萨街头,因为之前就到过西藏,所以这几天过得格外颓废,不是在茶馆里喝甜茶,就是在书店里懒散的写下几张明信片或是早起跟着人潮涌动的转经队伍围着布达拉宫转动经筒,多少个晨昏,我坐在大昭寺门前的台阶上,看着那些虔诚的身影,聆听他们的身体和大地碰撞的声音 拉萨之于藏民来说就如同麦加之于伊斯兰教一样,是朝圣者们的终极目的地。拉萨那作为圣城的浓重的宗教气息,朝圣者们围着布达拉宫围着大昭寺转经,磕着数量惊人的长头,经年累月,寒暑往来,虔诚不改。大昭寺门前的青石板经无数人的匍匐,早已被磨得光滑。而那些来自青海云南四川的虔诚信徒们,他们带上家里的所有来到这里,穷尽毕生所有奉献给菩萨,以求得到来世的解脱和幸福。拉萨就是这么一座奇怪的城市,至今依然如此奇怪,世俗与神圣搅在一起,美丽与丑陋搅在一起,你只有无数的新奇与诧异,它有时会让你喘不过气来,有时又会让你屏住呼吸。 7月9日,西藏博物馆,如同内地的其他博物馆一样,馆内一样收藏了许多的石器和陶瓷制品,关于这些我就不再详加赘述,这里是西藏,我就捡些和西藏有关的说说好了。这颗金印是康熙五十二年时册封五世达赖罗桑益西为“臣额尔德尼”时所赐之金印。五世达赖对于当时的政局稳定起到了很大的作用,他坚持和睦团结,,人们都称他为“伟大的五世”。早在很久之前,藏传佛教就随着当时吐蕃的军事,政治的极大扩张而兴盛起来了,吐蕃的赞普让家中的长子出家为僧以示对佛教的尊崇,更让佛教徒参与政事,以至于之后西藏形成了政教合一的政治格局,这才有了六世达赖仓央嘉措的悲剧。那个被政治牺牲的年轻的生命和他那小心翼翼的无处安放的爱情。贝叶经,原产于印度,巴基斯坦,克什米尔等地,是用金汁或是银汁书写在一种叫作贝加罗树叶上的珍贵的佛教经典。由于战争,许多的经书都遭到了毁坏,而西藏由于兴佛而引进了很多的佛教经典,当然也包括了贝叶经,因此避过战乱而得以保存。所以现在是贝叶经保存最多的地方,贝叶经存于西藏的布达拉宫,博物馆和哲蚌寺。这个面具是跳藏戏时所佩戴的格萨尔王面具。<格萨尔王传>是一部藏族长篇英雄史诗,藏族的民间文学巨著。它讲述了格萨尔王一生为藏民降妖伏魔,除暴安良,南征北战,统一了各个部落,大到老人小到孩童多少都知道一些格萨尔王的故事,现在在那曲的一些茶馆里仍然还有着民间艺人们在唱着格萨尔史诗,每一个艺人们所知道的有关格萨尔的故事都不一样,每一个老人们也都有自己喜欢的说唱艺人。 唐卡,意为可移动的佛像,藏族人民对佛教的尊崇是我们无法想象的,由于早期游牧民族的特殊性,他们不可能守着一片草地从春吃到冬,当草场没草时他们就会拆下帐篷,赶着牛羊去寻找下一块水草丰美的住所,周而复始,这样就导致了他们不可能每到一个地方就建一座寺庙来崇拜,于是他们就把佛像画在了布上,这样当他们迁徙时就可以把佛像卷起来带走,这样无论走到哪里都不会影响藏民的礼佛。唐卡上的颜色来自于各种珍贵的宝石,蓝色的蓝松石,绿色的绿松石,黄色的黄金,白色的珍珠,也正是因为这些名贵的石头,再加上制作唐卡时的繁复与费时,所以唐卡的价格是昂贵的。画匠们将那些名贵的石头磨成细细的粉末,再加上牛胆等物质,按照一定的配比配制而成,永不褪色。通常唐卡的绘制,画匠们将画板的顶端牵一根绳悬挂于屋顶,自己则盘腿坐在低矮的凳子上,画板的下沿搁在自己盘起的双腿上,画底稿,一层一层的着色,勾线,最后点上佛的眼睛,画匠们说,最初师傅会自己亲自给佛像点上眼睛,只有当徒弟们的技法十分纯熟了,师傅才会放心让徒弟们独自完成最后的步骤。今晚记流水账。。。7月9日,10日,11日伙伴们的陆续抵达,我结束了独自游荡的日子,这几天我们在拉萨的街头厮混中彼此熟悉,从网络的想象到生活的真实。相约清晨去药王山拍布达拉宫的日出,清早的西藏寒冷异常,风呼呼的吹,到得太早,药王山的小门要到7点才开,我们几个徘徊在山脚下,找寻着避风的所在,徒劳无功。开门的人姗姗来迟,赶紧爬上去各自占据了有利地形,又在寒风中等待。。。唉,这个早上算是白来了,没有日出,只有寒风,冷。我放弃了,下到门口收钱的师傅的小房子里避风,门口的师傅很乐意我帮他看看大门,嘻嘻。。。半小时后,伙伴们也放弃了,找了一茶馆,吃一顿藏式的早餐,酥油茶加藏面,说实话,藏面真是有够难吃的,面条很粗,由于高原气压的缘故,面条很难被煮透煮软,咬起来有点硬,面汤倒是很不错呢,好喝。早餐之后,秋,无泪和我去布宫帮别的队友排队拿布达拉宫的预约券,上布达拉宫需要提前一天拿身份证到布宫的侧门领取预约券,第二天再凭着预约券上预约的时间到布宫参观。娃娃和开水则回去与球会合办理尼泊尔的证,各自行动。感谢无泪下午陪我去办理那麻烦的边防证日出前的布宫,漆黑一片,达赖不在,到底谁在里边住呢?住在这里该是多少喇嘛的愿望啊?好奇啊,实在是好奇难吃的藏面,好喝的面汤,还行的酥油茶今晚记流水账。。。7月9日,10日11日伙伴们陆续抵达,我结束独自游荡的日子,这几天我们在拉萨的街头厮混中彼此熟悉,从网络的想象到生活的真实。10日,相约去拍药王山的日出,清晨的西藏寒冷异常,风呼呼的吹,药王山的小门要到7点才开,到得太早,我们徘徊在山脚下,找寻避风的所在,徒劳无功。开门的人终于姗姗来迟,赶紧爬上去,各自占据有利地形,摆开架势,之后又是无尽的等待。唉,这天算是白来了,没有日出,只有寒风,冷。我放弃了,下到山下的买票小屋去避风,顺便再帮看门的师傅收收门票,嘻嘻。。。半小时后,伙伴们也放弃了,寻一茶馆,吃一顿藏式的早餐,酥油茶加藏面。说实话,那藏面真是有够难吃的,面条很粗,由于高原气压的缘故,面条很难被煮透煮软,咬起来有点硬硬的,面条不咋地,面汤倒还不错,好喝。早餐之后,秋,无泪和我去布宫排队帮队友拿布宫的预约券,上布宫需要提前一天拿身份证到布宫的侧门领取预约券,第二天再凭预约券到布宫购票参观。娃娃和开水则回去和球会合去办理尼泊尔的证,各自行动。感谢无泪下午陪我去办理边防证没有日出的日出前的布宫,漆黑一片。达赖不在,是谁住在里面呢?住在这里该是多少喇嘛的愿望啊?好奇啊,实在是好奇!!难吃的藏面,好喝的面汤,还行的酥油茶12日要开始阿里之行了,我是否该先把我们的线路报告一下呢?