十五天游历了欧洲大小十国。荷兰—— 比利时—— 法国—— 卢森堡—— 德国—— 瑞士—— 列支敦士登—— 奥地利—— 意大利—— 梵蒂冈。哈哈,我自己都感到迷惑,十个国家十四个城市。阿姆斯特丹、布鲁塞尔、巴黎、卢森堡、法兰克福、(海德堡)、琉森、列支敦士登、慕尼黑、菌斯布鲁克、威尼斯、罗马、梵蒂冈、佛罗伦萨、米兰。走马观花,浮光掠影,除了三飞,汽车行程四千多公里。城市的繁荣我无动于衷,悠久历史留下的艺术作品,人文景观让人震撼。但对我来讲,收获最大的还是这四千多公里,让我饱尝眼福,见识了欧洲超美丽的自然风光。还是那句话,风景在路上。原以为,只有高原才有的兰天白云,在欧洲天天见到。在川藏南线左贡到芒康的“卡均”,草甸、牧场、森林,美不胜收,殊不知这种风光在瑞士沿途尽是,好几天都车行在无限的美景中。这次旅行我最大的收益是这4000多平里。虽然同车40人都在行走,可认真关注窗外的人只有我。大巴车一路奔驰,再好的风景也不会停车。加之团员们上车就关好窗帘睡觉,我睁大眼睛也无法看到前面,风景一闪而过,非常遗憾,错失了很多美景。本来摄影技术有限;加上密封窗,头手伸不出去;到景点时间非常有限;挤在人缝中拍照;像机不专业,没有三角架;这次照片质量不好,许多都歪歪斜斜,删掉了1/3的照片,心痛啊,不可复制。看过哈总欧洲的照片,差别太大了。作为辛勤劳动的回报,还是想与大家分享,鼓起勇气,发贴,谢谢大家浏览。 十五天走了太多的地方,脑子里很混乱,几千张照片还需分门别类,慢慢上贴。也许地点与照片不符,请指正,谢谢。(上图为巴黎艾菲尔铁塔,下图为瑞士琉森的廓桥) 阿姆斯特丹 —— 美好与罪恶并存的城市 阿姆斯特丹,荷兰的首都,荷兰最大的城市和第二大港口,人口约71万,阿姆斯特丹是座水城,河网交错,河道纵横,被称作为“北方威尼斯”。提起阿姆斯特丹,就想到了:风车、乳酪、钻石、木鞋、喜力啤酒、郁金香、雏菊花海,春天里的阿姆斯特丹更是花的海洋。阿姆斯特丹的早晨 这里街道很干净,人、车很很少。在欧洲都是有轨电车,人们都骑自行车,市内停放自行车的地方很特别。 停放自行车的"高架桥" 街景 环绕阿姆斯特丹的运河 兰色、红色、绿色的各式小楼房,可爱极了。这里曾有个古老奇怪的法律,门越大交税越多。所以阿姆斯特丹住房的门都很小,而窗很大,家具都是从窗口吊运进去的。所有的楼房顶部都有数个伸出的铁钩子,以固定吊运物品所用的绳索。 正当我们在鲜花盛开的房前拍照,窗口出现了一位老人,慈眉善目的向我们招手微笑,还与我们合照。 正当欧洲杯,到处挂满了足球、花环、小旗,十分热闹。 刚进入阿姆斯特丹,我非常喜欢这个古老、宁静、花团锦簇的城市,可到了红灯区,听到看到后,感觉十分厌恶。这是个美好与罪恶并存的地方,糜艳奔放的红灯区丹拉克大街,橱窗女郎,性博物馆,把性、性交赤裸裸的表现出来了,让人毛骨悚然。在荷兰,榜“自由开放”的法律,使得“合法的性交易”、“合法的大麻贩卖”得到保障,它也是世界上第一个使同性恋婚姻合法化的国家。在这里,可以公开吸大麻 ; 妓女有营业执照、执证上岗;可以光明正大的嫖娼。 性博物馆我们没有参观,丹拉克大街也是清早去的,让女人亲眼目睹那些……,会有些难堪,也许对男人更有诱惑力。这里的红灯区在欧洲是最著名的,比泰国的红灯区“极别高”,许多男人专门为此到阿姆斯特丹。(网络也许不让上这些照片,上一张组照吧) 谢谢所有关注及留言的朋友们。发贴时还忐忑不安,摄影水平太低,与哈总的照片相比差距太大了。你们给了我信心,"本色出演" 哈,我也再返走一趟欧洲。4000多公里,路景太美了。我每天睁大眼睛,贪婪地注视着窗外,拍下这些照片,质量不太好,但是真实的欧洲自然风光。不好意思,拙品。因为旅行,工作积累太多,照片也多,只有慢慢上,请原谅。 在距阿姆斯特丹10公里的桑斯安斯风车村,是个美丽宁静的乡村。保留了三座木制风车,还有十几座荷兰风格的木建筑。当和煦的春风吹动着屹立了几百年的风车时,我想起了“堂吉诃德”手持长矛与风车的博斗。可别小看这个美丽而宁静的小乡村,彼得大帝曾经在这里学习过造船,拿破仑也曾赞美过这里的美景。当然,也是旅游团必到之地。 小树被立型成了这样 荷兰造型朴拙的木鞋,世界闻名。木鞋起源于数百年前,由于荷兰低地雨水多,户外工作的人们都会穿上木鞋,既可保暖又可保持干爽。五光十色的各式木鞋挂满了商店,旅游的人都会买些各式木鞋装饰品作为礼物送人。这是从古到今的朩鞋,刚开始没有颜色现今五光十色的各式木鞋 每个进入风车村的人,都会被拍照。打印后放在门口,10欧拿走。 网络资料 沃伦丹也称福伦丹,离阿姆斯特丹约20公里的车程,是艾瑟湖边一个小渔村。从前,当艾瑟湖还是个海湾的时候,这里的人们都是以打鱼为生。后来荷兰人为抵挡洪水,在北面建起了拦海大堤,海湾也变成了现在的艾瑟湖。打鱼的人渐渐少了,蜂拥而至的游人使这里成为荷兰北部的一个旅游镇,它也是到阿姆斯特丹旅客顺道游的必经之地。称它为奇迹小镇是因为,沃伦丹是围海造出来的小镇。这里风光秀丽,湖水宁谧,阿姆斯特丹人周末会来度假,也有很多城里人到这里买房子。 ([]

引子:穿越狼塔线的最佳季节又到了,狼塔线(新疆户外更喜欢称其为“狼C线",主要是为了区别于狼塔a线、狼塔b线两条相对较简单的线路的缘故吧)以其神秘的传说、绝美的风光和三高(高危险、高强度、高海拔)而蜚声全国户外界,被越来越多的驴友所追捧。由于穿越狼塔的难度已经远远超过著名的夏特古道,所以每年能有机会走狼塔线的驴友也是少之又少。 这篇穿越狼c的日志,是2009年国庆节长假穿越狼c回来所作。由于新疆断网近一年,故还没有机会公开发表。我们这次穿越后,至今并没有其他的队伍再走狼c。文中所称的狼c既是狼塔线。希望这篇日志对你了解狼塔,穿越狼塔有所帮助。 先上一张穿越狼塔的照片,这是在翻越3960米的蒙特开增大阪途中狼塔三险之一----空中栈道美 女 与 狼 c2009版狼塔c线穿越攻略简介--- D3日:10月2日,晴天 早9:00拔营。从马鞍山营地下降200米,来到一不知名的小河沟。 这时,走在前面的“石头”和“飞翔”高兴地大呼小叫! 原来,他们在沟底下,捡到了昨天被大风吹走遮阳帽和背包罩 再往前走,经过一段约30米高,坡度达50度小陡坡,就来到一条较大的小河边。 河水很清,沿河谷顺流向前走几十米,跨过一座简易木桥,再爬过一块档在前面的大石头,传说中的狼塔C线空中栈道就已经开始了。 今天的大部分路段,将不停地在木桥—河道—空中栈道—马道之间来回穿梭切换。在狼c,这样的简易木桥对我们来说简直就是南京长江大桥呀在五、六十米高的断崖上开凿出来空中栈道,即让人兴奋刺激,更让人紧张害怕! 换个角度,再来看看这段栈道 栈道之间是马道连接。 可是,近三分一的马道都是四十五度以上的陡坡,需要手脚并用攀爬。爬得那个累呀! 更别说部分让人心惊肉跳的斜切路段了! 稍有不慎,就会“驴”失前蹄,抱憾终身的。(我们就是沿右手方向横切到下面的台普西克玛河谷,这段横切坡度在45度以上,局部达到50度以上,需要格外小心) 大家格外小心地穿过三段不太长的空中栈道,再爬上一个近百米的四十五度陡坡,然后斜切一个坡度四十五度长约四、五百米的碎石坡,就来到狼C路上著名的台普希克玛河谷。 中午12:30到达台普希克玛河谷。 简单午餐后,于1:30分出发,沿河谷一路上行。 反复在简易木桥间跳跃,有几处干脆就是独木一根。 