久居城市,越发的对蓝天白云的向往。宅之甚久,越发的对原野高山的期待。自小生活在黑龙江的我,对雪是很喜欢的。喜欢在下雪的时候仰起头看着天上的雪花飘落,轻轻盈盈,飘飘洒洒,一片一片,看似飞翔,却在坠落。远处的雪,像似一个整体,如电影镜头中的慢动作一般,慢慢的落下。常常是一夜间雪已经半尺厚。整个冬季的雪是不化的,不像现在所在的城市,雪落地就化,一点也没有下雪的味道与乐趣!于是冬季去太白看雪,成为了此次出行的目的。这次太白之行成为约伴人,纯属偶然。原本的我只想跟着一只不要在元旦时间去太白的队伍,队伍确定的时间为一月6号--9号太白穿越时间。由于人数一只不够,所以我在8264上面代发了约伴贴。最后原本确定的队伍只剩我,彩色沙漠,安吉儿三人。幸好最后又加入了悠然云行,卧街,南丐,点星,以及临行前加入的阿龙,至此队伍人数达到此行的上限8人。徒步新疆喀纳斯大环线,与美女同行的23天里,逃不掉的美景(路书装备清单)1楼流浪川藏线的精彩,准备周全然后随遇而安 不一样的风景,不一样的人今年夏天,游走鼓浪屿,我与美女同行。太白南南线费用明细:1、西安至周至车费17.5*8=140元;2、周至至厚畛子包车费500元;3、厚畛子午餐47元;4、铁甲树门票100元;5、向导费150*4=600元;6、将军碑至厚畛子包车300元;7、厚畛子晚餐51元;8、厚畛子至西安包车费用800元 金杯车11座,李师傅,电话:15929989678合计:140+50+47+100+600+300+51+800=2538元收入300*8=2400元,每人补交17.25元 此明细由会计 点星 提供,再次感谢由于大家出发地不同,所以费用只是计算8人一起同行时,西安出发-回到西安的费用。于6号早上6点整到达西安站,此次车很搞笑,我在郑州等车时晚点15分钟发车,到达西安却提前了17分钟!还没下火车重庆的南丐电话我说他们在火车站对面的汽车站等我,出站后直奔汽车站,电话,寻人,见到南丐南丐,会很多驴歌的老驴,体力非常好,背了很多腐败物资。对于这次出行一直在担任收队,非常辛苦。本来这个收队是我要做的,没想到南丐一人任劳任怨的收了四天队。我怀着敬仰之心,佩服之意,围着MM转去了,嘿嘿。大家跟南丐学了三首驴歌,其中一首“革命军人个个要老婆,你要我要哪来那么多,表现好的发一个,表现不好发个老太婆 不一会来自温州的卧街也到了,他的火车晚点1小时,本来应该5点多一点到,结果比还晚……卧街一句老娘跟你拼了,表现出独有的幽默感,学驴歌时又表现出惊人的创作力,"表现不好全都留给我”我想对你说"兄弟,注意身体啊。”看似瘦弱,实则是背着全队伍最大的背包OSPREY新月85L。不过重量不是很高,主要是他那3公斤重的棉睡袋体积惊人,不过后来那天下山后把睡袋友情价出给向导了,温州人果然会做生意。我辈学习的榜样因为在街上看别人的女朋友,所以“卧街”了,这是我对于他名字的好奇,要求他自我解释由来所得。 南丐买了7点钟开往周至的客车票每张17.5元,进候车厅后又见到阿龙,点星,同样和南丐一样来自重庆 他们三人是此次队伍唯一出行前就已熟识的。阿龙,腐败至极,居然背着黄瓜到大爷海炖汤喝,苍天啊,口水。最后一天一直走在前面。在第一天的营地游戏中,和彩色沙漠调换位置后,体验出果然是风水问,坐在那准出错。 点星,女侠一样的人物,(安吉儿和彩色沙漠这么说)此次出行的会计。为我们总结出泡妹妹20条,泡哥哥若干条,如有需要请致电139**********。不知道点星是否得知自己女侠称号,为了证明自己,在下到大爷海的时候从雪坡上直接飞身下去,看的我目瞪口呆,心跳加快,竟然端着相机都忘记拍下这英勇的一刻,只在她最后停住身形的时候才反应过来拍了一张!随后悠然云行,彩色沙漠,安吉儿三人也到了,他们三人是提前一天到西安的,却是我最后见到的三位。悠然云行,早在他空间见过照片,没想到见过本人后,是越看越帅。个子很高,据某人说,“他太长了”呃,是睡在三合宫通铺上的帐篷里,头都伸到帐篷外了,哈哈。