此次的线路是茉莉姐姐和无泪费尽心思做出来的,茉莉姐姐和无泪弄好一切琐碎,我们只管享受,(*^__^*) 嘻嘻…… 那我就先把路书贴出来好了,此次反走阿里,纳木错进,日喀则出,很特别呢DAY1:拉萨——纳木措——班戈DAY2:班戈——尼玛DAY3:尼玛——文布北村——文布南村DAY4:文布南村——措勤DAY5:措勤——帕江——仁多DAY6:仁多——亚热——普兰DAY7:普兰——塔钦,转山第一天DAY8:转山第二天DAY9:塔钦——扎达DAY10:扎达——仲巴——萨嘎DAY11:萨嘎——吉隆DAY12:吉隆——老定日DAY13:老定日——珠峰DAY14:珠峰——日喀则DAY15:日喀则——拉萨第二天我们本来定的是到文布南村的,后来因为我们在辽阔的草原里迷路了,天色又太晚,我们只好又返回到中午路过的县城尼玛,双湖的行程也因路况不妙而遗憾的放弃了。西行阿里,走在朝圣的路上,不安,兴奋与紧张,许多的地方仍是无人区,既无公路也无食宿,人类的足迹尚未踏足这片土地。那是生命的禁区,它拒绝了人类生命的呈现。可是,野生动物却是阿里草原上最为自由的精灵,它们肆意的奔跑在草原上,与风与云与草做伴。阿里恶劣的气候,清贫的生活,却因信仰的强大力量而丰富,人们虔诚的转山,令人动容。当然还有那一路上的各种措,纳木措,色林措,扎日南木措,当惹雍错,玛旁雍错。。。都是阿里的措,我们只能一措再措,将措就措。阿里的山,阿里的云,阿里的风,阿里的阿里,就让山林原野收留我们的梦想,带我们去远方。7月12日出发喽!一行11人,3辆车。在去往班戈的路上,路过一个小村子,当地的村民正在过一个叫”望果节“的节日,据我们的藏族师傅说,这个节日没有固定的日子,是根据青稞的成熟时间来定的,在青稞成熟之前,人们用这种方式以祈求粮食的丰收。纳木措是我们遇到的第一个措,兴奋自是无需言表。纳木措与羊卓雍错,玛旁雍错并称为西藏的三大圣湖。纳木措湖面海拨4800米,湖水清澈,它的形成和发育受地质构造控制,是经由喜马拉雅凹陷而成,现今湖水仍在不断的退缩,至今湖周围留有曾经的古湖岸线。下车就是一通狂拍,快门咔咔的响。因为反走阿里,我们来到的不是通常游客去的那一片湖畔,那里满满的全是游人,人头攒动,满满的全是商业。这一片湖畔,除了我们,没有别人。大家在湖边拗着各种造型,跳跃的,武打的,文艺的。。。总之就是怎么疯狂怎么来 自拍是必须滴,拗造型也是要滴 7月13日,班戈——尼玛 今天我们真正的进入藏北草原,都知道阿里的野生动物多,可真正看到时还是难掩激动!在电视上书籍上听到很多关于藏羚羊的话语,可那都很遥远,初见在原野上悠闲吃草的藏羚羊,哇!那个激动啊!嘴里叫着“师傅师傅,快停车快停车!”一边急急的摇下车窗,拿起相机就拍,可那精灵也实在警觉,我们还在远远的,它就已经被吓跑了藏北高原,荒无人烟,平均海拔都在5000以上,严酷的环境,恶劣的气候,是人类生命的禁区,却是野生动物们的天堂。因为这些可爱的生灵,阿里不是寂静无声的荒原,它充满了生命的律动。曾见识过新疆大地无边无尽的荒野戈壁,那个无助让人绝望,满眼尽是黄色的沙,没有水没有草,天上没有飞鸟,地上没有走兽,怎么远望,看到的都和脚下的一样,茫茫一片。与新疆的茫茫戈壁不同,阿里的天地是那样的宽广,生命是那样的鲜活。藏野驴,藏羚羊,野牦牛,旱獭,野兔。。。在无尽的草原,艰难的生存者,每一个渺小的生命都充满了生的渴望。这也许就是阿里的美之所在吧! 有一个措,是色林措吗?还是措愕??不知道,就连我们的藏族师傅都吃不准,不管了,反正是阿里的措 往阿里没有路,因为处处都是路,只要你愿意,车怎么开都行。所谓的路,不过是车轮在石头上压出的印痕而已。一路上,这样的情景不断的被重复,仿佛你真的在天堂,又似乎踏上了火星远处倾盆大雨,我们这儿却是阳光普照 措措措,今天的第二个措,唉,还是不知道名字 午餐喽,阿里,别说是餐厅了,能看到人就不错了,通常我们在茫茫草原上走一天都看不到人,这为我们接下来的迷路带来了大麻烦。出发之前,超市的大采购,就是我们每天的午餐厨房,要什么有什么,要什么没什么;P 没有餐厅,满草原随便坐,包场用餐。席地而坐,胡乱的吃,开心的说笑,糌粑配咸菜也一样美味 荒凉,只有云团在飞 白天方便来方便去,晚上我们可就不方便喽。完蛋了,迷路啦!!!!!原定今天的目的地是要到达文布南村的,120公里的路程,出发之前,师傅说4,5个小时能到了。到了天黑,居然还没看到哪怕一点点的村庄的影子。要知道,西藏的天可是要到晚上10点才会黑呢!不得不承认,我们迷路了,这回真的成了原野上的藏野驴了,迷失在旷野里。藏北高原,荒无人烟,由于没有路,也最易迷失方向,无边无际的无人区,若是走不出去,危险是显然的。想问路,对不起,不行。在这里,即便是你懂十种语言也无济于事,根本就没人让你问,城市里万能的手机也早就在进入草原后变成了一堆废铁。虽然我们带着食物和睡袋,可阿里夜晚的危险和寒冷是我们无法想象的。通过和师傅们协商,我们决定回到中午路过的一个叫尼玛的小县城。 夕阳下坠到了地平线之下,大地即将沉入黑暗,而我们还将被这片黑暗包围。天空上演着晚霞变幻莫测的剧目,时间因这昼夜的交替,每一秒都让人感动 远处的地平线下,放射出一片神秘的光,让人百思不得其解,阿里之美,只这一刻,足以打动。([]
自从喜欢上旅行和行摄之后,清明小长假外出已成习惯。一年之际在于春,在这春暖花开之时,岂有窝家之理?今年的清明小长假选择了独行泰州,一来是去欣赏泰州那独有的垛田油菜花,二来是想去看看溱潼古镇,而这第三个要造访的泰州市区则是我的出生地,50多年了,这次回访泰州,只想找一找那童年曾有的一丝丝回忆。 4月4日晚,备好了行装,清明踏青行游准备启程。 晚10点,到火车站候车室候车。 此趟列车有点不靠谱,连续延长了三次晚点时间,直到近凌晨1点才检票上车。 4月5日早晨630,列车到达泰州站。泰州,我来了!自从在泰州出生后,5岁时曾随母亲回来过一次,这次再回泰州,已经时隔了50年。 出了火车站,我直接到长途车站买去兴化的车票。715,乘坐泰州—兴化的班车前往兴化。 车到兴化后,我没顾上歇息,赶紧到在网上预订的宾馆放行李,这次来兴化就为垛田油菜花而来,但考虑到缸顾镇油菜花景区游人太多,经宾馆老板娘推荐,乘坐10路公交去垛田镇高荡村。当公交驶至垛田镇的北腰村时,我已经被这里的景色吸引住了,中途喊公交司机停了车,我便开始了此行第一个景点的游览。 兴化的垛田油菜花景区现在兴化市缸顾镇,但垛田油菜花是起源于垛田镇,不然这垛田镇的名字由何而来呢?据当地村民讲,当初开发垛田油菜花景区时是想选在垛田镇的,是镇政府因某种原因没能争取到这个项目,最后由缸顾镇把项目拿了去。现在缸顾镇将垛田油菜花项目搞的风风火火、轰轰烈烈,而垛田镇却备受冷落,无人问津。而对于我这个游人而言,这受冷落的垛田镇却是我喜欢的地方,没有挤挤轧轧的人群,一个人在乡间清清静静的游,好不惬意哦。