队员们行走在独木桥上,练就着平衡木的功夫!到最后,连独木桥也没有了,还是换鞋淌水过河吧 在这段路上,我们还捡到了2008年狼c队伍里一位队员被河水冲走的包。 事故地点在老虎口,后文中还将提到。 相机、头灯等还在,只是已经无法使用。 台普希克玛河,是发源于狼塔的呼图壁河一条主要支流。该地的河谷狭窄,河水湍急。 传说中的狼C空中栈道,绝大部分都分布这段河谷里。 河谷两侧的山体极为陡峭,人工开凿出来的狭窄的空中栈道,在垂直的峭壁上盘旋而上,通过时让人心惊肉跳。空中栈道时而通向山梁,时而进入谷底,走在上面其实就是沿空中栈道在翻山越岭,体力消耗巨大。 河谷里植被丰富,次生林密集。虽然错过了最美的季节,但是,此时河谷丰富的植被,亦然色彩斑斓,红、黄、绿相间。谷底的台普希克玛河水清澈透亮,印衬出一副美轮美奂的河谷风光! 相信9月中旬来这里的山友应该可以欣赏到更美的台普希克玛河谷景色! 美丽的台普希克玛河谷风光 秀美的景色总是能让人格外的激动,有时还情不自禁会做出一些出格的事情。“高疯子”就是其中一个,经不住清澈透明的河水和两岸油画般的色彩的引诱,这位冬泳健将竟然出人意料地迅速把自己扒光,在温度只有七、八度冰河水里,来了个天体冷水浴!(照片未经本人同意请勿外传O(∩_∩)O哈哈~) 吓地两位女队友“石头”和“eleven”赶紧躲得远远的,烧水做饭去了. 中午3:30分,我们来到了空中栈道上很出名的那段栈道。说它出名,是因为这段栈道被山体塌方切断,已经无法正常通行。更重要的理由是,去年在这里曾经发生过山友堕包事件(幸好掉下去的是包而不是人!)。 下面插播一段“广告”,是我的队友也是狼c队伍里的二位美女之一关于这次狼c穿越的文字:狼c,走还是不走,是个问 作者:eleven “狼C”——走还是不走,是个问(上篇) (首先申明,这不是一篇游记、指南或攻略,这只是两个月后个人“徒后感”,如果记忆发生偏差,关于路途记述有差错之处,纯属“必然”,请各位大虾纠偏。虽然我在这段时间也梦回了几回,可是每次梦回都无端的生出些故事情节来,并且不知道该将这些情节安在哪里!) 酒的好喝正在于他的难喝。 ——《伤城》 走完这条线路后,偶而会和周围不曾徒过但却不断对徒步这事向往之的个别朋友聊关于“徒步”这档事,当我假模假势地说起这事时,内心的真实想法是:呸,就这破事儿有什么可聊的,没有开始徒却向往徒的家伙们总是想把这事提高到一个高度,俗称“升华”,无论是从哲学意义还是精神境界(如同当初的我,居然可以用“当初”,羞愧难当。如果非要提高高度,那就是头的那句了),其实呢,去他的,不过走走路而已,结局就是所有的关节不太灵光,象我这样的,居然还能整出“习惯性呕吐”这样的问来。所以劝你,别走!(这态度象极了小牛童鞋打电话让我选择“狼C”去还是不去时的态度。)。 大概9月中上旬时,小牛打电话说“刚刚好”他们准备走“狼C”,问我去否,我犹犹豫豫地不做选择,话里的意思大致是要小牛帮我做个决定,如果他觉的我能走,我就走,如果他觉的我不能,我再考虑考虑(意思是他如果愿意在路上帮我,就走,如果不帮就不走,阴险。),可是他就甩下一句话:“自己都觉的不行,那还走个屁呀,退坑!”,经过几个晚上的挣扎,我还是决定去,即使做出决定时还是两腿发抖。 这期间时不时朋友打来电话说天气预报说那几天变天,或者去户外店买东西也被店主一番规劝,“鲜橙多”在电话里大小道理又统统讲了一遍,然后参加两次碰头会,石头还是如此的坚定,打电话给背包问:猜猜看还有谁,背包答:大脚(多谢背包赐名)。 对于我来说也许不该放弃此次机会。参会的人如此激动、兴奋,以致于从“征途户外”出来,坐在下行的电梯里,大家只顾着讲话,完全没有注意到电梯压根就没动,没有人按1楼楼层。 走此线的家伙,脑子统统有问。在回家的路上,“树”给我做了最后一次思想工作:既然决定去,其他的事情一概不想,只要计划上路就好。 于是9月30日凌晨,背上背包,冲向集合点,讲出的话轻松,可是心里还是没底。 人陆续来齐,17座的车被“刚刚好”安排的刚刚好能塞下14头脑残患者及14坨大包,土狼童鞋坐地上,可坐可躺。 “刚刚好”当然坐在前,带路,于是在这条正儿八经的宽宽的公路上带错了进呼图壁县的路,这还没进山就错了,进山怎么办?(事实证明,这条对于刚刚好来讲梦回八百遍的“狼C”线,几乎比从他家到“征途户外”的路还清楚)。 “大自在”在自己店门前大摆早宴席,奶茶、包子款待这14头牲口。 (7天后,从山里了来,我深深理解大自在为何如此激动,快要拥抱我们中的每一个人了,那场景再回忆起来,颇有“风萧萧兮易水寒,壮士一去兮不复返”的感觉,当然,咱不“复返”,咱直接就去巴仑台了)。 吃好喝好,拎着“鸡蛋饼”真正上路,非常顺利,路修的很好,以致于我们可以少走十几公里的路。到达起始点,下车,整理背包,放鞭炮,与司机师傅告别,约定大概出山的时间,然后,跨出第一步。 从开始,我就有点吃不消了,上上下下在树林里穿行,没有停歇,好容易熬到午饭点,鸡蛋饼瞬间就没了。当然午饭点对于“疯子”来讲完全没选好———在河边(可是谁饭点不选在河边呢?),“疯子”象“精卫”一般,目就是要把河填了,并且不论什么河,于是在我们用午餐时,“疯子”正奋力搬着一块块的大石头扔向河里,待快吃好时,疯子停手了,开始用餐(难道为了餐前消化?)。 继续前行,仅仅是这一天的路,我已经在某些地段手脚并用了,回头还不晚,并且飞跃已经在怂恿了,可是谁甘心呢? “飞跃”领队之领队,捣乱军心,拉出去砍了(阿弥陀佛)。 路走的没有尽头,这一天却快到了尽头,天色渐渐暗了下来,我和飞跃走在最后,前方的人马可能已陆续到达营地,可是我还没看到营地在哪儿,有点急可还是得听领队之领队的教化:走十分钟,飞跃同志说,歇会儿,咱吃个黄瓜;再走十分钟,飞跃同志说,歇会儿,我抽根烟,再走十分钟,飞跃同志说,歇会儿,要不咱吃个西红柿(其实有在野外,想想这待遇,相当不错)? 如此停停走走之后,我终于在这条马道看到了尽头,前方已有星星点点的亮光,快到营地了,可飞跃老先生还是停停走走,最后,道出真言:反正快到营地了,咱就慢点走,等到了营地,帐篷也搭起来了,饭也做得了,咱到了,吃了就睡! 这理儿不错,可还是得看情况。到了营地,我这边确实帐篷和饭都好了,等我安心吃饭时,营地响起的是飞跃的吼声:菜豆,在哪儿呢,这到营地半天,怎么连帐篷还没扎? 阴谋未得逞的人,通常都有点躁,可以理解。 (这天我们遇到了上海队7人,两名向导,5名队员,队伍至此扩大为21人。) 7点多起床,9点出发,我们还没吃饭,至尊宝与无怨无悔已收拾好背包,随时准备出发。 十月一日,我们要翻过白杨沟达阪,据刚刚好说,白杨沟达阪让很多人知难而返,事实证明这是很有道理的。走了一上午,不断上升,逐渐已看不到树木,我们在石子山上由开始的逛奔到晃荡,然而始终未见达阪真面貌,达阪究竟在哪儿,在我已不怎么想要知道答案时,看到了走在最前面的“背包客”“石头”“树”等一伙人在休息(这伙人休息就是重要信息),或许要到了。 到达午休点,吃过后,对于神秘白杨沟达阪的描述是,走过N个前方能看到的大大大山坡,他们将这称为“台阶”,然后就能到白杨沟达阪的脚下了。开始上台阶吧,“飞翔”走在我前面,无声无息,可是这N个台阶,累的人牛喘,于是,飞翔终于只是念叨着四个字“这群牲口,这群牲口……”我们还在台阶挣扎时,估计那几头壮牲口已经到达了白杨沟达阪的半山腰了,以致我终于走完台阶到达达阪脚下时,隐约能看到几个在晃动的小点儿。