早在登上盖州黄花排之时,石头就注意到了出现在眼际中的老土顶。从网上未查到此山的相关资料,听其名字,心想应该厚厚的土层堆集起来的高山,应该没有石砬子之类的险峻之处。后来的事实证明,石头的想法实在是太英明了,山上果然土层奇厚。至于山顶石岩绝壁……石头还真是没想,以至于临行之前,又果断取从包里取出了绳子扔出——基于对队友能力的充分信任!虽然预报有雨,可是还是决定风雨不误,在这个季节里登山,只要不是雷电天气,雨中登山未必不是一件爽事,况且又不是没经历过。 24日早上8时许,小队按时到达山下,稍作准备,便开始了一天的行程。山里的雾气时浓时淡,刚刚还出现在视野里的山峰很快淹没在浓雾之中。行程伊始,尚有小路可寻。路遇当地放牧的老乡,言语之中对我们的行动啧啧称奇,就连吃草的小牛也不禁对我们刮目相看……绽放的山芍药花……高贵典雅辛劳的蚂蚁。石头一向以为,蚂蚁比蜜蜂更勤劳,可人们为什么偏偏要把赞美之词都送给了蜜蜂呢?想必是人类这帮家伙吃到了人家的蜜糖,既然吃了人家的,自然嘴短。而蚂蚁——人类似乎从它身上分享不到什么东东。但石头还是愿意对蚂蚁表示很赞!看惯了城市楼群的水泥建筑,现在行走于山野之中,满眼的绿色,天然的氧吧,远离了PM2.5,远离了汽车尾气,远离了城市噪声,耳边回响的是动听的鸟鸣……似乎感觉连空气都是绿色的,不由得大口呼吸。喂!是累的吧?好吧,石头承认是其实是累的大喘气9时20分,切上山脊,雾气渐淡,山下的村庄出现在视野之中。山下的那条公路的终点,就是英那河的发源地——鹿圈子。沿着山脊北进,来到一条山谷之中,林间突现一片开阔之地,森林、青山、黄花、草地-----好一派田野风光,于是尽兴的拍照……(此处省去照片N张)各类的花朵竞相绽放……石头目测是“金银忍冬”,求鉴定大片的浦公英……景色别致很想晚上在此美美的露营一次小队又继续前行……又穿过一片松林,峥嵘显现,晕!不是土顶么?怎么会有石顶?开弓岂有回头箭之理?上!又是一阵团雾,前行之路顿时难辩……来到一个山峰之上,石头席地休息,不知为什么突然觉得那里有点不对劲,于是便四下寻找…… 面对此景,石头一时不敢乱动,情急之下,立即念起咒语:天灵灵、地灵灵,天蓝蓝、地黄黄,天天天、地地地,天地天、地天地……还真是管用,它默默的看了我一眼之后就离开了。此咒语系石头独家原创,盗念必究!当日五人小队,其中一人是PS上去的,你看出是哪个了么?云雾暂时散开,远处的山峰……下次就去那儿!复入浓雾之中,行进之中,忽左忽右,忽上忽下,令人不一会儿就又方向难辩,好在有手中的GPS,使队能始终沿着正确的方向前进。行进之中之飞来石。行进中之石海这又是哪个方向呢?经手中的GPS确认,前方的山峰就是前行之途,只不过还要下到?a href="http//ankang.8264.com" class="keyword" target="_blank">安康牡状Γ俚巧洗紊隙悦娴纳狡隆?br/>杜鹃仍在绽放……又来到两峰之间的一个连接之处,这里显然是一个风口,常年累月的季风横扫,几乎是吹走了这里所有的土壤,但这里突兀的长有三棵松树,它的根结实的却顽强的扎在石缝之中,迎风挺立!松树的风格!赞!虽然手中有GPS,但在茂密的树林加浓雾中寻找正确的路线,并不是一件容易的事,更何况又在数个山峰之间上上下下,很是耽误时间,时间不觉已经过午。([]

蓦然回首,从伦敦回国已经一年多的时间,12月的上海,日渐变的冷了下来。突然回想起一年前这个时候刚骑着单车去俄罗斯领事馆申请证被冻得冷兮兮的时候。努力了四个月只拿到了哈萨克,俄罗斯,和申根证,于是就踩着单车上路,由上海到伦敦。哈萨克的荒凉,俄罗斯的寒冷,拉脱维亚的刹那春光,立陶宛的童话,波兰的狂暴,德国的严谨,阿姆斯特丹的红灯区,布鲁塞尔帮我带路的印度人,巴黎街头的卖唱艺人,以及伦敦的暮霭,在脑海里一遍一遍的过滤着。索性翻出去那时的照片,贴在这里,也算是对自己那段疯狂日子的一种祭奠。2011年3月5日,我由上海理工大学毛主席像前面出发,前来送我的学弟学妹们.这个时候我已经准备了近半年的时间,手里拿着三张证,哈萨克斯坦,俄罗斯,申根.各位童鞋,因为最近新书刚出版,一些事情需要处理,所以更新的不及时,还望大家谅解。如果有着急的童鞋可以关注我的sina博客“驭风者郑盛”里面有之前我在路上每天的记录,当然如果大家能关注我的新书《我的青春在路上》就更好了,我将一路的经历,各国证以及一路的见闻及心理路程详细的记录在里面。当当,亚马逊,京东,淘宝均有销售,百度百科也有介绍,当然我也会继续在8264分享我接下来的旅程,谢谢关注了~~为什么只有三张证,其实是占了一个小便宜,申根证包括25个国家,所以,我一个申根证可以从拉脱维亚一直到法国,这也是当时有了骑车去伦敦的想法之后对着地图冥思苦想好几天才设计的路线,中国,哈萨克斯坦,俄罗斯,拉脱维亚,立陶宛,波兰,德国,荷兰,比利时,法国,英国。英国的证之所以放到法国办理,一是在国内已经没有那么多时间去申请证,第二是我也吃不准路上需要多长时间,不好吧时间限制死。为什么有这个想法?我也说不好,就是一种冲动,毕业了,总有一种回到大学里的冲动,总觉得自己的大学还没过完,总觉得还需要一点什么去做一个总结。2010年的9月,上海十分的燥热,坐在办公室里,看着9月17日日历,上海理工大学开学的日子,越想越闷,四年的汗水,四年的欢声笑语,四年的喜怒哀乐,四年的青春就这样戛然而止,似乎并没有一个完美的句号。以后就只能每天朝九晚五的上班,送货,销售,加薪,培训。回家的路上,坐在地铁的角落,我开始认真的思考起来,想起我要骑车走全国,骑车去尼泊尔的梦想,然而越想越觉得堵得慌,似乎被鱼刺卡了喉咙,吐不出来,也咽不下去,难道我的青春就这样草草结束了吗?我想起了骑车去走全国的日子,或许,我需要对自己的青春做一个总结,需要一个句号。但是去过西藏,中国基本没什么挑战了,于是就选择了欧亚大陆,上海到伦敦,作为我的毕业旅行,也是我22岁时的纪念。有了这个想法之后,我就去和捷安特上海的俱乐部取得了联系,经过了几个月的努力,上海的沈总决定,赞助我自行车和自行车相关的全部零件,满满的一个大箱子,让我更加有了在路上的信心。很多人好奇我怎么能拿到证,这个我也不懂,第一次出国,可能更多的是基于一个单纯的想法,老外比较支持个人探险,我去过西藏,应该会得到他们的支持,于是我就把自己的骑车的照片,路书,以及媒体的报道,拿到使馆,幸运的是经过了几个月的折腾,竟然也拿到了。为了让大使馆更好的了解我,我把大学获得十几张证书都一并交了上去,献血证说明我是安全的,志愿者证书说明我是一个乐于奉献的大学生,急救培训证书说明我能适应这一路的自救第一张图是我带的药品,几乎能想到的药品都带上了,感冒发烧拉肚子常见的病,还有牙痛胃痛等不常见的病,药都备齐了。第二张图是马先生和他的同事,得知我有了这个计划之后,他赞助了我不少零件。第三张则是出发前的时候,剃了一个光头,削发明志,霸气外露。2011年3月5日,我带着52KG的装备,开始我正式的欧亚大陆的行走。出发地点是上海理工大学的毛主席像,很多来送我的学弟学妹。当天下午到了南通,搭船过了此行路上的第一条江,长江。苏北的早晨,安静而又美好!走在苏北的平原上,农村的高音喇叭真是给力,一路上好汉歌听的我热血澎湃,然后就是村书记操着苏北普通话:下面有个通知...后面就不知道说啥了宿迁的烧饼真好吃!路过京杭大运河,不禁感慨,隋炀帝的暴政竟造福了后人,是非公过,如何评说呢?3月9日 1150 来自短信 徐州城东50公里处,突然车头一沉,不受控制,一看,暴胎了,难道刘邦知道我崇拜项羽?和我同行的有个胖子,他陪我走到了兰州。补胎神马是最痛苦了,重重的装备要全部卸下来。。。呼啸而过的卡车,给我们造成不小的压力过了郑州,几乎全是面食,对于来自南方的我们来说,每次吃饭就成了一次煎熬。所幸的是四川人遍布全国,偶尔路过城市,可以去吃点米饭。有一些小地方依稀残留着老的东西过了三门峡,就进入了陕西境内,偶遇黄河。明媚的阳光,让我忍不住开始拉着嗓门吼几声。陕西农村的大玉米,搞的很像香蕉树宝鸡的宝莲灯原以为3月份中国的春天会春光明媚,谁知进了秦岭开始一路暴雪。万里冰封我算是见识到什么是滴水成冰了,早晨出门带的水,不到中午就结成冰了,零下五度,变速进水冻住,水壶里全是冰疙瘩,车座子钢管收缩了活动,八公里的下坡停了两次,多几个隧道吧,隧道里暖和!从春天走到冬天,早知道山下带几个西瓜上来吃冰西瓜,哈哈过了兰州,胖子就急匆匆坐飞机回去了。他的离开对我来说是一个很大的打击,本来他至少要陪我到哈萨克斯坦,但是由于他老妈突然要做手术,所以不得不临时放弃。确实,在现实面前,梦想很脆弱,这也让我重新认识这个问。藏族聚居地天祝出来的公路,这一天发飙,一路狂奔,天祝到古浪到武威到永昌,一天235km,三个县城,一个市.黄土高原的天空和西藏的天空一样的蓝.过了张掖,在高台县受到了田翔的招待.住在他的村官宿舍里,就着辣子吃着土豆会肉,是这一生难以忘怀的美味.山丹县明长城的遗址.黄土高原也有雪山的.田翔的舍友,来自云南的村官.过了武威,就进了沙漠和盐碱地,也是传说中的丝绸之路.第一次见到盐是怎么生产出来的,沙漠中的盐碱地里,几个工人将雪花一样的盐矿扫到一起,然后送到旁边的化工厂进行提炼.远远看去,白盐上面升起袅袅烟雾,如同海市蜃楼.神奇的是,盐矿附近竟然还能生长茅草.走在酒泉的沙漠里,因为靠近卫星发射基地,所以最大的乐趣就是数飞机.天下第一雄关,嘉峪关.可惜门票太贵了,门口看了看就离开了/走丝绸之路,最重要的事情就是食物,好的是当地随处可以买到便宜的馍馍,5毛钱两个,榨菜是5毛钱一包,一次买上十几个,可以吃两天.出了嘉峪关,我就不在老老实实的走国道,将自行车扛上了G30,因为这边的国道实在是破烂的可怜.