发帖子前,我犹豫了很久到底要不要发这个帖,在夏特路上,老孤说过,“能花力气写帖子的人,肯定没力气走路”。虽然我对他这种言论嗤之以鼻,但迫于他的淫威,我一路忍着。老孤问我:夏特好玩不?我说不好玩,他说有机会带我玩好玩的,能让我骂爹的。我知道他说的是狼塔C,所以在走狼C之前,我都得顺着他。关于夏特穿越,有爱美丽的大帖在,咱的帖子就凑合着看看,其实,我是冲着奖品中那个野餐篮来的。当然,这一路的点滴,也应该记录下来。近五天的穿越,让一群来自五湖四海的陌生人,成为了好兄弟,好姐妹,还有什么比这个更重要呢。先放几张图片,作为漫步夏特记的引子。写帖其实是一个回忆和看片的过程,而回忆和看片往往容易让自己“热泪盈眶”。谢谢一起陪伴走过的那些兄弟姐妹,老孤、五道黑、农夫、菲儿姐、蓝色、KK、花花、半仙,谢谢静尘姐姐……很多很多,谢谢天公作美,五天的万里无云天气,赐给我一个白白的眼镜框……一起翻过达坂一起走过冰川一起趟过冰河其实我很鄙视自己的优柔寡断,在狼C与夏特之间,居然纠结了好长时间。在临近出发不得不做出选择时,居然用了抛硬币的办法,正面是狼C,反面是夏特,结果连抛三次,都是反面。既然与夏特有缘,就走夏特吧!30日下午,迫不及待屁颠屁颠赶往机场,晚点半小时。队伍在乌鲁木齐最晚等我到20点,若赶不上,就走狼C了,实在不行,还可以去喀纳斯腐败一圈。这里要谢谢砾石周到的安排,接机后在半路截住了队伍的大巴,才得以顺利坐上前往昭苏的大巴。瘸子、登陆、花花、木头、半仙……我们这些人在群里早已聊得火热,俨然一个亲友团。走夏特之前,因为肠炎,我已经一周没有吃米饭,都是喝一些流质的食物,也没有碰肉,还吃了一堆抗生素,整个身子软绵绵的,浑身没劲。包里还带着一周的药量。上车后,菲尔姐递给我一个鸡腿,我饿的实在慌,也管不了那么多了,几口就吞了下去,并祈祷着肚子别翻江倒海。一夜好眠。在昭苏县城吃完早餐后,我们赶往夏特乡。听说,还有一个捐助仪式。在夏特边防派出所老孤是个大好人,说白了是dao嘴豆腐心。似乎那些贫困山区的父老乡亲们都认识他,想必是经常搞公益活动。这次走夏特,老孤带队,是缘于江枫。江枫要去祭拜他的好友青城,因为这份情谊,所以本打算不再走夏特的老孤,再走最后一次夏特。老孤说,他已经走了12次夏特,8次狼C,已经走得快吐了,再走两次狼C,他就不再带队走这两条线,而要走新线路了。你看他的脑门,都走秃了,照相时只要对着他的脑门就曝光过度。队伍在夏特乡边防派出所和小朋友们合影!捐赠结束后,我们赶往夏特古道公园入口。在这里,要与管理部门交涉,才能进入。这位美女叫蓉蓉,五道黑全程保护的对象,关系可想而知。关于五道黑,有好多传说,总之,是个人物!木头也忍不住摆骚,这家伙体力很好,全程见不到他屁股。夏特古道穿越许可证靠着车窗,大伙轮流订“生死状”,大约是出了事情,景区等部门没有责任之类。当时心里还挺有点挺小感慨的,这场面,有那么一点悲壮吧。办完手续后,进入景区,中巴车载着我们一路颠簸地驶往徒步起点。路过山神处,下车拜过,保佑我们一行安全穿越。中巴车将我们送至徒步起点,在这里,看到了几家牧民。正收拾背包准备往肩上扛的时候,老孤说有人愿意再往里送我们一程,费用也不贵,于是,刚把包从中巴车上拿下来,又往卡车上搬。二十多个人,站在一辆拉马的卡车上,颠簸着浩浩荡荡驶向小木屋。一路,要不停地躲闪来自小道两边树枝的侵袭。天空很蓝,在车子停下寻路的间隙,也不忘照上两张。第一次到新疆,这里的景色,对我来说,充满新鲜感。到了小木屋后,夏特徒步算式真正开始。第一天的路很轻松,走过夏特牧场,到河边,就到了我们的营地。路也好走,有清晰的马道,应该是为明天的达坂翻越热身。出发之前,大伙合影。我、KK和半仙已经迫不及待地背上了背包。一行中,大雨、彼得、花花、龙四都是走过狼C的,大雨还登顶过慕士塔格峰,这次是第二次走夏特,花花和龙四是刚从狼C回来,又赶上了夏特的队伍。我们膜拜花花,认为她是狼C和夏特连走的第一个美女。龙四已经在新疆泡了好几个月,走完夏特,又要赶往昆仑山拣玉石。半仙登过哈巴和玉珠,走起路来不带停的。我不知道老孤的包有多重,只知道包里装了一大袋子大米,好几个锅。休息的时候,他掂量了一下靠在他包上的背包,问谁的,我说我的,他狠狠踹了包一脚,骂好轻……我的包20公斤,确实有点轻。 当然,我也不会忘记组织。我了表示我对组织的忠诚,我一开始就套上了组织的背包罩,只是觉得这个背包罩太软了,不够硬朗。我还带了组织的旗帜,但可悲的是这一路居然忘了拿出来晒晒。在一处平地休息,等待后面的队员。天空似乎飘起了黑云,要下雨的样子,风也大了起来,只好放下包,穿上冲锋衣。这个时候,已经是下午4点多,离我们的营地,大概还有1个小时的路程。夏特穿越,居然已经在不知不觉中开始了。五道黑深邃的目光五道黑,是一种鱼的名字,分布于位于新疆的额尔齐斯河与乌伦古河流域,相必是中肉质鲜美的鱼。我们亲切的称他为道黑,因为不顺口,也有人称他为黑道。于是,一个温文尔雅的名字,就开始带点暴力色彩了。道黑这一路,是鞍前马后,用实际行动阐释着什么叫做一个合格的护花使者。让他领路,太不现实,让他收队,更是不成气候,他就围着他的蓉蓉转。我想,道黑的女朋友应该是很幸福的,你瞧蓉蓉脸上的笑容就知道了。江枫,黝黑的脸,可以看出也是一个老江湖了。这一路,江枫基本上都和赵赵美女走在一块,他两其实算得上真正的收队,属于那种走起路来不慌不忙,处处留影的人。某晚,隔着帐篷,这两人还在交流一路上的照片。只听见江枫在抱怨:“赵赵,你拍的咋都是斜的?”赵赵答曰这其实是一种拍摄手法。花花,原名青瓷花,四川美女,长得很妖精。和花花的初次交流是在夏特乡派出所外边。那会才知道她走遍了川西的所有线路,刚从狼C回来那会,全身都浮肿,刚消肿就来了夏特。我心想这女子咋这么厉害,看样子不像啊。不知道听谁说花花的女儿1岁,以至于我一直以为她是一个1岁孩子的母亲,各回各家后交流才知道事情真相。菲尔姐,刚上车那会便塞给我一个鸡腿和两包静尘姐带给我的干果和牛肉干,一路上,对我们照顾的无微不至,每天晚上都吃到了可口的饭菜,手艺绝对超过五星级酒店的大厨。菲儿姐这一路走的很辛苦,背着一个岩石搬坚硬的背包,到了营地还要生活做饭,甚至回到乌鲁木齐,还给我们包了很多盘酱牛肉包子……菲儿姐,辛苦了!花花和菲儿姐的合影!KK,在哈密的云南人,不明白“KK”是何含义。调侃高手,一路上,大部分人都被他调侃过,部分人还被她调戏过,连老孤、农夫也不例外,尤其是花花,从乌鲁木齐开始被调侃,一直到了昭苏,过了夏特,到了阿克苏,回到乌鲁木齐,仍然是KK的重点调侃对象,可谓至交。追究KK调侃功夫为何这么高深,他自曝大学时曾被辅导员调侃过,青出于蓝而胜于蓝,于是就有了现在的KK。听说KK走乌孙古道过冰河时掉了进去,心灵受到了严重的创伤,所谓“一朝被蛇咬,十年怕井绳”,在夏特过冰河时,看他一手抓着绳子,一手挽着花花的样子,还有那惊恐的眼神,就知道伤得不轻。嘿嘿,名字很怪,我第一时间就想到了嘿咻!也是行走在第一梯队的强人。喜欢脱个精光拍裸照。我观察了,肚子上其实肥肉不少,但总体讲,肌肉厚度还是盖过了肥肉厚度。酒量一流,和老孤、KK等有的一拼,不像我,三杯下肚就找不着北了。路很好走,大伙走得甚至都有点散漫。其实我们是一支严格听从领队指挥的队伍,这在过冰河那天得到了充分的体现。老孤自己也对我们的纪律性大肆称赞。全程下来,我没见他用杖尖戳过人,可见我们有多听话。也没办法,夏特这样的路,不乖不行。我是看出来了,我的这些队友都是走路的料,吭哧吭哧走路都不怎么爱拍照。远处的雪山,近处的牧场,行走的队友,很和谐啊!和龙四交流了一下,小家伙来自广东,搞得是摄影职业,那会说的是走完夏特要到尼雅遗址,然后从敦煌到甘南,再到尼泊尔晃荡一个月。我表示羡慕,他表示付出了很大的代价。可能这一圈下来,要破产了吧,所以他后来改去昆仑山找玉石了。云越来越厚,眼看快要下雨了,加快脚步赶往营地。到达营地的时候,已经飘起了雨,淅淅沥沥的。在树下找了块平地,赶紧搭起帐篷。我带的是单人帐,比较轻,主要还是习惯一个人睡,再则也没有美女愿意与我混帐。晒晒刚买不久的帐篷,之前在太白用了一次,感觉一般般,比较中庸。早早地钻进帐篷,等待后面的队友。帐篷空间比较狭小,里面放下一个80L的包后,腿就无法完全伸直。这个时候,我才打开老孤给我的那个路餐袋子,看看里面究竟有啥。馕、卤蛋、咸菜、烤肠……这样的馕,从来没吃过,感觉很有负担。事实证明,我的确不擅长吃囊,走完夏特后,我居然还有3个馕没吃。倒是那包坚果和牛肉干,成了我的最爱。我们的营地([]

一路向西----我的四姑娘东方圣山中国名山蜀山之后中国的阿尔卑斯最美穿越线路—长坪沟毕棚沟十大登山名山之一 户外登山者的天堂顺顺一路向西之四姑娘 写在出行前我是一个没有梦想的人,至少梦想对我来说不是经常出现的东西~于是,每每在生活中显现出来的就是随意与散漫。这或许源于生活状态,或许源于心底的想法,总之,很少会去执着于什么理想之类的东西。。。。。。得到了,不会欣喜若狂,失去了也不会伤心失望,我信缘份,也信天意~当我知道四姑娘山的时候,我还仅限于为别人做出行计划的阶段,查资料,看游记,与当地的协作沟通这都是工作的一部分,然后看着队员出发,看着他们回来的兴奋,我倒没觉得这个地方是我一定要去的,或是那样的高度根本就不是我所想岂及的~一切都在平淡平常中渡过。。。。。但是,也许是冥冥注定,从此后倒多留意了四姑娘山的游记。或许梦想就是这样一点点的生根的,以至于到最后发了芽,牢牢的长在心里,而自己倒不觉得。直到有一天,朋友说,过年是去越南好呢,还是柬甫寨好?我随口说了句,四姑娘山好。十分钟后,朋友问我,你说的靠谱不?当时我神经搭错了吧,只是很肯定的说:“靠”!!!于是,四姑娘山之行,成行!!!由于事前已经做过一次计划,很多功课已经不需要再做,高山协作自然而然的选择的是四姑娘山雪山之巅高山协作队扎西的队伍。因为曾经合作过,对他充满了信任,在平时的沟通中,能感觉到这个是直率的藏族小伙子,而我这样的个性也适合与这样耿直的人打交道。那么此次出行,有了好的旅伴,又有了放心的协作,剩下的,就是等待出行的日子了。 为四姑娘山雪山之巅高山协作队扎西做一个专版的广告协作领队:扎西格绒 (汉名:余强)电话:13778474311 QQ:1339978326很正式的为扎西做一个首版广告,源于他的真诚,藏族人的耿直绝对周到又细致登山服务。1:1的协作配比,强大的登山安全保证!!! 附上全队人的照片,特此向扎西协作队表示敬意。谢谢协作们的辛苦付出。是你们成就了我们的雪山之梦另附一张全体人各种不在状态的合影前图片,欢乐的不得了我就没想明白,大家这是干嘛呢~ 没有旅行的生活只能称为生存,人的一生要有两次冲动,一次是为奋不顾身的爱情,一次是为说走就走的旅 行---《上得天堂,下得地狱》我没有为爱情而奋不顾身过,但是这次出行,却是我一生唯一的一次说走就走~~~只是为了你,我的四姑娘!带上我心爱的小驴~~出发机场大巴 机场里的我,思维混乱,近他情怯,当思念即将成真的时候,有种不敢相信的小混乱~期盼又紧张深刻的体会到,等待也是一种幸福!煎熬的幸福! 在机场里转来转去,熬到登机时间,熬到起飞时间,熬到落地时间。。。。。