抬头望向顶峰,只有一个感觉,我,永远也到不了那儿了! 再也不看顶峰,只看脚下的山路,一步步往上挪,3860M的达阪终归能到,不过时间问。这天海拔上升1000多米,这一路就是三菱电梯—上上下下的感觉!上一千多米下一千多米。 下山对于飞跃简直就是—无法形容,反正在我看来,脚没沾地,瞬间就没了影。 倒是至尊宝在我前方演绎下山的优美动作,形 容梅兰芳 先生有“移步不换形”,至尊宝这下山姿势,手杖使用的灵活度,太过于优美,脚随手杖而变,变的快而稳,大家都这么走,可有些人就残疾了,比如小牛童鞋。有至尊宝在前方带路,恰恰好,在天刚擦黑,到达营地,马鞍形营地,打水很不方便,下山还有很远一段路。 帐篷还没扎稳,山大爷就变脸了,疾风骤雨,瞬间就到!迅速地将炉头等转至帐篷内,慌着给帐篷拉风绳,大概这个时候,土狼正在山下打水。差不多待土先生回来没多久,风雨就止了,月朗星稀,空气新鲜。 (这夜无语,没洗早睡吧!过了白杨沟达阪,彻底就成了开弓没有回头箭,无法返回。黄舒俊的歌里唱:马不停蹄的忧伤,我不是归人,只是过客。我们马不停蹄的赶路,来不及忧伤,我们不是归人,谁把家安这呀,一年归个三四回,非疯即傻;不是过客,谁没事干跑这当过客,找残废!) 还是七点左右,土狼又吹起床号了,出了帐篷,依然看到的是无怨无悔和至尊宝这对儿,收拾停当,候着! 九点,开始今天的行程。今天,栈道。 走过今天,狼C就完成了90%以上(刚刚好语)。对于我,恶梦正在摩拳擦掌正悄悄向我走来。 早晨的路,还好!除了土狼和小牛童鞋为了给今天平静的早上增加点气氛,而至使土狼伤了自己狼爪子,小牛童鞋扯破了裤子外,还是很顺利。延河而行,可以上山可以下河,自由选择,只为了传说中的栈道。 走这一程,甚至来不及感觉到累,心里只有庆幸,今天天晴,如果有雨,不敢想象,一路向上,上不好走,下行更难。陡、滑、窄,每一步的迈出,都极其小心,土狼说,腿抖,不是累,是吓的!不夸张。 这一程完毕,“高疯子”在全体人员注目下洗了澡,裸体!(未完待续) 各位同学明天要出去爬山 暂时休息两天请耐心等待~~~~~{4_129} 这里是空中栈道的一个“老虎口”。大家格外小心地迂回,在45度的陡坡上,长满荆棘和灌木,需要手脚并用攀爬近40米的高度才可以绕过这个“老虎口”。 当然,这里面不包括一个人,这人大家都叫它“疯子”,它是较晚到达这个老虎口的,只见他在大家的劝阻和惊呼声中,背着30公斤的大包,“一溜黄烟”跑步穿过“老虎口”。他就是“疯子”----“飞跃”!我还急急忙忙将我的尼康d60对准了他,不怀好意地要给他拍“最后一跃”呢.......可真够玩命的!今年河水较小,如果是6--8月路过这里,仅是峡谷里震耳欲聋的河水声,就能使人心有余悸 下午4:00点,到达一小瀑布群河段,河水咆哮着冲下河谷,震耳欲聋,水雾弥漫折射出一道道细细的彩虹。这亦真亦幻的美景,使人久久不愿离去。 接下来,经过短暂的休整之后,开始爬越最长、最累的那段空中栈道。 这一次我们在栈道上,连续攀爬了近三个小时。栈道蜿蜒曲折、波浪前进。部分栈道,宽不足半米,头顶和侧壁还在不停地往外渗水。加上四十度以上的陡坡,更是湿滑难行。 而在栈道的另一侧,则是几十米高的悬崖峭壁和滔滔的台普希克玛河。在这段栈道上行走,每迈出一步,都需要格外地小心翼翼。 任何一个小小的失误,都有可能带来难以预料的后果。 在这段栈道上,我们还看到了一只因失蹄而摔下栈道的北山羊。(野山羊,国家二级保护动物) 这是一只非常健壮的成年母羊,羊龄十三岁(可以用数羊角上的节数的方法,来判断其年龄,一节代表一岁),体重在一百五十公斤以上,比家养山羊的两倍还要多。尸体还没有开始腐烂,应该是近一周之内才摔下来的。 这段栈道,除了极端地惊险刺激以外,还有海拔的反复上升、下降,体力消耗极大!严重地考验着队友们的胆识,磨砺着队友们的意志。 还是看照片吧 。由于要注意自身的安全,这一段的照片只能反映这段栈道的局部,当然,这已经非常不容易了 小心翼翼的切过这段山体滑坡,前面的沟谷豁然开朗,这可怕的空中栈道就算是走完了。 前面300米就是我们今天的今天的营地了也就是在这段栈道上,部分队友由于有恐高而选择逆河连续淌水而上,我们称之为“鱼路”。 我们把栈道称之为“天路”。两队中共有七名队友选择了走“鱼路”。我队中有“牛牛”、“eleven”、“高疯子”、“小曹”四人参加了“鱼队“。当然,这中间也包几名括并无恐高症,但特别擅长走“鱼路”的队友,比如“高疯子”和“小曹”。 传两张队友拍的”鱼路“的照片 下午7:00点,走“天路”的队友终于走出那漫长的栈道,陆陆续续到达了营地。 半个小时后,七名走“鱼路”的队友才拖着已经湿透了的下半身,疲惫不堪地来到营地。他们中的大多数已经被冰冷的河水冻的嘴唇发紫、身体瑟瑟发抖。个别队友有轻度失温征兆。特别是“eleven”,冰冷的河水的连续浸泡,已经使我们的美女的体力严重透支。 一到营地,赶紧支起帐篷,换去已经湿透的鞋袜和衣服。 “背包者”烧好的一大锅姜红糖水瞬间就被一抢而光。 看看这张照片,狼塔已经离我们近在咫尺了 事实证明,“天路”要比“鱼路”好走,即节省体力也节省时间。 至此,可以说我们这次狼塔C线穿越的三分之二的难、险路段已经过来了,谢天!谢地!!谢人!!! 谢天:感谢上苍给了我们难得的三个好天气! 谢地:总是有惊无险,遇难成祥! 谢人:感谢我们的团队,团队的协作和互助才是我们这次狼C之行成功的关键。 今天累计上升约800米(估计),下降800米(估计),行走距离约15公里,用时10个小时。惊险、刺激、体力消耗很大。未完待续请看下集:之四--- 我们和狼群有个约会 91# sue5343 (*^__^*) 嘻嘻……我努力吧 O(∩_∩)O谢谢 D4日:10月3日,又一个大好的晴天。进入狼塔核心区域-----我们和狼群有个约会 7:00点刚过,我就起床了。 因为昨天到达营地时我看到狼塔离我们已经很近了(约10公里),它那酷似尖塔的山型,在群山中高高耸起,非常醒目,俊秀。早起,是为了拍一张狼塔日出的照片----狼塔金顶。 虽然,我的机器和技术都很一般,但也算没有白起个大早,总算拍了几张,个人感觉运气还不错,我走过两次博格达峰穿越,每次都是云遮雾罩的,什么也没有拍到,这次可算是幸运多了。 早9:30分拔营,沿着一个很不起眼的小河口(沟口有一颗挂满红色小果的树,这可是狼c路上最重要的地之一),逆河而上。开始翻越海拔3555米的库勒阿特藤大坂。 相对高差1000米。 大阪顶最后的300米陡峭难行、是坡度在60度左右的流沙坡,厚厚的积雪还覆盖住了上大阪的马道,爬升难度较大。 除此之外,其他上达坂的路段还是比较平缓易行的。([]