带了好多煎饼,很好吃。彩色沙漠,一位带着花边眼镜框的美女。为什么说是眼镜框,因为是没有镜片的,直到在周至包车去往厚眕子的路上我才发现!此次出行的出纳,开心果,玩游戏时为一个兔子的笑话叫大家笑到肚子痛,让大家怀疑是智商问还是风水问。我想智商肯定没问,要不大家的钱途不保啊!安吉儿,可爱的长沙美女,谋杀我相机快门数最多的人。相机总是为美女与美景而生。看似柔弱,走起来缺一点都不落后,虽然有点小感冒,吃过药后依旧活蹦乱跳惹人爱,年轻真好!我,来自郑州(黑龙江人)本次的约伴人。前窜后窜围着MM转,登顶那天自已一个人提前跑上去了,结果被风吹感冒了。由于恐高,没敢在拔仙台海拔志那留下自己的身影,只拍照片走人……坐上发往周至的班车,车上是不需要对号入座的,找了一位美女边上坐下了,经过两个小时20分到达周至大转盘附近。下车,先联系向导,您拨的用户已关机!!!崩溃,怎么关机了,赶快打另外一个手机号,还是关机,有点晕,早就说好了6号来联系焦花,他居然关机了。我赶紧打给朋友叫他查查他们元旦出行向导谢忠林的电话,结果打过后还是关机。这时我想起我还有焦花家的宅电,这回联系上了,原来是他们那的信号塔坏了手机不能用,虚惊一场。要知道我们可都是没去过太白的,没有想到可怎么走的成。接下来包车到厚眕子,最后找了一辆11座的金杯车,500元。 一路盘山,海拔拔升,车子稳稳的行驶在108国道上。时而一侧悬崖,一侧溪谷,峭壁上凝结着流水冻结成的冰挂冰瀑,甚是好看。到达厚眕子在中午12点左右,向导的儿子早早的在街道口等我们。先吃饭,悠然云行,彩色沙漠,安吉儿三人早饭还没有吃呢,已经中午了。每人一碗热气腾腾的面条,像似河南的烩面,南丐吃的是炒米。很实惠,8个人一共花了47元。小样,你捧着两碗为啥最后自己的一碗还没吃光!要辣椒!我是重庆来的这碗是我的,我以风卷残云之势,狼吞虎咽之型,一扫而光。饭后商量进山路线,原定都督门上,没有车过去。最后商定从铁甲树上去,穿越时间为6号下午,7号8号9号三整天,10号半天时间出山,为的是不用每天匆匆忙忙赶路,可以一路欣赏美景拍照,可结果腐败未遂……。8人门票100(原价60,这个向导可以和管理员商量我们去的时间也不是旺季,所以费用较少)。出发了 从厚眕子到铁甲树还有4公里的路,后来想想,完全可以叫周至的包车等我们吃完饭给我们送到景区门口的,没经验,没办法,希望给再去的朋友提个醒,不必走这4公里的冤枉路。很好看14:50分到达铁甲树,拍照留念,树上挂满了不只是为了祈福爱情还是平安的红布条,不知这一棵树能否承受。嗯,我可不可以偷偷的把我的祈福加注在这条红布上。继续前行,过了2个吊索桥,至三合宫扎营的路上承载着沉重的脚步与快乐的心情,看着匆匆的过客,与那桥下潺潺的流水,何人为我驻足,分享岁月的感伤。之后又过了N个水泥独木桥。上面尽是雪化成的冰,还好并不滑。 走一会,休息下。积雪17点左右到达营地,三合宫接待站,有现成的通铺,大家可以不必把帐篷扎在雪地下,接待站平时是要收费的,通铺每人60,扎帐篷帐篷每顶30!还好我们去的时候他们人都不在,省了费用。营地旁边就是溪水,上面有洞的冰层有10公分厚,取水口还挺大。生火做饭,第一顿,速食米饭,腊肠。我和安吉儿,彩色三人一起吃。速度最快的悠然云行,带的好吃的煎饼。人才的卧街,把米饭煮成稀饭,稀饭煮成米饭,我听了差点喷饭。不过还好我懂得浪费粮食等于犯罪,及时悬崖勒马。我的帐篷,太大,接待站的通铺扎不下,棚子内的地上全是土,很脏,所以我扎到了外面的雪地上,同样,卧街也扎到了雪地上。晚饭后大家玩游戏,学驴歌。几个人围在火堆旁,玩着南丐的“一只青蛙跳下水,咚”几个人每人说一个字,一圈无错误,下一圈加青蛙的只数和声音数。谁出错谁表演节目,很好玩,很搞笑,笑到内伤。至睡觉时八点半,因第二天6点半要起床赶路。晚上帐篷内温度最低-3.2℃,用手表测的。早起时,睡袋外层有一层水珠,不知道是不是自己的汗水偷到外层凝结成的,帐篷内帐外帐上倒是没有发现凝霜。