下了公交车,我站在路边就迫不及待的拿出了相机开始咔嚓了。兴化境内共保存垛田4.8万亩,其中垛田镇境内2.4万亩,是兴化垛田保存最好最为集中的地区。在这里,无数块垛田漂浮在水面上,形态各异,大小不等,大的两三亩,小的只有几分、几厘,垛与垛之间互不相连,四面环水,人称“千岛之乡”。 下车时并不知道这个村叫什么名字,只是看到这里风景无限就匆匆的下了车,问过村民才知道,这里叫北腰村。看这村名好像很老土,也不知这名因何而起,但现在村子的景象却让我感到意外,这哪里是个村子啊,分明就是一个度假别墅区嘛。只是别墅区的周边不是绿草坪而是金灿灿黄色的油菜花! 如果村子里偶尔有那么一座两座别墅我也就不觉得稀奇了,可在这里,几乎家家都是这样的房子,这让我这个来自江苏省最贫困地区的人可是大开了眼界。这样的居住条件可与我心中的农村相去甚远了。多年来面朝黄土背朝天的农民现在居然住上了这样的房子,看到农村这样的景象,真是让我感到非常的欣喜。 在北腰村口呆了一会,不甘心在村口这么溜达,干脆沿着村后的道路往田间走去。。。开始了一个人在垛田镇的“黄花之驴”。 喜欢上行摄的这些年来,每年春季油菜花开的日子,都是去皖南、婺源踏春行游,那里的乡村景致是黄色的菜花衬上白墙黛瓦的田园风景,而今年来泰州,其乡村景色则有了大不同,这样的乡村田园风景是我来之前完全没有想象到的。 白墙黛瓦是徽派风格,而这里是不是就该命名为“泰派风格”呢? 而垛田油菜又是泰州兴化的特色,这样的景色也就是泰州独有的了。兴化垛田,历史上是由古泻湖逐渐淤积而成的湖荡沼泽地带,在上游来水的冲击、下游海潮的顶托下形成了一个个大小不等、形态各异、高低错落的水中土丘。先民们为了抵御洪水,垒土成垛,垛上耕种,形成了垛田。到1986年,兴化境内共保存垛田4.8万亩,其中垛田镇境内2.4万亩,是兴化垛田保存最好最为集中的地区,无数块垛田漂浮在水面上,形态各异,大小不等,大的两三亩,小的只有几分、几厘,垛与垛之间互不相连,四面环水,人称“千岛之乡”。 人们进入垛田,无舟不行。垛田土体较厚,非常适宜于种植瓜果蔬菜。早在明代,垛田镇境内就有“两厢瓜圃”、“十里菱塘”两个景观列入了兴化地区的“昭阳十二景”中。20世纪50年代,垛田的油菜产量曾创全国之冠。 兴化垛田是千百年来世世代代垛田人于湖荡沼泽荒滩之上手挖肩挑堆垒而成,是垛田人的智慧结晶。兴化垛田作为一种独特的文化景观全国罕见,不仅具有审美价值,更具有重要的历史与科学价值。几年前就想着来兴化看垛田油菜花,一直没能成行,这次独行兴化,还真没让我失望。([

There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. The following day I found a vehicle heading to Jieshan Daban.The sand storm over Yarlung Zangbo RiverA lonely peach tree blossoming in Yarlung Zangbo Grand CanyonNatural hot spring in wild, me singing and drinking (photo by a friend of mine) Day 1(April 20), 16km, Camping 5192mIt was a truck with a full load of iron wastes, arriving in Jieshan Daban at 6'o clock in the morning. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. Orchid-like weedsSmall springs everywhere, clear and chillyA thin layer of ice covering the fresh spring water The sheep cote, it was the door under the sleeping bag, which was in the same place as last year, everything looked like yesterdayThe wetland at duskLungmu Co at dusk. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Continue to melt the ice under the morning sunshine, all of the sheep poo had been removed carefullyCamping site, the little hill over there was the place where I got the ice last nightThe house by the Luxing Hu, empty, the last permanent building I saw throughout my journeyDay 5 (April 24), 19.8km, Camping 4951mSet off at 10.30 in the morning, the weather was similar to yesterday. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. I set up the tent comfortably because I knew that I was safe having such a sweet spring beside me.Triangulation station erected by scientists from the joint research team on Chang Tang of three military regiments in 1971[size=+0]The gap between water and ice in Bungdag Co, I guessed there must be some springs under the lakeThe storm just above the ground, a chaotic darkness[size=+0]Icy Bungdag Co,one of the four biggest lakes in Northern Tibet, wild ducks flying over this vastness and lonenessSnowing at any time, should not happen so frequently like this in this seasonDay 6 (April 25), 4.3km, Camping 5002mWeathering landforms everywhere around this area. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. The mixture of green and amber colour showed the sand and mud carried by the melted iceThick layer of ice, sunken surface caused by strong gustsThe south course of the Yinshui He, countless small streams. To the right was the wetlandLooking for ways in the east, a trace of pasturing and the cairn made from spongy volcanic rocksMy camp, opposite to the hillDay 7 (April 26), 11km, Camping 5009mI moved forward to the direction I found yesterday, turning around the wetland and walking toward east. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. There are many ways in one's life too, you can only take it once and you will no long have the courage to repeat it.I pushed the bike crossing the river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... I liked such a colorful and peaceful Chang Tang and very much enjoyed my camp and myself bathed in such beautiful colour.The ice like this was very thin and suspended, far away from the main stemHard surface with half-melted underneath, the soft sand at the botton was most scaryThe ice like this could easily jam the wheels, hard to get it outI had to unload the panniersChaotic water and terrible hails turned up in no timeThe Chang Tang at the moment liked it used to be,a mixture of cold and warm tones under the golden setting sun Day 8 (April 27), 14.6km, Camping 5112mLast night, I forgot to bring in the odometer, which was out of order due to the coldness in midnight. Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. This was just because I found there was a little bit of extra space when I was in Nagri packing the stuff for this journey so that I bought two packs of cereals. It tasted disgusting, probably there was too much alkali in the water. I threw away half of it. Later I realised that probably I subconsciously felt that the provisions was so heavy. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Therefore, the then government called on people to cull back the population of the wolves in Chang Tang, which resulted in the current situation directly. The last official record about wolves attacking humans was around 1970s, which happened in Bamaoqiongzong. A team of secientists was surrounded by a group of wolves and they had to shoot them using guns. Of course, at present in Chang Tang, wolves are absolutely lonely.In this