注:如果只想浏览主贴,请先点击“只看该作者”即可浏览连续主帖。注:如果只想浏览主贴,请先点击“只看该作者”即可浏览连续主帖。注:如果只想浏览主贴,请先点击“只看该作者”即可浏览连续主帖。序......打开新疆地图,在西天山中部地区分布着大大小小几十条河流,其中较大的有四条,自西向东依次是玛纳斯河、呼图壁河、三屯河和头屯河,其中以玛纳斯河最长,流域面积最大。这四条河流流域是新疆天山北坡经济带的核心地区,养育着数百多万的流域子民。该线路,主要设计思路:1.考察四大河流源头地区的生态系统;2.寻找呼图壁河源头最大的高山冰湖——绿湖,也叫河头湖或河源湖。这是中部天山地区最大的高山冰湖。目前还没有驴友到达过绿湖。3.全角度观赏拍摄天格尔峰;4.行走最美最大的高山牧场(比狼c的高山牧场还大)。5.开辟一条强度、难度和风景都能与狼塔c线、乌孙古道和夏特古道等新疆三大线路相当的全新探险线路。这是一次平均海拔3000米,最高海拔4010米的高山草原湿地探险之旅,是一次四河源头秘境的首次探访之路;我们计划找到呼图壁河源头湖--海拔3500米、周长3公里的绿湖。并且到达天格尔峰脚下,拜谒天格尔圣山.......由于是首次开辟新线,之前并没有驴友穿越过此线路,线路难度未知,尤其是要跨越四条大河的干流,水到底有多大?狼c穿越的是呼图壁河的三条支流,那水有多大,走过狼c的驴友都有体会。而这条线路需要横渡呼图壁河干流,能否借助简单的保护绳索顺利渡过?是否有牧民马匹帮助我们过河?还有,由于线路的三分之一是穿越蒙古牧民的冬季牧场,8月份是无人季节,野兽的袭击以及道路是否全程通畅?最后,就是这条线路风景究竟如何?......一切都是未知。鉴于线路的特殊性,只在我的qq空间发布了活动召集帖,主要是考虑所招募的队员必须是自己了解的。这也是我组队的一贯原则严格按照线路难易程度挑选队员。说到线路难度,一种是已经成熟的线路,比如狼c等,难度已经明确,参加队员也基本了解线路的难度,这种情况很好选择队员。按照线路难度来对号入座就可以。另外一种情况就是,全新线路,之前并没有驴友走过的线路。这样的线路难度、风景都未知,这样的线路可能很简单、也可能非常艰难,这就要求所挑选的队员必须是自己所了解的。参加队员不一定是体能最好的,但必须是心理素质最顽强的,也就是在任何情况下都能坦然面对的那种。否则,路途中的一些未知的困难可能会造成队员心理和情绪发生巨大变化,产生不可预见的麻烦,甚至直接导致穿越活动失败,给给整个队伍带来灭顶之灾。最终,有背包者、公格尔、石头、清风确认参加,加上我自己已经5人了,队伍可以成行,心中那个美呀!对于这样的队伍组合,我太满意了,除了这几人都是我比较了解、大家彼此都很熟悉以外,关键是这几个人的体能、速度都非常接近,这可以大大提高行进效率。因为我们知道,在长途跋涉中除了追赶前面队伍很累人以外,在海拔4000米的达坂顶等人会更加熬人,在那呼呼的冷风下等人也需要付出加倍的忍耐力。 至此,一条与著名的狼塔c线呈V型排列的穿越中部天山南北的线路计划正式出炉,这条线路从狼塔c线的出口——和静县巴伦台古仁郭勒村出发,先向东后转向北,最后从与呼图壁县相邻的昌吉市庙尔沟出山。具体穿越线路(暂时命名:[中天山]四河源头穿越或狼塔V线?.......):玛纳斯河源头支流和静县巴伦台古伦沟古仁郭勒村(狼c出口处)——奎克达坂3780m——夏热达坂——呼图壁河源头三角洲——绿湖3500m——乌拉布图达坂4010m——三屯河源头三角洲——天格尔达坂3780m——头屯河源头三角洲——头屯河大峡谷——桥楞格尔达坂——昌吉市庙尔沟镇农大林场全程120公里 ,五座达坂,爬升4200米, 难度等级 8 级(十级制) ,与狼塔c线相当,计划6天完成这是穿越路线简图: 一、旱獭到底招惹谁了?从8月14日开始,我打听接应从狼c穿越出来的驴友车,刚好有一支香港、深圳的9人队伍近期出山,联系到了他们预定的车辆师傅,师傅一听很高兴,他还正发愁自己去找不到古仁郭勒呢,我们刚好给他作个向导。万事具备,只等出发了。15日传来消息,是这支队伍用卫星电话打回来的,说是马上出山了,要司机等电话去出口接应他们。8月16日、17日在我们连续等了3天后,传出消息,说是这支队伍里有人受伤,已经搭乘矿区的车把伤员送到了和静县医院救治。其他队员回乌鲁木齐的时间待定。一边为这位受伤的驴友担心,一边查看了近期的天气预报,未来一周是难得的连续晴天。我们不能再等了。马上通知背包者去买到和静的火车票,一边通知清风统一购置了气罐并托运到和静县。18日晚8点,火车卧铺前往和静县。火车上的安全检查太苛刻了,大点的水果刀都不让带。可我们进山做饭要用刀呀,无人区生活一周怎么能没有刀?真TMD变态!背包者的水果刀被检查出来了,500元的刀扔了有点可惜,只好打电话让家人取回。研究了一下进站的安全检查程序,我只好冒险试一试。我把水果刀放到不锈钢水杯里带入,结果检查时还要求我喝了一口杯子里的水,最后涉险过关,万幸。一路无语,19日凌晨6点半到达和静,天还没有亮,我们徒步到达和静县城大十字,找了一处街心小游园休息,坐等天亮,主要是等托运过来的气罐。苦苦等了6个小时,终于在中午12点半等到了快递过来的燃气罐后,马上包车前往巴伦台。在巴伦台,吃了我们进山前的最后一顿正餐---带加面的豪华拌面。听饭馆老板说,早上有9人从呼图壁方向翻山过来,在巴伦台包车返回乌鲁木齐。这应该是8月12日进狼c的一支江西驴友队伍,可惜没有谋面。这是218国道502公里处,从这里进入狼c的出口古仁郭勒这是金特和钢矿区公路指示牌这是狼塔V线穿越的真正起点--古仁郭勒桥,同时也是狼c穿越的终点 刚刚迈开步子要走,迎面遇到一辆农用车,招手挡了下来,想让他再送我们一程,最好是能够翻越奎克达坂。车能走的地方干嘛要人走?商量了半天,车辆只能往前送5公里左右,上奎克达坂的路已经被洪水冲坏了,这车上不去。100元把我们5人5包又往里送了5公里。路上一直注意看着前方的路,希望能遇到一支走出狼c的队伍来。这是一辆收农副产品的车辆,车上有刚刚从牧民手中收购的钉子蘑菇,每公斤80元。据说味道如何如何鲜美。行不远,远处一辆摩托车招手,司机停车过去攀谈。摩托车司机从后储物箱里掏出几只已经死去的旱獭。原来这车就是干这个的呀。我们下车拍照,看到这车的车斗子里都是已经死去旱獭,应该有四、五十只。平时我们都是远观旱獭,感觉胖乎乎的非常招人可爱,此时看到如此多的旱獭尸体,心里多少有点不是滋味。 车的后箱里至少有50只旱獭尸体刚刚从摩托车上收购来的旱獭清风好奇,想掂一下旱獭的重量 农用车开到小砖房上一百米的地方就不能走了,不过这也节约我们一个小时的路程。告别师傅,向我们今天需要翻越的第一座达坂--奎克达坂爬去,现在海拔3280米,我们需要爬升约500米高程。远处左侧就是狼c的最后一个达坂---哈拉哈提达坂,右侧是我们此行的第一座达坂---古仁郭勒奎克达坂3780m 这是狼c的最后一个达坂---哈拉哈提达坂这是狼V的第一座达坂--奎克达坂海拔3780m 背包者和公格尔还是那么快,只一个多小时就顺利登顶奎克达坂。 因为是第一天行走,石头似乎状态不佳,被落在最后。我的状态不错,很快就追过了石头、清风第三个登顶。奎克达坂两侧是简易车道 奎克达坂海拔3780m,与狼c的最后一座达坂哈拉哈提达坂相距不到五百米,站在达坂顶遥望对面的哈拉哈提达坂,09年穿越狼c时的那一幕幕仿佛就在眼前。在今天的5名队员中有3人就是我们09年穿越狼c时的队友。奎克达坂也是玛纳斯河与呼图壁河之间的分水岭,过了奎克达坂就进入呼图壁河流域。奎克达坂顶的玛尼堆上挂满用羊耳朵穿起来经幡,抓紧时间和公格尔合影 从奎克达坂往东看去,是呼图壁河源头的一条重要支流。河流旁边有牧民的铁皮房子。 这段下达坂的路可以顺着简易公路走,坡度比较平缓。也可以沿着马道下到河谷。我看到山下有一处牧民房子,想过去打个招呼,顺便了解一下以后的路程。