终于我能抵达离你最近的城市:成都,我来了!!! 锦里,白天的繁华我没有体会到,夜晚,你给我的另一个动人的姿态,是不是让我用另一种心情去爱上你~擦肩而过的夜晚,或许我们还有再相见的一天。 入住扎西给预订好的梦之旅青年旅舍,我与朋友们笑言,咱们还算是青年么?驴哥爽朗的笑道,咱算正当年。哈哈,于是安心入住。手机里传来了短信提示音,司机说早七点会在青旅接我们,于是这一夜注定了就是时常看表的状态,祈盼着时间你快点快点快点过~成都的天亮来的好晚,七点钟竟然天光未亮,让我多少有了点小时差~要知道,这时候哈尔滨已经天光大亮了。 现在想来,我从哈尔滨出发到成都,再从成都出发到日隆,这一路的心都在期盼,紧张和向往之中煎熬着的。绕过这些弯弯的山路,体验了4400米的高山反应,脚底无跟头部剧痛,眼前模糊,喘气不匀。。。这些,就是四姑娘给我带来的一个小见面礼吧?那么,接下来的几天我将怎么渡过?心里充满了忐忑,高反这关必须挺过,如何挺,我不知道。但是我知道,我是有带着一颗并不一定冲顶的心来的,或许,我只是为了看一眼梦中的四姑娘,只是为了被你的怀抱包容。 你瞅啥呢? 楼上的小驴原来在瞅这位呢~~~~ 路途中的美食也不能错过,但是东北人到了四川真的感觉是那么的不习惯,半路吃饭的饭店屋子里好冷,喝了多少热水也不解决问,好在车上人挤人的比较暖和~我们的午餐,六个人,五菜一汤,点多了。不过卧龙四友饭店的腊排骨确实是味道极佳,不妨一尝。 一路上越走越晕,以至于沿途的美景都没有仔细的欣赏,相机也懒得拿出来, 当然也是因为我的拍摄位置不是很佳。。。当时看到前排的队友们一路狠拍,我就马上心里有极大的安慰,回去就跟你们要就好了~但是现在写起贴子来就感觉到比较不顺手了~自己有,比谁有都强~哈哈 越近日隆心里越怯,到了猫鼻梁,下车,第一眼看到四姑娘一下就惊呆了,无数次贴子里看到这个位置,这个样子的四 姑娘山,当真实呈现在眼前的时候,那种惊心动魄是绝对真实 的。面对圣山的朝拜之心,让我不禁想就这样注视下去。在心里,一遍一遍的祈祷,一遍一遍的祝福~~~ 临行前写了个日志,大意就是越走近你越觉得有些怯意 现在越来越贴近你的时候,突然就有了一种轻松,反正我来了,能咋样呢? 事先 应对高反做足了功课,红景天,深蹲(小声说下,这个不大认真的哦,结果登山的 时候知道了这是吃了大亏喽,如果好好练习深蹲,我上山就肯定不会那么吃力了) 日 隆,我们来了~扎西,你这时候是不是也满紧张的?怕我们来了把你家扫荡光,尤其是那在我们想象中满院子飞奔的山鸡野味啥的~实话说,我真心也是这么想的,你发贴子馋了我们那么久的土鸡汤,那么多的好吃的,终于,向我们扑面而来~~~ 梦想中最重要的一环是在扎西家的天台上晒太阳,发呆,看山,看水~那么大年初二的下午就是我们美梦成真的一刻。各种太阳晒的懒懒散散的,两个可爱的孩子陪我们嬉笑玩耍~~~小吃,红景天,阳光,童趣,手工作业,构成了我们这个下午整个美好的画面。。。。。。 大年初二,扎西用藏民特有的方式迎接了我们,不能喝美酒用红景天,洁白的哈达每一人条,不偏不向,整洁舒适的房间,干净的被褥,当我晚上躺在里面时,真的可以闻到阳光的味道,这里离阳光是更近一些的吧! 双桥沟记---- 给自己多安排了一天适应高海拔,这个环节在后来的爬山中显现出了极其重要的作用。同时,也让我们在这一天里,收获了双桥沟的美景。也晒足了日隆的太阳。 各种美女抓拍,各种帅哥配合,各种欢乐的大笑。。。。。。还笑言,看没有高反吧, 没啥事吧。不错,我们的适应能力都还相当不错。于是,对第二天上大本营充满了信心小插曲是,我们来的时候是扎西给安排的面包车,回去的时候自然也是接我们,可是全体五人,没有一个人能正确认出司机,,,,这是不是也是高反的副作用? 逛累了自然就想到了吃,短信寻问扎西,镇上啥好吃?很快回复简短的四个字:绿叶饭店。于是顺字摸店,找是找到了,可是人家关门过年。很是郁闷撒。再看旁边有一家肥肠粉~吃点东西可是好不容易,波波折折。先是我交涉无果,似乎我说的他们听不懂,派出我们的翻译官谢谢去交涉,结果。。。也不咋地~最后,由我们东北大汉老会长亲自出马,连唬带吓的弄回了五碗肥肠粉。。。吃饱了自然是回扎西家继续晒太阳去。 长坪村的各种美,各种闲逛,和各种发呆~如果说爱上了四姑娘,就先从爱上这个小村子开始吧。我想要的生活,喂马,劈柴,周游世界,面朝四姑娘,春暖花开~~~~驴哥,你要纸么?一句话音没落地,旁边的栏杆里伸出了好几只拿纸的手。哎。。。太热情了! 悠闲的藏族姐妹们,我梦中的生活就是这样的。背着我的孙子,坐在村头,望着来来去去穿得花花绿绿户外衣服的前去登山的人们,心里想着,想当年,姐也是一样的意气风发,一样的不知天高地厚~~~现在,我就会在这里,看着你们~为你们祝福和祈祷一切顺利!!!加油,帅哥美女们!马儿,你告诉我,你是不是可烦那个给你照相的人了?他拿着镜头跟你比划了有半个钟头吧?来回路过的人都觉得,这四个人,跟头马较的什么劲呢?看这对未婚妻和未婚夫~~这恐怕是这次出行她们彼此最大的睡获了吧我喜欢这个小亭子~([]
历山为于山西省南部,地理坐为东经111°51′10″—112°5′35″,北纬35°16′30″—35°27′20″,总面积100平方公里,极顶舜王坪位于山西沁水、垣曲、翼城、阳城四县交界处,海拔2358米,是华北南部最高峰。 历山奇峰壁立、沟谷纵横,中心区域地形复杂、人迹罕至,因此保持了完好的原始面貌,被国务院于1982年确定为国家级自然保护区。历山核心区面积7541.5公顷,这里有华北面积最大、保存最完整的原始森林,各种植物多达1400多种,各种乔木、灌木达560余种,其中有8种属国家二、三类保护植物。此外还有菌种类植物资源如猴头、灵芝、银耳、冬虫夏草等。另有药材资源麝香、菖蒲、黄岑、党参、人参、何首乌、当归、苍术、五味子、连壳、籽黄等220种,年供全国各地百万斤以上。良好的植被为各种野生动物提供了良好的栖息地,这里有野生动物330余种,占山西境内动物种类的80%以上。其中有有金钱豹、黑鹳、金雕等国家一级保护动物9种。二级保护动物29种。历山还有悠久的历史及丰富的人文景观,舜王坪因舜耕于历而得名。《史记》记载:“舜生于蒲阪(今永济市),渔于获泽(今阳城县),耕于历山。”坪顶有总面积4000亩的高山草原,山巅有舜王庙、南天门、斩龙台等胜景。历山的另一高峰皇姑曼则传说是舜王的妻子蛾皇生活过的地方。然而,最吸引我的是历山神秘的72混沟。户外界有“墨脱归来不言路,混沟归来不言沟”之说,可见混沟名气之响。混沟是指以皇姑曼为中心呈扇形分布的72条沟谷,1936年阎锡山的部队为修铁路而伐木进入混沟,结果断送几十人性命,更有甚者说是进去一个团,只出来一个连;2002年中央电视台【早安中国】栏目和太原龙网组织了历山探险活动,全国征集户外志愿者1000多人,最后选拔出10人。在有强大后援、直升机配备的情况下,以一人中途死亡而兵败历山!打开网络,敲出混沟两字,随便一搜就会搜出一堆各种各样的传说、消息...... 一、好事多磨上路难 5年?还是6年?说不清始自几年前,我就开始关注历山,默默的为穿越历山做着前期准备,梦想着有一天能走进历山,走进混沟,然而那时有关历山的信息很少,更别说攻略了,直到06年后,河南驴友多支队伍先后去历山,历山的攻略才多了一些,然而种种原因我的历山行却迟迟没能进行。历山地处偏僻、交通不便,虽说距石家庄直线距离仅仅几百公里,但要去一次仅路上就要花差不多两整天时间,而穿越混沟一般需要3天时间,因此去一次历山至少要5天时间,再加上混沟地势复杂,只有天气晴好时才能进入,时间上还要留有一定余地,考虑到来往路费较高、路程占用时间较长的原因,本着少花钱多走路的原则,我在穿越混沟的基础上又增加了穿越东、西峡和舜王坪的计划,这样一来去一次历山就需要七天以上的时间,只有黄金周大假才有可能成行。考虑到春节不适于穿混沟,唯有天高气爽、雨雾概率小的十、一是去历山的最佳选择了。去年十、一我曾做出了穿越历山的计划。我的计划是由东川开始穿越,首先穿越东峡,再步行或乘车于后文堂,找向导毕俊杰带路上皇姑曼、穿混沟,出后河后再乘车回西哄哄(或后文堂),再穿西峡上舜王坪,最终从下川踏上返程。如果有时间的话,返程还可以去沁河古村落一游。计划是不错(至少自我感觉不错),但最后时刻却因报名人员少于最低4人的出行要求而中止计划。今天十、一,我再次发出了历山行的召集贴。历山穿越示意(根据记忆绘制,可能有误) 10.1很快就要到了。27日晚最后确定人员,有的本来有意参加的驴友因这事那事去不成,还好有5人确定出行,看来今年历山之行黄不了啦。28日6点就去买票,不料30日不论是到晋城的2163还是到济源方向的K589或K183票都已出完,想换成太原方向的车也没有合适的车次,无奈,快8点时又跑了一趟火车站,想实在不行只能买1日的票了。意外的是这时2163倒有了30日的票。出了火车票,不料下午老马又打电话说单位30日下午有重要的事,2163可是中午1点多的车,他下午有事企不是去不成了?老马又说此事没最后定,让等一下他的消息。“30日不行1日出发行不?如行我就与其它人勾通一下,改一下车票,推迟一天出发”。推迟一天意味着计划就要压缩行程,但没有办法,因为老马是两个人,他若去不成我们就只剩3个人了,那就少于最少4个人的出行要求。29日上午去改车票,工作人员告知1日的车票已全部售完,无法改(原来火车票字是要占用正常的车票额度的)。电话联系老马商量怎么办,老马开口的第一句话就是“一个坏消息,我肯定去不成了,推迟到1日出发也去不成了,因为夫人身体欠佳”。头痛,真让人头痛,难道又要重蹈去年取消活动的复辙?可票已出,取消出行的话仅退票就要损失好几十元钱的,更重要的是会让铁心走混沟的老于、efun寒心。关健时候幸亏老朋友老席冲破千难万阻顶了上来,这才保证了最低的出行人数,不过老席很不厚道的要敲我的竹杠,“你得请我,我要是不去你们又去不成了”。“啊呸!想的美”。30日是国庆前的最后一天,是我们国庆出行的第一天。中午1点,我和老于、efun、老席会齐于火车站,滚滚人潮中我们终于上路了。此行的4个队员:前排左efun、右为笔者,后排左老于、右为老席列车习惯性的晚点(对此我们已习以为常),走出晋城车站时已是晚上9点35分,车晚了一个多小时。一般人去历山都选择走垣曲或沁水,我却特立独行的选择了走阳城,因为从地图上看,我们穿越的起点东川村虽说属于沁水,但离阳城更近一点。由晋城坐班车到阳城换班车到口河,再由口河包小面或三轮车翻一道小梁就是东川。这样走比从晋城坐班车到沁水然后包车到东川费用要低一些。不过最终这个计划没能完全实现,这是后话。夜色中的晋城火车站找个小旅馆住一晚,第二天一早乘6点10分的班车,7点25分抵达阳城。打听去口河的车,一位工作人员操着很浓重的地方口音对我说:“去口河?坐8点去李圪瘩的车,那车现在还没来,你去问下那边停的那辆黄壳车,问他李圪瘩的车还来不来”。“黄壳车”?我转了一圈儿也没看到什么黄色的车。再问那个工作人员,那人很热情的把我领到了一辆开往横河的车前,“这不就是黄壳的车么”。我这才明白他说的“黄壳”是“横河”,原来当地口音横、黄不分。李圪瘩的车没来,我们只能坐这辆去横河的车,到索泉岭再包车,从地图上看索泉岭到口河大约10多公里。