不过,过了瓜州,G30没了,还是接着走312,进入天山进入天山地界,人烟稀少,找不到住的地方,所幸路边有修路队,就进去借宿了一个晚上,也在这里过了我23岁的生日.老妈还打电话过来让我吃好点,呵呵,她还不知道我在天山脚下吹沙子呢.收留我住一晚上的修路工人.来自黑龙江的老大哥.新疆的风,不说什么了,我迎风仍了一个易拉罐,在落地之前,飞到我身后30米,在公路上骑车,活生生的将我从路上扯下来,据说当年吹翻过火车,我还是幸运的,慢慢推还可以走,没有被吹回上海.进了新疆,找睡觉的地方比在生孩子都难,至少生孩子是肚里有货,这里旅馆却是真没有,只好借宿加油站的锅炉房.维族打馕人.到了新疆最大的感触是,这里的民风不错,没有想象中的恐怖,走在乡间小道上,偶遇一个带着小花帽的维族大爷,笑眯眯的给你打个招呼,感觉很是舒服.进疆之前的忐忑也缓解不少.4月7日,克拉玛依。大学朋友白老大,特意将线路改道巴克图出境,就是想来看看他。走在沙漠里,数飞机的感觉是蛮舒服的。霍吉尔特蒙姑乡,放牧的蒙古人。新疆的地名,让我开始相思啊,哈哈戈壁滩塔城,周叔叔,大学朋友的爸爸巴克图出境时候,准备的馕,不过只够吃两天。。。第一次见到其他国家的货币来送我出国的周叔叔刚进入哈萨克的第一个路牌哈萨克的第一个县城公路边的草可以盖住一头头黄牛,让我不禁开始担心起来,这里面是否藏的有狼?哈萨克的路牌还好有一排英文和一排俄文,我可以看懂英文,找路不是问了,第一天晚上没有找到睡觉的地方,因为看不懂哈萨克语和俄语,不知道哪里是旅馆,好的是,一个在这边做生意的新疆人收留了我,睡在他们家的地毯上。新疆人的商店第二天的旅程没有想象中的那么轻松,路边都是乌鸦的窝,嘎嘎叫的心烦这是哈萨克的高速公路,我一个人,踩着单车赶路,偶尔呼啸而过的破车,荡起滚滚黄烟从新疆老乡家里出来,便开始一个人走上这条公路,传说中的哈萨克高速公路,比中国的村村通还烂。一个人,一部单车,后面几头牛在那里当路人甲。去阿拉木图和阿亚谷子的分叉路,还好路牌是英文的,基本上可以看懂。([]
塔敏查干沙漠穿越游记 4月30日,我和妈妈随科尔沁户外俱乐部一行28余人乘坐公共汽车前往内蒙古通辽市库伦旗,进行负重沙漠露营穿越户外活动。 塔敏查干沙漠位于库伦旗,属于哲里木盟辖旗。“库伦”系蒙古语译音,意为“有围墙的地方”。位于哲里木盟西南部。东邻科尔沁左翼后旗,南靠辽宁省阜新蒙古族自治县和彰武县,西连奈曼旗,北接开鲁县。面积4 650平方公里,人口16.8万,其中蒙古族占60%。辖5镇7苏木3乡。旗府驻库伦镇,距盟府140公里,海拔250.6米。元属中书省辖。明初属大宁卫。明末先后属察哈尔部、内喀尔喀部。清初形成唯一的政教合一的喇嘛旗称库伦旗,因曼苏希礼喇嘛从西藏来此传经布法,故名曼珠希礼库伦旗,1933年改库伦旗。解放后先属热河省辖,后归内蒙古自治区辖(1969~1979年曾归吉林省辖)。养畜牧河横贯中部,河南为黄土丘陵沟壑区,属燕山余脉;河北是地甸地,属西辽河冲积平原边缘属大陆性气候。地势西南高,东北低。水土流失造成沟壑纵横,北部沙化严重。年均温6.3℃,年均降水量426.9毫米,无霜期140-150天。矿藏有铁、钨、铜、石灰石、大理石、氟石、珍珠岩、砂等。有5条地方干线公路,纵横境内。工业有建材、电力、地毯、酿酒、制革、鞋帽、皮毛加工、农机、民用铸造、水泥、印刷、制砖、柳编、塑编、制药等行业。以农为主,农牧林结合,多种经营。农业主产玉米、高粱、稻谷、小麦、荞麦。有中学16所。是“安代舞”发源地,有“安代之乡”的盛名,由旗乌兰牧骑创作并演出的歌舞剧《安代传奇》被国家文化部认定为新剧种--科尔沁蒙古剧。古迹有兴源寺和福缘寺、象教寺,境内有50余座辽代古墓,其中“一号辽墓”,壁画面积约180平方米,是中国古代艺术史上的瑰宝. 30日中午我们到达库伦,午餐后参观了三大寺院,然后到库伦旗繁华的商业中心购物,见识了当地的风味食品,游览了旗中心的人民广场,下午3点左右,乘坐大巴前往穿越起点,在乡间公路颠簸了一个多小时左右到了一个不知名的小村子。 这个村子离穿越点还有些距离,于是我们就背着行囊徒步前行,大约走了2公里我们被一条河挡住了去路。怎么过?有的人去联系乘坐交通工具绕行过河,我和妈妈则按照前面驴友的方法背着行囊脱鞋鞋趟河(水很凉,脚下20多公分的淤泥下面还没有完全化冻)。过河后大约徒步补个多小时到达第一露营地,安营扎寨,埋锅造饭。晚餐我们吃了鸡蛋菠菜汤、红焖肉、馕饼。妈妈说吃好了才有体力去穿越沙漠。 餐后,科尔沁户外和长春徒步协会的驴友点篝火,一起狂欢,蒙族驴友叔叔应大家邀请唱起了蒙族歌曲,让我感到了驴友们的朴实,歌声伴着篝火在夜空中飘荡,围着篝火驴友们跳着唱着。高潮时“我的热情好像一把火,燃烧了整个沙漠。沙漠有了我,从此不寂寞……”这歌声恰如其分的诠释了人们当时的心情。5月1日早,9点开始徒步穿越沙漠,领队山峰进行了分组,我和妈妈在一组,擎云叔叔是领队 。我们踩着软软的沙子前行,脚下留下我们坚韧的足迹。沙漠因为我们的穿越显得生机勃勃,不在是沉静。穿越者的的各色装扮点缀着沙漠,人们蜿蜒前行,走在沙脊上看着滴滴汗珠落在沙地里那的印记被大风吹的转瞬即逝。随着时间的推移脚步开始变得沉重,大家每走上一个沙脊都会停下脚步拍照。走累了就休息,喝些水,吃点零食补充些营养继续向着沙漠腹地前进。中午的沙漠很热,真的热情似火。经过一上午的沙漠穿越,下午大家都自动放慢脚步,慢慢沿着沙脊朝着露营地方向前进。因为我们是第一队,在前面,怕和大家离得太远,老卒大伯决定在一个沙山上休息,等山峰他们,我和妈妈就卸下背包睡了一觉。后来好些驴友叔叔上来了我们一起前行,经过了“漫长”的两个小时跋涉(说“漫长”,亲身经历的人就会懂),傍晚我们选择了养畜牧河边作为我们的第二露营地安营。休息一会,我们开始搭建临时的家。好几十顶帐篷列队排开,真壮观。晚餐后,伴随着落日余晖我们大家爬上周围的沙山开始了一天最轻松的拍照欢乐时光。 夜晚,躺在帐篷里听着河边此起彼伏的蛙声,在怎么想不到这是大漠的邻居,养畜牧河的热情和大漠冷峻能够如此的和谐,更增添了沙漠穿越的神秘。听着夜晚大漠的风在吟唱,感受着那冰冷的夜色,渐渐融入梦乡。 2日,早餐后,返程徒步,在乡村小路徒步12.5公里,身体虽然很是疲倦,但途中小雨很清爽使我们的心情格外的轻松。回头望着两天来我们走过的这片沙漠,心里有着很是的不舍,我们只是一群过客,还没来得及深度体验和发现她的雄浑壮阔和更多神秘之处,就离开了。望着因我们的离去又归于沉寂的沙漠,在心里默默祝福再见了大漠,谢谢你给予我的这份神奇经历。 在这里要感谢组织者山峰叔叔、打前站的阿布叔叔和何叔叔、领队擎云叔叔、财务总管蓝月亮姐姐等驴友。同时,很感谢妈妈拉我参加这次穿越而且做窝的随队厨师使我有机会在沙漠穿越中享用奢侈的饭菜! 自从08年春节后,对着一张环安纳普尔纳地图,琢磨了一年的计划,终于实践。纯FB游记。致力于省钱省时间的,希望证明自己意志与体能的,就不要继续看了,hoho。时间计划是:7天北京到樟木——如果碰到传说的聂拉木大雪,延长2天。26天环安大环+9天ABC。5天加都樟木拉萨回北京。理论上,1个半月时间足够了,包含了聂拉木/佗龙垭口附近足够的机动时间。我和郭彦,诺诺在拼命加班三个月后,携LG沈健加入。又买了一些装备,食品——这次坚决不能在路上天天吃炒饭炒面——苦等5天火车票,出发!实际行程是:26日大年初一晚上上火车,2月1日进入尼泊尔到加都。2月3日开始徒步行程。2月13日到达冰错。2月16日穿越佗龙垭口。2月18日到达Tatopani。2月19日诺诺和沈健回博卡拉,继续加都,继续飞回北京。我们开始ABC。2月24日到ABC。2月28日回到加都。3月3日飞机回北京建议用Safari或者Firefox看图,激活色彩管理。图都是Adobe RGB 1998的Profile。费用统计:西藏2421(食宿/公用物资)+1660(火车票)=4081元樟木兑换,11.66Rs 100000=8576元加都兑换,11.5Rs 23000=2000元加都兑换,11.75Rs 80000=6808元加都兑换,11.75Rs 5875=500元机票9=3136x2=6272元加都酒店=205分手前欠款,11.66Rs 6322.5=542元(回北京还沈健人民币)以上共计28984元(其中不包括北京购买的公用物资,如食品等)其中:Rs 71800/11.75=6110元购买装备Rs 10000/11.75=850元购买书籍实际通用开销为22024元。每人11012元。从樟木到加都到大环线到ABC到回加都,每人花5835.5元。 Day -6/7:火车到拉萨好不容易整出4张北京到拉萨的火车票,卧铺/上下各2张,大包小包滴奔向了自由——自从确认出发日期后,在北京天天呆着觉得超级不踏实。梦想了快一年的尼泊尔大环线,终于开拔了。火车上,东吃西吃,聊天打牌,好在4个人,方便消磨时光。第2天刚过西宁,沈健高反了!我们觉得是吃多了豆子(我们带了一大罐子许多种、乱七八糟叫不上名字的豆子),沈健跟我抢着吃,结果,吃多了。但他一天就好了,号称是每次都是这样。第2天晚上8点到了拉萨,老朋友藏族司机平错来接站,不过没开他的车,而是请了新朋友巴桑。平错说,去年生意太差了,他干脆就没开车,去云南玩去了。巴桑说,就开了3次珠峰1次阿里,惨淡啊!好在每个司机政府给补偿了4000元。与巴桑谈好价格和路线,商量好,根据大家状态,明天再决定最后的出发时间。找酒店可累了,沈健无比钟情的东措给了他一盆冷水,原来电话上说不用预定,现在则一个合适的房间都没有了。巴桑带我们开车到平错青年,我特别不愿意住这里,印像太差,幸好,满员了!接着就转到斜对面,一家叫吉曲的,一看,房间大,装饰好,有空调,有热水,独立卫生间,按照沈健的口头语:体面!