等我到房子跟前时,铁皮木屋是上锁的,房子的周围却挂满了这样的..........,对,没有错,这是被扒了皮的旱獭,这是在风干旱獭肉呢。转过头,看到的是更加血腥的一幕,旱獭的油已经被单独掏了出来晾晒,据说旱獭油是治疗烫伤和冻伤的良药。旁边还有座用毡子搭建的帐篷,里面的血腥场面更是惨不忍睹,这里就不发照片了。看着眼前的这一切,有种说不出道不明的愤怒。旱獭究竟惹谁了?该遭到这样残酷的杀戮! 据说,一只旱獭能卖50元,一个人每天最多可以抓40只旱獭,已经形成相当规模的市场。“没有买卖,就没有杀戮”记不清这是谁说过的话了,看看这些专职的盗猎分子。我们一路下来遇到了有五、六人。 这是沿途看到盗猎分子捕捉旱獭的“扣”晚上8点,我们在呼图壁河源头的一条支流边扎营,营地海拔3100m',感觉有点冷,需要穿抓绒衣外加冲锋衣。今天累计爬升500m,徒步距离12公里,那辆农用车带着我们走了5公里爬升了300米,为我们节约了1个多小时的时间。刚刚吃完饭,来了几位骑马的牧民和孩子,从他们哪里了解到,这条支流上游住着三户牧民,另外两户牧民就住在距离营地200米的山包后面,说来也巧,这时候,从那个山包后面又来了几位女孩子,牵着马过来吃草。在和她们聊天中,了解到我们要找的呼图壁河源头湖真名叫河头湖,哪里是冬季牧场,现在没有人。当他们听说我们要去河头湖时,极力劝阻我们,说我们无法到达哪里,一是因为现在水太大了,没有马匹是过不了河的。二是草原上的狼很多,另外还有熊猫(黑熊),很危险。对于他们所说信息到底有多少可信度?经验告诉我,这些信息只能作为参考。因为虽然他们很了解他们所在的大山,但他们不一定了解我们。对于这样信息我们必须要经过仔细分析才能取舍。况且,我们既然来了,就一定要自己去河头湖看看,直到走不了为止。 二、最大最美的高山牧场--夏热达坂高山牧场2009年10月当我穿越狼塔c线站在喀拉尕依特达坂顶上时,遥望着东南方向,哪里有着比西南方向的哈尔嘎特郭勒高山牧场更加广阔美丽的高山牧场,但由于资料匮乏,无法进一步了解这一地区的详细情况,也不知道哪里具体叫什么?这是当时回来后我所发表的狼c游记里的部分内容:“.....这是个三叉口大阪,往西南方向,是我们狼c前方的路线---哈尔嘎腾郭勒河谷;往东南方向也有非常明显的马道,远看也是个非常不错的高山牧场(但还没有哪里的名称和相关资料);......”2010年底,打开谷歌地球(GE),发现这一片区已经全部置换了高清图片,牧屋、马道清晰可见,这里是呼图壁河和三屯河源头三角洲地区。从GE上看,这一区域沟谷开阔,河网密布,草原辽阔。当然,最耀眼的当属呼图壁河源头的高山冰湖,该冰湖湖面海拔3500m,湖水碧绿,周围被4000m以上的雪山环绕,犹如一颗绿宝石镶嵌在雪山草原之间,非常醒目,着实令人向往......闲话不多说了,继续我们的正。D2日,8月20日,早晨起来感觉非常冷,帐篷周围的草上边都是霜。气温应该在零下5度左右。原计划今天的行程32公里,主要是因为今天的这段路没有过多海拔上升,所以是想多赶点路,争取到达河头湖(当地蒙古牧民的叫法,绿湖是当地哈萨克牧民的叫法)扎营。我们沿着呼图壁河的一条支流而下,脚下的牧草越来越高、越来越好,这一切表明,我们已经进入蒙古牧民的冬牧场。由于是冬季牧场,其他季节禁止放牧,所以草原上的牧草才这么好。这中间过了两次河,由于河水较小,直接跳过来了。这是第三次过河点,过了这里道路将转为西—东方向。 横切进入夏热达坂高山牧场人在画中 来到夏热达坂高山牧场,连平时很少照相的背包者也开始摆起poes,照个没完。 夏热达坂是一座坡度很平缓的小达坂,达坂上的牧草有20cm高,有的牧草已经发黄,里面还夹杂着许多不知名的各色野花,由于地势较高、视野非常开阔。走这样的达坂真是一种享受 石头情迷美丽的高山牧场石头捡的玛瑙石 天苍苍野茫茫看着非常养眼的高山草原达坂,海拔上升也比较平缓,可走起来并没有照片中看到的惬意。总是感觉腿上使不上劲,连领头疯跑的背包者和公格尔也不例外。感觉他们俩走得比我还费劲。清风今天状态不错,一直走在前面,我试着追他,追了一个小时,最后是我们俩最先登顶夏热达坂。登顶夏热达坂顶 在达坂顶,我想拍远处的雪山,刚刚换好300mm的长头,石头也到了。她指着我们背后的草坡说,哪里有一群羊。这是冬季牧场,没有牧民那来的羊群?我回过头看,这哪里是普通的羊群,分明是一群北山羊,数量足有50多只了。以前走狼c和乌孙古道最多见过10多只的北山羊群,这次可大发了。这个长头多次带出来过,可几乎就没有用过,这次可派上用场了。赶紧拍了几张。公格尔还闲太远,想再靠近点拍,我把相机给他,可他向羊群移动了100多米后,羊群却向着更远的山坡也移动了100多米。白忙乎了。这是放到最大的照片了,凑合看吧 夏热达坂的另外一侧也是非常广阔漂亮的高山牧场 从夏热达坂下来,就是我们要过的第二条河,它也是呼图壁河的一条主要支流。来到河边,河水没有想象中大,很好过,河边有几户牧民房子和羊圈,但都上了锁。房子的周围是一人多高的草,走在里面有点渗人。刚好也到中午午餐时间了,照例午餐休息晒帐篷睡袋。有羊群就有狼群,这就是自然界的法则。刚才在达坂顶看到的北山羊群也提示我,从今天开始我们5人将进入无人区,一切都要靠自己。因为呼图壁河源头地区是蒙古族牧民的冬季牧场,其他季节是没有人类活动的。清风还在河里捡到一只北山羊头。拍照留影,弃之河边,还有点恋恋不舍。后来的才知道,这样北山羊头沿途还很多,到后来别说背了,就连拍张照片都懒得拍了。清风在河里发现一具完整的北山羊头 顺河而下,很快就来到两河交叉处,这是呼图壁河上游最主要的“鸡爪"岔,在不足300米的长度内,先后有三条主要的支流汇集。这是第二次两河汇集,左侧的是我们刚刚过来呼河第二条流,右侧是呼图壁河干流。逆行不到300米,又是两条支流汇集,这是第一次汇集,左侧是呼图壁河干流,右侧是呼河的第三条支流 最东边的支流水量最大,也是呼图壁河的干流。溯源干流,就可以到达呼图壁河源头---绿湖(河头湖)。河头湖是当地蒙古牧民的叫法,后来我们知道,当地的哈萨克牧民称呼其为绿湖,我们感觉这个名字更能体现河头湖的特征,所以我们更愿意称呼其为绿湖。呼图壁河干流这时的马道变得时有时无,并且不停在河谷中穿行。这就带来一个问,如果我们按照马道行走,就必须不断涉水过河。但同时,我们看到,右侧的山势比较平缓,即便是没有马道也可以行走。在前队的清风、石头和公格尔趟了两次河后,我和背包者偷懒,提前从右侧山上横切,结果,路还是比较好走的,很快超越了前队。清风、石头和公格尔三人前面趟水过河走了 接下来的路,马道越来越模糊,时而河谷时而山梁。路上的草越来越深,到后来,逐渐出现小片的沼泽或者布满小草包的湿地。这样的路走起来很费劲,一不留神还可能崴脚。山坡上的路需要不断爬这样的小山包 非常感谢楼上各位新老朋友光顾,支持、顶帖!你们的跟贴树已经仔细看过,不胜感谢,谢谢你们的支持!这里不再一一回复,我先抓紧时间发帖子。 河道时宽时窄,马道时高时低沼泽地 需要精心选择落脚地 牧草时高时矮,看看这里的牧草已经有半人多高 前方的绿湖方向已经变天而另外一方却还是蓝天白云([]