班车驶在阳城的街道上 班车司机为我们联系了一辆小面。索泉岭(李圪瘩与横河公路的忿路处)下车,小面已等在路旁,司机开口就要150。好家伙,虽说没走过这段路,但我知道索泉岭到东川不过20来公里,撑破天也到不了30公里,哪值150?讨价还价,一番语言大战,僵持了20多分钟后那个司机同意100元把我们送到东川。我们坐上了车,他又说他没去过东川,要去“问问路”。这一问问又来了,他叫来的一个老乡对我们说“去东川的路断了,三轮车都过不去,更别说汽车了”。小面司机说:“东川是去不了了,这么着吧,减20,80,我把你们送到裴圪台”。在我印象里从口河拐进去没多远就是裴圪台,离东川远着呢,但为了赶时间,我实在不想再争来争去,又认为断路的地方不会是裴圪台村边,应该更靠里,所以同意了司机的条件,但要求他尽量往前送一送,送到车确实不能再走为止。车上路了,一路上上下下,大约10多公里时过了一个明显的岔路,是水泥的岔路,心中怀疑那就是去裴圪台的路,但又觉的司机是当地人,即使没去过东川也不可能不知道去裴圪台的路吧,怀疑就没有说出来。再行不远是一个不小的村子,名柴圪瘩。听到柴圪瘩三个字,我意识到路肯定是走错了,下车一问,果然错已过了去裴圪台的路口。小面在柴圪瘩村准备掉头 柴圪瘩村的一户民居车掉过头来,向刚才看到的岔路奔去。拐进岔沟不过两公里裴圪台已到,过裴圪台村不过一里水泥路已到尽头,司机说前边的路不能跑了。看看前边的路确实不强,我们只好下车。整包上路,边走边议论:此地距我们下班车的索泉岭不到15公里,这么近的地方作为当地人不可能不知道这条岔路。老席说这点路最多值50元,司机所做的一切(问路、跑错路等)都是在表演节目,我们被小小的涮了一把。唉,人在江湖飘,哪能不挨刀。水泥路的尽头众人在做出发前的准备 二、牛刀小试东峡路10点55分,我们沿着一条有无数车辙的三轮车路上路了。按我事先的计划,我们本来要在今天10点前后到达东川,再用大约4小时的时间穿越东峡,然后在天黑前赶到后文堂过夜并联系带我们穿混沟的向导。可现在快11点了,我们才刚离开裴圪台,这儿离东川还有约15里翻山路,按经验,15里山路至少要2小时时间,那今天我们还能按计划在天黑前赶到后文堂吗?现在看,悬。行走在通往东川的大路上 一路走在前边的efun 一路上行。这条路上有两个村子:前松甲、后松甲,前松甲人还多点,后松甲却仅剩两户人家,几乎被废弃,至于建于两村之间的松甲小学更是只有一间教室,并早已成了一座空房。过后松甲路拐进另一条沟里,脚下的路开始盘山而饶,路况越来越差,坡也越来越大,不过始终是贯通的,这点从路面上众多的新车辙可以看出来。完全不象“路断了,三轮车都过不去”的样子。被废弃的只有一间教室的松甲小学几被废弃的后松甲 拐过几个弯后是一山口,一辆三轮车正从对面开下来,看到眼前的路,看着缓缓下行的三轮车我们才明白这路小面确实是上不来,不过你明说路太差,车没法跑,只能送我们到裴圪台不就完了,干吗非要叫个老乡来演双簧,借它人之嘴说什么路断了呢?efun还是走在前边,老于和老席则在不远的后边边走边聊,好象有说不完的私房话。脚下是大大小小的乱石,我只顾埋头走路,两无暇旁顾。正走着,忽听后边的老席象发现新大陆似的喊着什么。走回去才发现路旁的崖壁下有两座坟茔。这种方式的墓葬还真不多见,若非其中一座坟茔外面垒砌的石墙坍塌,还真不知那是两座坟墓呢对面来了一辆三轮车后边的老席在看什么崖壁间的两座坟茔过山口路拐进另一条沟里,山坡上有古松,有房屋的废墟,左侧的沟中还有大片的梯田,显示过去曾有人在些居住、生活过。我感觉田间的小路能通到我们要去的垭口,然而又怕走错了路。算了,还是走大路吧,虽说饶远但保险。路边的一棵古松,其旁有房屋的废墟 接近垭口了,路旁的石是红的,脚下的土也是红的,efun捡到了一块煤渣,他怀疑红土下边有煤矿,老席则认为那煤是过往的车辆上掉下来的。应该是老席说的对吧。路的下边就是那片的梯田(后悔没有走小路,呵呵),已被废弃的梯田,梯田间也有废弃的石屋,看规模象是个住家。在这儿生活,水怎么解决?打井?走在红色的大道上 下边的梯田、房屋废墟 12点半,我们登上了垭口,这儿是阳城和沁水的界山,垭口处立有界碑,我们在此稍事休息,烟鬼老于坐在界碑上抽开了烟。这个老于,一屁股坐了两个县。下边的路是一路下行,路比想象的还好走,看样子用不了多长时间就能下到沟底,我们计划到了有水的地方吃午餐。过垭口不远有一平地,中间有一坟茔,坟前还戳着两个石塔,正在路旁休息的一老乡说那是当代一位县太爷的坟,这地方风水好啊。两县间的界碑 一屁股坐了两个县的老于 一位当代县太爷的坟茔 20分钟后我们已看到了沟底东川通东峡的公路,此时路的一边已有了水源,但大家都说进了东峡,找个山青水秀的地方再吃饭。弃大路走沟底,再行数分钟已上通东峡的水泥公路上。这么好的公路,莫非东峡已被开发?后边过来的一放牛的大嫂的话让我们放了心,“没有开发,只是修了一条路”。唉,不管多好的地方,开发就意味着被破坏,只要一开发就变味,这已成了规律,所以驴友最不喜欢的就是“被开发”。东峡路边的古塔路边的保护区责任牌,这样的牌子我们后来见过好几个走在“景区”公路上 公路走到头,两侧的山陡然收窄,东峡由此而始。东峡,北起沁水县下川乡东川村南,南至阳城县东哄哄村。全长10公里,其中核心地段长6.5公里,宽10至46米,是历山十四大景区之一。东峡谷深峡窄,两壁如削如切,谷中巨石累累、植被茂密,沟底溪水清澈、潭瀑相连,据说谷中有惊心石、黑龙潭、济公石等景观,还有三搂粗、号称全国最大杏树王的古树,更有抗日战争时期邓 小 平同志率部智勇走东峡,摆脱日寇围追堵截的故事。走进东峡东峡口的地貌现在我们脚下是石质河床,溪水从石上流过,将石切出一道深槽,形成潭瀑相连的景观,我们选择此处为我们午餐的地点,此时时间已是1点半了。兴奋让我们忘记了饥饿。各吃各的,谁也不肯替别人减负。人性啊,人性咋就这么差?咋都不肯助人为乐呢?雷锋同志在哪里?我的食品还是馕,只要不是冬季,我都是选择馕为中午的主食,这东西好啊,十天半月的坏不了,若是烙饼,夏季节令两天时间就会馊。我们开始午餐 这是一个迟到的作业!鳌太穿越回来后,一直忙于工作,眼看2012年就要过去了,总得在世界末日之前把作业完成了,算是有个交代。 鳌太穿越路线,近几年比较火,相关情况也就不啰嗦了,本贴只是把个人穿越的经历简单介绍一下,与关心鳌太的驴友们分享! 鳌太穿越是昆嵛山游击队去年完成狼C穿越(https//bbs.8264.com/thread-1186521-1-1.html)后,今年选定的长线穿越计划。时间初步定在六月的下旬。今年春季,游击队为鳌太行进行了集体性、系统性的拉练。光负重40斤以上的模拟拉练就进行了4次。确定的出征人员包括我共六人。而实施熬太穿越时,我却因为工作关系而未能参加。送战友出征的那一刻,看到他们个个信心百倍、斗志昂扬,心里甭提多难受了!为不能与战友们一起攻坚克难完成穿越而难过,更为不能与战友们一起欣赏大美风光而顿足!当队长他们凯旋归来,在为他们庆贺接风的同时,我已悄悄地做出了一个决定:一个人完成熬太穿越,补上这一课。做出这一决定,既不是冲动,也不是冒险。因为:一是有队长他们走过一次的经验和GPS轨迹,二是游击队春季拉练的体能储备,三是2010年曾完成过太白穿越,对太白山基本情况的了解。 可以说万事俱备只欠东风,这东风就是:一个时间窗口,一个好的天气。如何分析、判断天气变化,确定一个出发的窗口,对能否顺利完成穿越至关重要! 经查看天气预报,并与宝鸡的驴友杰米多次交流,初步判断:9月1号雨后,会有4-5天的好天气。就是它了,遂决定9月2号进山,4天完成穿越。按7天准备食物,并与队长约定,7天没消息就请求救援。 总的来说,这次鳌太穿越计划完美、实施顺利。9月2号下午330从塘口进山,9月6日中午1230从厚畛子出山,差3个小时是4整天。 一、出发前的准备。 既然决定一个人走鳌太,各方面的准备工作必须做扎实了。 1、体能方面。除了一直参加集体拉练的基础,就是平时注意加强锻炼,游泳、徒步、登山等。行前一周,自己又搞了一次模拟重装拉练。对自己的体能还是有信心的。 2、攻略方面,以队长的攻略为基础,拟订了一个4天的计划,并针对性的搜集了一下图片,对等高线图、影像图等进行了反复研究。这样鳌太穿越路线在心中就有了一个完整的概念. 3、装备方面。单人穿鳌太,必要的装备必须带,但要尽可能轻量化,最后确定带速干衣一套、抓绒衣一套、冲锋衣裤一套、MSR超轻帐篷一顶、HW鹅绒睡袋。为应对突发恶劣气候,还带了一件压缩羽绒服,这件羽绒服一直在包里没打开过。所有衣物都装在防水袋里。 4、食品及药品。虽计划4天,但食品数量是按7天准备的,还外加一包压缩饼干。必要的药品、纱布绷带等医用品一应俱全。 5、天气方面。这是熬太穿越,或是太白穿越是否顺利完成的很重要的因素,从8月中旬就一直密切关注太白县、周至、宝鸡等地的天气情况。关于天气情况分析,后面还要详细说。 6、GPS及导航。带GPS一部,里面有6月份游击队走鳌太的轨迹,还有指南针和20米等高线地形图。穿越过程中,基本上没用GPS导航,以查看地形、寻找前人走过的路线为主。大雾天则用指南针判别方向。 二、天气分析 鳌太穿越计划初步定在9月初,但具体的出发日期要根据鳌太的天气情况而定。从8月中旬就密切关注太白周边地区的天气情况,当看到8月26到31号连续大雨(预报是暴雨),9月1号预报天气好转,初步判断,9月1号以后应该有几天好天,于是着手各项准备工作。到8月28、29号再次查看天气预报,结果是9月1号以后有4-5天好天气,遂确定了行程计划:8月31从烟台出发,9月1日中午到西安,下午坐西安到太白县的车,在太白休整一晚,9月2号一早进山。对天气情况的分析,与宝鸡驴友杰米进行了多次沟通,另外还就进山起点以及租车等有关事宜麻烦杰米,在此感谢杰米的大力支持! 鳌太穿越或太白穿越,天气因素至关重要!一个好的天气,不但能使你的穿越轻松顺利,还能饱览太白风光。而雨雪天或者大雾天,将使你的穿越难度增加几倍、十几倍,甚至有生命危险。近几年熬太事故频繁,都与恶劣天气有关。 记得2010年8月16-18日,与蹄子、睡莲三人太白北南穿越(https//bbs.8264.com/thread-486632-1-1.html),也是在认真分析天气情况下安排的行程。穿越路线:鹦哥--平安寺--大文公庙--大爷海--跑马梁-万仙阵--将军庙--都督门。用时2天半。当时对天气的判断是16号一天好天,17号半天到一天好天,18号下雨。由此确定,16号一早必须开始穿越,利用一天到一天半的时间,将鹦哥到大爷海的这段上升路段拿下。跑马梁及后面的将军庙路段是平道和下坡路段,即使下雨也能按计划完成穿越。而我们的火车晚点3个小时,15号到西安已经是晚上630了,如果16号耽误在去鹦哥的路上,那么穿越将变得很艰难。不得已,求助西安的同学提供支援,连夜将我们送到鹦哥镇,确保了穿越按计划进行。穿越的实际情况是:16好一天的好天,17号走到跑马梁水窝营地时大雾,能加度不足50米,到将军庙扎营时变成大雾加中雨;18号半天是在雨中走的,中午到都督门时雨还一直下。 