肥出发,看了下地图,走个环线,把主要免费景点玩一圈,第一站打鼓岭。 烟雨濛濛,去打鼓岭的途中随拍。打鼓岭 打鼓岭在好多年前就计划去的了,却一直失之交臂。打鼓岭最引人入胜的是它的瀑布和潭水,夏天去的话在潭水里游泳将是非常舒爽。 飞瀑成群,清幽深涧,在丛林群峰中跌宕穿梭跳跃不停的流水,或蓄积而成深潭,或淋漓于悬崖之间而成天然瀑布,有的气质飘渺,有的激情四溅,有的柔美细腻,日夜叮咚,鸣响不绝。主要景点有仙女潭、舞袖潭、三迭瀑、仙浴池、小银河瀑布等。 游客中心离景区入口有好几公里,每人15块的景交送到景区入口,回程包接,这是景区入口处的小木亭。 "打鼓岭"地名由来有二说一说此地山高谷狭,莽莽丛林间群峰叠起,一道白练,在峭壁悬崖间飞珠溅玉,蒸云腾雾。那瀑布在山崖间三番冲折,泻入深潭,訇然有声,水声几经山谷回响,像无数面锣鼓在敲打,因而这山叫打鼓岭,岭上的人家叫打鼓村,岭下的小河叫打鼓河。 过年后一直下雨,山涧的水流量很大。打鼓岭是黄山山脉自东向西延伸的余脉,与棠棣岭、 殷溪岭、方家岭等同为新安江和青弋江的分水岭,打鼓河便是由此汇入青弋江的源流之一。 第一个大瀑布,人工砌筑石坝打造的,水量超大,但不够自然,旁边还有一小瀑布。 这个应该是仙女潭,传说仙女洗澡的地方,潭边有一截枯树头,枯树根,天然密铺一层小卵石。 水帘洞,就是瀑布后有一个洞,却不知美猴王在何处? 吊桥,淡妆的胳膊受伤了,依然出行,精神可嘉。 一株古树横亘山涧,长满了青苔,恐怕只有武林高手才能飞渡了。 三迭瀑,比起庐山瀑布千古流传的“飞流直下三千尺,疑是银河落九天”的千古绝句,打鼓岭的三迭瀑一点也不逊色,同样是豪情万丈,声若惊雷。 最高峰处打鼓祈福。 这个细细的瀑布非雨季应该是没有的,好似少女粉颊上一缕刘海,秀丽拘谨,声若柳琴轻拨。 最后一个是小银河瀑布,不高,很雄厚,状若奔马,声响震天。 喀斯特地貌,山中全空,水从不知名洞中奔流而出。 山涧上游出来便是打鼓人家了,要是天气暖了,在这住下来休闲几日应该是极好的。坐景交返回游客中心停车场,继续下一站卢村。卢村 卢村,又名雉山村,安徽省黟县宏村镇辖村,距世界文化遗产地宏村镇区以北约1千米。卢村最有名的就是号称“徽州第一木雕”的木雕楼,是卢氏三十三代传人卢邦燮于清道光年间所建。卢邦燮早年经商,家富百万,后来转入仕途。他妻妾成群,除大夫人外还娶了四房姨太太;为能金屋藏娇,共修建了志诚堂、思济堂、思成堂和玻璃房等宅院,并请能工巧匠来雕梁画栋和对门窗等雕刻,历时二十多年;传说到卢的女儿要出嫁时,木雕还没有完成呢。 卢村的停车场及村口门楼正在修建,有点乱糟糟。这是在停车场拍摄村内的石拱桥。 村子被溪水环绕,进村需过一石板桥,门楼就在桥头,还没完全建好,没拍了,这就是村口的小河。 这就是志诚堂了。 志诚堂木雕非常精细,技艺精湛,图案栩栩如生,简直就是一座雕刻艺术的博物馆,折射出古代徽州艺人娴熟的技巧和超凡的智慧。 还有一栋房非常阴森,一进去就感觉不舒适,可能是阴气太重了,没注意看是什么堂了,赶快退出来。 被烟熏黑的白墙,古朴盎然。 烟雨凄迷,小巷深深,抬头仰望,高大的马头墙,无垠的天空下,或许是对自由的向往。在这样一个巷口转角处,会不会和一个丁香一样的姑娘不期而遇呢? 还有木匠师傅正对一栋老宅子进行翻修,社会不断的发展,很多传统的手艺都快丢失殆尽了。 狭窄的巷道,一线天。 朦胧烟雨,远山含黛,青瓦白墙,这是梦里的徽州。 卢村不大,一个多小时就溜了一圈,这是进村石板桥的船形桥墩,很好的抵抗了水流的冲击。木坑竹海 卢村到木坑竹海不到十公里,途中还经过宏村,塔川。检票口的长廊,景点名塑石不自然,同周边环境不搭,要是天然石块就好了。 入口处为水色清碧的秀女湖,湖面积不大,湖畔的层层青竹倒映在水中,与微波一起轻轻荡。上方是刚刚修建好开业的玻璃桥,横跨秀女湖两边山峦,我们玻璃桥栈道走的太多,这次就没上去走了。 木坑以竹海而著名,地处桃源山村东大门,为黄山入黟第一寨。木坑竹海又称"滴翠谷",此谷纵深约6公里,四面环竹,郁郁葱葱,形如金斗,聚财不漏,风水甚佳。电影《卧虎藏龙》,就曾经在此取景拍摄"竹林斗剑"。 循着长长的绿竹相夹的石级小道一路往上,自山脚盘旋而上,极目天地之间,大片大片的竹林覆满了整个辽阔的山脉。漫山的竹林,郁郁葱葱,且前往游玩的游客不多,非常地安静,让人心旷神怡。 山里尽头竹海深处的小村就是木坑村了,只有几十户人家,房屋依山而建,如今大多改为民宿了,有些颇有几分格调。 雨后观景,白云人家,翠浪波涛,仿佛天上人间。 出村,转过茶园,很快就回到了秀女湖出口。 此时下午四点左右,继续到塔川看看。 下一篇逐梦徽州,追寻春的脚步——画里乡村黟县行(中)~塔川●奇墅湖●屏山驴行户外,一直在路上!户外纯属兴趣爱好,希望有一天能走遍神州大地。有空时我会慢慢记下现在以及过往的驴行历程同大家分享,也许偶尔会发发牢骚。喜欢的识别下面二维码关注,微信好友也可点击下蓝色字“随风印迹”关注。驴行路上有你更精彩!(

旅行结束已经一个月了,我已深深爱上了在路上的感觉,在路上的每一天,接触的每一寸土地,每一个人都是那么值得纪念。 本人,自取名葡萄,80后女孩一枚,2013年3月22日深圳出发,骑行广东,海南,广西,越南,云南,西藏拉萨,共计骑行超过6000公里;徒步搭车尼泊尔,西藏阿里,新疆,甘肃,陕西,河南郑州,家乡为终点,共计搭车超过10000公里,旅行总旅程近20000公里,耗时四个多月,所有花费不过万元左右!旅行路线以图为例: 那段日子,在我的脑子里总有一个想法,就是趁着自己还年轻,自己还有能力去做一些现在还能做的事情,去和我魂牵梦绕的梦中圣地亲密接触,去实现自己未能实现的梦想,不给自己的人生留下遗憾。因为我明白真的是有许多事情如果现在不做,以后也许真的不会有机会可以这么潇洒说走就走,不被现实束缚,去追逐自己的梦!我热爱旅行,旅行之前的几天,我天天抱着兴奋与期待的心情去开始这趟远行,在乎的只是这种追寻的过程,在此次旅行之前,我2012年五月曾经骑单车走过川藏线,环过青海湖,也骑行过6000公里,曾经没有一点骑行经验的我居然可以做到首次出远门就可以走这么远,因而更见坚定了我的信心,我相信只要我想走,我就可以到达我想去的地方。我已经深深的享受在路上的过程,会更高兴认识每一个驴友,以及每一个驴友物背后的故事。我只是一个行者,也可以一直在路上,只是自己不会是一个人走在路上。我希望在未来,不管是一个人还是两个人,或者是一家人,都可以再路上。如果以后自己有孩子,我会带着孩子去旅行,让他们感受大自然的巨大魅力,让他更好的感受人间冷暖,更好的了解这个世界。2013年3月,刚刚过完年,我辞掉了原本不错的工作,刚好有之前的骑友周叔骑行经过深圳,于是我们一路结伴前行!周叔此次从浙江沿着海岸线一路到达深圳,于是我带周叔简简单单的逛了一下深圳,没有过多的准备,我们说走就走,也许自己喜欢的就是这样,我们两人从深圳湾口岸轮渡到珠海。正是开始了我们的边境线骑行。骑行是快乐的,自由的,无忧无虑的,我享受那种速度与激情,贪恋路上的风景。骑行也是辛苦的,这样的季节,这样炎热的天气,我们也付出了太多的汗水,每一天衣服都是湿了又干干了又湿,即便如此,我依旧享受这个过程。 我的座驾也就是美利达公爵550,去年曾带我走过川藏,青海湖,已经走过6000公里。这次出行我只是稍稍保养变上路了,结果没想到骑行第一天车架就断了,幸好周叔帮我用铁钉固定了一下,不过也就坚持用了一天,两侧车架全部断裂,幸好已到阳江,我换上了全新的车架,继续赶路。确没想三天爆胎三次,还好周叔是补胎高手,五分钟就帮我搞定。在广东边境的每一天几乎都下雨,我们怕热,索性就直接淋雨,哈哈!3月28日,我们到达海安镇,在这里轮渡到海口。一路吹着海风,享受着旅行的快乐。周叔55岁左右,是户外高手,酷爱骑行。去年曾经从上海318的零公里开始一路骑行至拉萨。到达海口之后,另外一个骑友小顾也到达了海口,我们一起参观了海口市博物馆,海南大学,然后我们三人结伴一起环海南岛。我们从东线出发到三亚。环岛第一天,天下起了大雨,下午的时候雨停了,我们三个出发了,环岛正式开始,我们在40多公里处的道班搭帐篷,有个养护公路的阿姨真的很热心,让我们在里面搭帐篷,还为我们提供了洗澡的地方,给我们好大的木瓜吃!幸福,这就是简单的幸福!在这里我们与大自然亲密接触,很多很多的青蛙在草坪上跳来跳去,真是听取蛙声一片。 旅行之乐,在于美景,在于遇人,在于发现,寻找那些我们未知的、好奇的,或者曾经拥有、却被时间淡忘的珍宝。而我们最先寻获的,往往是自己的贪心和不知足。在去博鳌博鳌那里逛了一下,风景美如画!路边种的都是大片大片的菠萝。到了这里才知道原来菠萝是这么长的,菠萝蜜又是这样长的。看来走万卷书不如走万里路,这话可是真的。呵呵。小顾还跑到地理摘了两个菠萝,我们带路上吃,超有意思啦! 这一路走来,路边种植的都是热带水果,来海南,就让我们变成吃货吧!海南就是水果的天堂,是吃货的天堂哦!路过一个椰子的集散站,3块钱一个椰子,这样的酷暑天气,这样的叶子对我们骑行者来说实在是好宝贝,好吃又解渴! 也许旅游对大部分人来说是到景点观光拍照,买纪念品。而对我们来说,骑行式和背包式的旅行却能获得更多,这样的旅行能带来更多的惊喜和冒险,同时也有机会接触当地的人,对当地的文化及风俗可以有更进一步的了解。旅行的日子越久,走的地方越多,纪念品就买的越少,甚至不喜欢去游客多的地方。慢慢才发现,原来最美的景点一直都是在路上!那碧波荡漾的海水,浩瀚无垠的天空,三亚也许是很多人的梦中圣地!因而吸引了一批又一批的游客来到这里,尤以俄罗斯人居多。但对我来说,也许是在深圳看海看多了,所以来这里并没有太大的感觉!我们从西线回到海口,一路沿海边顺风骑行,时速可以达到30km/h,一天我们骑行180公里,两天到达海口,却并没有拍过多的照片。来到海口,我把我的车子外胎和链条,飞轮全部换新,为下面的旅行作准备。环完海南岛之后,我在海口把自行车保养了一下,把有些不用的行李寄回了家,成功减负,为我接下来的行程做准备!由于在海口遇到台风,未能及时买到去广西北海的船票,所以在海口多待了一天,在邮政寄行李的时候遇到了骑友小杨(健身教练),小杨也是资深骑友,骑自行车好多年,对海口也非常熟悉,晚上他带我们沿着海口的海岸线骑行,感受海风带给我们的清爽。2013年4月7日,终于买上了去北海的船票,我们五个人同行踏上了前往北海的船,上了船才知道,船上有好多骑友与背包客,都是“同道中人”,大家聊的热火朝天。 4月8日早上,本想早起看日出呢,没想到天空却飘起了小雨,日出是看不到啦!我们结伴五个骑友一起出发,广西的旅行正是开始啦! 我们早上骑行来到传说中的北海银滩,还从来没有见过这么漂亮的沙滩,洁白、细腻的沙滩会泛出银光,这里海天相连,波涛滚滚,一望无际,令人如入仙境,心旷神怡,流连忘返。 在前往东兴的路上,我们遇到了加拿大骑友Darren, 同是骑友,大家都感觉无比亲切。