百闻不如一见,不去印度走走,就不能了解这个国家的真面貌。21天时间虽然短,走了11个城市,穿越了广大农村,尽管对印度只有肤浅的了解(我们几乎和印度人没有真正的交流),但仍留下了极深的印象。印度古代文化辉煌灿烂,保留下来的古迹在世界上独一无二,大概这是吸引世界各国游客的主要原因。印度百姓对游客的热情超出预料。城市繁华地区非常拥挤,基础设施落后,普遍人多的地方很脏。 这位先生左手抓住火车门把手,探身到车窗前试意让我们给他拍照。泰姬陵下可爱的印度小姑娘第一次乘火车遇到的印度baby从孟买开始,我们的行迹。我们七人中我的机票是最后买的,反而最便宜,天津到印度往返共2800元人民币。转机期间在吉隆坡逛街 来到印度上空 初识孟买孟买的火车站大楼是世界文化遗产 阳光照在孟买车站大楼的玻璃窗上 印度第一餐 在印度门前合影的小学生 孟买紧邻阿拉伯海海岸大堤上有许多年轻人年轻人喜欢被拍照第一次坐火车从孟买到奥兰加巴德,老王在国内网上买的普通硬座车票,相当拥挤,这段旅程让大家充分体验了快乐。车顶的风扇密度大,可以想像夏天之炎热。拥挤超过了中国春运,印度人习惯了图中这么坐,曾有人想坐到我们脚前。给带小孩儿的妇女让座,这个小傢伙给大家带来了欢乐,流轮抱。老王贺老李得贵子,说老李:八十八,还结瓜。埃洛拉石窟位于奥兰加巴德西北约25至30公里处,有34座的石窟,佛教石窟共12座,印度教石窟有17座,耆那教石窟有5座,全长约2公里,是公元7世纪至11世纪时期,也就是早期遮娄其王朝、罗湿陀罗拘陀王朝时期的宗教建筑,埃洛拉以雕刻著称,形式上呈现大乘佛教末期的特征。其中第16窟凯拉萨神庙,呈现出天人合一的完美景致,堪称建筑艺术史上的绝色,令人叹为观止。因为只有一天时间,我们没有参观更远的阿旃陀石窟。 埃洛拉第16窟凯拉萨神庙 从8世纪中期,一位石匠用凿子开凿岩壁开始,到今后的100多年,在德干高原一块独体巨石之上,耗费上百年的岁月和几代人的人生,用纯手工雕刻出来一个巨大的寺庙。看到这些人工的杰作,我的感受就是震撼,来印度哪怕就看这一个景点也值了。(照片中红箭头指处是岩壁上的一个大蜂巢) 岁月侵蚀使雕塑残破,但仍能看出其风采。 人物形象栩栩如生 夕阳照耀第16窟 这个小朋友也许在感受神的力量... 第16窟凯拉萨神庙属印度教,神宙最高点这个雕塑觉得是印度教膜拜的“林迦”。 印度的庙宇及街头随处可见的,就是供奉着代表湿婆大神的“林迦”,而人形的湿婆像反而很少见。林迦一般呈勃起状,以代表女性生殖器的“约尼”为底座。不了解林迦,就很难了解印度教的特色。 我觉得宗教在印度在一定程度上起着负面作用,由于印度教生殖崇拜,造成计划生育很难实现。具说印度目前人口达11亿。 圆形的花瓣托起四个神兽,不知道是什么寓意,极其壮观。 设计这个石窟的人一定是艺术大师,技术大家,也许这是集体创作所成。 匆匆看过埃咯拉古窟,当晚乘大巴第二天清晨回到孟买,住了两天,旅馆紧邻市中心泰姬玛哈大饭店,2008年11月这个饭店遭恐怖分子袭击,许多人遇难。在去象山岛的船上看印度门和泰姬玛哈大酒店。 印度门到象山岛约12公里,岛上有若干个石窟。有点象敦煌石窟石柱尾随渡船的海鸥争抢游客抛到空中的食物 在渡船上拍照,印度门是当年为迎接英王来访而建,现在成了志性建筑;印度门上方的刻字。回到孟买,多次路过艺术博物馆,这座建筑外形对人很有吸引力,离开孟买那天去参观,不巧那天闭馆。 孟买大学旧址 孟买大学旧址 盆中花参观结束我们来到城堡旁一个超五星级在饭店内休息的林总、老金,这两位的英文超棒,使我们一路过关斩将,问路、住宿、吃饭、买车票较顺利。这个美丽的泳池提高了饭店的档次 这次出游大家在一起交流摄影技术,常提的一个词就是“色温”,老林还常把色温的的色念成三声的“SHAI”。夕阳照耀下的... 从城堡出来走在小镇上,商店外摆着五颜六色的女鞋。 傍晚,乘船游小湖,阳光照在湖面上,一片红霞。 在乌代浦尔游玩一天,晚上坐大巴赶往第四座城市斋浦尔。夜里发生了小悲剧,一个急刹车,正在换衣服的老金猝不及防,摔倒头撞在棱角上,头顶正中破了一个约七厘米的口子,鲜血流了许多。老林让司机紧急就地找医院。汽车开了约一刻钟停在路边,黑暗中,老林我和几印度人陪老金到卫生所就医。医生的作法让我目瞪口呆,他也不洗手,简单处理一下,脏手拿着针就要缝,我真是无语了... 简单包扎后,我们上车了,决定到斋浦尔找一个最好的医院治疗。 照片正中就是医生,象是乡镇卫生院大夫,感觉有点象我国文革中的赤脚医生。唉,他们的卫生习惯啊! 汽车开到斋浦尔时天已经亮了,安排好住宿,老金老林我乘TUTU车来一家全市最好的医院。这里干净整洁,医生护士温文尔雅(这是一家私人医院,美国人推荐到这里就医)。照片中的女医生为老金做了缝合手术,并打了破伤风针。 手术后去看门诊大夫,约定换药次数和时间。印度医院的诊室布局和中国还是有区别的,墙上书架摆满了医书。后来问老金为什么这些医生都这么儒雅,老金说他们都是从海外学成回来的医生。 老林是老金的中学同学和兵团战友兼铁哥们儿,手术中他痛心的说:本来挺高兴的出来玩,没想到出这事,回去怎么和老金夫人交待啊! 不行你们去玩吧,我和老金去新德里坐飞机回北京。老林的话很感人,患难见真情。手术成功后,大家都十分高兴,兴奋的开始了斋浦尔之旅。 包了送老金去医院那位司机的TUTU车,参观的第一景点是位于市中心的城市宫殿。 城市宫殿City Palace是一座由当时的印度王公萨瓦伊·斋·辛格二世于1726年建造的宫殿。这座装饰精美的7层建筑,现在仍然是印度王公的住所,其中一部分已被改建为博物馆。在这里您可以真实地亲身感受王公生活的奢华。 侍者站立处是一个极其精美华丽的孔雀门参观和城市宫殿相邻的斋浦尔天文台(Jantar Mantar)。斋·辛格二世建造的三座天文台(另外还有德里、瓦拉纳西的两处)中,斋浦尔的这座规模最为巨大。也是现在唯一还在使用的天文台。 这里是世界文化遗产。参观第3个景点是象背上的山城—琥珀宫(Amber Palace),TUTU车吃力的翻过一个陡坡来到城堡脚下。建在山丘之上的这座宫殿,地势远远高于周围其他城市。16世纪建成时,是当时卡奇瓦哈家族王国的首都。 沿着曲折的路步入城堡内,里面有一个大院子。宫殿几乎全部由石材建成精美的装饰图案令人目不暇接石柱建筑华美到了极致;后来老林说过一段话:“其实印度人很纠结,印度人大部分信奉印度教,但拿得出手给人看的古迹大都是伊斯教保留下来的。 ”城堡维修工人城堡下的小湖 屋顶的图案很华美正下方拍不全,只能斜着照一张。([]