traverse, the first time I encountered a pair of wolves, one of them staying in front of me pretending to attack me while the other staying behind me. This is the standard attacking strategy of wolves. First, you should not be nervous which can be easily detected by the predators. Second, you should not retreat even an inch because this means you are the prey rather than the predator. Do not make any large movement, of course you could take a picture if you feel safe to do so. You must look into its eyes for a few minutes or even half an hour. When the wolves can not work out who you are and consider you are not posing any danger to them, then they will leave. You should remember that wolves in this land do not lack of food and it is much easy for them to catch a pika than a human. Even if being hungry, they would evaluate how easy to get you done, What you need to do is to show them that you are not interested in them and you are not afraid of them at all, let alone to show your ID card to them. As for the wolves family, really, I have not heard for ages. If you really have an encounter with them and they have no other choice, then it definitely depends on your forture. In fact, for so many year, it has been very rare to happen that wolves kill human. But the rumours are still there, in particular, the road connecting Xinjiang and Tibet.The nearest encounter with a wolf throughout my journey, no conflict at all[Brown Bears]Brown bears are real dangerous animals to human. Every year there are some accidents happened in some regions of Xinjiang on the north side of Kunkun Mountains and steppes in Northern Tibet. More than that the bears could attack your house, smash your windows, and eat your sheep. Therefore, in Northern Tibet some local councils give subsidies to the pastorarists for compensating the losses due to the bears because they are not allow to fight back and kill the bears except their lives are in great danger. Once there was a nomad taught me a method to protect yourself from bears. He told me to pick up a stick to feed the bear and the bear thinks the stick is your hand which tastes disgusting. So the bear would leave. It was so funny but the reality is to find a stick in this vast wilderness is just like you win the lottery.Bears are omonivorous animal who are generally not interested in human flesh. You can find that in most of accidents, the bears did not eat any of the human flesh rather they just smashed them for kind of fun that we could not understand. For the reason why bears kill human, one explanation is the conflict between human and wildlife in this extreme ecological environment. The nomads invade the habitats of the