所以,认真研究天气情况,是鳌太穿越的必备功课。这次独行鳌太圆满顺利,完全得益于这4天的好天气,尽管中间也遇到大风大雾,但整个行程还是以好天为主。9月7日上午回到西安,下午就开始下雨了。 三、行前会议。 确定了8月31号(周五)出发的日期,30号晚游击队核心成员搞了个小型聚会,算是我出征鳌太的行前会议,这也是队长他们6月份成功穿越鳌太庆功宴以来,游击队第一次聚会。会上,我详细通报了这次独行鳌太的具体计划和日程安排,队长他们介绍了6月份鳌太行的有关情况,对鳌太穿越中的难点、容易迷路的地方以及沿途补水点、营地情况等做了详细介绍。4人一起对我的行程安排、装备、食品、药品等一一进行了梳理。根据我对天气情况的分析,9月2号以后应该有4-5天的好天气,利用这一有利条件,顺利完成鳌太穿越是完全可能的。但考虑到鳌太气候多变的特点,鳌太穿越全是好天也是不可能的,设想了最坏的情况并商讨了应对方案,对可能的下撤路线一一进行了查看、分析。这次穿越计划时间是4天,考虑到是单人穿越,应尽量缩短穿越的时间,因此穿越的起点由原来计划的塘口,调整到23KM管理处。并与队长他们约定,以7天为限,7天没消息,也就是9月8号晚没有消息,就直接联系西安蓝天救援队和当地警方组织救援。 考虑到单人穿越熬太非同一般,和队长他们商定出发前就不发消息了,等成功出山后再发。这主要是怕朋友们担心,因为8月份刚刚发生了鳌山5人失踪事件,4人已找到,仍有1人下落不明,救援工作还没结束。还有就是鳌太刚刚下了4天大雨,新闻报道说太白地区山洪爆发,多处塌方,冲毁道路等,这些消息肯定会让朋友们更担心我的安全。所以不发消息事出无奈,等出山后再做解释吧。 四、一波三折的起步阶段 万事开头难!此话不假!这次进山前的种种波折,我算是领教了这句话的真正含义!!!原定的计划,不得已而不断的变更。 之所以选择坐长途汽车,就是想9月1号晚上赶到太白县,9月2号一早开始进山。去西安之前,电话咨询确认,每天下午240和330有两趟西安发太白县的班车。烟台到西安的长途汽车是头天下午230发车,约18个小时可以到西安,一算应该是第二天的上午8、9点到,这样上午可以补充食品,下午班车到太白县。而火车是下午300多到西安,而且这趟火车几乎每次都晚点,肯定赶不上去太白的班车。所以选择做长途汽车而不是火车。计划的很完美,而现实是,各种不顺把这个计划化为了泡影。 8月31号下午登上去西安的长途班车,连夜赶路。夜里2点,过了豫陕交界处,高速公路交警勒令休息,休息的时间是200-500。夜里睡不着,就跟值班的交警聊天,问这个规定是啥时候出的,答曰去年就有了,因为延安客车伤亡事故,最近严格执行这一规定。不光是双层卧铺,所有客车都得执行。规定咱得执行,可这时间就耽误3个小时。询问司机,说中午1200可以到西安,想想12点到也还来得及赶上班车,补充食品那就到太白县办理吧! 5点,车准时出发。天下小雨,伴有薄雾,当830,车行驶到新安县的某个地方时,车停了,不一会高速路上的车就排出去了20公里。本以为停一会就放行了,可是直到中午1200依然没有动的迹象。哎,这叫什么事啊?在这前不着村后不着店的地方,就这么傻呆呆的等!没人告诉你为什么?没人告诉你还要等多长时间?高速路的交警呢?一直没看见人影。熬到下午2点,实在坚持不住了,只好打听着,到离高速路约1公里的村子买了泡面、饼干、咸菜、零食什么的,做好了长期抗战的准备。也就是在这个村子的小卖店,才知道这里属河南新安县。 对于这种无法预测的等待,真的让人郁闷、无助,就像一个看不到头的灾难,给人一种恐惧的感觉。眼看着下午的雾气貌似越来越重,真不知道啥时是个头啊?终于,到下午330放行了!额的神啊!!!到达西安已是晚上8点了,白白的浪费了7个小时的时间,啥都耽误了。值得安慰的则是,伴随着一路的雨,下车时还下着呢,而到睡觉的时候已经停了,天也放晴了。 无奈、上火都没用,调整计划吧!晚上宿西安,明天一早赶往太白县。火车站买好了9月8号的返程票,采购了必备的食品,城西客运站旁边找了家宾馆住下。急也没有,反正是今天赶不到太白了,洗了个热水澡,美美地睡上一觉。 9月2号早晨600,来到城西客运站。客运站刚开门,问了一下,上午没有去太白县的客车,还是下午那两班车,仔细询问,原来这车是太白县跑西安,下午返回。听说这几天太白地区暴雨洪水,道路被冲,感觉等这车有些不靠谱。经车站工作人员推荐,可以先到眉县,眉县跑太白县的车多。就这么定了,转道眉县去太白县。买了西安去眉县的车票,730发车。等车的时后,抬头看看,天气晴朗,漫天朝霞!真是一个好天啊!心里反倒焦急了起来,恨不得马上飞到徒步起点,开始穿越。730汽车准时发车。车出西安,沿途风光好!因前几天大雨,渭河还有其他河流,水位暴涨,洪水咆哮!910到眉县长途车站。进卖票处一问,因太白大雨,眉县至太白县公路被冲毁,班车停发。又遇波折。然后问,怎么去太白县?答曰转车。先到潘家湾,换乘宝鸡--太白或宝鸡--陈仓的班车。只好这样了。渭河泥浆般的洪水,水位依然很高。1040到潘家湾。 在潘家湾等了将近30分钟,连续两辆班车都因客满而拒绝我们上车(我和太白县的一位老同志),天气这么好,而我却在中途滞留,就看着时间这么流失了,着急啊!在这儿耽误一个小时,就可能因此而在穿越中耽搁半天,甚至更长时间,真的不敢去设想。时不我待,必须尽快赶到徒步起点。遂决定打车到太白县,并告诉太白的那位老同志,免费带他到太白县。于是,讲好了价钱,我们二人同乘一车奔向太白。当车进入秦岭,看到青山绿树,蓝天白云,心情大好,终于可以松口气了!但是且慢,后面还有波折在等着,此是后话,回头再讲。暂且不管它,先欣赏美景吧。途中,还免费搭载一位解放军战士。1200到达坡顶,下了坡就是太白县。1240到达太白县城。找到了粮食局对面的户外店,买了两个气罐,加上自己带的,这次穿越鳌太共带了3个气罐。买好了气罐,租好了车,到市场买了洋葱和大头菜和大葱,当车出县城时已是下午1点多了。马不停蹄,奔向计划的登山点--23KM管理处。沿途能看见洪水冲倒的树木。司机师傅告诉我,要打电话尽快打,爬上山坡后就没信号了。我赶紧给队长打了个电话,告诉他已经进山,从23KM管理处登山。也给家人打了个电话,说就要进山了,这几天没有信号,等出山再联系。没想到的是,又遇波折。就在离23KM登山处还有17、8公里的时候,洪水把道路完全冲毁,公路部门正在抢修道路,问什么时候可以修通,回答说要明天下午。于是,原路返回,奔向备用登山点--塘口。 再次经过太白县城,驶向塘口。途中,和队长再次联系,告诉无法从23KM管理处登山,登山点改为塘口。并和队长说了起步阶段的种种波折,队长说要淡定,后面的行程一定会很顺利!哈哈,还真让队长说对了!不经历风雨,怎么见彩虹!塘口,这也是游击队6月份鳌太穿越的起点。进塘口的路就在公路边上,路口一个方形拱门,旁边有个加油站。其实塘口登山处就是塘口村五组,沿水泥道一直往南走,在稍往右一拐,就是去登山口的土路,路的两边是蔬菜地。 五、9月2日下午3:30进山,塘口--药农窝棚。 下午3:30开始进山,很快找到了岔路口。顺小路往上攀登,过了一个小平台,一会就进了山沟里。顺山沟的小路,不停的在溪水两边来回蹦。河沟被洪水冲刷的厉害,没用仔细往右寻路,就一直顺沟往上走,直到7点多,天快擦黑了,却发现前面没路了。根据对路线的研究,这条冲沟的顶端就是火烧破,那么路线应该在右侧的山脊上,于是打开GPS,对照了一下,判断了方位,果断地向右侧攀爬,找到了成熟路线。这时天已经黑了,约8点来到了火烧破前的平台,休息了一下,简单地补充了食物,然后继续前进,约8:30到药农窝棚,扎营。经过了一番周折,风风火火、急急忙忙,终于在2号的下午330到达了登山的起点--塘口。看看这脑海里过了无数遍的景象,真是感慨万千!在村口,边收拾行囊,边和村民闲聊,顺便问了一下前几天下雨的情况。村民说前几天雨很大,很多路都被洪水冲了。看看小路上一道道洪水冲过的沟槽,就知道这雨有多大了。脑子里突然蹦出一个念头:晚进山半天多,未必不是好事,昨晚雨刚停,河沟里全是水,过了这半天,估计水该消退了很多。转念这么一想,心里豁然开朗,和老乡告别,精神抖擞地踏上了征程。进山后看到的景象确实如此!河沟的水基本消退了,但有的地方水还是很大,有的地方甚至要踩着水过去。看看这被洪水冲过的土路。选择合适的位置,迈过溪流,不一会就到了进山的岔路口。志很明显。 从岔路口进去,不到10分钟,爬上一处小平台,这儿可以看见蔚蓝的天空。再往前走,进了溪谷,几乎就看不见天了。过了小平台,再往前就进入了沟谷中。沟谷里树林茂密,遮天蔽日。顺着溪流,沿着被洪水冲毁的小道,不断攀升,有时小路就在溪流里,有的地方冲的几乎看不出是小路。太白人参和木通花。没想到,这个季节在鳌山还能吃到破班头,都熟透了,一路不停地吃,权当水果了。顺着沟谷,逆流而上,一直走到晚上640多,看看就要到河谷的尽头了,小路也越来越不明显。继续走了约半个小时,天上越来越暗,还没看到明显的山路。于是决定直接拔上右侧山脊,寻找成熟路线。约7点50左右,找到了成熟路线。继续走了越10分钟,800左右来到了山脊上的平台。这个平台视野开阔,能看到山脊两侧的景致,远处能看见山下的灯火。平台再往前就是火烧坡。平台休息了20分钟,补充了食品和水,看看山路清晰,戴上头灯,继续赶路,到下一个成熟营地--药农窝棚扎营。上了火烧坡,不一会,电话响了!一看是队友打来的。本以为没信号了,竟然来了电话,真是惊喜啊!这时,回头看看,太白县城灯火通明,猛的明白,哈哈,这儿是信号覆盖区啊!不过,再走10多分钟,就又进入盲区了,直到厚畛子才有信号。过了火烧坡,右转,不一会来到药农窝棚,这儿水源很好,营地条件也好,遂决定扎营休息。烧茶喝,做饭吃。等忙活完躺下,已是晚上10点半了。 六、9月3日 路线:药农窝棚--2900营地--山脊线--盆景园--白起庙--乱石坡--石海--鳌山导航架--西跑马梁--药王庙--麦秸梁--荞麦梁--水窝子垭口--飞机梁--飞机梁垭口。 时间:早420--晚620,计14个小时。 药农窝棚营地条件不错,地势平坦,水源充足。营地旁边是一条溪流,水哗哗作响,害得我一晚上没怎么睡好!躺在帐篷里翻来覆去,到凌晨2点半就醒了,索性起来,收拾帐篷,生火烤饼,面条就大饼。饭后吃了21维他命,喝了一包板蓝根冲剂和西洋参片煮水。待收拾停当,420,出发。山路清晰,戴上头灯赶路。约40分钟,到达2900营地。这时天还没亮,头灯下观察了一下营地,很宽阔,水源也好。同时,看到了驴友减负留下的小米一袋。还有很多一次性雨衣。还有让人不堪入目的垃圾!2900营地往上,行走在草甸之中,因前几日大雨,草甸泥泞不堪,小路上都成了水道了,只好在比较硬的地方来回蹦。直到将近六点,天边微露晨光,这种泥泞难行的路才算结束。约5;50,走到了山脊上,看见了天边露出了朝霞。6:00.天渐渐亮了,路边的树木也看到清晰了。([]