经过沟通才晓得,Darren也是要去东兴的,他要经过东兴口岸到越南去,因而我们下午就结伴一起走啦!我们一起来到东兴,周叔骑行比较快,已经帮我们订好了房间。Darren的座驾,在深圳买的新的。 到东兴后,发现东兴有好多山地车专卖店,听说车子是从越南走私过来的,不晓得是真是假。不过看起来很不错,Darren要去车店买链条油,但是店家却不懂英文,我只好当翻译啦!到了店里跟老板聊了大半天,店老板特别佩服Darren的勇气和毅力。最后给了Darren一个很好的价格。老板还建议我们从越南北线走,那段路风景又漂亮,又可以体验异国风情。吃晚饭的时候,经过商量,我们几个骑友决定尽下地主之谊,请Darren吃晚餐。聊天才晓得,Darren今年50岁啦,一辈子也未婚未育。他是把房子车子都卖了,才出来自行车旅行。他说,自行车旅行能够更好的体验当地的风土人情,能够让你与大自然亲密接触,自行车旅行能够让他以最小的花销走最多的地方,带他到达他想去的每一个角落,还可以锻炼身体。他的目是自行车环游世界。在此之前,他已经从伦敦出发,骑行欧亚大陆来到中国,已经走过一万多公里啦!听他讲完,我们佩服的五体投地,不是每个驴友都能抛下一切去旅行的,这需要多么大的勇气和毅力呀! 能够认真地做自己喜欢的事情,当真是不可多得的幸福,一旦这样,我们便可以把一切令我们不安与恐惧的事情拒之门外,只要能够改变自己身边的一方小小天地,用执着的态度坚持不懈地耕耘它,便是肉眼凡胎如我的一切芸芸众生存在的理由、自信的来源,与坚定的依持。 4月10号一大早我们送DARREN从东兴口岸进了越南,但是我们都没有彼此的联系方式,就跟DARREN分开了!经过商量,我和周叔决定走越南北线,从东兴口岸入境,经过下龙湾,海防,河内,从中国河口出境。我们一拍即合,马上联系旅行社办了越南的证。证速度也快,只需要一天就可以办下来,费用400元。秦叔也让家人把护照顺丰了过来,但还是比我们晚了2天。我和周叔4月11号早上在东兴口岸兑换了越南盾,想着只在越南待10来天, 我自己兑换了900元的越南盾,就匆匆过海关啦!好黑的越南海关,每个关口都收钱,一共3个关口,一共收了150块人民币。结果到后来我们问了当地人才知道,这些钱根本不用给的。东兴与越南芒街只是相隔一条河,中国的手机在芒街也是可以使用。到越南第一件事就是换了手机卡,越南当地大部分人不会英文也不会中文,我们只好用手比划进行沟通。本想继续向前赶路,不料下起雨来,我跟周叔就找了一家家庭旅馆住下,环境还不错!住下之后,我们出去逛了下去寻找当地的美食,其实物价跟国内价格是差不多,一碗粉8-10元,水果也和国内价格差不多,并没有传说中的便宜。 我们早早的在芒街住下了,准备明天出发到下龙湾。晚上无聊,就把自己换的200多万越南盾拿来拍照发微博,之后就把money和手机都装在腰包里就睡觉啦!却不想,第二天早上起来,发现我的手机和200多万越南盾全部不见了。谁能料想这些东西会在这样的家庭旅馆自己丢失呢!这可是我10天的全部费用哦!难不成是昨天拿手机给老板看翻译,他瞄上了我的手机,还是房间内装有监控,我们不得而知。我急忙告诉周叔,他检查了一下他的东西都在,幸好我的sony微单在一个角落里充电,还在。没想到到越南第一天竟遇上这种事情,于是下楼找老板理论了半天,由于语言不通,老板用干巴巴的中文说我们没关窗户,是我们自己的责任。说是只愿意赔偿我200RMB, 要我们不要报警,说报警一分钱也没有。在这样的异国他乡,我们也不晓得该怎么办啦!出去逛了一圈,找到当地的派出所,虽然这里和中国只有一河之隔,却不想没一个人懂中文或英文。晕!只好作罢!谁叫咱在国外呢,想来如果这种事情在国内也很难说个清楚。幸好国内手机在这里还有信号,我就借来周叔的手机,装上自己的电话卡,给准备到越南来的秦叔打了电话,让他帮我多换一千左右的越南盾。要不还真不小的接下来怎么走。当天既然没走成,我和周叔只好去压马路啦!却不想在逛街再一次遇到加拿大骑友Darren,本以为他已经走了好几天了,没想到他也还在这里。好兴奋,我们来了一个大大的拥抱,这这种情况下,真是不是亲人胜似亲人。我们一起买水果吃,Darren买的好甜好甜的菠萝蜜,顿时洗去了我丢失手机的阴影。我们一起吃的晚餐,越南粉。挺特别的,可以加好多青菜,蛮好吃!在这里还认识了一个意大利驴友。大家都聊得很high。我们约好第二天一起等到秦叔再一起出发前往下龙湾。 旅行的美感,往往存在于和我们平常生活犹如遥隔天海般的巨大反差之中。那些快乐的,悲伤的,都成为我们永久的记忆。4月13日早上,我,周叔,Darren一起去口岸接了秦叔,大家一起上路了。秦叔已经60多岁啦!他是一位只是渊博的学者,喜欢专研政治。他也是资深自行车爱好者, 平时也加入自行车俱乐部,他的目是骑行穿越西藏。 我们沿着越南海岸线一路南下,风景秀丽无比,山水田园,想着当地人的生活无不惬意。我们骑行两天就到达了下龙湾,一个被称为“水上桂林”的地方。风景确实美如画,真正置身其中,你才真正能体会到什么叫做身在画中游。越南粉 我们沿着越南海岸线一路南下,风景秀丽无比,山水田园,想着当地人的生活无不惬意。我们骑行两天就到达了下龙湾,一个被称为“水上桂林”的地方。风景确实美如画,真正置身其中,你才真正能体会到什么叫做身在画中游。下龙湾海景 沿着下龙湾一路往东,沿途都是喀斯特地貌。很美。由于中午天气太热,我们就在路边休息,顺便把洗的未干的衣服拿出来晾一晾。听秦叔讲了好多共济会的事情。想不到他居然会研究如此多的东西,学问如此之大,不亚于名校大学教授级别。佩服啊!突然发现越南的女人都非常的能干,一个普通妇女都能干这么重的活,也许都是生活所迫吧! 晚上到达下龙湾,我和Darren约好去逛一下市区。海防的夜晚宁静,清凉。非常安静的美!我和Darren还在广场看到一尊雕像,Darren非说是菩萨,而对我们亚洲人来说,一看便知那时一名将军。海防的夜晚是那么的静谧! 夜色中的海防,有小情侣在拍照!还有越南非常好吃的甜品饮料,一份折合人民币三块钱,我和Darren一人吃了两份!好好吃!怀念中! 因为这尊雕塑,我们僵持半天,我们问了路边的一对小夫妻,他们告诉我们说那是他们那里很有名的一名将军,是她保卫着当地人民的幸福生活。不聊天不晓得,这对小夫妻女孩是中国广西人,之前在越南教中文,男孩是他的学生,男孩对女孩展开疯狂追求,于是就有了这么一段美好浪漫的跨国恋。 4月16日,我们从海防骑行到越南首都河内。路上来往的车辆挺多的,下午我们早早的就到达了河内。河内的发展感觉跟中国的二三线城市差不多,特别多的电动车和摩托车。在闹市区,也有特别多的欧洲的背包客汇聚于此,热闹非凡!这里是越南首都的志性地表,相当于中国的天安门级别的! 越南的很多古建筑,寺庙都跟来源于中国,因而在那里能够看到很多的汉字诗文。 在越南休整了一天,我们就依依不舍的跟Darren告别,因为他要往南骑行到南越,而我们却要往北回国。从河内往回走的路上,风光依旧秀丽无比,时而有起伏比较大的长坡,这些对我来说都没问,但秦叔却有些吃不消,一爬坡就大喘气。我只好在后面等他。没想到周叔骑行太快,竟然与我们走散了。在这样的异国他乡,周叔没有手机,没有地图,不懂越语,我们就此失去了联系。 就这样,后来的三天回国路,我担心了周叔整整三天三夜,晚上也睡不好觉,不晓得周叔自己能不能回去。我跟秦叔每天都在路边休息等周叔两个小时,却依旧没能等到他!在越南的最后一天, 秦叔非要请我吃饭,瞧瞧我们的最后一餐,还挺丰盛的,但是量太大了,我们只好打包走! 怀着忐忑不安的心情,我们终于来到了越南老街,而对岸就是云南河口啦!好兴奋,终于回国来,感觉无比亲切,还是中国好! 一到中国,我就迫不及待的给周叔打电话,但是还是一直打不通,想来他应该还在越南吧!到了河口,我们把剩余没用的越南盾换回人民币,便继续往前赶路啦!本以为往前20公里左右就有住的地方,但是我们一直沿着边境线骑行,河对岸就是越南,前不着村,后不着店,眼看天就黑了下来,我们只好打着手电继续赶路,越往前走我的心里越发忐忑不安,秦叔说这一带是走私贩毒特别严重的地带,这么晚骑行很不安全。我的心里害怕极了。幸好路上来往还有一些大货车,我的心里稍许平静了一些。走了好久,漆黑一片,在这伸手不见五指的黑夜,我和秦叔只好硬着头皮往前走,值得安慰的是秦叔带的“护身工具”挺齐全的,我一直嘲笑他带那么多的东西,现在想来说不定还真有用到的时候。秦叔带的锁链一直拴在腰间,手里还握着手电电警棍。他让我不要骑得离他太远。这个时刻,我也只有心理默念,祈祷我们的车子千万不要出问啊! 又过了好久,我们到了一个兵站,兵哥哥告诉我们前面5公里左右就有住的地方了,我们的心才算平静了下来。 到国内两天之后,周叔的电话终于打通了,原来他真的走错了路,翻了两座大山,每天都好几罐8264,一路往北,终于到达了中国的一个小边境口岸,我悬着的心终于松下来了!与小杨和小顾联系上之后,我们大家决定在元阳汇合。然后一起去西双版纳。4月21日,我们开始前往元阳方向的骑行,由于都是盘山公里,秦叔可能有些吃不消,他说我们跟小杨小顾汇合之后,就我们三个一起骑,他速度太慢了,要我们不要等他。他自己单骑能力很强的。我们顺理成章的跟他们在元阳汇合。卖香蕉的阿姨!小顾也要感受下背篓的分量!瞧瞧小杨,肌肉还是挺发达的呢!([]
2009年9月28日 早上5点多就起了床,匆匆去赶民航班车。乘坐845的CZ3682航班,1130到贵阳,在机场问了一下去荔波的航班,已经飞走了,于是彻底打消了飞荔波的念头。到延安西路客车站坐上下午100去荔波的长途车。 上次做长途旅行已经是去年国庆节的事了,那次去的是广西。一年之后再次出行,心中不免兴奋。虽然不是高速公路,但路况还不错,6个小时的车程竟未觉得十分疲劳。一进入荔波就看到了碧绿的樟江,荔波城区就是沿着樟江而建的,可以说樟江是荔波的母亲河。我们住的溪桥宾馆就在樟江边,离长途车站也只有几步路。荔波是一个新鲜而精致的小城,与我想象中的山中小镇的样子完全不同,可能近年旅游业的兴起已经使荔波发生了巨变。 在长途车上结识了两位旅伴,她们也是结伴从北京来荔波玩的。我们一起去不远处的茂兰旅游接待中心咨询了在荔波的日程安排,并订下了后天去茂兰的包车。之后,我们步行去美食街,中途在路边的大概叫月亮小吃的小馆吃了一碗牛肉粉。想不到,吃过米粉竟然饱了,原本要吃荔波烤鱼的,也只好做罢,留待明天了。不过,美美的喝了一碗杨梅汤,很爽。 2009年9月29日 今天的行程是小七孔和大七孔。到荔波之前,以为玩大、小七孔都是要包车的,其实大可不必。在长途车站有很多车到这两个景点,方便极了。 小七孔景区范围很大,要想在一天内把主要景点看完,必须乘坐电瓶车。电瓶车的第一站就是小七孔桥。这是一座建于清道光年间的古桥,石块砌成,桥的规格并不大,中有七孔,因此被称作小七孔桥,小七孔景区也是因此桥而得名的。 小七孔桥把一带碧水分割开来,桥身在宁静的水中投下倒影,四周树木繁茂,是个极其幽静的所在。 