在内罗毕参加了当地旅行社提供的SAFARI行程,一辆面包车临时凑起四个来自不同国家(中国、日本、保加利亚、肯尼亚)的客人,安排住CAMP的SAFARI六天报价680美元,包括CAMP内的三餐。如果因观赏动物中午不能返回CAMP,还包括野外的盒饭。 好一点的帐篷宿营区可以在帐篷内部提供简单的淋浴和卫生设施,营区内有人烹制简单的餐食,还算可以我去过的最后一个帐篷营地很简陋只有几个水龙头和公共淋浴设施,就属于比较艰苦的了。 前排左起:伶达、松田奈丽、扎西 后排:库拉利通常的野生动物观赏地有三个:马塞马拉国家公园(MASAI MARA),纳库鲁湖国家公园(LAKE NAKULU)。安波塞利国家公园(AMBOSELI) 马塞马拉国家公园(MASAI MARA) 马塞马拉在肯尼亚南部,属于肯尼亚和坦桑尼亚共同建立的塞伦盖蒂 – 马塞马拉动物保护区。每年,数以百万计的角马,斑马争先恐后渡过马拉河,逐水草迁徙在塞伦盖蒂和马塞马拉之间,成为《国家地理》,探索频道永恒的主。这里是肯尼亚最好的野生动物观赏地。野生动物的种类和数量都是首屈一指的。最特别的是汽车可以在广袤的草原上任意沿着长期碾压出来的车辙行驶,也可以在地面条件允许时独辟蹊径。这就使游客可以在最近的距离观赏野生动物。我们就有数次与狮子,猎豹面对面的接触。纳库鲁湖国家公园(LAKE NAKULU) 这里以燃烧的火焰 – 火烈鸟著称。大裂谷的西侧,一潭潋艳的湖水。一个一个并不很大,只有62平方公里的咸水湖,湖水也很浅,只有两三米。但是这里却因三百万只大火烈鸟的聚集,而闻名世界,被称做火烈鸟的天堂。湖边成片的金合欢树林,映衬蓝色的湖水,火红的火烈鸟,俨然一幅大自然的风景画卷。安波塞利国家公园(AMBOSELI) 安波塞利国家公园也在肯尼亚的南部,马塞马拉的西边。个人感觉这里最著名的就是非洲之颠 – 乞力马扎罗山。虽然乞力马扎罗山在坦桑尼亚境内,但是最佳的观赏位置却是在安波塞利。乞力马扎罗山在这里呈现出完全对称的火山地貌,遗憾的就是随着地球边暖,山顶的积雪在旱季已经寥寥了。 安波塞利国家公园更多的是平原,雨季浅浅的湿地在旱季变成成片的荒野,气流不时卷起一股股小龙卷风。几个不大的池塘,就成了各种动物的聚集宝地。我们感觉这里除了大象群以外,其他的野生动物远比不上马塞马拉。最不方便的一点就是这里不允许汽车在干涸的原野中自由行驶,必须沿着几条砂石公路行驶,给野生动物的观赏带来不小的局限性。毕竟动物们并不一定都在路边上恭候我们。如果一心一意想看动物,倒不妨不来这里,而在马塞马拉多住几天。地球的“十字架”东非大裂谷(RIFT VALLEY) 号称“地球伤疤”的东非大裂谷纵贯肯尼亚,戏称“地球裤腰带”的赤道横穿肯尼亚。我就把这个巧合妄称为“地球十字架”吧。首都内罗毕在裂谷的边缘,去马塞马拉的话,出内罗毕不远就是眺望大裂谷的观景台,景色蔚为壮观。沿盘山公路下行,进入谷底一直向南,就是马塞马拉国家公园了。裂谷在肯尼亚人心中有非常重要的位置,以至于他们把其中的一个省命名为“裂谷省”。 小费 通常是一辆车4 – 6人,司机兼导游。小费一般每人每天5 – 10 美元。如果对司机的服务满意当然可以多给一些。小费是在全部行程结束时给的。 易货 肯尼亚的木雕非常有名,乌木,乌心木等硬木雕塑的人物,动物都是不错的纪念品。在前往任何一个国家公园的途中,都有供旅行车停车休息,旅客方便的地方,那里都有出售纪念品的摊位。根据我的经验与教训,最好不要在这里买,因为喊出的价格非常高,即使侃价下来,也不划算。内罗毕市中心有个CITY MARKET,里面有很多出售木雕的摊位,价格相对便宜。 观赏野生动物,如果司机兼导游是说英语,就需要知道常见的野生动物名称。 Aardvark 土豚 Baboon 狒狒 bush buck 南非大羚羊 cheetah 猎豹 dik-dik 非洲小羚羊 Eland 旋角大羚羊 hippo 河马 hornbill 犀鸟 Hyena 鬣狗 Implala 黑斑大羚羊 mongoose 猫鼬 ostrich 鸵鸟oribi 非洲侏羚oryx 直角大羚羊rock thrush 非洲画眉secretary bird 鹭鹰shrikes 伯劳鸟starling 八哥stork 鹳topi 牛羚Tompson’s gazelle 汤普森瞪羚vulture 兀鹰Waterbucks 非洲大羚羊wildbeest 角马wildhog 疣猪whilst rock hyRAX 蹄兔六天的行程:内罗毕——马塞马拉国家公园 ———纳库鲁湖国家公园 ——安波塞利国家公园 ——内罗毕 马塞马拉国家公园三天纳库鲁湖国家公园一天安波塞利国家公园二天另外三个同伴简单的介绍:伶达:肯尼亚人,当我们在车上看野生动物时,她大多时间都在座位上看书~库拉利:保加利亚人,伶达的男友,很沉默寡言的一个老实人松田奈丽日本妞,来非洲的志愿者,她在上海财经大学留过学,现在新加坡搞什么数据分析,她只跟我们一起走了两天后又去别的国家,很阳光大气的女孩,在一起混了一天多就可以勾腰搭背了,她也成了我这二天的兼职翻译车子去马塞马拉途中在东非大裂谷的观景台停留了一会本来以为大裂谷会像峡谷一样的深不可测,但看看身后大裂谷就有些失望了这是别家去草原看野生动物的大卡([]

There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. There are many ways in one's life too, you can only take it once and you will no long have the courage to repeat it.I pushed the bike crossing the river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... I liked such a colorful and peaceful Chang Tang and very much enjoyed my camp and myself bathed in such beautiful colour.The ice like this was very thin and suspended, far away from the main stemHard surface with half-melted underneath, the soft sand at the botton was most scaryThe ice like this could easily jam the wheels, hard to get it outI had to unload the panniersChaotic water and terrible hails turned up in no timeThe Chang Tang at the moment liked it used to be,a mixture of cold and warm tones under the golden setting sun Day 8 (April 27), 14.6km, Camping 5112mLast night, I forgot to bring in the odometer, which was out of order due to the coldness in midnight. Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. The accuracy of this prediction was about 80%.The road was very bad today. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The nightmare was over.Cold and clear morningHeavy morning condensation in the interior, a lot of frost to clearSuch dawning sunlight indicated a cloudy day ahead Day 9 (April 28), 18km, 5072mIn the morning I entered a range of sandy roads which were so terrible. The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. This was just because I found there was a little bit of extra space when I was in Nagri packing the stuff for this journey so that I bought two packs of cereals. It tasted disgusting, probably there was too much alkali in the water. I threw away half of it. Later I realised that probably I subconsciously felt that the provisions was so heavy. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. The thing was that if you were not afraid of them and moved forward, they would run away in no time. There were only some mad yaks attacking people, which was really rare to happen. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. They use them from their teens to the time when their hair becomes silver.The deserted Jeep, could be left by illegal hunters years agoThe slaughtered wild yaks with the wheel size heads. Some of the skulls were chopped into half. Why was that? Could be taken away for making combs?My camp at the foot of the Daban underthe lingering golden rays of the setting sun. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Once there was a nomad taught me a method to protect yourself from bears. He told me to pick up a stick to feed the bear and the bear thinks the stick is your hand which tastes disgusting. So the bear would leave. It was so funny but the reality is to find a stick in this vast wilderness is just like you win the lottery.Bears are omonivorous animal who are generally not interested in human flesh. You can find that in most of accidents, the bears did not eat any of the human flesh rather they just smashed them for kind of fun that we could not understand. For the reason why bears kill human, one explanation is the conflict between human and wildlife in this extreme ecological environment. The nomads invade the habitats of the bears, which results in these conflicts. On the other hand, it might be because bears have quite high IQ so that they think it is much easy to kill a sheep in the cote rather than to kill a pika in the wild.I have met bears five times in my traverse, in two cases we were very close to each other. There were a few very small lakes but all were alkaline puddles which was very shallow, whose depth was no more than the length of a half-finger. These puddles were covered with a hard shell of the mixture of salt and ice which smelled stinking and decaying when getting closer, must be toxic water I supposed. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. They were plainly to be spotted because they looked like a clear black straight line in the while snow. I returned to get my camera and then followed them to take some pictures. But they were very much alert and kept a quite long distance from me. I felt they were a group of pregnant females, instinctively protecting themselves from any potential harm. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