可可西里自然保护区是我国目前建立的面积最大,海拔最高,野生动物资源最为丰富的国家级自然保护区之一,被誉为“世界第三极”和青藏高原珍稀野生动物基因库。 可可西里自然保护区位于青海省西南部的玉树藏族自治州境内,东经89º25’~94730;05Z0;,北纬34º19’~36º16。其范围为昆仑山脉以南,乌兰乌拉山以北,东起青藏公路,西迄省界。保护区西与西藏自治区相接,南同格尔木唐古拉乡毗邻,北和新疆维吾尔族自治区相连,东至青藏公路,总面积4.5万平方公里。 可可西里地处青藏高原腹地,平均海拔在4600米以上,最高峰为北缘昆仑山布喀达板峰(亦称新青峰或莫诺马哈峰),海拔6860米;最低点在豹子峡(昆仑山南鹿红水河横穿博卡雷克拐弯处),海拔4200米。区内地势南北高,中部低,西部高而东部低。可可西里山和冬布勒山横贯本区中部,山地间有两个宽谷湖盆带,地势较平坦。海拔5500米~6000米以上的山地,有现代冰川发育。如布喀达坂峰(6860)米,马兰山(6813)米,少数超过5600米的山峰也有小规模冰川分布,如东岗扎日(5882)米,冰川总面积达1700多平方公里。 可可西里是羌塘高原内流湖区和长江北源水系交汇地区。东部为楚玛河为主的长江北源水系,主要为雨水、地下水补给,水量较小,河流往往是季节性河流。西部和北部是以湖泊为中心的内流水系。区内湖泊众多,据统计,面积大于1平方公里的湖泊有107个,总面积3825平方公里,其中面积200平方公里以上的湖泊有7个。最大的为乌兰乌拉湖,湖水面积为544.5平方公里,是青海省第四大湖。可可西里湖泊大部分为咸水湖或半咸水湖,矿化度较高。 区内现代冰川广布,冰川总面积2000平方公里,著名的有布喀达坂冰帽冰川,马兰山冰川、岗扎日冰川等,是“中华水塔”的宝贵冰川。本地区有许多奇特的自然景观,如山谷冰川,地表冻丘、冻帐、石林、石环、多彩的高原湖泊,盐湖边盛开的朵朵“盐花”,以及现代冰川下热气蒸腾,水温高达91℃的沸泉群等,有机地组成了其他地区所不及的本区特有的地质资源。 本区气候特点是温度低、降水少、大风多、区域差异较大。境内年平均气温由东南向西北逐渐降低,在西金乌兰湖地区有一明显暖区,最暖区年均温为-4.10C,最冷为最西边的勒斜武担措,年均温为-10.00C(推算值),最低气温-46.40C,其它地区均在两者之间。 可可西里地区年平均降水量分布趋势是由东南向西北逐渐减少。在173~495毫米之间。本区风大,是全国风速高值区之一,在风力较弱的季节。西金乌兰湖附近仍出现瞬时风速为24.0米/秒的大风(1990年7月9日16时47分),年平均风速分布由东向西增大。区内的土壤类型简单,多为高山草甸土、高山草原土和高山寒漠土壤,其次为沼泽土,零星分布的有沼泽土、龟裂土、盐土、碱土和风沙土。土壤发育年轻。受冻融作用影响深刻。 区域内由于受到地理位置、地势高低、地形坡向及地表组成物质等各种水热条件分异因素的影响,自然景观自东南向西北呈现高寒草甸-高寒草原+高寒荒漠更替。其中高寒草原是主要类型。高寒冰缘植被也有较大面积的分布,高寒荒漠草原、高寒垫状植被和高寒荒漠有少量分布。高寒草甸、高寒沼泽仅分布在极个别的地区。可可西里地势高峻,空气稀薄,气压偏低,氧气稀薄,只有低海拔地区的一半,烧开水的沸点只有80多度,被称为“世界第三极”。自然环境严酷,气候恶劣,人类无法长期居住、生产和生活,因而保留了其原始的生态环境和独特的自然景观。 本区生物区系种类少,但青藏高原特有种比例大,且种群数量大。据多年观察,哺乳动物有29种,其中11种为青藏高原特有,鸟类53种,爬行类1种,鱼类6种。区内高等植物有102属,202种,其中青藏高原特有种84种,占全区种类的41.56%,其中属国家重点保护的一、二类野生动物就有20余种。包括大家熟知的野牦牛、藏羚羊、野驴、白唇鹿、棕熊等。本区的特有生物种类不但是我国的珍稀动植物,而且为世界上所嘱目,在学术上和自然保护上均十分重要. 以上资料择由《中国国家地理》杂志 2009年10月2日在青海省格尔木市休整一天,作高原适应并作连续穿越可可西里和阿尔金山两大无人区的准备,车子油箱全部加满油,给养车上的汽油和柴油备用油箱也全部加满,准备2桶50L的淡水,以及矿泉水若干箱,馕、面包等干粮,火腿肠、鸡爪等小吃,还有大米、面条,青菜以及宰杀好的两只羊。 格尔木地处青藏、青新、敦格公路和青藏铁路交汇处,为青海西部交通枢纽。南可通西藏,北可达甘肃河西走廊,西可去新疆,东可到省会西宁。是西藏通往祖国内地的重要中转站和物资集散地。 格尔木是蒙古语,意为“河流密集的地方”,地处青藏高原腹地,市区位于柴达木盆地中南部格尔木河冲积平原上,市区平均海拔2780米,全市人口27万,其中汉族人口占83%。 格尔木城雕 10月3日早上一切准备妥当,开始出发,可就在宾馆的停车场,给养的大车在倒车时刮到一旁的小车,保安费了好大劲,才找到车主,看到我们是新疆的车牌,提出要到西宁修理,光来回油费和耽误的时间就开口要1500元,连修理费一起要3000元。一番协商不下,把我们撩在宾馆等候,工匠他们到交警处理,巧的是处理的交警有亲戚是新疆库尔勒人,他偷偷告诉我们不要露出着急的样子,要装作有大把多时间磨泡,最后那位小车的车主经不住拖时间,以1500元了事。可也把我们等的将近中午,才急急忙忙开拔,走上青藏公路的109国道。 前方的雪山就是被称为“万山之宗”、“龙脉之祖”,在中华民族文化史上位居中国第一神山的巍巍位昆仑山。 昆仑山口地处昆仑山中段,格尔木市区南160公里处,海拔4767米 昆仑山口记碑分为主碑、副碑、陪碑、雕塑、底盘五部分,材质为汉白玉。主碑高4.767米,是昆仑山口海拔高度的千分之一,碑底座用花岗岩块石砌成9.6平方米基础,象征她屹立在祖国960万平方公里的坚实土地上。 到了昆仑山口就算进入可可西里自然保护区33685915_1272165201yXHH.jpg我们已办好进入保护区的手续,将要由东向西穿越可可西里。 从昆仑山口行驶不到20分钟,就到聊不冻泉保护站 不冻泉保护站海拔3700米,据说这里的泉水常年不停的喷涌而出,即使在寒冷的严冬也从不封冻,因此被称为“不冻泉”。不冻泉被当地藏民视为神泉。在不冻泉有旅馆、商店,还有加油站,可是没有油可 加 整个青藏铁路拉格段难度最大控制工程不冻泉特大桥,全长2.95公里。是目前世界上海拔最高,穿越冻土层最厚,科技含量最高,施工难度最大,空气最稀薄,条件最恶劣的高原特大桥。 昆仑山脉亚洲中部大山系,也是中国西部山系的主干。从东向西绵亘2,000公里(1,250哩),西起塔吉克的帕米尔,东至昆仑山口和毗邻的青藏诸山脉——布尔汗布达山脉、巴颜喀拉山与阿尼玛卿山。昆仑山宽度变化相当大,很少超过201公里(125哩)。在西部边际,该山形成中国西部西藏高原与塔里木盆地之间的一个内亚壁垒。北部支脉阿尔金山继续延伸这一山脉组合。玉珠峰、玉虚峰传说是玉帝两个妹妹的化身,是明末道教混元派(昆仑派)道场所在地,是中国第一神山。玉珠峰,海拔6178米,位于青海格尔木南160公里的昆仑山口以东10公里,是昆仑山东段最高峰,南坡冰川末端海拔约5100米;北坡冰川延伸至4400米。山峰顶部常年被冰雪所覆盖不冻泉大桥底看到的昆仑山玉珠峰 虽然还在青海境内,可道班却是西藏的道班,不知何故。 可可西里国家级自然保护区管理局共有5个保护站,其中常年有人值守的保护站4个,全部都分布在109国道边。按照距格尔木(管理局所在地)的远近,分别为沱沱河保护站、五道梁保护站、索南达杰保护站和不冻泉保护站。可可西里腹地的卓乃湖保护站由于条件恶劣,每年7、8月藏羚羊产羔期才开始派人值守。索南达杰自然保护站https//www.xxcb.com.cn/show.asp?id=182950 30 这个没有先例的我国第一个民间环保站,是以因保护可可西里野生动物而壮烈牺牲的原治多县委书记杰桑.索南达杰的名字命名的。1994年1月18日,索南达杰被偷猎者打死后,在零下四十度的严寒中被冻成一尊持枪射击的冰雕。他曾经说过“在中国办事如果不死几个人, 是很难引起全社会重视的。如果需要死人,就让我死在最前面。”他生前梦寐以求的, 就是在青藏公路边建一个自然保护站, 从而遏制疯狂的淘金者和偷猎者。 来自四川的探险家, 摄影师杨欣走过这里, 听到索南达杰的呼唤, 便义无反顾地走上了索南达杰的道路。1984年,“绿色江河”发起人杨欣开始关注长江,15次到长江源头地区考察,发现长江源头地区生态问,1995年倡导发起“保护长江源,爱我大自然”活动。1997年在长江源头建立起中国民间第一个自然生态环境保护站——索南达杰自然保护站,同时开展了系列的长江源生态环境考察和环境保护宣传教育活动,启动了民间长江源环境保护运动。 由于索达南杰保护站附近水源的盐碱含量高人不能饮用,他们每隔四五天就要到三十公里之外的不冻泉去拉水。他们日常生活所需的粮食和蔬菜也要到几百公里之外的格尔木去购买。 每个保护站都配备一辆巡逻专用的吉普,主要用以巡线工作。 在索南达杰保护站看到与公路平行的青藏铁路和巍巍昆仑雪山、玉珠峰 就在索南达杰保护站旁边不远处的叉道上进入可可西里腹地。 15时24分满载给养的红色的东风沙漠王给养车正在离开109国道 好不容易将受陷的车轮后面的泥土挖出一个缓坡,铺上带来的备用木板,两部越野车同时拉牵,有如蚍蜉撼树,大车没有反应,加到最大马力,大车还是一动不 动2#车的后梁都拉了变形,还是一点反应没有,可把2#的小卫师傅好个心痛了 得。 只好就地扎营,在这片泥泞潮湿的草滩上搭起加厚大帐篷第一天搭帐篷,都是生手,在几位师傅的指点下,费好大劲才支起。因为帆布夹棉,顶和两侧的大盖非常重,要六人才能支起。前后廉的三角尖处高度较高,也只有1米8几蛋糕才能够得到 。开火弄吃,今晚可是8月15中秋节啊,可不能太过 委屈小卫师傅也要露两手,来个清炖手抓羊肉。我对羊肉的膻味接受不了,只有远看的份。八月十五好歹还有月 饼充饥 玉虚峰相传为玉皇大帝的妹妹玉虚神女居住的地方。传说,当年玉皇大帝见昆仑山雄伟高大,气势轩昂,景象万千,且离天庭很近,便在昆仑山顶修建了一座轩辕行宫。玉帝的妹妹玉虚得知后,很不服气,说玉帝霸占的地方太多了 老大觉得和大伙一起睡大帐,不习惯,睡不着,自己撑起单人小帐篷,要单独睡 谁也没有想到,进入可可西里荒野的第一晚居然在青藏公路边渡过,本应要至少越过库赛湖的啊。耐心等待一夜的上冻,明天再开拔吧。对于能否成功穿越也让所有人放心不下。 在可可西里荒野的第一晚,气温极低,我感觉头涨痛,有些高发,但还不是太严重,早早入睡。 第二天早上大家都说有些反映,我们这群人可是都去过阿里,都有5000米以上住宿的高原经历啊。连常年进阿尔金山的给养车苑师傅和1#车王师傅也因铲泥消耗体力多大出现高反。 早上大地结满霜,老大的单薄帐篷能顶住可可西里旷野的寒冷吗?王师傅、小卫以及苑师傅都在各自的车上睡,车窗结着厚厚的霜,车里的气温看来也暖不到哪去 。 也多亏寒冷,将路上的水全冻结,大车终于可以摆脱困境,脱离这片苦海。摆脱困境的大车,赶忙将车调头,向着东方。 怎么啦,大车要回头,不进去吗?原来玻璃上厚厚的霜已经看不清前面,老师傅要借助东升的太阳融化前玻璃的霜花,经验还真丰富吃过早餐,拆帐篷,装车,对着东升太阳,车前玻璃的厚霜在雨刮刮拉下,也可以看清路面。玉虚峰总也不离不舍,伴随我们一路向 西地貌也慢慢变成一片片斑斑的红色 地衣这是不是西游记中唐僧取经路上沙僧被发配的流沙河?