房价160块,住!不知为什么,我和郭彦的房间超大,大的坏处就是,冷,同时空调还不灵光。晚饭没什么地方去,东措不开门,陌生人干脆就over了,于是岗拉梅朵。坐在餐厅后面的位子,从厨房门帘后面串出来小风,够冷。 大环路上洗澡不方便,大家都秃了吧!!!!郭彦起初不乐意,打听到假发狠便宜后,立刻去买了两个,一个长发,一个短发。然后回家就剃度了。到目前,假发,就带了两次,因为捂脑袋上太热。而经过大环后,郭彦超喜欢短发了,因为头皮永远是那么清爽。偷偷打情骂俏护肤!!!!!进口的啤酒啊!这个酒鬼!!!!!!!!!早饭。“师傅,能多给碗粥吗?”“可以!”惨啊!4个人买两碗,再讨要两碗,平均一人一碗!但是有许多橙子,补充足够的维生素。没带够,没一天,就吃光了。北京西站,杨子荣的姿势准火车食品这是什么意思啊!!!!!!大白天的!!!!!!!还有那么多乘客呢!!!!!!!!一只带角的灰毛Yak,一只不带角的黑毛Yak。车到西宁,停车,换车头。天气不冷,但据说刚下了场大雪。西宁车站,停了30多分钟。到餐车点蔬菜。填写铁道部免责声明。晚饭,方便面+著名的牛街聚宝源的牛腱子!口水啊!想念北京!沈健开始高反了,哈哈!躺了!凌晨4点到达格尔木。又停车,换了3个连一起的车头。据说从西宁开始,就是柴油机头了。还来了一队大粪车(7、8辆),从列车上将已经存积了一天多的粪便都收走。我被劣质口哨上的温度计骗了,它显示-3度,其实估计要-10度左右。我耍了30多分钟,导致身体防御机能下降。 小毛毛已经开始长出来辣!半夜惊魂!!!!!!!!这样两个家伙,在樟木口岸被祖国的女边检人员审查长达5分钟的出境手续。“从哪里来?”“拉萨。”“什么民族?”“汉族。”最后边检人员冒出这么一句:“最近是流行这样的发型吗?”天亮了,看到雪了沈健好了!青藏公路上都是飞雪和薄冰。海拔高了。火车车厢连接处有海拔显示,开始我们还对这它校对我们的手表。后来发现,两节车厢相邻3米的海拔表竟然数据相差50米!校对?还是算了吧!馒头+肉松!!!晒晒脚丫子车厢连接处门上的玻璃冰封的错那湖+错那河这些人,不玩桥牌,不玩拖拉机,只好睡觉,无聊啊!以为这个是纳木错对面的念青唐古拉,拿起相机猛拍,雪壁狠漂亮!为什么一拍照,就要龇牙咧嘴的呢?青藏线沿途的电线杆子狠厉害,这些东西是啥材料整的?绕到雪壁后面,感觉不是念青唐古拉。这个才是,7111米的念青唐古拉主峰。Day -5:拉萨生病半夜狠不舒服,冻死了。早晨去吃早点,平错对面的永和关门了,又转到南边街上找个铺子吃了油条豆浆,回酒店我就不行了,浑身发冷。诺诺说我们房间太大了,又晒不到太阳,不行!需要立刻换房间。于是,我先住诺诺他们那里,他们的房间能更早一点晒到太阳,空调也管用。钻进睡袋,开水壶捂脚,晒太阳,吃了药,才觉得暖和过来。给巴桑电话说,明天不能出发,后天走。我觉得从老定日开始,一堆事情,别累病了耽误大环,还是在拉萨多稳定一天再说。下午觉得好多了,到花园中晒太阳,喝甜茶。晚饭又去了岗拉梅朵,这次狠不满意,4个菜,第一个与最后一个上菜的时间相差1小时零20分钟,催菜我们就催了8遍,最后服务员还还嘴说他们忙,他们狠辛苦。哎,生意好了就这样了,没办法,决定以后不来了。入夜,体温上升,一度达到38.2,肯定是下午和晚上乱窜折腾的,于是下了一片退烧药,祈祷着,天啊,千万别出问啊!宾馆的院落非常漂亮,晒太阳很合适,超级安静。与其他朋友再次会合,给我们拍了集体照,很像地主+姨太秃头合影诺诺第一次来拉萨,与沈健出去转,发现这样一只猫我借了酒店一个暖壶。这个东西不知道拉萨的人怎么称呼,我比划了半天,她们才知道我要暖壶。我后面这个人,想要干什么?G9上树。山寨章鱼,挺好用晒晒头皮,消除包包这个花园的问就是,临到下午晚些时候,要随着阳光的变化而整体移动桌子和椅子,以便得到最合理的日照从酒店房间的窗户望出去Day -4:拉萨养病凌晨,体温表到了37.2度。今天,啥也不敢干了,起来后,发现体温降到36.8,吃了郭彦买回来的粥,继续在房间内晒太阳。保持了一上午,体温降到36.2。幸亏郭彦带了一只拿手机话费积分换的速测的体温表,不然真瞎米了。中午喝粥,下午房间内晒太阳。但是还是想溜达一下,于是,沿街专门找有太阳晒到的地方走,去光明甜茶馆买壶甜茶,300米的路,为了晒到太阳,我过了4次马路。晚上,不出去吃了,各个饭馆都太冷。于是出主意,让沈健到对面川菜大排挡点些菜回来,郭彦再去买点粥,回来在房间中吃,哈哈,其饭菜效果竟然大家都超级满意,还超级省钱。体温36.5以下,踏实了,明天可以安全出发。Day -3_01:美丽的羊湖与危机中的冰川早晨6点半起床,7点巴桑准时来酒店滴敲我们的房门,随后大家上了车。拉萨还黑蒙蒙的,街上仅仅点着路灯。巴桑给我们带到了24小时营业的玉包子,20分钟早饭,接着就杀向羊湖。没走多远,就碰到了车祸,一辆比我们出发更早的4500,巴桑坚定滴认为那是一辆拉着客人的旅游车,撞死了一个行人。4500横在路边,行人横尸路中央。“奇怪了,大早上的,这个人怎么走到路中间去了。”心中庆幸并坚定着不走夜路的原则。沿拉萨河西南方向行进,贡嘎机场在我们远远滴南侧。过曲水后,过桥走到南岸,就开始了爬升。没多久,沿盘山路就上到了羊湖,4400了。太阳刚出来不久,羊湖还不是那种绿绿的颜色。气温还可以,但是风狠硬。车继续向前下山,转到湖边,我一指湖边的小路:“我们能下去吗?”巴桑毫不犹豫滴开了下去,太好了,我喜欢巴桑了!羊湖西面远处是白雪覆盖的海拔7191米的宁金岗桑峰,静静滴耸立在湖面上方。它也是拉轨岗日山脉主峰,在它后面就是卡若拉冰川。看地图,其实我们日常看到的羊湖,仅仅是它一条东北到西南向的狭长的局部,湖面最多是羊湖全部的1/10吧。湖边的冰狠有趣,竟然是一片一片的薄片叠加在一起的。而最漂亮的是湖边的泥地与湖面上,有许多晨起寻食的各种鸟,雁、鸭子、乱七八糟的7、8种。如同内蒙的一样,鸟非常警惕,我一身黑衣服滴慢慢溜达过去,鸟就慢慢滴顺着波浪离岸边越来越远。如果我冲刺过去,干脆,就飞了!接着杀向冰川,考!太可怕了!比前年我来的时候,少了一大块!巴桑说,今年真的好小啊!日喀则,藏餐厅都关门过年了,只能继续玉包子。沈健点多了菜,太多了,太体面了。结果是菜打包,打算晚上在老定日吃。问来了,没有气罐——我们买了八宝粥作为早餐,还有备用的酸辣粉。想到在老定日让店家给我们热食物和水,也许狠麻烦,就到对面的探路者户外店买气罐。最普通的罐子,开价35,但号称是高山罐。我和沈健连咋呼带还价,40块买了两个。每个比内地贵了5块,感觉超值了!赶快跑,别等服务员明白过来再追出来。羊湖。。。。。 今天起得有点早啊!路过的藏民上香祈福下到了湖边 偷偷前进,还是被湖边的鸟发现了。始终保持着与我等距,我靠近湖,它们就远离岸。湖边的冰狠奇怪啊琢磨半天,原来这两块牌子仅仅是音译的不同松枝烧起来当作香。但我闻这个味道,实在是受不了。消退的冰川白塔上.......Day -3_02:与日本驴友讲英文,差点高反!路上只碰到一辆4500,应该就是与豆子与胖子的车,她们比我们晚出发1个多小时,但我们太磨蹭,后来被超。没走多久就进入风沙区,从没有见过藏区这么大尘土。许多田地都刚刚翻了土,阵风过来,扬起几十米。半路休息买矿泉水,小店只有小瓶的,还骗我,说都过年去了,别的店不开门。我不甘心——小瓶太贵了——拐弯走了30米就是另外一个店,大瓶才卖小瓶的钱,心中暗骂前面那个女店主,黑心死你吧!很快就到了新定日,我们直接穿镇而过,10分钟后就到了边防检查站,豆子与胖子的4500已经早就到了。大家纷纷下车进入房间出示证件的时候,2男1女,从前面的4500过来,用异样的英语问我们,谁会说英语。沈健狠可恶,诺诺明明在他身边站着,他连眼睛都没眨一下,抬手就指我:“他!”结果,我不得不以中国人无私的精神来care一下这3个貌似日本籍的驴友。一个男的说,是否司机愿意给他们送到扎西宗。我问了后,回答,从老定日再往返,太远了,司机去不了,我们走的是樟木方向,不去扎西宗。“我们就是去樟木!”一个男孩说。“你们不是去珠峰吗?扎西宗和樟木不是一个方向。”“那我们就不去珠峰了,我们去樟木。”“你们去樟木干什么?”“我们.......”“你最好往回走,等明天,搭车去扎西宗。”“我们可以去樟木。”“那你们不去珠峰了?”“我们没有permission,去不了珠峰,我们过不了这个检查站。所以我们要去樟木。”考!“你们没有permission,过不了这个检查站,你们一样去不了樟木啊。”太阳离地平线只有30分钟的路程了,我已经受不了那个风了,回车里带上抓绒帽子。找来纸笔,给他们画了个地图,问他们,到底是去樟木还是珠峰。边检站的小战士也过来了,围一起看热闹。“他们没有汽车,怎么到的这里啊?”我赶快问小战士,琢磨着这几个怪胎是怎么冒出来的。“他们搭农民的车来的。现在想走着走。”“那他们只有护照,能去珠峰不?”小战士打了个电话回来说,可以的。“你们可以去珠峰,但是现在没有车,你往回走10KM,到定日住,明早买了珠峰门票后,再找车再走吧。”“我们有门票,有门票!”靠,我实在是郁闷了!“我们还是要去珠峰。那我们可以走过去吗?”“从这里去扎西宗40分钟汽车,你们要走8个小时才行。现在下午5点了,你们会冻死在半路的。”我一边说一边低头看,考,这3个一身休闲装,两个人背个30L的包,还瘪了吧唧的,另一个女生,拖个拉杆箱。“那我们去樟木。”“你去珠峰啊,去樟木干什么?????????”“那我们可以走着去扎西宗。”“太远了,你走不到啊,你会冻死的!”“你们坚决今天不能放这3个人过去,搭车也不行,他们太不靠谱了,如果冻死了,你们责任就大了!”我扭头对小战士们说。“对,一定今天不放他们过去!”3个小战士觉得我说得超级有道理。“你们搭车,或者走回去,走路只要1个小时。住!明天早上可以找到车的!”“我们回去只要走一个小时就能住?”“对!”“好,那我们走回去。”OK,至此,我觉得,有点头疼了!上车,沈健还埋怨我:“你真能侃啊!要日落了,我们抓紧去看日落!”“废话,这些人不是你发配给我的啊!累死我了,怎么都说不明白!”([]