桥头的一棵枯树有半截身子在水中,枝条扭曲着,遒劲有形,愈发为这处景观增添了几许古朴。 小七孔景区最重要的景观就是水,各种形态、各种颜色的水。 从小七孔桥沿溪边小路西行,不久就到了拉雅瀑布。拉雅瀑布从山上倾泻而下,汇入响水河,响水河在这一带从高到低形成68级叠水,叠水、瀑布相呼应,千姿百态,很好看。 从这里向上,一共有68级叠水,不过,只有一直沿着响水河走上去才能都看到。 这是68级叠水的一部分,那水极清澈,从高处一层一层地跌落下来,仿佛有说不尽的欢乐。 这就是拉雅瀑布,水被山岩和灌木撕扯成千丝万缕。 从侧面看叠水。 小七孔景区里到处都是瀑布,形态各异。水会为风景增添灵气,此说不谬,小七孔就因水而充满了灵动之气。 这是个不知名的小瀑布。 所谓叠水,其实就是成群的小瀑布。 游览路线一直沿着响水河向上,把68级瀑布都看过,就到了第二个电瓶车停靠点,电瓶车把游人送到下一个景点:水上森林。水上森林属湿地景观,从电瓶车停靠点到水上森林要穿过一片密密的竹林。 在灌木丛中发现了一条蛇,看它身上彩色的斑纹,很可能是有毒的。 水边的丛林里有这种美丽的花,它有一个非常罗曼蒂克的名字,叫曼珠莎华。 美丽的野花在水边尽情开放,伴着潺潺流水,丝毫不感寂寞。 两只蜻蛉落在水边的树叶上,仿佛在接受检阅。 随处可见结了这种果实的灌木,不知道是什么。 茂密的树木扎根在流水里,根系抱定水下的岩石,形成了奇特的水上森林。这是植物为适应多地表水的地理环境所具有的特性。 生物多样化几乎是所有湿地的共同特征。我虽不懂生物学,但也随手拍下一些照片。 全身蓝色的蜻蜓。 蓝头红尾的蜻蜓。 又一种不同的蜻蜓。还有好多种呢,不过有的特别警觉,不易接近;还有的只飞不落,所以不易拍到。 一只花蝴蝶。 这种蝴蝶好象比较少见,身后拖着长长的尾巴。 又一处小瀑布 水生植物极其丰富,典型的湿地景观。 走出湿地,坐上电瓶车,下一站是卧龙潭。 “哇!”第一眼望见卧龙潭,我不由得叫出声来,太美了,美得不可思议!如果不是以前去过九寨沟,恐怕不敢相信,现实中真的有这样美丽的景致吗?难怪,贵州人自称小七孔可以与九寨沟相媲美。我是2003年去的九寨沟,那时的九寨沟在旅游旺季已经是人满为患了,小七孔毕竟还没有那么喧嚣,再说,现在是国庆前夕,还没到游客最多的时候,我们可以在欣赏美景的同时享受一分宁静。 耳边只是瀑布的轰鸣,那是自然之声。 潭,蓝得幽深;瀑,白得耀眼。 卧龙潭和瀑布是由于一道弧形的人工坝拦截了响水河而形成的。 微风拂过卧龙潭,水面波光鳞鳞,煞是好看。 看,这象不象是一只深邃的眼睛! 卧龙潭是小七孔景区的最精华,水在这里变成了令人难以置信的蓝色。潭的四周,林木幽深,仿佛隐藏着许多秘密。([]
久居城市,越发的对蓝天白云的向往。宅之甚久,越发的对原野高山的期待。自小生活在黑龙江的我,对雪是很喜欢的。喜欢在下雪的时候仰起头看着天上的雪花飘落,轻轻盈盈,飘飘洒洒,一片一片,看似飞翔,却在坠落。远处的雪,像似一个整体,如电影镜头中的慢动作一般,慢慢的落下。常常是一夜间雪已经半尺厚。整个冬季的雪是不化的,不像现在所在的城市,雪落地就化,一点也没有下雪的味道与乐趣!于是冬季去太白看雪,成为了此次出行的目的。这次太白之行成为约伴人,纯属偶然。原本的我只想跟着一只不要在元旦时间去太白的队伍,队伍确定的时间为一月6号--9号太白穿越时间。由于人数一只不够,所以我在8264上面代发了约伴贴。最后原本确定的队伍只剩我,彩色沙漠,安吉儿三人。幸好最后又加入了悠然云行,卧街,南丐,点星,以及临行前加入的阿龙,至此队伍人数达到此行的上限8人。徒步新疆喀纳斯大环线,与美女同行的23天里,逃不掉的美景(路书装备清单)1楼流浪川藏线的精彩,准备周全然后随遇而安 不一样的风景,不一样的人今年夏天,游走鼓浪屿,我与美女同行。太白南南线费用明细:1、西安至周至车费17.5*8=140元;2、周至至厚畛子包车费500元;3、厚畛子午餐47元;4、铁甲树门票100元;5、向导费150*4=600元;6、将军碑至厚畛子包车300元;7、厚畛子晚餐51元;8、厚畛子至西安包车费用800元 金杯车11座,李师傅,电话:15929989678合计:140+50+47+100+600+300+51+800=2538元收入300*8=2400元,每人补交17.25元 此明细由会计 点星 提供,再次感谢由于大家出发地不同,所以费用只是计算8人一起同行时,西安出发-回到西安的费用。于6号早上6点整到达西安站,此次车很搞笑,我在郑州等车时晚点15分钟发车,到达西安却提前了17分钟!还没下火车重庆的南丐电话我说他们在火车站对面的汽车站等我,出站后直奔汽车站,电话,寻人,见到南丐南丐,会很多驴歌的老驴,体力非常好,背了很多腐败物资。对于这次出行一直在担任收队,非常辛苦。本来这个收队是我要做的,没想到南丐一人任劳任怨的收了四天队。我怀着敬仰之心,佩服之意,围着MM转去了,嘿嘿。大家跟南丐学了三首驴歌,其中一首“革命军人个个要老婆,你要我要哪来那么多,表现好的发一个,表现不好发个老太婆 不一会来自温州的卧街也到了,他的火车晚点1小时,本来应该5点多一点到,结果比还晚……卧街一句老娘跟你拼了,表现出独有的幽默感,学驴歌时又表现出惊人的创作力,"表现不好全都留给我”我想对你说"兄弟,注意身体啊。”看似瘦弱,实则是背着全队伍最大的背包OSPREY新月85L。不过重量不是很高,主要是他那3公斤重的棉睡袋体积惊人,不过后来那天下山后把睡袋友情价出给向导了,温州人果然会做生意。我辈学习的榜样因为在街上看别人的女朋友,所以“卧街”了,这是我对于他名字的好奇,要求他自我解释由来所得。 南丐买了7点钟开往周至的客车票每张17.5元,进候车厅后又见到阿龙,点星,同样和南丐一样来自重庆 他们三人是此次队伍唯一出行前就已熟识的。阿龙,腐败至极,居然背着黄瓜到大爷海炖汤喝,苍天啊,口水。最后一天一直走在前面。在第一天的营地游戏中,和彩色沙漠调换位置后,体验出果然是风水问,坐在那准出错。 点星,女侠一样的人物,(安吉儿和彩色沙漠这么说)此次出行的会计。为我们总结出泡妹妹20条,泡哥哥若干条,如有需要请致电139**********。不知道点星是否得知自己女侠称号,为了证明自己,在下到大爷海的时候从雪坡上直接飞身下去,看的我目瞪口呆,心跳加快,竟然端着相机都忘记拍下这英勇的一刻,只在她最后停住身形的时候才反应过来拍了一张!随后悠然云行,彩色沙漠,安吉儿三人也到了,他们三人是提前一天到西安的,却是我最后见到的三位。悠然云行,早在他空间见过照片,没想到见过本人后,是越看越帅。个子很高,据某人说,“他太长了”呃,是睡在三合宫通铺上的帐篷里,头都伸到帐篷外了,哈哈。带了好多煎饼,很好吃。彩色沙漠,一位带着花边眼镜框的美女。为什么说是眼镜框,因为是没有镜片的,直到在周至包车去往厚眕子的路上我才发现!此次出行的出纳,开心果,玩游戏时为一个兔子的笑话叫大家笑到肚子痛,让大家怀疑是智商问还是风水问。我想智商肯定没问,要不大家的钱途不保啊!安吉儿,可爱的长沙美女,谋杀我相机快门数最多的人。相机总是为美女与美景而生。看似柔弱,走起来缺一点都不落后,虽然有点小感冒,吃过药后依旧活蹦乱跳惹人爱,年轻真好!我,来自郑州(黑龙江人)本次的约伴人。前窜后窜围着MM转,登顶那天自已一个人提前跑上去了,结果被风吹感冒了。由于恐高,没敢在拔仙台海拔志那留下自己的身影,只拍照片走人……坐上发往周至的班车,车上是不需要对号入座的,找了一位美女边上坐下了,经过两个小时20分到达周至大转盘附近。下车,先联系向导,您拨的用户已关机!!!崩溃,怎么关机了,赶快打另外一个手机号,还是关机,有点晕,早就说好了6号来联系焦花,他居然关机了。我赶紧打给朋友叫他查查他们元旦出行向导谢忠林的电话,结果打过后还是关机。这时我想起我还有焦花家的宅电,这回联系上了,原来是他们那的信号塔坏了手机不能用,虚惊一场。要知道我们可都是没去过太白的,没有想到可怎么走的成。接下来包车到厚眕子,最后找了一辆11座的金杯车,500元。 一路盘山,海拔拔升,车子稳稳的行驶在108国道上。时而一侧悬崖,一侧溪谷,峭壁上凝结着流水冻结成的冰挂冰瀑,甚是好看。到达厚眕子在中午12点左右,向导的儿子早早的在街道口等我们。先吃饭,悠然云行,彩色沙漠,安吉儿三人早饭还没有吃呢,已经中午了。每人一碗热气腾腾的面条,像似河南的烩面,南丐吃的是炒米。很实惠,8个人一共花了47元。小样,你捧着两碗为啥最后自己的一碗还没吃光!要辣椒!我是重庆来的这碗是我的,我以风卷残云之势,狼吞虎咽之型,一扫而光。饭后商量进山路线,原定都督门上,没有车过去。最后商定从铁甲树上去,穿越时间为6号下午,7号8号9号三整天,10号半天时间出山,为的是不用每天匆匆忙忙赶路,可以一路欣赏美景拍照,可结果腐败未遂……。8人门票100(原价60,这个向导可以和管理员商量我们去的时间也不是旺季,所以费用较少)。出发了 从厚眕子到铁甲树还有4公里的路,后来想想,完全可以叫周至的包车等我们吃完饭给我们送到景区门口的,没经验,没办法,希望给再去的朋友提个醒,不必走这4公里的冤枉路。很好看14:50分到达铁甲树,拍照留念,树上挂满了不只是为了祈福爱情还是平安的红布条,不知这一棵树能否承受。嗯,我可不可以偷偷的把我的祈福加注在这条红布上。继续前行,过了2个吊索桥,至三合宫扎营的路上承载着沉重的脚步与快乐的心情,看着匆匆的过客,与那桥下潺潺的流水,何人为我驻足,分享岁月的感伤。之后又过了N个水泥独木桥。上面尽是雪化成的冰,还好并不滑。 走一会,休息下。积雪17点左右到达营地,三合宫接待站,有现成的通铺,大家可以不必把帐篷扎在雪地下,接待站平时是要收费的,通铺每人60,扎帐篷帐篷每顶30!还好我们去的时候他们人都不在,省了费用。营地旁边就是溪水,上面有洞的冰层有10公分厚,取水口还挺大。生火做饭,第一顿,速食米饭,腊肠。我和安吉儿,彩色三人一起吃。速度最快的悠然云行,带的好吃的煎饼。人才的卧街,把米饭煮成稀饭,稀饭煮成米饭,我听了差点喷饭。不过还好我懂得浪费粮食等于犯罪,及时悬崖勒马。我的帐篷,太大,接待站的通铺扎不下,棚子内的地上全是土,很脏,所以我扎到了外面的雪地上,同样,卧街也扎到了雪地上。晚饭后大家玩游戏,学驴歌。几个人围在火堆旁,玩着南丐的“一只青蛙跳下水,咚”几个人每人说一个字,一圈无错误,下一圈加青蛙的只数和声音数。谁出错谁表演节目,很好玩,很搞笑,笑到内伤。至睡觉时八点半,因第二天6点半要起床赶路。晚上帐篷内温度最低-3.2℃,用手表测的。早起时,睡袋外层有一层水珠,不知道是不是自己的汗水偷到外层凝结成的,帐篷内帐外帐上倒是没有发现凝霜。7号一早6点半,向导早早的喊大家起床,还真守时。收账,打水,生火,做饭,出发,8点整。我和彩色沙漠发现有零星的雪花,其他人认为是树上吹落。在路上,有些树木北大学无情的压折,挡住去路,只能低头穿过或绕行。热,脱,快来看美女脱衣服!姐脱的不是衣服,是热。这是哪位?猜猜看行不多时,天空飘起了雪花,近看匆忙坠地,远看徐徐飘落。五指张开,触及雪花,那原本看似可以摸到的,却悠然的转身远去,只有那不期而至的缠绵。不一会地面上就已发白了大家对这场雪都很感兴趣,很兴奋天网恢恢疏而不漏是否指的就是这般景像?今天的路线是三合宫-南天门,海拔上升1800多米比较辛苦,途中路过3片石海今天的路线是三合宫-南天门,海拔上升1800多米比较辛苦,途中路过3片石海([]