提心吊胆穿过流沙 的河流穿过流沙河,是一片稀疏的 高山草甸 在白雪皑皑的昆仑山脚下的这片草原上 库赛湖静静地躺在草原的深 处看着如此漂亮的高原湖泊,害怕陷车,不敢离开巡山便道半步,只有远 望。湖边的野牦牛,距离远而呈小黑点,点缀在蓝色飘带的库赛湖上,勾起多少的梦想 最可怕的是单独一头的野牦牛,这种孤独的野牦牛多为在争夺牛群头领时失败而被牛群驱逐出来的,性情暴躁乖戾,攻击性极强。上翘的尾巴,那是对我们发出了警告,不能侵犯她的领地。1#车王师傅就曾经被一头孤独的野牦牛顶过车子,把车里的人吓个半死,幸亏没有伤人。这回再也不敢靠近,只能远远的停车等候它的离开狡猾的狐狸也在密切注视我们的动向,随时准备撒腿逃 There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. The following day I found a vehicle heading to Jieshan Daban.The sand storm over Yarlung Zangbo RiverA lonely peach tree blossoming in Yarlung Zangbo Grand CanyonNatural hot spring in wild, me singing and drinking (photo by a friend of mine) Day 1(April 20), 16km, Camping 5192mIt was a truck with a full load of iron wastes, arriving in Jieshan Daban at 6'o clock in the morning. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. Orchid-like weedsSmall springs everywhere, clear and chillyA thin layer of ice covering the fresh spring water The sheep cote, it was the door under the sleeping bag, which was in the same place as last year, everything looked like yesterdayThe wetland at duskLungmu Co at dusk. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Continue to melt the ice under the morning sunshine, all of the sheep poo had been removed carefullyCamping site, the little hill over there was the place where I got the ice last nightThe house by the Luxing Hu, empty, the last permanent building I saw throughout my journeyDay 5 (April 24), 19.8km, Camping 4951mSet off at 10.30 in the morning, the weather was similar to yesterday. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. I set up the tent comfortably because I knew that I was safe having such a sweet spring beside me.Triangulation station erected by scientists from the joint research team on Chang Tang of three military regiments in 1971[size=+0]The gap between water and ice in Bungdag Co, I guessed there must be some springs under the lakeThe storm just above the ground, a chaotic darkness[size=+0]Icy Bungdag Co,one of the four biggest lakes in Northern Tibet, wild ducks flying over this vastness and lonenessSnowing at any time, should not happen so frequently like this in this seasonDay 6 (April 25), 4.3km, Camping 5002mWeathering landforms everywhere around this area. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. The mixture of green and amber colour showed the sand and mud carried by the melted iceThick layer of ice, sunken surface caused by strong gustsThe south course of the Yinshui He, countless small streams. To the right was the wetlandLooking for ways in the east, a trace of pasturing and the cairn made from spongy volcanic rocksMy camp, opposite to the hillDay 7 (April 26), 11km, Camping 5009mI moved forward to the direction I found yesterday, turning around the wetland and walking toward east. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. There are many ways in one's life too, you can only take it once and you will no long have the courage to repeat it.I pushed the bike crossing the river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... I liked such a colorful and peaceful Chang Tang and very much enjoyed my camp and myself bathed in such beautiful colour.The ice like this was very thin and suspended, far away from the main stemHard surface with half-melted underneath, the soft sand at the botton was most scaryThe ice like this could easily jam the wheels, hard to get it outI had to unload the panniersChaotic water and terrible hails turned up in no timeThe Chang Tang at the moment liked it used to be,a mixture of cold and warm tones under the golden setting sun Day 8 (April 27), 14.6km, Camping 5112mLast night, I forgot to bring in the odometer, which was out of order due to the coldness in midnight. Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. The accuracy of this prediction was about 80%.The road was very bad today. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The nightmare was over.Cold and clear morningHeavy morning condensation in the interior, a lot of frost to clearSuch dawning sunlight indicated a cloudy day ahead Day 9 (April 28), 18km, 5072mIn the morning I entered a range of sandy roads which were so terrible. The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. This was just because I found there was a little bit of extra space when I was in Nagri packing the stuff for this journey so that I bought two packs of cereals. It tasted disgusting, probably there was too much alkali in the water. I threw away half of it. Later I realised that probably I subconsciously felt that the provisions was so heavy. I would rather make it lighter at any cost.Dry all my stuff in the morning sun, a routine matterA faint dusk in Pur CoThe river bank pushed up by ice and opened like zipper by gustsThe pushed up surface of the iceThe place where I got my drinking water, a thin layer of ice behind the ablation corns The moment just before sun set, glittering Pur Co, nothing was the same差点儿没找到俺自己的帖子,原来变色了。