bears, which results in these conflicts. On the other hand, it might be because bears have quite high IQ so that they think it is much easy to kill a sheep in the cote rather than to kill a pika in the wild.I have met bears five times in my traverse, in two cases we were very close to each other. I had even walked with one of them for quite a while, just like we had a date for a walk. The fact is it is not that terrible like you might imagine. The same rules for dealing with wolves apply to bears. Never provoke dangerous animals. A bear can run at a speed of 40km/h, do you think you can compete this in a highland 5,000m above sea level?However, there is a situation where it is really dangerous, that is the encounter. It is not easy to control your instinctive reaction to the external dangers. Last year once I turned around a hill, there was a bear just in front of me. The bear of course was frightened by me with its front legs holding up, waving in the air and roaring. At that time I sat on the ground, ignoring it. The bear then left in a few minutes. I will no longer talk about it.This was the funniest encounter with a solitary wild yak, who did not warn me. If I sat down, it sat down too. If I moved forward, it stopped. Could not imagine what it was thinking about.[Crows]Crows are dangerous only when you fall unconscious in the wilderness. Of course they will be the first to taste your flesh in that case. Unlike their cousinsliving in urban areas, the crows in Chang Tang have a larger body like eagles. When they fly over your head, you could feel like it is a piece of cloud. They are scavengers but like fresh meat too. It once happened that a baby was killed by crows relentlessly, let alone the lambs got killed by them. Once a nomad asked me for fireworks to scare the crows away. (They are sacred birds not to be killed by human)It is easy to defend yourself against crows, that is to keep fighting, never fall in the wilderness.A short break attracted the crows. Of course, they were miscalculating this time, photo taken last year[Strategies Adopted]At the time when I met the four soldiers in Jieshan Daban, they said there were many dangerous animals in the Northern Tibet and asked me if I had brought a shotgun. I think if they knew that I would enter Chang Tang they would definitely check if I really have a shotgun. The so-called defence facilities I brought with me were the fireworks and pepper spray. I had never used them. The fireworks were ruined and thrown away when I crossed a river and I had never opened the pepper spray. I even had never thought about this when camping in the night. The reason was I did not feel the needs. During the day time