谨以此帖纪念我永远怀念的老爸!七年前的八月,我将哥哥的骨灰撒在绥中六股河入海口。2014年8月12日,为了完成老爸的遗愿,我和娟子骑行十天,最终将老爸的骨灰也撒在这里。七年前,由于当时封海,租不到船,我只好孤身一人泅渡到入海口,把哥哥的骨灰撒完。我向回游的时候,被涌入大海的河水所困,精疲力尽之下,游上一座小岛,总算 逃过一劫。这次,我带了一件救生衣,将重复七年前的一幕,泅渡到入海口,将老爸的骨灰和哥哥的骨灰撒在同一个地方!相片中,右下角,用圆圈画出的,就是老爸了。年轻的时候,英姿飒爽!老爸最喜欢的户外活动,就是钓鱼。他每次出去钓鱼,都能钓到许多十斤以上的大鱼。(钓到王八,他都放生),这些鱼,能卖掉的,就当场卖掉。剩下的拿回家里,特意买了两个大冰柜专门用来储存。 今年初,由于老爸身体每况愈下,我和娟子从湖北回到沈阳照顾他(妈妈在我四岁的时候就去世了,哥哥在九年前去世了,老爸除了我再没别的亲人了)。半年后,老爸最终还是离我而去,我和娟子决定用骑行的方式来送老爸最后一程。去程:沈阳——辽中——台安——盘锦——锦州——葫芦岛——兴城——绥中——六股河入海口(走滨海公路)返程:六股河入海口——绥中—— 兴城——葫芦岛——凌海——盘锦——台安——辽中——沈阳(走102国道) 感谢我现在唯一的亲人——娟子的一路陪伴。我俩共同经历的无数风险,共同面对的许多困难,都让我铭记于心,刻骨难忘!所有付出的艰辛与汗水,都化作了浓浓之情。这将是我最宝贵的财富!一路上,烈日,暴晒,狂风,暴雨,电闪,雷鸣,逆风,沙尘,搓板路,弹坑路,起伏路,涉水路,没有路的路,所有的一切,都不能阻止我和娟子滚滚向前的车轮!在沙尘最大的时候,老天适时的给我俩掉下一点小雨;在几十公里没有树荫的滨海公路上,暴风雨倾泻下来的前一分钟,我和娟子神奇般的找到一个大棚子来躲避;连续几天顶着灰蒙蒙的雾霾骑行,然而在到达终点六股河入海口,我下水去撒老爸骨灰的时候,天空居然碧空万里,水天一色!;十天的骑行,我和娟子两辆车子没有一点毛病,连爆胎都没有,难道这就是8264骑友们经常说的“人品”吗?不知道所有的这一切,是否都是老爸在冥冥之中帮助我俩呢?感谢路上遇到无数骑友对我俩的鼓励和支持,感谢徐大堡镇的刘大哥,在我和娟子投宿无门,准备露营的时候,热情邀请我俩去他的农场过夜。虽然和每个人都是擦肩而过,但我永远会记住你们,好人一生平安! 骑行至龙回头的时候,娟子哭了。一路上无论多苦,她都在默默的承受。但由于我在极度劳累饥饿闷热汗透的情况下,心情不好,嫌她骑的太慢而对她大吼,她憋了多日的眼泪终于流了下来。在这里,我只想说一句:“媳妇儿,对不起!”千里走双骑第一天:2014年8月12日早上五点,我和娟子准备好了一切,把老爸的骨灰盒装进一个旅行包中,固定在我的后货架上,就要出发了。虽然天还没有大亮,但这时候正好凉快。骑出市区,导航推荐的路线是开发大道——沈西大道。这一路的路况非常好,我和娟子骑行的速度也很快。但美中不足的是,出沈阳79公里,一直没遇到打尖的饭店。在六间房镇附近,我俩又累又饿,实在不行了,找了一条小路下道,寻到一个村庄,买了一些吃的。又找到一条小河,岸边绿树成荫,我俩在这里搭帐休息。下午四点半,收拾东西,继续出发。天黑的时候,入住台安县城。清晨的开发大道。地铁十三号街站,是终点站。这也志着我和娟子即将骑出沈阳市区。出四环了。流动补胎的师傅,晚上就睡在路边。好大的一片野花。前面什么情况?好像在修桥。拉近镜头,果然是在修桥。希望下面的便道不要太长。拐上便道,大概一公里左右,重新回到又宽又平的大道上。路边都是一望无际的玉米地。无论今后的路有多长,希望我和娟子永远能这样并肩骑行。路的中间,修有隔离带。这时候大概已经七点多钟了,阳光很强烈。真希望能在树荫下骑行啊!鹭岛湖?我咋没听说过?距离辽中还有三十公里的时候,我和娟子已经一口气骑出近四十公里了。找到一块树荫,我俩停下来喝了点水,每人补充一块士力架。继续出发!路边一望无际的玉米地,变成了一望无际的稻田地。唉!可怜的小刺猬。天堂里不会再有车来车往,只会有神的光芒。“沈阳近海经济区欢迎您”?怎么我刚出家门,就到近海经济区了吗?天上的云彩看起来有点意思。应该是飞机拉出来的。这是沿途所看到的第一台采油机。这种机器将会越来越多的出现。和路边的养护工人聊了一会儿。他们每月工资只有900元,还未达到最低工资准。而且公路处只给他们交一份意外伤害险,其余什么待遇都没有了。我曾经在公路部门工作过,深知里面的黑暗。这里右拐进入S102,就快到辽中了。
旅行结束已经一个月了,我已深深爱上了在路上的感觉,在路上的每一天,接触的每一寸土地,每一个人都是那么值得纪念。 本人,自取名葡萄,80后女孩一枚,2013年3月22日深圳出发,骑行广东,海南,广西,越南,云南,西藏拉萨,共计骑行超过6000公里;徒步搭车尼泊尔,西藏阿里,新疆,甘肃,陕西,河南郑州,家乡为终点,共计搭车超过10000公里,旅行总旅程近20000公里,耗时四个多月,所有花费不过万元左右!旅行路线以图为例: 那段日子,在我的脑子里总有一个想法,就是趁着自己还年轻,自己还有能力去做一些现在还能做的事情,去和我魂牵梦绕的梦中圣地亲密接触,去实现自己未能实现的梦想,不给自己的人生留下遗憾。因为我明白真的是有许多事情如果现在不做,以后也许真的不会有机会可以这么潇洒说走就走,不被现实束缚,去追逐自己的梦!我热爱旅行,旅行之前的几天,我天天抱着兴奋与期待的心情去开始这趟远行,在乎的只是这种追寻的过程,在此次旅行之前,我2012年五月曾经骑单车走过川藏线,环过青海湖,也骑行过6000公里,曾经没有一点骑行经验的我居然可以做到首次出远门就可以走这么远,因而更见坚定了我的信心,我相信只要我想走,我就可以到达我想去的地方。我已经深深的享受在路上的过程,会更高兴认识每一个驴友,以及每一个驴友物背后的故事。我只是一个行者,也可以一直在路上,只是自己不会是一个人走在路上。我希望在未来,不管是一个人还是两个人,或者是一家人,都可以再路上。如果以后自己有孩子,我会带着孩子去旅行,让他们感受大自然的巨大魅力,让他更好的感受人间冷暖,更好的了解这个世界。2013年3月,刚刚过完年,我辞掉了原本不错的工作,刚好有之前的骑友周叔骑行经过深圳,于是我们一路结伴前行!周叔此次从浙江沿着海岸线一路到达深圳,于是我带周叔简简单单的逛了一下深圳,没有过多的准备,我们说走就走,也许自己喜欢的就是这样,我们两人从深圳湾口岸轮渡到珠海。正是开始了我们的边境线骑行。骑行是快乐的,自由的,无忧无虑的,我享受那种速度与激情,贪恋路上的风景。骑行也是辛苦的,这样的季节,这样炎热的天气,我们也付出了太多的汗水,每一天衣服都是湿了又干干了又湿,即便如此,我依旧享受这个过程。 我的座驾也就是美利达公爵550,去年曾带我走过川藏,青海湖,已经走过6000公里。这次出行我只是稍稍保养变上路了,结果没想到骑行第一天车架就断了,幸好周叔帮我用铁钉固定了一下,不过也就坚持用了一天,两侧车架全部断裂,幸好已到阳江,我换上了全新的车架,继续赶路。确没想三天爆胎三次,还好周叔是补胎高手,五分钟就帮我搞定。在广东边境的每一天几乎都下雨,我们怕热,索性就直接淋雨,哈哈!3月28日,我们到达海安镇,在这里轮渡到海口。一路吹着海风,享受着旅行的快乐。周叔55岁左右,是户外高手,酷爱骑行。去年曾经从上海318的零公里开始一路骑行至拉萨。到达海口之后,另外一个骑友小顾也到达了海口,我们一起参观了海口市博物馆,海南大学,然后我们三人结伴一起环海南岛。我们从东线出发到三亚。环岛第一天,天下起了大雨,下午的时候雨停了,我们三个出发了,环岛正式开始,我们在40多公里处的道班搭帐篷,有个养护公路的阿姨真的很热心,让我们在里面搭帐篷,还为我们提供了洗澡的地方,给我们好大的木瓜吃!幸福,这就是简单的幸福!在这里我们与大自然亲密接触,很多很多的青蛙在草坪上跳来跳去,真是听取蛙声一片。 旅行之乐,在于美景,在于遇人,在于发现,寻找那些我们未知的、好奇的,或者曾经拥有、却被时间淡忘的珍宝。而我们最先寻获的,往往是自己的贪心和不知足。在去博鳌博鳌那里逛了一下,风景美如画!路边种的都是大片大片的菠萝。到了这里才知道原来菠萝是这么长的,菠萝蜜又是这样长的。看来走万卷书不如走万里路,这话可是真的。呵呵。小顾还跑到地理摘了两个菠萝,我们带路上吃,超有意思啦! 这一路走来,路边种植的都是热带水果,来海南,就让我们变成吃货吧!海南就是水果的天堂,是吃货的天堂哦!路过一个椰子的集散站,3块钱一个椰子,这样的酷暑天气,这样的叶子对我们骑行者来说实在是好宝贝,好吃又解渴! 也许旅游对大部分人来说是到景点观光拍照,买纪念品。而对我们来说,骑行式和背包式的旅行却能获得更多,这样的旅行能带来更多的惊喜和冒险,同时也有机会接触当地的人,对当地的文化及风俗可以有更进一步的了解。旅行的日子越久,走的地方越多,纪念品就买的越少,甚至不喜欢去游客多的地方。慢慢才发现,原来最美的景点一直都是在路上!那碧波荡漾的海水,浩瀚无垠的天空,三亚也许是很多人的梦中圣地!因而吸引了一批又一批的游客来到这里,尤以俄罗斯人居多。但对我来说,也许是在深圳看海看多了,所以来这里并没有太大的感觉!我们从西线回到海口,一路沿海边顺风骑行,时速可以达到30km/h,一天我们骑行180公里,两天到达海口,却并没有拍过多的照片。