多谢各位鼓励。 Day 10 (April 29), 16km, Camping 5141mIn the morning, I walked around the north bank of the Pur Co, where it were continuous ups and downs sprinkled with light yellow sprouts across the sparse grassland. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. The thing was that if you were not afraid of them and moved forward, they would run away in no time. There were only some mad yaks attacking people, which was really rare to happen. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Therefore, the then government called on people to cull back the population of the wolves in Chang Tang, which resulted in the current situation directly. The last official record about wolves attacking humans was around 1970s, which happened in Bamaoqiongzong. A team of secientists was surrounded by a group of wolves and they had to shoot them using guns. Of course, at present in Chang Tang, wolves are absolutely lonely.In this traverse, the first time I encountered a pair of wolves, one of them staying in front of me pretending to attack me while the other staying behind me. This is the standard attacking strategy of wolves. First, you should not be nervous which can be easily detected by the predators. Second, you should not retreat even an inch because this means you are the prey rather than the predator. Do not make any large movement, of course you could take a picture if you feel safe to do so. You must look into its eyes for a few minutes or even half an hour. When the wolves can not work out who you are and consider you are not posing any danger to them, then they will leave. You should remember that wolves in this land do not lack of food and it is much easy for them to catch a pika than a human. Even if being hungry, they would evaluate how easy to get you done, What you need to do is to show them that you are not interested in them and you are not afraid of them at all, let alone to show your ID card to them. As for the wolves family, really, I have not heard for ages. If you really have an encounter with them and they have no other choice, then it definitely depends on your forture. In fact, for so many year, it has been very rare to happen that wolves kill human. But the rumours are still there, in particular, the road connecting Xinjiang and Tibet.The nearest encounter with a wolf throughout my journey, no conflict at all[Brown Bears]Brown bears are real dangerous animals to human. Every year there are some accidents happened in some regions of Xinjiang on the north side of Kunkun Mountains and steppes in Northern Tibet. More than that the bears could attack your house, smash your windows, and eat your sheep. Therefore, in Northern Tibet some local councils give subsidies to the pastorarists for compensating the losses due to the bears because they are not allow to fight back and kill the bears except their lives are in great danger. Once there was a nomad taught me a method to protect yourself from bears. He told me to pick up a stick to feed the bear and the bear thinks the stick is your hand which tastes disgusting. So the bear would leave. It was so funny but the reality is to find a stick in this vast wilderness is just like you win the lottery.Bears are omonivorous animal who are generally not interested in human flesh. You can find that in most of accidents, the bears did not eat any of the human flesh rather they just smashed them for kind of fun that we could not understand. For the reason why bears kill human, one explanation is the conflict between human and wildlife in this extreme ecological environment. The nomads invade the habitats of the bears, which results in these conflicts. On the other hand, it might be because bears have quite high IQ so that they think it is much easy to kill a sheep in the cote rather than to kill a pika in the wild.I have met bears five times in my traverse, in two cases we were very close to each other. I had even walked with one of them for quite a while, just like we had a date for a walk. The fact is it is not that terrible like you might imagine. The same rules for dealing with wolves apply to bears. Never provoke dangerous animals. A bear can run at a speed of 40km/h, do you think you can compete this in a highland 5,000m above sea level?However, there is a situation where it is really dangerous, that is the encounter. It is not easy to control your instinctive reaction to the external dangers. Last year once I turned around a hill, there was a bear just in front of me. The bear of course was frightened by me with its front legs holding up, waving in the air and roaring. At that time I sat on the ground, ignoring it. The bear then left in a few minutes. I will no longer talk about it.This was the funniest encounter with a solitary wild yak, who did not warn me. If I sat down, it sat down too. If I moved forward, it stopped. Could not imagine what it was thinking about.