7号一早6点半,向导早早的喊大家起床,还真守时。收账,打水,生火,做饭,出发,8点整。我和彩色沙漠发现有零星的雪花,其他人认为是树上吹落。在路上,有些树木北大学无情的压折,挡住去路,只能低头穿过或绕行。热,脱,快来看美女脱衣服!姐脱的不是衣服,是热。这是哪位?猜猜看行不多时,天空飘起了雪花,近看匆忙坠地,远看徐徐飘落。五指张开,触及雪花,那原本看似可以摸到的,却悠然的转身远去,只有那不期而至的缠绵。不一会地面上就已发白了大家对这场雪都很感兴趣,很兴奋天网恢恢疏而不漏是否指的就是这般景像?今天的路线是三合宫-南天门,海拔上升1800多米比较辛苦,途中路过3片石海今天的路线是三合宫-南天门,海拔上升1800多米比较辛苦,途中路过3片石海([]

这其实是我们夫妻俩人第二次去阿拉斯加了。第一次是在 2005 年去阿拉斯加首府朱诺(Juneau)。但是那一次天气不好,几乎全是阴雨天,玩得很不尽兴,后来也觉得朱诺的景点不够美。于是就有了再去一次的计画。这一次是去阿拉斯加最大城市安克拉治(Anchorage)以及一个小城苏沃德(Seward)。这两个城市都在阿拉斯加南方,就是下面地图的AB两个地点。其实去安克拉治只是因为国际班机在那里降落,苏沃德才是重点。整个行程都是我自己规划,不跟团,台湾旅行社只帮我们买机票。 这一次游记的照片共有 519 张,先来点精彩预告吧所有照片单击後可以放大我们在海边步道看见了野生麋鹿我们搭乘火车去苏沃德我们的旅馆在苏沃德的码头边 我们在大熊冰河露营泛舟我们沿着冰河旁的步道一路往上爬,从冰河脚下直到俯视冰河 我们走过了遍地野花的山谷预告到此为止,接下来就是游记了,我会努力更新 八月五日 出发 西雅图这是我们第一次在晚上到台湾桃园机场,灯光很鲜艳。经过十一小时飞行到达西雅图,起飞时的台北时间是八月五日晚上十一点,降落时的西雅图时间是同日晚上七点。因为经过国际换日线,时间反而倒退。我们预订的班机是明天早上六点飞往安克拉治,今晚要在西雅图过夜。这是我们预订的旅馆 Seattle Airport Marriott 的大厅。旅馆大厅的酒吧从半夜开始坐了十一小时的经济舱,难免精神萎靡,有个温暖的小窝真好。 八月六日 西雅图 安克拉治 麋鹿步道今天早起退房之后还有点时间,就去逛逛旅馆对面的一家 7-11,看看美国版和台湾版有何不同。7-11 门口有一台 DVD 和游戏光碟的自动出租机,台湾似乎还没有这样的机器。7-11 门口 一小筒哈根达斯在美国的 7-11 只卖 4.69 美金,大约 30 人民币。Walmart 的售价还要少一美金,若是遇上卖场特价活动还会更便宜。在台湾已经被炒作成两倍以上的价钱了。这里的可乐汽水都是两公升的大瓶装美国人的肚量显然远大于台湾人各种不健康加工零食,全是特大包装。五颜六色的不健康饮料,充满各式人工添加物,全美医师和医药公会强力推荐。今天早餐是在 7-11买的 snickers。不得不承认,我偶尔也会想吃不健康零食。在飞机上,坐在我们旁边的是一位美国大兵,他刚从阿富汗回来,今天是休假返乡了。西雅图机场又老又旧,安克拉治机场却是崭新的建筑,感觉很漂亮。 我们在安克拉治预订的是 Anchorage Grand Hotel,这是我们的房间。这与其说是房间,不如说是一户小公寓,空间宽敞,各种家居设施一应俱全,真是物超所值,我们都很喜欢。具体而微的小客厅此旅馆位于市区边缘,窗外那一堆白帐篷就是我们等一下要去的周末市集。从另一个角度往外看这厨房虽然小,但是有冰箱、瓦斯炉、烤箱、微波炉、洗碗机、刀叉餐具和全套橱柜,该有的都有了。床旁边有小书桌和小茶几从另一个角度看客厅([]