最遥远的背影 ----狼塔C+V线徒步日志 文/图苏格拉底麦穗 注:如果只想浏览主贴,请先点击“只看该作者”即可浏览连续主帖。 注:如果只想浏览主贴,请先点击“只看该作者”即可浏览连续主帖。 注:如果只想浏览主贴,请先点击“只看该作者”即可浏览连续主帖。狼塔来历: 狼塔之路是穿越北天山最为漫长和危险的徒步线路。它起始于位于北疆昌吉回族自治州的呼图壁河大峡谷,由北向南翻越五座近4000米的达坂后到达南疆巴音郭楞蒙古自治州的和静县巴伦台,全程徒步距离约120公里。呼图壁河发源于河源峰,在当地哈萨克语中,河源峰被称为狼塔,意为有群狼守护的塔山。河源峰海拔高度5290米,山势陡峭,型如尖塔。狼塔C线正是穿越这一地区的一条高危徒步线路。狼塔C线穿越需要翻越冰山隘口、横渡激流、行走空中栈道、穿越草原、森林…风景绝美而又惊险刺激、集巍峨壮美的天山风光之大成。在新疆户外,狼塔C线被评为难度和风景最高的8级,是目前已知的最艰苦的徒步线路之一。在后山一百多公里的无人区里,森林茂密、遮天蔽日;奇花异草、闻所未闻。这里是狼、棕熊、雪豹、野猪、北山羊、盘羊、雪鸡等野生动物的乐园,更是富有探险精神的山友们的向往之地。线路简介:新疆北天山狼塔C+V徒步重装穿越新疆昌吉市(起点)--呼图壁白杨沟煤矿--白杨沟达坂—-台普希马克河--库勒阿特腾阿苏达坂----尔特兰塔河----蒙特开曾达坂----哈拉哈提达坂----古仁郭勒村----乌兰达坂----夏热达坂----绿湖----乌拉布图达坂----天格尔达坂----头屯河峡谷——乔楞格尔达坂----农大林场----昌吉市(终点)活动日期:2013年9月24日09时----10月4日16时领队:(新疆)清风(C线)(新疆)树OO(V线)(新疆)豆浆(V线) 队员简介(C+V报名队友): 封子(女浙江杭州)米诺克斯(江苏苏州)小伍(河南郑州)笨鸟(广东东莞)一休他哥(上海)苏格拉底麦穗(山东烟台) 序向天山深处的狼塔致敬 当我站在白杨沟达坂的垭口上,贪婪地向天山深处远眺,历经数百万年岁月形成的苍凉地貌,浩瀚壮阔,恍若风雷激荡,浩浩汤汤﹑奔涌而来......举头仰望,变幻诡谲的云朵,在湛蓝的天幕中,舒展着变幻多姿的风情,令人心醉神迷。灿烂千阳下,我结识了众多如我一样酷爱户外探险的朋友----他们或只身独行,或结伴而来,把动魄惊魂的淋漓汗水,撒在了这片遍布孤寂的大地上﹔把刻骨铭心的跋涉经历,化为人生记忆的底片,精心珍藏。 有人说,如果你爱一个人,带他(她)走狼塔吧,因为这里有天堂般的绝佳风景;如果你恨一个人,带他(她)走狼塔吧,因为这里有炼狱般的艰难行走......其实,天堂炼狱也好,情仇爱恨也罢,在我看来,一个人只要喜爱户外,或多或少都会在梦境中与狼塔结缘;一个人只要热衷探险,或早或晚都会行进在这条线路上----不管您是新疆本地人,还是来自遥远的国度 。雪峰千岁,白云万代,狼塔因你我到来而生机勃发;我们因穿越经历而悲欣交集...... 说狼塔是一条风景独好的经典户外线路,绝不是溢美夸张之辞。尔特兰塔河的冰冷刺骨,长空栈道的横切峭壁,河源主峰的直刺苍穹,库拉阿苏腾阿苏达坂的漫卷长风,绿湖湖畔的风轻云淡,哪一处不是狼塔线路的精彩华章?群山之巅的怒放雪莲,乌兰达坂的离离原草,沉静挺拔的雪岭云杉 ,高山植被的花团锦簇,天格尔峰的冰清玉洁,哪一点不是天山的浓情馈赠? 大自然的风光旖旎,尽收眼底,内心的点滴感悟也一样历历在目......一路走来,我收获了永志难忘的生死之交----中途小憩时的一杯热茶一个苹果,风雪漫天时的一句关爱叮咛,足以拉近几天前还是素不相识的队友间的心理距离;惊险路段的一次友善援手,愁云惨雾中的一回守候,慢慢褪去了每个人在都市里为了打拼生存蒙在脸上的种种面具……一种无法名状的力量在悄无声息地击中每个人的软肋,这正是当下社会中失散已久,可望不可即的无价真情!在这条交替着绝望希望,更迭着秀美蛮荒,弥散着英豪气息的雄关漫道上,残阳如血、乱云飞渡、骏马飞驰、金鹰翱翔。----这是天地间最宏大的舞台。远离尘世喧嚣,在不断行走中沉淀灵魂的你我,正是剧中的主角! 本来静默无声的狼塔线路,缘何在短短几年内声名鹊起,吸引海内外的驴友纷至沓来,一路行摄,激扬文字?是因为天时、地利、人和。狼塔虽处天山,交通却并不闭塞;呼图壁、和静县民风淳朴;户外领队大度豪迈,真诚坦荡,敢于担当,这已经积淀为这条线路的一种文化!热情、开朗、勇敢、善良----正是这样的领队人格魅力,留住了山南海北“狼塔迷”的心。 狼塔是户外探险爱好者心驰神往的线路,还在于旅途中渗透了人性中最朴素的追求----对生活的热爱,对绝美景致的不懈追寻,对艰难险阻的奋勇攻克,对友情的倍加珍视......这种精神底蕴,仿佛台普希马克河的湍急涡流,甘甜清冽,奔涌不息;仿佛根植在脑海深处的一粒种子,花开叶散,馥郁芬芳...... 我不是新疆人,但我对有“户外天堂”美誉之称的新疆山水情有独钟。如果把狼塔线路比作一位身在远方的老友,这位朋友神情冷峻﹑目光深沉﹑胸怀博大﹑背影伟岸。在路上,我和你,曾经挥汗如雨,曾经爱恨交加,曾经仰天长啸,他都在天山深处默默看在眼里----我在天格尔达坂静思,我在尔特兰塔河谷冥想,我在绿湖晨曦中泪涌,我在夏热牧场暮色里自语......很遗憾,十年前,我无缘结识狼塔线路的开拓者王铁男与杨春风,与他们同闯天山路;很幸运,十年后,我没有错过狼塔C+V,追随后来探险者的坚实背影,紧跟他们的稳健步履,感受铿锵心跳,并肩走过浩荡澎湃的户外岁月! 狼塔,你敞开怀抱融化了我,你轻捻指尖揉碎了我,你鼓动风云卷走了我,你掀起波澜淹没了我...... 一路行进,我感叹着脚下的蜿蜒长路,穿行湮没在达坂河谷的碎石深处;一路行进,我遥望着天边的暮云晓月,行者的决心与气概在胸膛燃烧;一路行进,我凝视着烟云蒸腾的雪域群峰,真切无言的心声一次次在心底难以阻遏地奔涌...... 再回首,狼塔线路不仅仅是一次对户外行者体能和经验的检阅,更是对人生态度和心理的审视与锤炼!狼塔线路,绝不是一条坦荡如砥的通天大道,而是一段跌宕起伏,坎坷崎岖的二百公里暴虐山路。那高耸陡峭的雪峰达坂,那寒彻冰冷的激流,依然时常在我的梦境中浮现......十一个跋山涉水,追风饮尘的日日夜夜啊!即使进入人生暮年,我依然回味不尽你的光荣与梦想,由衷感叹你的壮怀挚情。我可能忘记一路走来的山川地名,可能忘记每一次艰苦登攀的细枝末节,但挑战自我、命悬一线的拼搏挣扎将永志于心! 坦率地说,一次户外深度探险并不能彻底改变个体生命当下生存发展轨迹的既有走向,但,艰难跋涉之后的深刻感怀,却能够改变一个人的生活态度。晨曦朝阳里,走在路上,我破茧成蝶,展翅欲飞......已经成为过往的狼塔C+V线路的成功穿越,必将化作一枚明镜,永远照耀着我的灵魂!狼塔,你把背影留给了我,我却把自己留给了你。 冲破苦难,拥抱凯旋。----人生无处不登山…… 是为序。向天山深处的狼塔致敬! 第一章 身未动,心已远。 又见中秋。胶东地区,夜色澄澈。明月似一道孤独盛宴在天宇中恭候着我的赴会。不知从何时起,我发自内心地躲闪着一些中国传统节日的莅临。中国人用富有特色的发散思维把包括亲情在内的各种正常,非正常人际交往装进了大同小异的节日“箩筐”,在一种拉拉扯扯﹑眉来眼去﹑颔首不语中,中秋节早就失去了固有的静穆深沉,转而变得喧哗热闹起来。用十岁儿子的话说,“现在八月十五,谁还吃月饼啊!” 我在家中独自做着出征狼塔前最后的打点,虽然硕大的行囊事先已经被拆装了N次。----本是一个做事循规蹈矩的理工男,我甚至为了此次出行画了好几回的定置管理图。 上午,宋老师领着儿子回娘家过节了。多年的夫妻,已经让此时所有的叮咛变得多余,虽然她发自内心地不理解我的这次出行。送走娘俩,按照往常一样,我照旧不依不饶地在跑步机,健身器材上保质保量地自虐了一回!筋疲力尽后,我站在浴室喷头下,大口大口喘着粗气,回念父母亲此刻在身处他乡的小弟家中团聚,陡然生出几分孤单情绪。索性放开水阀,泪水﹑汗水一并簌簌流下,我知道,一年的“大考”,终于近在眼前,狼塔,我来了! 节日的车站冷冷清清,还是有好事者嗅出了我的行装诡异,主动走上前来,不咸不淡地东拉西扯。和几天前送行的好友一样,路人感言,兄弟,从黄海之滨烟台到西域边陲,迢迢万里,太远了吧?我莞尔一笑,心头暗想,远的不是新疆,而是说和做之间的距离!月光下,前方路基上的铁轨明灭着一道道清幽的光芒,恰似妻子临出家门时,回望我的深情一瞥。宋祖英演唱的《望月》陡然在心头响起……望着月亮的时候常常想起你望着你的时候就想起月亮世界上最美最美的是月亮比月亮更美更美的是你没有你的日子里我常常望着月亮那溶溶的月色就像你的脸庞月亮抚慰抚慰着我的心我的泪水浸湿了月光月亮在天上我在地上就像你在海角我在天涯月亮升的再高也高不过天你走的多么远也走不出我的思念 第二章 济南1085次列车的故事 非常感谢不知名的车站工作人员七手八脚地帮我把随身携带的大宗物资送进了卧铺车厢。不大的行李架顿时堆满了我的“宝贝”。待我安排消停,列车也徐徐启动了。我像只累趴下的蛤蟆一样,迅速进入了梦乡。 一夜无语。再次睁开眼睛时,车内弥漫着一股好闻的胭脂气味。下铺的两位回家过节的女大学生一边补着淡妆,一边指点着我的装备。济南到了! 经过反复斟酌,我决定在济南把物资减负。一个电话果断通知驻济警官接待站的好友分享了我本来要带到新疆的土特产品。晃晃悠悠地挪出站台,我立刻融化在喧嚣鼎沸的人流之中。 永和豆浆是我早餐的首选。刚刚落座,一位略显丰满的女生身着户外装,大大方方地走了过来,“你好,欢迎来到济南!大哥,您这是要去……?”我局促不安地起立示好,嗫嚅地挤出了两个字“狼塔”。女生来了兴致,眼神中放出了敬意的神采,自我介绍说,“我刚刚从墨脱线出来,敢走狼塔的可都是真汉子啊!大哥,祝你成功。”我心里涌上了一股羞赧之情,暗暗说道,什么汉子啊,哥是留级生,去年被劝退白杨沟达坂的熊样,你是没见过。 吃饱喝足,终于有了兴致扫视站台内外的景致。屈指算来,我这个从巴山蜀水深处走出的异乡人,在齐鲁大地生活,工作即将廿载。今天的济南,早已脱去了印象中内陆都市的羞涩内向,难觅昔日“四面荷花三面柳,一城山色半城湖”的旧城风貌。无孔不入的商品经济,已让这座中国东部省会城市换了容颜,不再朴实敦厚得像城墙一般寡言少语。([]