whenever I met any animals I had never touched the knife I had brought. I did not have anything to defend myself when I walked out to investigate the route. The Chang Tang is really a vast area so as to be very easy to detect anything strange.By the way, you'd better to avoid mating season's animals because even tamed rabbits could be aggressive in mating season.The thing is even if you have a gun, it is not very much helpful when bears attack you. Therefore, your attitude is most important.I can tell you something. Dogs are more dangerous than these wild animals. I had been chased by Tibetan dogs, pounced on by dogs in mating season, also besieged by a group of dogs. I really feel it is more useful to know how to defend a dog.Declaration again The above experience is from Chang Tang only. Of course, the more you prepared, the better. Day 12 (May 1), 23.8km, Camping 5117mToday was May 1 -- the Labour Day, I had been walking in some lake area marked in the map but clearly dried up. The lake basin was flat and hard so that I even pushed my bike more than 20km. Let it be the special treat for my May Day. After midday it became cloudy with growing winds. Since the Yueya Hu that I passed yesterday, there were no big lakes until Yanghu Co (My route would be between Jianshui Hu and Bairab Co), there was even no light alkaline water to drink so I had to pay extra attention not to miss any possible drinking water supply to fill up my water bag. There were a few very small lakes but all were alkaline puddles which was very shallow, whose depth was no more than the length of a half-finger. These puddles were covered with a hard shell of the mixture of salt and ice which smelled stinking and decaying when getting closer, must be toxic water I supposed. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. The flat ancient lake basin, assisting me walking more than 20kmSmall lake en route, toxic waterSnow corns, the only drinking water supply today Day 13 (May 2), 0km, Camping 5117mWaking up in the morning and opening the tent, the heavy snow outside must be sent by the God to force me have a break for the May Day. After lying in for a while, getting up and walking on the snowy ground out I went to have a look around. As first sight there were a herd of chirus. They were plainly to be spotted because they looked like a clear black straight line in the while snow. I returned to get my camera and then followed them to take some pictures. But they were very much alert and kept a quite long distance from me. I felt they were a group of pregnant females, instinctively protecting themselves from any potential harm. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