6月20日,6点多起来了,7点50多准时出发,这次出发多了一个用诚信交易和汗水得来的相机,还有一顶帐篷,黄,邱老板还多给了我237元,算赞助吧,恩,记下了,以后回还的。 原来郭滴人的故乡是龙岩啊。拍下 留念一路往市区走 背着50斤的行李,走了半小时 才走市区累的是 汗如雨下 。一直走。。。越走越觉得不对劲,走道了龙岩学院发短信请朋友帮忙才纠正路线 还是第一次走错路没地图真不妨便 此时已12点了 趁此时吃个饭 牛肉米粉 4元 味道还不错 往回走刚走一会一群人 把我拉了过去 东拉西扯 聊了好一会 还跟我合影呵呵 因为怕我再走错路 其中一个 开摩托车 送了我一段 可能是在龙岩这些日子养胖了 走出市区不远脚就起了两个大泡 眼前一亮嘿 前面有辆卡车停在那司机吴师傅很爽快 一听说我是旅行家 便让我 上车了 吴师傅有个坏习惯:他妈的:老是挂在嘴边当然 我知道,他没有恶意 到了永靖金山镇时 他到家了 我也再次 一个人走走了不到一公里前面也有一辆同样的货车 我上前一问 呵呵 真爽快 马上就答应了 真是 出发意料百发百中 。巧的是这位司机也姓吴,,听小吴师傅说万利达的老板 就是他们金山人荣幸 。到了漳州市区他要拐弯了,我也就下了,6点多了我找了 个公园就打起了 帐篷。在公园玩的大姐 但到我旗子后 叫住我 说:我刚吃过饭,这还有一个鸡蛋,给你。我心想 我又不是乞丐说给就给啊。接着她又说:你90元走遍中国挺不容易的的,能省就省吧 ,这还差不多 就接受了 。6月21日,好久没游泳了,早上起来后,到漳州的九龙江去游了半小时,感觉很轻松到了公路后,拦到了一辆小车,带我到了前往厦门的路口,走了不久,有揽到了一辆拖拉机 开拖拉机的连大叔告诉我连战和他是一个村的。到离厦门50公里的地方我下了车,继续往前走 可能我的打扮太拉风了,有一辆军车也挺下来 看个清楚。漳州的大桥我足足走了半小时,弄的全身是灰。走过大桥后不久快到角美镇时开着摩托车的大叔问我要不要手机 我随口说了下买不起,我灵机一动,不烦试试让他带我一段,于是就问他,他说:你坐公交车嘛,我就在这: 我说我没钱坐车,他又问:你是哪里人啊? “我是湖南人,”喔答道。说到此处,他马上拿了5元钱给我说:“你去坐车吧”真的很意外!他有送了我一段到前面,这位何大叔说:“我没带钱,要不然肯定会多给你一些的" 再次感谢何大叔。中午了,我到了一个快餐店,,5元钱给我抄了很大一碗面,当老板娘郭阿姨,听完我的故事后连连感叹,又给我舀了碗汤,,走时,还给了我很多包子,让我留着晚上吃 ,真的很谢谢郭阿姨。出来走了一会,我栏下了一辆小车,小车司机吴生,因为不去哪里,给了我10元钱 让我坐车去,因为他有事没来得及和他合影 遗憾,停在路边的一辆小车,向我招手,让我过去,聊了会,他去泉州,顺路,送我到了海沧海边,车主王老板说能跟我坐在一起他感觉很荣耀。呵呵我有一个人走过了海沧大桥登上了 厦门岛,厦门的美女真的漂亮啊!随便找个做老婆,都终身无憾了,我在一个码头的草的上,打起了帐篷。与大海为伴共度一宿。走遍中国——泉州,闽台缘6月22日,海边就是舒服,昨晚睡得很好,9点出发了,前面有几个外国人,我故意把旗子负举得很高,让他看看中国人得厉害,可他们并没什么反应,可能还不认识汉字吧,失望;厦门繁华,但很整洁,既然到了旅游城市,我就看看市民的素质怎么样吧,于是,上了公交车,第一次见到两层的公交车,厦门不愧为文明城市,我好几次想让坐都被抢在前头,气死我了因为下着大雨角也肿了。为了不辜负昨天在娇媚给我钱的两个好心人的期望,我要坐车到泉州去。现在才知道原来坐车也是一种享受!到了泉州已是12点了,听说附近有个闽台博物馆,很大,很不错,我也就马不停蹄的找了过去。博物馆里有很多台湾,福建以前的照片和场景,文化。我晃来晃去,一直到3点多才记起来还没吃饭,博物馆大堂内有一副用爆破做成的版画,很醒目。很有艺术感。泉州个我的第一映像,很文化,很适居,很和谐回复 湍河人 的帖子我没说只用90元而是我出发时 只带了90元,麻烦你弄清楚6月23日,今天想多睡会,11点了才出发,泉州的街道大都差不多,走得我都迷路了。后来,走到客运中心附近的一个快餐店,吃完饭后,老板老太太知道了我的故事后,也坚决不收我的钱。这位老太太很善良,很慈祥。一直到下午6点多才到达崇武,崇武古城门口是个夜市广场,非常热闹,什么都有卖。