曾经看到一篇驴友从杭州徒步到丽江的游记,他开头的大意是这样的,我这一辈子就是个打酱油的,我用上半辈子打了一瓶酱油,用后半生提回家,如果这样一辈子的话,我只知道酱油的味道,不知道五味陈杂的味道,所以就辞职上路了。 我十分憧憬羡慕那种自由自在,浪迹天涯的生活,但终究是一个无法突破现实生活的人,我得工作挣钱养活自己,我注定这辈子只能做个打酱油的人。既然浪迹天涯只能是梦想,那就只能在平淡的生活当中为自己找到些许乐趣。每年一次的旅行与我来说,就如同物质贫乏的童年时过年,那时候我就可以有零花钱有好吃的。于是每年我会用半年时间来期盼,用10天的时间来尽情享受,再用半年的时间来回味旅途的点点,这样每年都是很值得回忆的一年。 我和老公是大学同学,结婚时几乎是一无所有,当时的结婚照还是黑白色的,结婚十年时流行婚纱照,我们就作为纪念去重拍了一套,结婚二十年时我们已经开始了每年一次的旅行,于是作为纪念我们去了亚丁和梅里,雪山,溪流,森林,草原成为我们美好回忆。时光荏苒,一晃五年过去了,今年我们已经是银婚了,佛国缅甸行成为我们这次旅行的目的地。 行程8月 8日 乘K337次车(2022)离郑州赴昆明 住火车上8月 9日 走之前犹豫来犹豫去,乘飞机太贵还得加一晚住宿,最终下决心辛苦一点乘火车赴昆明,新闻天天都是台风和水灾,很担心铁路再出现问,晚点赶不上出境的航班,只好提前一天到了昆明。 找到住处,给5年前在香格里拉偶遇的小杨和小纳夫妇打了电话,约好晚上在金马碧鸡坊汇合一起吃晚饭。说起来和他们夫妻可真是缘分,5年前在香格里拉汽车站相遇,一起包车去了梅里,原本他们准备在飞来寺看看雪山就回,结果却在我们的忽悠下,一起去了明永冰川,一起住在西当温泉,又一起进入雨崩村去看神瀑,完全不知户外为何物的他们俩,为进入一个完全不同旅行状态感到非常兴奋,因为他们从来没有住过那么破的旅店。最最悲催的是他们是清真人士,而且是非常非常清真的那种,进入雨崩吃撑了大问,只能吃煮鸡蛋和方便面,正好我们带了一些烤馍片是清真食品,都给了他们。从雨崩出来的第一件事,就是在德钦县城找了一家清真馆子,好好搓了一顿。那时是我们结婚二十年的磁婚之旅,在旅行即将进入尾声时,我们相遇了。 现在5年过去了,我们的银婚之旅的第一站,就见到了他们,真的是一种缘分啊。我想起当年一起去雨崩时,我们结婚二十年,他们十年,还遇上一位叫做平安的杭州小伙子,于是我们就起名三十年平安组合。平安当时因为一些个人原因,辞职去旅行,三个月独自走遍了全国,和我们分手后,就进入西藏,后来是新藏,内蒙,东北。我们都和平安失去联系,想来平安现在一定已经拥有一个美满的家庭,过着幸福的生活吧,遥祝我们这个三十年平安组合家家团圆幸福。 白天我们在昆明市内瞎转悠,无聊第给狗狗拍照;看见卖菜的也上前拍照,问人家那些我们没见过的菜叫什么名字,很被卖菜大婶鄙视了一下,大概觉得我们太没有见识,四体不勤五谷不分吧。五年前的三十年平安组合,最右边是我们俩,中间是小杨两口,最左边是平安,平安旁边的是雨崩的女孩,藏歌唱的让人欢笑,让人流泪。商店街上优雅的小比熊,坐在门前任我们拍照,无视我们的存在昆明的第一次餐,吃的是傣家风味,香茅排骨,烤里脊,烤金针菇,菠萝饭,很是美味茉莉花项链,美丽又美味那些看起来很好看且不熟悉的蔬菜 和小杨约好的6点整,来到金马碧鸡坊。不一会就见小杨带着一个女孩过来了,原来小纳出差了,小杨带着女儿来见我们。特别清真的小杨安排的晚餐地点真的很特别,在一个清真寺里面,院子里有遮阳的木架子还有棚顶,很风凉很舒服,那个环境没有理由就让人喜欢。真的不知道清真寺里还有餐厅呢,和小杨母女聊着天吃着饭,耳边回旋着伊斯兰的经文声,似吟似颂,很好听的。真是一种很好的经历,如果没有领着,真的不可能找到这样的餐厅。 8月11日,我们登上了飞往曼德勒的飞机。和两年前的越南柬埔寨不同,这次的4个人的英文几乎都是幼儿园水平,虽然下了很详细的攻略,但还是有点不安和忐忑。 飞往曼德勒的航程很短,只有1小时十分钟,缅甸和国内的时差却有一个半小时,所以下午2点5分起飞,到曼德勒却是1点多钟。飞机进入平飞状态,空乘发了一杯饮料,就进入了下降状态。 空中的蓝天白云真是美丽,蓝的令人心醉,白的像一团团柔软的棉花。 过云层就看到缅甸的大地展现眼前,那幅图画很眼熟,因为在谷歌地图上已经看了很多次了,我极力辨别着陌生而熟悉的环境,那条大河是伊洛瓦底江,江上有两座桥,桥的一边是曼德勒,一边是实皆古城。可是当时我确实没有看懂那边是市区,那大片的水域令我以为曼德勒发大水了,可疑惑的是并没有这方面的新闻啊,旅途结束再看照片时才弄明白,那大片的水的区域,正是因瓦古城和阿马拉不拉古城所在的位置,甚至沿江通往因瓦渡口的那条林荫大道也清晰可辩。感谢以上各位的欣赏和祝福,我们将继续努力,争取金婚,钻石婚时,依然能携手同行。也祝福各位驴友各自有各自的幸福生活,其实幸福是一件很简单的事情,如同兔子有白菜和萝卜一样。 曼德勒一下飞机就开始体验到缅甸的味道,顺利通过移民局,到了提取行李的转盘前,等了半天不见行李出来。同机的大部分人都是往来中国和缅甸作生意的,最后剩下等行李的不到10个人,基本都是游客。 终于行李出来了,却不是从转盘里出来的,而是几个缅甸人从停机坪的那个门口提着过来的,拿到行李对方就开口要小费,没有缅币,只好给了1美金了事。过海关柜台时需要填写一个申报单,各国的内容都差不多,虽然不是太懂,大概也就是姓名护照号码,有没有不允许带的东西,钱带了多少之类的。 出了海关一进入候机,忽地一下围过来一群人,攻略上说了没有公交,这些人都是出租拉客的,问问价格说是一个人3000K,当时是费了好大劲弄明白,不是3美金,是3000K。候机室里有兑换处,却没有营业的人。拿出攻略指着市区,先说“money change “,然后指着火车站,说“train station”,基本上我们没有囫囵的话,只能是蹦单词,一路上令我最郁闷的就是,缅甸恨不得要饭的都会说英语,而我也算是半个知识分子却完全靠蹦单词,肢体语言以及悟性来搞明白所以事宜。最终老公居然谈妥4个人10000K的价格,比攻略上便宜不少呢,这时碰上一对南宁的夫妇,想和我们拼车,15000K6个人搞定,在后来换钱,买火车票等环节上,英文不错的小龙夫妇给了我们很多的帮助,唯一让我乐不可支的是小龙夫人英语虽然不错,但是数字功夫不怎么地,谈车费时居然把15000K听成50美金,在后来的旅途中,这种误听还有好几次。虽然我没有听懂对方说的数字,但我有攻略上的价格参考,认为那是绝不可能的。 说起来缅甸的司机真有耐心,到市内先把我们带到兑换点,当天的汇率1美金850K,比攻略上还好一点。300美金可以换到255000K,瞬间变成大富翁,都是1000一张的,一大把钱就那么用皮筋一捆,扔到背囊里,钱夹已经完全失去了作用。换完钱发现小龙的千元纸币和我们的不是一个版本,要大出许多,于是又一番折腾各自互换一张作纪念。 紫云在这里受到第一次打击,虽然攻略上说的很明白美金必须是新崭崭的,但是她没太在意,带的美金没有一张没有折痕的,基本上是不给兑换的。 曼德勒一出机场,就看到传说中的男人穿裙子三张变成了这么大一捧 到火车站买火车票多亏了有小龙夫人的帮助,一进站见人依然是一个词“train ticket”,于是对方指着二楼回答了一句什么,应该就是在二楼吧,于是冲上二楼就见一大溜售票口,空无一人,没有买票的。找个里面有人的窗口又是一个词“BAGAN”,对方显然知道这么打扮的人是游客,要去蒲甘,于是说了一堆话,其中我们逮住了一个词“ten”,其余皆没听懂,但已然明白是10号窗口,可是到了10号却没有人,到了另一个窗口问,依然听懂一个“ten”,再看10号窗口已然来了一个秃顶的老头,跟他说去蒲甘,这是小龙夫人来了,我听见她跟那老头说要“first-class”,老头说一个人10美金,我们说可以,老头开始很认真地填写车票,写好车票交钱时,我让紫云先用她那些人家不给兑换的旧美金试试,紫云拿出两张10美金,一张20美金,老头恨不得用放大镜一张张的鉴定,结果是全部不行,有折痕的不行,有污垢的不行,紫云再拿一张换换,还是不行,紫云只好将所有的美金扇面打开让老头挑,最终老头只认可了一张20的,我拿出100的,老头示意没钱找,我们几人面面相觑,认可的没钱找,零的人家嫌旧不收,在攻略上已经知道缅甸不收旧钱,但根本没有引起注意拿了一把旧钱,换不了也花不了的紫云,满脸无奈又无辜,基本上她的美金全用不了,小余的一半用不了,幸亏在昆明又换了一些,昆明银行的人了解缅甸,所以全部给的新钱。这样一来我们俩只有900美金,紫云的基本用不成,小余大概也就是五六百美金能用。这是缅甸给我们上的第一课,旧一点的美金不能用这是真的。最终4个人才算凑起来40美金,前后折腾了快半个小时,才算拿到那张珍贵的纸片,正面是价格和车次,背面是手写的座号。除我们空无一人的售票大厅认真填写火车票的老头和站台,注意那个站台,看起来好像还算正规,等我们出发往蒲甘去的时候才真正见识了缅甸的铁路。事实上收集攻略时就已经知道缅甸的火车很令人惊喜(震惊),但好奇心强的我还是想知道到底震惊到什么程度,一是出于省时间省一晚住宿费用,二是希望能体验缅甸各种交通工具,所以整个旅程中3段长途移动,分别为火车,汽车和飞机,事实上3段中唯一能让我们了解到缅甸老百姓交通状况的只有这趟火车,即使我们坐了头等席,依然是比较惊喜,具体惊喜请关注后续章节 买完火车票终于踏实了,于是和小龙两口一起去找饭店,他们打算先玩曼德勒,而我们想最后玩曼德勒,先去了他们目的花园酒店,结果没房,再去了ET,还是没房,要说那个缅甸司机人真是好,先去换钱,再去买车票,然后是一家家地找酒店,让去哪里就是去哪里毫无怨言,在后来的旅途中的种种经历总结一句话,缅甸人民个个都是活雷锋,只要看到你有困难,立刻会有人上前帮忙,和国内事不关己高高挂起的现状有明显的反差。最终在文豪酒店找到了房间,不过曼德勒的酒店涨价很厉害,根本找不到20美金以下的房间,小龙两口也算踏实了。 也就有了观赏街景的心情。ET酒店,一家经济型酒店,住的人不少,但网评不怎么地,回程住了两晚,感觉一般 缅甸的第一餐是在曼德勒文豪酒店附近的街角大排档进行的,我们4人和刚刚相识的小龙两口一起吃的,一进餐厅就见老公跑到里面放了很多菜品材料的地方,指手画脚的说着什么,很疑惑他怎么看着那么得心应手,似乎没有任何障碍,等他回桌前一问,才知道里面有个女孩能说汉语,东南亚旅行好处就在这里,能够求助的说汉语的人非常多,这也是我们初级境外自助游首选东南亚的原因,难度低成本也低,等东南亚和亚洲基本转完,积累了一定的经验后,再考虑非洲和南美,那里是我的中期目,至于欧洲,澳洲,美国那样的地方等老了再说吧。在急剧全球化的时代,还是先选那些保留了更多原始自然和民俗的地区,已经现代化的地区也变不到那里去 感慨先搁着一下,看看我们的晚餐吧。有鱼有菜有肉,还有鲜榨的各式果汁,尤其是那个菠萝汁特别浓,还有很多未完全打碎的果粒,美味极了。其它的还有木瓜,鲜橙,柠檬等等,这么一餐总共才花了17000多,和一人3000左右,后来的每一餐基本上都是这个准。 饭后离火车发车还有一段时间,几个人就在街上乱转熟悉环境,但是真是没有什么好转的,什么也没有。