来到海口,我把我的车子外胎和链条,飞轮全部换新,为下面的旅行作准备。环完海南岛之后,我在海口把自行车保养了一下,把有些不用的行李寄回了家,成功减负,为我接下来的行程做准备!由于在海口遇到台风,未能及时买到去广西北海的船票,所以在海口多待了一天,在邮政寄行李的时候遇到了骑友小杨(健身教练),小杨也是资深骑友,骑自行车好多年,对海口也非常熟悉,晚上他带我们沿着海口的海岸线骑行,感受海风带给我们的清爽。2013年4月7日,终于买上了去北海的船票,我们五个人同行踏上了前往北海的船,上了船才知道,船上有好多骑友与背包客,都是“同道中人”,大家聊的热火朝天。 4月8日早上,本想早起看日出呢,没想到天空却飘起了小雨,日出是看不到啦!我们结伴五个骑友一起出发,广西的旅行正是开始啦! 我们早上骑行来到传说中的北海银滩,还从来没有见过这么漂亮的沙滩,洁白、细腻的沙滩会泛出银光,这里海天相连,波涛滚滚,一望无际,令人如入仙境,心旷神怡,流连忘返。 在前往东兴的路上,我们遇到了加拿大骑友Darren, 同是骑友,大家都感觉无比亲切。经过沟通才晓得,Darren也是要去东兴的,他要经过东兴口岸到越南去,因而我们下午就结伴一起走啦!我们一起来到东兴,周叔骑行比较快,已经帮我们订好了房间。Darren的座驾,在深圳买的新的。 到东兴后,发现东兴有好多山地车专卖店,听说车子是从越南走私过来的,不晓得是真是假。不过看起来很不错,Darren要去车店买链条油,但是店家却不懂英文,我只好当翻译啦!到了店里跟老板聊了大半天,店老板特别佩服Darren的勇气和毅力。最后给了Darren一个很好的价格。老板还建议我们从越南北线走,那段路风景又漂亮,又可以体验异国风情。吃晚饭的时候,经过商量,我们几个骑友决定尽下地主之谊,请Darren吃晚餐。聊天才晓得,Darren今年50岁啦,一辈子也未婚未育。他是把房子车子都卖了,才出来自行车旅行。他说,自行车旅行能够更好的体验当地的风土人情,能够让你与大自然亲密接触,自行车旅行能够让他以最小的花销走最多的地方,带他到达他想去的每一个角落,还可以锻炼身体。他的目是自行车环游世界。在此之前,他已经从伦敦出发,骑行欧亚大陆来到中国,已经走过一万多公里啦!听他讲完,我们佩服的五体投地,不是每个驴友都能抛下一切去旅行的,这需要多么大的勇气和毅力呀! 能够认真地做自己喜欢的事情,当真是不可多得的幸福,一旦这样,我们便可以把一切令我们不安与恐惧的事情拒之门外,只要能够改变自己身边的一方小小天地,用执着的态度坚持不懈地耕耘它,便是肉眼凡胎如我的一切芸芸众生存在的理由、自信的来源,与坚定的依持。 4月10号一大早我们送DARREN从东兴口岸进了越南,但是我们都没有彼此的联系方式,就跟DARREN分开了!经过商量,我和周叔决定走越南北线,从东兴口岸入境,经过下龙湾,海防,河内,从中国河口出境。我们一拍即合,马上联系旅行社办了越南的证。证速度也快,只需要一天就可以办下来,费用400元。秦叔也让家人把护照顺丰了过来,但还是比我们晚了2天。我和周叔4月11号早上在东兴口岸兑换了越南盾,想着只在越南待10来天, 我自己兑换了900元的越南盾,就匆匆过海关啦!好黑的越南海关,每个关口都收钱,一共3个关口,一共收了150块人民币。结果到后来我们问了当地人才知道,这些钱根本不用给的。东兴与越南芒街只是相隔一条河,中国的手机在芒街也是可以使用。到越南第一件事就是换了手机卡,越南当地大部分人不会英文也不会中文,我们只好用手比划进行沟通。本想继续向前赶路,不料下起雨来,我跟周叔就找了一家家庭旅馆住下,环境还不错!住下之后,我们出去逛了下去寻找当地的美食,其实物价跟国内价格是差不多,一碗粉8-10元,水果也和国内价格差不多,并没有传说中的便宜。 我们早早的在芒街住下了,准备明天出发到下龙湾。晚上无聊,就把自己换的200多万越南盾拿来拍照发微博,之后就把money和手机都装在腰包里就睡觉啦!却不想,第二天早上起来,发现我的手机和200多万越南盾全部不见了。谁能料想这些东西会在这样的家庭旅馆自己丢失呢!这可是我10天的全部费用哦!难不成是昨天拿手机给老板看翻译,他瞄上了我的手机,还是房间内装有监控,我们不得而知。我急忙告诉周叔,他检查了一下他的东西都在,幸好我的sony微单在一个角落里充电,还在。没想到到越南第一天竟遇上这种事情,于是下楼找老板理论了半天,由于语言不通,老板用干巴巴的中文说我们没关窗户,是我们自己的责任。说是只愿意赔偿我200RMB, 要我们不要报警,说报警一分钱也没有。在这样的异国他乡,我们也不晓得该怎么办啦!出去逛了一圈,找到当地的派出所,虽然这里和中国只有一河之隔,却不想没一个人懂中文或英文。晕!只好作罢!谁叫咱在国外呢,想来如果这种事情在国内也很难说个清楚。幸好国内手机在这里还有信号,我就借来周叔的手机,装上自己的电话卡,给准备到越南来的秦叔打了电话,让他帮我多换一千左右的越南盾。要不还真不小的接下来怎么走。当天既然没走成,我和周叔只好去压马路啦!却不想在逛街再一次遇到加拿大骑友Darren,本以为他已经走了好几天了,没想到他也还在这里。好兴奋,我们来了一个大大的拥抱,这这种情况下,真是不是亲人胜似亲人。我们一起买水果吃,Darren买的好甜好甜的菠萝蜜,顿时洗去了我丢失手机的阴影。我们一起吃的晚餐,越南粉。挺特别的,可以加好多青菜,蛮好吃!在这里还认识了一个意大利驴友。大家都聊得很high。我们约好第二天一起等到秦叔再一起出发前往下龙湾。 旅行的美感,往往存在于和我们平常生活犹如遥隔天海般的巨大反差之中。那些快乐的,悲伤的,都成为我们永久的记忆。4月13日早上,我,周叔,Darren一起去口岸接了秦叔,大家一起上路了。秦叔已经60多岁啦!他是一位只是渊博的学者,喜欢专研政治。他也是资深自行车爱好者, 平时也加入自行车俱乐部,他的目是骑行穿越西藏。 我们沿着越南海岸线一路南下,风景秀丽无比,山水田园,想着当地人的生活无不惬意。我们骑行两天就到达了下龙湾,一个被称为“水上桂林”的地方。风景确实美如画,真正置身其中,你才真正能体会到什么叫做身在画中游。越南粉 我们沿着越南海岸线一路南下,风景秀丽无比,山水田园,想着当地人的生活无不惬意。我们骑行两天就到达了下龙湾,一个被称为“水上桂林”的地方。风景确实美如画,真正置身其中,你才真正能体会到什么叫做身在画中游。下龙湾海景 沿着下龙湾一路往东,沿途都是喀斯特地貌。很美。由于中午天气太热,我们就在路边休息,顺便把洗的未干的衣服拿出来晾一晾。听秦叔讲了好多共济会的事情。想不到他居然会研究如此多的东西,学问如此之大,不亚于名校大学教授级别。佩服啊!突然发现越南的女人都非常的能干,一个普通妇女都能干这么重的活,也许都是生活所迫吧! 晚上到达下龙湾,我和Darren约好去逛一下市区。海防的夜晚宁静,清凉。非常安静的美!我和Darren还在广场看到一尊雕像,Darren非说是菩萨,而对我们亚洲人来说,一看便知那时一名将军。海防的夜晚是那么的静谧! 夜色中的海防,有小情侣在拍照!还有越南非常好吃的甜品饮料,一份折合人民币三块钱,我和Darren一人吃了两份!好好吃!怀念中! 因为这尊雕塑,我们僵持半天,我们问了路边的一对小夫妻,他们告诉我们说那是他们那里很有名的一名将军,是她保卫着当地人民的幸福生活。不聊天不晓得,这对小夫妻女孩是中国广西人,之前在越南教中文,男孩是他的学生,男孩对女孩展开疯狂追求,于是就有了这么一段美好浪漫的跨国恋。 4月16日,我们从海防骑行到越南首都河内。路上来往的车辆挺多的,下午我们早早的就到达了河内。河内的发展感觉跟中国的二三线城市差不多,特别多的电动车和摩托车。在闹市区,也有特别多的欧洲的背包客汇聚于此,热闹非凡!这里是越南首都的志性地表,相当于中国的天安门级别的! 越南的很多古建筑,寺庙都跟来源于中国,因而在那里能够看到很多的汉字诗文。 在越南休整了一天,我们就依依不舍的跟Darren告别,因为他要往南骑行到南越,而我们却要往北回国。从河内往回走的路上,风光依旧秀丽无比,时而有起伏比较大的长坡,这些对我来说都没问,但秦叔却有些吃不消,一爬坡就大喘气。我只好在后面等他。没想到周叔骑行太快,竟然与我们走散了。在这样的异国他乡,周叔没有手机,没有地图,不懂越语,我们就此失去了联系。 就这样,后来的三天回国路,我担心了周叔整整三天三夜,晚上也睡不好觉,不晓得周叔自己能不能回去。我跟秦叔每天都在路边休息等周叔两个小时,却依旧没能等到他!在越南的最后一天, 秦叔非要请我吃饭,瞧瞧我们的最后一餐,还挺丰盛的,但是量太大了,我们只好打包走! 怀着忐忑不安的心情,我们终于来到了越南老街,而对岸就是云南河口啦!好兴奋,终于回国来,感觉无比亲切,还是中国好! 一到中国,我就迫不及待的给周叔打电话,但是还是一直打不通,想来他应该还在越南吧!到了河口,我们把剩余没用的越南盾换回人民币,便继续往前赶路啦!本以为往前20公里左右就有住的地方,但是我们一直沿着边境线骑行,河对岸就是越南,前不着村,后不着店,眼看天就黑了下来,我们只好打着手电继续赶路,越往前走我的心里越发忐忑不安,秦叔说这一带是走私贩毒特别严重的地带,这么晚骑行很不安全。我的心里害怕极了。幸好路上来往还有一些大货车,我的心里稍许平静了一些。走了好久,漆黑一片,在这伸手不见五指的黑夜,我和秦叔只好硬着头皮往前走,值得安慰的是秦叔带的“护身工具”挺齐全的,我一直嘲笑他带那么多的东西,现在想来说不定还真有用到的时候。秦叔带的锁链一直拴在腰间,手里还握着手电电警棍。他让我不要骑得离他太远。这个时刻,我也只有心理默念,祈祷我们的车子千万不要出问啊! 又过了好久,我们到了一个兵站,兵哥哥告诉我们前面5公里左右就有住的地方了,我们的心才算平静了下来。 到国内两天之后,周叔的电话终于打通了,原来他真的走错了路,翻了两座大山,每天都好几罐8264,一路往北,终于到达了中国的一个小边境口岸,我悬着的心终于松下来了!与小杨和小顾联系上之后,我们大家决定在元阳汇合。然后一起去西双版纳。4月21日,我们开始前往元阳方向的骑行,由于都是盘山公里,秦叔可能有些吃不消,他说我们跟小杨小顾汇合之后,就我们三个一起骑,他速度太慢了,要我们不要等他。他自己单骑能力很强的。我们顺理成章的跟他们在元阳汇合。卖香蕉的阿姨!小顾也要感受下背篓的分量!瞧瞧小杨,肌肉还是挺发达的呢!([]