在崇武海边的草地上,我又搭起了帐篷。6月24日,昨晚海风非常猛烈,我的旗子唰唰的响,以前在深圳,厦门也都见过海,可那些都是些小海湾,哪有崇武的海这么大,一眼望不到尽头,今早进崇武古城夜市偷偷的溜进去的,崇武因为有了惠女的故事所以多了很多浪漫色彩。戚继光的雕像非常大。 惠安走出惠安县城时,已是12点了,拦了一个多小时都没有拦到车,最后只好坐车算了,15元到莆田,但在车上,司机对我的故事很感兴趣,就直接送我到福清了,福清人口非常多,不过城中的小河,挺漂亮的,特别是在黄昏时分。河中间有个寺庙有很多人在里面看戏,我看了一会,不知道在唱什么。唱了一小段时,我到后台,去跟戏剧演员,合影去。戏剧演员也对我竖起大拇指,说了不起!今天下午在公园休息时碰到一个明天会去永泰玩的叶先生,我明天可以搭他的顺风车去永泰。回复 湍河人 的帖子钱和物我都不是白吃白要的,我都记下了联系方式,以后会还的 回复 湍河人 的帖子多谢你的提议,以后不会接受别人的施舍走遍中国——森林人家,献歌一路上有你6月24日,早上如约和叶先生在公园会和后,和他的朋友一起共五辆车,一同前往永泰方向,本来想在永泰的一个路口下车的,因为太累我竟在车上睡着了,就随着他们一起来到了永泰与蒲天交界的大洋镇森林人家,据说这是一个红色革命景区,有点类似于农家乐,到了之后,心想,来都来了那我也看看吧。([]

摇摇晃晃中坐了1个多小时,终于看到公交站台上写着:红山市场。红山?游牧说坐51路在红山站下耶。我拉起朗郎想也没多想就下了车,一看街道门牌号,这里根本不是什么人民路。细细地问过路人才知道人民路离这里至少还有5站远,红山市场和红山是不同的两个站。哎,坑人的破51路,就以这样的形象待远方的客人的? 背着背包在乌鲁木齐街头走5站是我和朗郎干得最蠢也是最有意义的一件事,因为18天后我们离开时,我和朗郎几乎可以在乌鲁木齐的大街小巷随意穿行。 两个小时后我们终于看到了乌鲁木齐的金融街,看到了‘繁华’的杆,看到了人民路130号。 “你好!请问游牧帮我们预订的房间是多少号?”我问酒店前台的服务员 “游牧?没有这个人订过房间。”服务员回我 “不可能,他是领队,昨天到的。”我肯定地讲。服务员问我他叫什么名字。我一下愣住,想半天也想不起游牧叫什么名字。服务员看我们的装束,笑着说:“是不是戴伟?摄手座摄影户外俱乐部?”我连声点头。服务员小妹却为我们着实捏了一把汗:“不知道别人名字就跑来跟人家玩,你们太胆大了。”我耸耸肩膀:“是朋友了,去年随他走过西藏的,只是大家一直都呼网名呢。” 2013.5.1619:30乌鲁木齐人民路90号马三元牛肉面 天生抗拒面食的我,只觉得敦煌的拉条子和兰州的马六子牛肉面好吃。我和朗郎已经在街上转了半小时没见有米饭店,想试一下面前的马三元牛肉面和门口的烤羊肉串。遗憾的是,我除了喝一口面汤和半串烤羊肉外,一根面也吞食不下去。朗郎着急地说:“你喊吃面的,结果又吃不下。”我想,口味很好的他是难以理解我的这个特殊的有毛病的挑食的胃的。 我的内心很痛苦。我知道一个正常人不进食是不现实的,一天可以,在新疆我要呆接近20天,怎么办?又走了很长的路依然没发现有米饭店。朗郎开始责备我,希望我能吃些东西:“你说你不吃东西怎么能行?”有那么几分钟我甚至感觉到了绝望,心情无比沮丧,我钟爱的驴行生活会不会因为我这个对食物挑剔的胃而中断?元旦单车骑海南时也是前三天几乎没进食,后来靠8264和喝脉动保持体力,到了三亚才适应了那里的饮食...... 到乌鲁木齐才三个小时,我和朗郎因为吃东西这个问闹得心里很不舒服,彼此之间的气氛很僵硬。 乌鲁木齐国际大巴扎离人民路1.9公路,快晚上8点钟了,这里的天还亮得很,据说要11点才完全黑,我和朗郎决定先去逛逛。 2013.5.1620:30分乌鲁木齐国际大巴扎 乌鲁木齐气氛很紧张,乌鲁木齐很安全。 从过机场安检口到乌鲁木齐国际大巴扎市场,每时每刻都能看到全副武装的警察列队从身边走过,大街小巷里随处可见待命的警车,乌鲁木齐的空气很紧张。