看见一个小店就进去看看,小龙和小余一人买了一条隆基,在后来的旅行中,小余特别中意那条隆基,时不时打开隆基的扎口晃晃,凉快一下然后再系上。我和紫云还有小龙夫人则买了缅甸人涂在脸上防晒的那种香木粉,然后几个人把自己涂的花猫一般,逗得店家乐不可支。 出了店家看见街头卖槟榔的,拿一种什么树叶子,里面图上白色的石膏装的东西,再放上几颗敲碎的槟榔包起来,然后几个一起放进塑料袋中,老公好奇买了一包让大家品尝,没有愿意尝试,只有老公拿了一个放进嘴里,其它人都呲牙咧嘴地看着老公的反映,老公强作镇定对大家说,好吃极了,大家都尝尝,结果是没人上他的当。 一进火车站见人就问“BAGAN”,原以为是车站中间那个看起来还算正规的站台和车道,但对方却指着进门后左手一直走的方向,说去蒲甘的站台在那边。 按照他指的方向朝前走,倒还真有另外一个站台和车道,站台上横七竖八,或坐或卧着很多当地人,带着大包小裹。只是越往前走越疑惑,那条车道上面杂草丛生,还有很多垃圾,怎么看也不像能走火车,倒像极了废弃的铁道。 于是再次找人问,所有的人都及其确定地指着那条荒草丛生的铁路,说“this way”,依然是感觉疑惑,老公很聪明的指着铁丝网隔开的里面那条还算正规的站台和铁道说,应该是那条吧,只不过在这边候车,车来了门一开就可以到那边上车。 但是问到的所有人,甚至是看到我们是游客主动打招呼的人,都是指着那道荒弃般的铁道,说着“BAGAN"。再往前走,看到一列车停在那道上,一个身穿制服貌似铁路工作人员的人,再次指着那条铁道,说那是去蒲甘的,但那车不是。至此虽然我们百般不相信,但事实蒲甘的车就是从那条废弃一般的车道上发车。此时那列车不知什么时候开走了,我一直朝前走,直到一个牌子前,上面写着缅文,搞不清楚是不是蒲甘的意思。 总之就等着吧,紫云和小余看到旁边的一条街上好像有商店,于是就去逛去了,那里已经是站外了。我和老公是在没劲折腾了,站台上也没有坐的地方,就到道边的店里要了一杯啤酒等待,几乎进店里的所有人看见我们俩就比划出9跟手指,他们是告诉我们去蒲甘的车9点发车,缅甸人真是太热心了,和人情冷漠的国内完全是两回事,这种感觉其实是旅行缅甸的最大收获。 后来我要上卫生间,店里的热情的把我带过去,进门时看见貌似要收钱,但我进去却没有问我要,仔细观察发现那里上厕所不要钱,但另外一边是公共淋浴间,洗澡是收费的。在缅甸最大的感受是虽然所有的设施及其简陋,人看起来也黑乎乎的,但其实比国内要卫生的多,至少卫生间不像在国内靠鼻子就可以找到,缅甸的卫生间几乎都是没有一点味道的。 从卫生间一出来就看到车道上停了一列车,透过窗户看到其中一节的座位上套着白座套,想来那就是我们要坐的头等席吧。赶快回去和老公会合,回去的路上又是所有迎面过来的人,都指着那列车说着“BAGAN”,天呐,缅甸人民可真个个都是活雷锋啊,如此的热心帮助他人。 车是那种窄轨列车,所有一排只有3个座位,很宽大,有点像飞机头等舱的座位,没有空调电扇也不转,好在所有的门窗都是敞开的。([]

There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. The following day I found a vehicle heading to Jieshan Daban.The sand storm over Yarlung Zangbo RiverA lonely peach tree blossoming in Yarlung Zangbo Grand CanyonNatural hot spring in wild, me singing and drinking (photo by a friend of mine) Day 1(April 20), 16km, Camping 5192mIt was a truck with a full load of iron wastes, arriving in Jieshan Daban at 6'o clock in the morning. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. Orchid-like weedsSmall springs everywhere, clear and chillyA thin layer of ice covering the fresh spring water The sheep cote, it was the door under the sleeping bag, which was in the same place as last year, everything looked like yesterdayThe wetland at duskLungmu Co at dusk. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Continue to melt the ice under the morning sunshine, all of the sheep poo had been removed carefullyCamping site, the little hill over there was the place where I got the ice last nightThe house by the Luxing Hu, empty, the last permanent building I saw throughout my journeyDay 5 (April 24), 19.8km, Camping 4951mSet off at 10.30 in the morning, the weather was similar to yesterday. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. I set up the tent comfortably because I knew that I was safe having such a sweet spring beside me.Triangulation station erected by scientists from the joint research team on Chang Tang of three military regiments in 1971[size=+0]The gap between water and ice in Bungdag Co, I guessed there must be some springs under the lakeThe storm just above the ground, a chaotic darkness[size=+0]Icy Bungdag Co,one of the four biggest lakes in Northern Tibet, wild ducks flying over this vastness and lonenessSnowing at any time, should not happen so frequently like this in this seasonDay 6 (April 25), 4.3km, Camping 5002mWeathering landforms everywhere around this area. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. The mixture of green and amber colour showed the sand and mud carried by the melted iceThick layer of ice, sunken surface caused by strong gustsThe south course of the Yinshui He, countless small streams. To the right was the wetlandLooking for ways in the east, a trace of pasturing and the cairn made from spongy volcanic rocksMy camp, opposite to the hillDay 7 (April 26), 11km, Camping 5009mI moved forward to the direction I found yesterday, turning around the wetland and walking toward east. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. There are many ways in one's life too, you can only take it once and you will no long have the courage to repeat it.I pushed the bike crossing the river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... I liked such a colorful and peaceful Chang Tang and very much enjoyed my camp and myself bathed in such beautiful colour.The ice like this was very thin and suspended, far away from the main stemHard surface with half-melted underneath, the soft sand at the botton was most scaryThe ice like this could easily jam the wheels, hard to get it outI had to unload the panniersChaotic water and terrible hails turned up in no timeThe Chang Tang at the moment liked it used to be,a mixture of cold and warm tones under the golden setting sun Day 8 (April 27), 14.6km, Camping 5112mLast night, I forgot to bring in the odometer, which was out of order due to the coldness in midnight. Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. The accuracy of this prediction was about 80%.The road was very bad today. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The nightmare was over.Cold and clear morningHeavy morning condensation in the interior, a lot of frost to clearSuch dawning sunlight indicated a cloudy day ahead Day 9 (April 28), 18km, 5072mIn the morning I entered a range of sandy roads which were so terrible. The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Therefore, the then government called on people to cull back the population of the wolves in Chang Tang, which resulted in the current situation directly. The last official record about wolves attacking humans was around 1970s, which happened in Bamaoqiongzong. A team of secientists was surrounded by a group of wolves and they had to shoot them using guns. Of course, at present in Chang Tang, wolves are absolutely lonely.In this traverse, the first time I encountered a pair of wolves, one of them staying in front of me pretending to attack me while the other staying behind me. This is the standard attacking strategy of wolves. First, you should not be nervous which can be easily detected by the predators. Second, you should not retreat even an inch because this means you are the prey rather than the predator. Do not make any large movement, of course you could take a picture if you feel safe to do so. You must look into its eyes for a few minutes or even half an hour. When the wolves can not work out who you are and consider you are not posing any danger to them, then they will leave. You should remember that wolves in this land do not lack of food and it is much easy for them to catch a pika than a human. Even if being hungry, they would evaluate how easy to get you done, What you need to do is to show them that you are not interested in them and you are not afraid of them at all, let alone to show your ID card to them. As for the wolves family, really, I have not heard for ages. If you really have an encounter with them and they have no other choice, then it definitely depends on your forture. In fact, for so many year, it has been very rare to happen that wolves kill human. But the rumours are still there, in particular, the road connecting Xinjiang and Tibet.The nearest encounter with a wolf throughout my journey, no conflict at all[Brown Bears]Brown bears are real dangerous animals to human. Every year there are some accidents happened in some regions of Xinjiang on the north side of Kunkun Mountains and steppes in Northern Tibet. More than that the bears could attack your house, smash your windows, and eat your sheep. Therefore, in Northern Tibet some local councils give subsidies to the pastorarists for compensating the losses due to the bears because they are not allow to fight back and kill the bears except their lives are in great danger. Once there was a nomad taught me a method to protect yourself from bears. He told me to pick up a stick to feed the bear and the bear thinks the stick is your hand which tastes disgusting. So the bear would leave. It was so funny but the reality is to find a stick in this vast wilderness is just like you win the lottery.Bears are omonivorous animal who are generally not interested in human flesh. You can find that in most of accidents, the bears did not eat any of the human flesh rather they just smashed them for kind of fun that we could not understand. For the reason why bears kill human, one explanation is the conflict between human and wildlife in this extreme ecological environment. The nomads invade the habitats of the bears, which results in these conflicts. On the other hand, it might be because bears have quite high IQ so that they think it is much easy to kill a sheep in the cote rather than to kill a pika in the wild.I have met bears five times in my traverse, in two cases we were very close to each other. I had even walked with one of them for quite a while, just like we had a date for a walk. The fact is it is not that terrible like you might imagine. The same rules for dealing with wolves apply to bears. Never provoke dangerous animals. A bear can run at a speed of 40km/h, do you think you can compete this in a highland 5,000m above sea level?However, there is a situation where it is really dangerous, that is the encounter. It is not easy to control your instinctive reaction to the external dangers. Last year once I turned around a hill, there was a bear just in front of me. The bear of course was frightened by me with its front legs holding up, waving in the air and roaring. At that time I sat on the ground, ignoring it. The bear then left in a few minutes. I will no longer talk about it.This was the funniest encounter with a solitary wild yak, who did not warn me. If I sat down, it sat down too. If I moved forward, it stopped. Could not imagine what it was thinking about.