There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. The following day I found a vehicle heading to Jieshan Daban.The sand storm over Yarlung Zangbo RiverA lonely peach tree blossoming in Yarlung Zangbo Grand CanyonNatural hot spring in wild, me singing and drinking (photo by a friend of mine) Day 1(April 20), 16km, Camping 5192mIt was a truck with a full load of iron wastes, arriving in Jieshan Daban at 6'o clock in the morning. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. Orchid-like weedsSmall springs everywhere, clear and chillyA thin layer of ice covering the fresh spring water The sheep cote, it was the door under the sleeping bag, which was in the same place as last year, everything looked like yesterdayThe wetland at duskLungmu Co at dusk. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Continue to melt the ice under the morning sunshine, all of the sheep poo had been removed carefullyCamping site, the little hill over there was the place where I got the ice last nightThe house by the Luxing Hu, empty, the last permanent building I saw throughout my journeyDay 5 (April 24), 19.8km, Camping 4951mSet off at 10.30 in the morning, the weather was similar to yesterday. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. I set up the tent comfortably because I knew that I was safe having such a sweet spring beside me.Triangulation station erected by scientists from the joint research team on Chang Tang of three military regiments in 1971[size=+0]The gap between water and ice in Bungdag Co, I guessed there must be some springs under the lakeThe storm just above the ground, a chaotic darkness[size=+0]Icy Bungdag Co,one of the four biggest lakes in Northern Tibet, wild ducks flying over this vastness and lonenessSnowing at any time, should not happen so frequently like this in this seasonDay 6 (April 25), 4.3km, Camping 5002mWeathering landforms everywhere around this area. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. The mixture of green and amber colour showed the sand and mud carried by the melted iceThick layer of ice, sunken surface caused by strong gustsThe south course of the Yinshui He, countless small streams. To the right was the wetlandLooking for ways in the east, a trace of pasturing and the cairn made from spongy volcanic rocksMy camp, opposite to the hillDay 7 (April 26), 11km, Camping 5009mI moved forward to the direction I found yesterday, turning around the wetland and walking toward east. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. The accuracy of this prediction was about 80%.The road was very bad today. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The nightmare was over.Cold and clear morningHeavy morning condensation in the interior, a lot of frost to clearSuch dawning sunlight indicated a cloudy day ahead Day 9 (April 28), 18km, 5072mIn the morning I entered a range of sandy roads which were so terrible. The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. This was just because I found there was a little bit of extra space when I was in Nagri packing the stuff for this journey so that I bought two packs of cereals. It tasted disgusting, probably there was too much alkali in the water. I threw away half of it. Later I realised that probably I subconsciously felt that the provisions was so heavy. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Therefore, the then government called on people to cull back the population of the wolves in Chang Tang, which resulted in the current situation directly. The last official record about wolves attacking humans was around 1970s, which happened in Bamaoqiongzong. A team of secientists was surrounded by a group of wolves and they had to shoot them using guns. Of course, at present in Chang Tang, wolves are absolutely lonely.In this traverse, the first time I encountered a pair of wolves, one of them staying in front of me pretending to attack me while the other staying behind me. This is the standard attacking strategy of wolves. First, you should not be nervous which can be easily detected by the predators. Second, you should not retreat even an inch because this means you are the prey rather than the predator. Do not make any large movement, of course you could take a picture if you feel safe to do so. You must look into its eyes for a few minutes or even half an hour. When the wolves can not work out who you are and consider you are not posing any danger to them, then they will leave. You should remember that wolves in this land do not lack of food and it is much easy for them to catch a pika than a human. Even if being hungry, they would evaluate how easy to get you done, What you need to do is to show them that you are not interested in them and you are not afraid of them at all, let alone to show your ID card to them. As for the wolves family, really, I have not heard for ages. If you really have an encounter with them and they have no other choice, then it definitely depends on your forture. In fact, for so many year, it has been very rare to happen that wolves kill human. But the rumours are still there, in particular, the road connecting Xinjiang and Tibet.The nearest encounter with a wolf throughout my journey, no conflict at all[Brown Bears]Brown bears are real dangerous animals to human. Every year there are some accidents happened in some regions of Xinjiang on the north side of Kunkun Mountains and steppes in Northern Tibet. More than that the bears could attack your house, smash your windows, and eat your sheep. Therefore, in Northern Tibet some local councils give subsidies to the pastorarists for compensating the losses due to the bears because they are not allow to fight back and kill the bears except their lives are in great danger. Once there was a nomad taught me a method to protect yourself from bears. He told me to pick up a stick to feed the bear and the bear thinks the stick is your hand which tastes disgusting. So the bear would leave. It was so funny but the reality is to find a stick in this vast wilderness is just like you win the lottery.Bears are omonivorous animal who are generally not interested in human flesh. You can find that in most of accidents, the bears did not eat any of the human flesh rather they just smashed them for kind of fun that we could not understand. For the reason why bears kill human, one explanation is the conflict between human and wildlife in this extreme ecological environment. The nomads invade the habitats of the bears, which results in these conflicts. On the other hand, it might be because bears have quite high IQ so that they think it is much easy to kill a sheep in the cote rather than to kill a pika in the wild.I have met bears five times in my traverse, in two cases we were very close to each other. I had even walked with one of them for quite a while, just like we had a date for a walk. The fact is it is not that terrible like you might imagine. The same rules for dealing with wolves apply to bears. Never provoke dangerous animals. A bear can run at a speed of 40km/h, do you think you can compete this in a highland 5,000m above sea level?However, there is a situation where it is really dangerous, that is the encounter. It is not easy to control your instinctive reaction to the external dangers. Last year once I turned around a hill, there was a bear just in front of me. The bear of course was frightened by me with its front legs holding up, waving in the air and roaring. At that time I sat on the ground, ignoring it. The bear then left in a few minutes. I will no longer talk about it.This was the funniest encounter with a solitary wild yak, who did not warn me. If I sat down, it sat down too. If I moved forward, it stopped. Could not imagine what it was thinking about.