这跟前不久喀什发生的爆乱事件有关,整个新疆戒备。紧张的气氛却让我感觉到十分地安全。最危险的地方就是最安全的地方,这话用在现在的乌鲁木齐太贴切了。更何况我身边有朗郎,有一位曾经特训过的卧底后备人才,有他相伴的路我什么也不害怕。 去年7月到西藏时情况跟今天的乌鲁木齐差不多,我在拉萨的同学反复安慰我:“哎呀,我们拉萨安全的很啊,比内地安全多了。”感受也真的像同学讲的那样,气氛紧张但十分安全。 我对购物向来兴趣不大,所以到了大巴扎也是走马观花般看看了事,40分钟左右我们就要回酒店了。大批的旅游团被拉到国际大巴扎,看来这是参团旅行的一个景点。 2013.5.1622:30乌鲁木齐好美快捷酒店 从大巴扎回酒店的路上,我们边走边找吃的东西。好几个街边小摊正火冒三丈炒着食物,朗郎劝我多少吃一点,我不知道自己是怎么回事,别人一劝我吃我抗拒的食物我就心烦得慌,越说越烦,再劝就要发狂了。因为这个事,我曾经伤害过我身边最亲爱的人,妈妈和坐。也因为这样的怪脾气失去了我的第一次婚姻,弄丢了喜欢了20年的坐。 现在,上天好不容易给了我一个朗郎,我们之间依然无法逾越这道痛苦的墙,这让我无比伤心,泪流无声。我和朗郎会因为这个问无休止的争吵和沉默吗?总有一天他会承受不了而选择离开吗?我不知道。 回到酒店,两个人都不说话。像这样冷淡的场面在之前的4年里每一天重复在我面前上演,我已经受够了,恐惧,几乎崩溃。每一次绝望都会立刻引发胃剧烈的痛,这样的恶性循环对我来说是致命的。 你不喜欢,可以放开手,不要冷爆力。 正在那时,电话响了,是游牧。“色色,你到了吗?吃饭了没有?”我无比委屈地在电话这端摇头,因为我真的好饿,我想吃米饭。“米饭?有啊,快来吧,我们正吃呢,就在酒店附近......” 哈哈,米饭! 挂断电话我拉着朗郎直奔游牧吃饭的地方,游牧在街口等我们。游牧和朗郎是第一次见识,但一眼认出朗郎来。去年与游牧走西藏在成都分手后,我也是快1年没见到他了。 还记得当时的那句话:5月18日,乌鲁木齐见!(因16位驴友AA去江布拉克,所以我们提前两天到乌鲁木齐)([]
四月份的旅行,一直到N个月之后才想着要写点儿什么记录下,我想我真是的不可救药了。这会儿,又在N个月之后想起来要把这点儿烂东西写在8264上。不是祭奠,不是纪念,而已而已。的确是老了,这一年,我毕业了。想想那会儿自己还在为毕业论文发愁,转眼间,这就已经开始为生计忧心了。前路很难走,没有目,没有追求,像一只无头苍蝇一样乱闯,梦想都如海市蜃楼一般似乎永远难以企及。现实总是很残酷,进入社会更是如此。大学时光多美好,那么地无忧无虑。深夜,只是想完整地回想一下自己的大学时代最后一次旅行,去从记忆里找回一些毕业之后正在急速流逝的东西。恕我一楼纯属习惯性扯淡,请速略过。这是一篇说准低下、粗制滥造的流水账,有价值的信息着实不多。。。见谅。在越南,路上遇到的湖南苗族妹子,喜欢。几天没上8264,没想到帖子竟然被这么多朋友关注,谢谢啦!为了不打断帖子的连续性,我就先不回复大家的留言了!~~回头再一一谢过,哈哈,很开心。~~我会继续更新的,不可能TJ,还有200多张照片没上传呢!------2012-12-08------------------------------------很懒,一般忙。。。所以更新的奇慢。末日过后,继续更新一会儿吧。。。哈哈,后半程的旅程,其实更精彩。谢谢关注。------2012-12-22------------------------------------2012年的倒数第二天了,又来更新。按照这个进度。。。年前貌似都没机会更新完。。。自娱自乐吧,哈哈------2012-12-30-----------------------------------2012年的最后一天,忙里偷闲再来更新。。。只是因为有一个观众,我就已经很开心啦。。。哈哈。------2012-12-31-----------------------------------我的时间都跑去哪里了。。。