[Crows]Crows are dangerous only when you fall unconscious in the wilderness. Of course they will be the first to taste your flesh in that case. Unlike their cousinsliving in urban areas, the crows in Chang Tang have a larger body like eagles. When they fly over your head, you could feel like it is a piece of cloud. They are scavengers but like fresh meat too. It once happened that a baby was killed by crows relentlessly, let alone the lambs got killed by them. Once a nomad asked me for fireworks to scare the crows away. (They are sacred birds not to be killed by human)It is easy to defend yourself against crows, that is to keep fighting, never fall in the wilderness.A short break attracted the crows. Of course, they were miscalculating this time, photo taken last year[Strategies Adopted]At the time when I met the four soldiers in Jieshan Daban, they said there were many dangerous animals in the Northern Tibet and asked me if I had brought a shotgun. I think if they knew that I would enter Chang Tang they would definitely check if I really have a shotgun. The so-called defence facilities I brought with me were the fireworks and pepper spray. I had never used them. The fireworks were ruined and thrown away when I crossed a river and I had never opened the pepper spray. I even had never thought about this when camping in the night. The reason was I did not feel the needs. During the day time whenever I met any animals I had never touched the knife I had brought. I did not have anything to defend myself when I walked out to investigate the route. The Chang Tang is really a vast area so as to be very easy to detect anything strange.By the way, you'd better to avoid mating season's animals because even tamed rabbits could be aggressive in mating season.The thing is even if you have a gun, it is not very much helpful when bears attack you. Therefore, your attitude is most important.I can tell you something. Dogs are more dangerous than these wild animals. I had been chased by Tibetan dogs, pounced on by dogs in mating season, also besieged by a group of dogs. I really feel it is more useful to know how to defend a dog.Declaration again The above experience is from Chang Tang only. Of course, the more you prepared, the better. Day 12 (May 1), 23.8km, Camping 5117mToday was May 1 -- the Labour Day, I had been walking in some lake area marked in the map but clearly dried up. The lake basin was flat and hard so that I even pushed my bike more than 20km. Let it be the special treat for my May Day. After midday it became cloudy with growing winds. Since the Yueya Hu that I passed yesterday, there were no big lakes until Yanghu Co (My route would be between Jianshui Hu and Bairab Co), there was even no light alkaline water to drink so I had to pay extra attention not to miss any possible drinking water supply to fill up my water bag. There were a few very small lakes but all were alkaline puddles which was very shallow, whose depth was no more than the length of a half-finger. These puddles were covered with a hard shell of the mixture of salt and ice which smelled stinking and decaying when getting closer, must be toxic water I supposed. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. The flat ancient lake basin, assisting me walking more than 20kmSmall lake en route, toxic waterSnow corns, the only drinking water supply today Day 13 (May 2), 0km, Camping 5117mWaking up in the morning and opening the tent, the heavy snow outside must be sent by the God to force me have a break for the May Day. After lying in for a while, getting up and walking on the snowy ground out I went to have a look around. As first sight there were a herd of chirus. They were plainly to be spotted because they looked like a clear black straight line in the while snow. I returned to get my camera and then followed them to take some pictures. But they were very much alert and kept a quite long distance from me. I felt they were a group of pregnant females, instinctively protecting themselves from any potential harm. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