[Crows]Crows are dangerous only when you fall unconscious in the wilderness. Of course they will be the first to taste your flesh in that case. Unlike their cousinsliving in urban areas, the crows in Chang Tang have a larger body like eagles. When they fly over your head, you could feel like it is a piece of cloud. They are scavengers but like fresh meat too. It once happened that a baby was killed by crows relentlessly, let alone the lambs got killed by them. Once a nomad asked me for fireworks to scare the crows away. (They are sacred birds not to be killed by human)It is easy to defend yourself against crows, that is to keep fighting, never fall in the wilderness.A short break attracted the crows. Of course, they were miscalculating this time, photo taken last year[Strategies Adopted]At the time when I met the four soldiers in Jieshan Daban, they said there were many dangerous animals in the Northern Tibet and asked me if I had brought a shotgun. I think if they knew that I would enter Chang Tang they would definitely check if I really have a shotgun. The so-called defence facilities I brought with me were the fireworks and pepper spray. I had never used them. The fireworks were ruined and thrown away when I crossed a river and I had never opened the pepper spray. I even had never thought about this when camping in the night. The reason was I did not feel the needs. During the day time whenever I met any animals I had never touched the knife I had brought. I did not have anything to defend myself when I walked out to investigate the route. The Chang Tang is really a vast area so as to be very easy to detect anything strange.By the way, you'd better to avoid mating season's animals because even tamed rabbits could be aggressive in mating season.The thing is even if you have a gun, it is not very much helpful when bears attack you. Therefore, your attitude is most important.I can tell you something. Dogs are more dangerous than these wild animals. I had been chased by Tibetan dogs, pounced on by dogs in mating season, also besieged by a group of dogs. I really feel it is more useful to know how to defend a dog.Declaration again The above experience is from Chang Tang only. Of course, the more you prepared, the better. Day 12 (May 1), 23.8km, Camping 5117mToday was May 1 -- the Labour Day, I had been walking in some lake area marked in the map but clearly dried up. The lake basin was flat and hard so that I even pushed my bike more than 20km. Let it be the special treat for my May Day. After midday it became cloudy with growing winds. Since the Yueya Hu that I passed yesterday, there were no big lakes until Yanghu Co (My route would be between Jianshui Hu and Bairab Co), there was even no light alkaline water to drink so I had to pay extra attention not to miss any possible drinking water supply to fill up my water bag. There were a few very small lakes but all were alkaline puddles which was very shallow, whose depth was no more than the length of a half-finger. These puddles were covered with a hard shell of the mixture of salt and ice which smelled stinking and decaying when getting closer, must be toxic water I supposed. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. The flat ancient lake basin, assisting me walking more than 20kmSmall lake en route, toxic waterSnow corns, the only drinking water supply today Day 13 (May 2), 0km, Camping 5117mWaking up in the morning and opening the tent, the heavy snow outside must be sent by the God to force me have a break for the May Day. After lying in for a while, getting up and walking on the snowy ground out I went to have a look around. As first sight there were a herd of chirus. They were plainly to be spotted because they looked like a clear black straight line in the while snow. I returned to get my camera and then followed them to take some pictures. But they were very much alert and kept a quite long distance from me. I felt they were a group of pregnant females, instinctively protecting themselves from any potential harm. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