真是个悲剧。什么时候才能更新完。。。------2013-01-26-----------------------------------这次要是更新不完就让这个帖子烂尾吧。。。------2013-03-09----------------------------------- L。003楼,起始篇https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-24192051.html011楼,河内篇https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-24192496.html174楼,顺化篇 https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-24412226.html222楼,会安篇 https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-24415650.html471楼,芽庄篇 https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-24926187.html554楼,美奈篇 https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-26264078.html586楼,西贡篇 https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-27428080.html648楼,完结篇 https//bbs.8264.com/forum-redirect-goto-findpost-ptid-1534366-pid-27430143.html 国内我和C两个人,在各自完成论文的三天里,仓促定下了旅行的目的地,迅速搞定了相关事宜,匆匆出发。路线是我定的,为了最大限度的节省开支。。。。现在想来真不是什么好主意。天津——长沙——南宁——凭祥——友谊关。国内的路线就是这样的,其实没省几个钱,倒是实在够折腾。太平街,橘子洲,天心阁,差不多这就是在长沙的一天。没什么特别的,想去博物馆,结果不幸的遭遇闭馆。挺冷的,四月的长沙。长沙站 在南宁休整了一夜,换了些美元,也没做过多停留,继续南下。南宁站坐火车到凭祥,空荡荡的车厢,对面坐着的一对老夫妇挺让人羡慕的,大把年纪了还可以一去出去游山玩水。在凭祥拼车去友谊关的时候,又遇到两位老人,是当年参加过对越自卫反击战的老战士。我的军人梦啊。。。空荡荡的车厢在凭祥出火车站,有出租车和小面包车去友谊关,一个人十块钱的样子。。。入友谊关,出境,进入越南。越南那边军人索贿成风,我跟C也没能幸免……不过刚过境就遇到好人了,我俩傻傻地没在友谊关换越盾,这位越南大哥帮我们拿的几万盾的车费。PS 在友谊关换越盾是最划算的,4月份那会儿大概1RMB=3300VND。我们是在过境后的一个车站换的,稍亏一点。友谊关/镇南关 一个车站,从这里坐车去河内,记得一个人貌似是120千吧。。。记不清楚了。一路上车里放得都是中文歌,刘德华的居多。。。中途休息,第一次吃越南的东西。 休息的那家饭馆,没什么吃的,东西也不便宜 河内在去河内的路上,遇到了在越南做生意的福建大哥,也是个好心人!~河内是越南首都,北方最大的城市。到达之后,给我的第一感觉是挺乱的,房屋,街道,车辆。。。摩托车特别多,这是很多地方共同的特点。在河内,我们一共住了两晚,住在还剑湖北的三十六街里。三十六街是越南老城最具特色的地方,纵横交错的街道,每一条街都给人不一样的感觉。不过本来也是,三十六街是河内历史悠久的商业街区,每条街都是自己专营的物品,置身其中,真的很容易迷路的。迷路了的话,没准儿逛得惬意呢。在河内的第一天晚上,吃到了整个越南行的最好吃的粉。