[Crows]Crows are dangerous only when you fall unconscious in the wilderness. Of course they will be the first to taste your flesh in that case. Unlike their cousinsliving in urban areas, the crows in Chang Tang have a larger body like eagles. When they fly over your head, you could feel like it is a piece of cloud. They are scavengers but like fresh meat too. It once happened that a baby was killed by crows relentlessly, let alone the lambs got killed by them. Once a nomad asked me for fireworks to scare the crows away. (They are sacred birds not to be killed by human)It is easy to defend yourself against crows, that is to keep fighting, never fall in the wilderness.A short break attracted the crows. Of course, they were miscalculating this time, photo taken last year[Strategies Adopted]At the time when I met the four soldiers in Jieshan Daban, they said there were many dangerous animals in the Northern Tibet and asked me if I had brought a shotgun. I think if they knew that I would enter Chang Tang they would definitely check if I really have a shotgun. The so-called defence facilities I brought with me were the fireworks and pepper spray. I had never used them. The fireworks were ruined and thrown away when I crossed a river and I had never opened the pepper spray. I even had never thought about this when camping in the night. The reason was I did not feel the needs. During the day time whenever I met any animals I had never touched the knife I had brought. I did not have anything to defend myself when I walked out to investigate the route. The Chang Tang is really a vast area so as to be very easy to detect anything strange.By the way, you'd better to avoid mating season's animals because even tamed rabbits could be aggressive in mating season.The thing is even if you have a gun, it is not very much helpful when bears attack you. Therefore, your attitude is most important.I can tell you something. Dogs are more dangerous than these wild animals. I had been chased by Tibetan dogs, pounced on by dogs in mating season, also besieged by a group of dogs. I really feel it is more useful to know how to defend a dog.Declaration again The above experience is from Chang Tang only. Of course, the more you prepared, the better. Day 12 (May 1), 23.8km, Camping 5117mToday was May 1 -- the Labour Day, I had been walking in some lake area marked in the map but clearly dried up. The lake basin was flat and hard so that I even pushed my bike more than 20km. Let it be the special treat for my May Day. After midday it became cloudy with growing winds. Since the Yueya Hu that I passed yesterday, there were no big lakes until Yanghu Co (My route would be between Jianshui Hu and Bairab Co), there was even no light alkaline water to drink so I had to pay extra attention not to miss any possible drinking water supply to fill up my water bag. There were a few very small lakes but all were alkaline puddles which was very shallow, whose depth was no more than the length of a half-finger. These puddles were covered with a hard shell of the mixture of salt and ice which smelled stinking and decaying when getting closer, must be toxic water I supposed. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. The flat ancient lake basin, assisting me walking more than 20kmSmall lake en route, toxic waterSnow corns, the only drinking water supply today Day 13 (May 2), 0km, Camping 5117mWaking up in the morning and opening the tent, the heavy snow outside must be sent by the God to force me have a break for the May Day. After lying in for a while, getting up and walking on the snowy ground out I went to have a look around. As first sight there were a herd of chirus. They were plainly to be spotted because they looked like a clear black straight line in the while snow. I returned to get my camera and then followed them to take some pictures. But they were very much alert and kept a quite long distance from me. I felt they were a group of pregnant females, instinctively protecting themselves from any potential harm. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