念念不忘。越南的物价不如想象中的便宜,C买了一双人字拖也花掉了100多千。(在越南,大家通常都喜欢以千来计货币)我也在一家服装连锁店里买了短裤和T恤,同样花掉100多千。我们花钱,真得很省。。。河内有很多受中国文化影响的遗存,三十六街里几乎每一条街都存在有着汉字牌匾的祠堂,甚至还剑湖上面的玉山祠,都写满了汉字。不过越南本地人,几乎没有认识它们的。。。胡志明纪念堂,因为去的晚了,没赶得及。只在旁边的胡志明故居里转了转。在河内只呆了两天,短了点,这座城市,很吸引我。PS 去越南的游客很多,所以他们流行国际友人价。。。还有最好在正规的地方换开整钱,不然可能会出现少找钱的状况的。。。越南OPEN BUS,一分价钱一分货,新咖啡确实不错,但是假冒的特别多,认准喽。还剑湖北侧,那个志性建筑 发一张当时我手里的钱,千万富翁啊!~~哈哈哈 再来一张,越南盾摸起来比较有手感,中面值和大面值的防伪志是一小块透明的塑料膜。河内的老街区,处处谨防骗子。在河内,被骗的经历挺多的。。。还有强买强卖呢!~~不过只要态度坚决一点,就没问!~~走出国门,不要怯懦!!! 粉(越南语PHO)应该是越南人最喜欢的食物,在越南,从北至南,都是如此。如果你吃不惯的话,一定会很难受,因为除了粉之外可以选择的食物的确不多。。。我感觉还好吧,可能是我喜欢吃米线的缘故,觉得之间都大同小异的。在河内,第一天晚上,在三十六街哪个不知名的角落里,吃到了毕生难忘的炒粉。现在回想起来味道似乎都还在嘴边萦绕,太好吃了。。。是我整个越南之行最满意的一顿饭了。。。只是再去找那家店的时候,找不到了。还剑湖是河内市中心的一个小池塘,真不大,绕一圈十分钟的样子。还剑湖北面就是三十六街——河内历史悠久 老商业街,现在也是众多国外游客在河内落脚的地方。还剑湖上有玉山祠,一水儿的汉字。门票很便宜,但是白天也没去得了。晚上倒是过去逛了逛,在国外看到汉字,感觉怪怪的。 再上一张玉山祠的照片,晚上许多越南人本地人也来这里游玩儿呢,特别是见到许多对儿情侣。不过大晚上的,这种白色粉刷的建筑加上黑字红字,还真有点儿阴森。。。 还剑湖北面,还是那座志性的船楼,晚上会显得更加好看一些。。。觉得上面是挺高端花费挺大的地方,所以根本没考虑过去看看。这个路口是个交通要道,很适合做集结地,也很好找到。河内街头路灯下悬挂的条幅,大概是之前庆祝越南**建党72周年的。。。硕果仅存的四个社会主义国家之一的越南的种种。。。看透不说透,想说不敢说没必要说也没什么可说的。。。在越南,过马路一定要小心,摩托车数量堪比曾经中国的自行车了。不过也不要紧,据说越南人骑车的技术都超好!~~而且看他们都很有安全意识,在越南两周,见到无数个骑摩托车的人竟然无一个不戴头盔的。我挺享受这种游荡在三十六街中迷路的感觉的……真的,我可以在这里背着个小包走上一整天。白马最灵祠,赶路的时候路过的,没有走进去看看,一直很好奇那匹最灵的白马当年是如何显圣的。为何拍这张照片。。。貌似是跟同学打赌这里是干什么的,我猜测是幼儿园……河内老城里,几乎每一条街道中有隐藏着这样一座祠堂,遥想当年……那天去看胡志明的路上。。。参考着地图,用自己的双脚丈量一下这座城市的街道,地图就深深地烙印在脑子里了。像是政府机关,多简朴的大门……排长队,看胡志明爷爷……这个必须得早去,我们9点半多到的,四五十分钟,10点半到存包处被告知已经不能再向前了。有点遗憾啊。。。不过想想北京去过N多次,也没见一回毛爷爷,倒也释然了。胡志明广场,远方的建筑物就是胡志明纪念堂。能遇到许多组团来参观的越南人,会一起在纪念堂前面合影,跟国内的一些老年团去北京看天安门差不多。胡志明故居,看不了真人,只能去看他呆过的地方了。。。这是一个很大的院子,建筑物普遍都是这种黄色格调的。胡志明生命最后几年住的小阁楼,四面通风,特别凉爽。前面一批看样子是退伍老兵的越南人组团参观。([]
本贴所有图文,均属原创。谢绝任何形式的转载。如有需要,请留言。 本次出行线路:上海-南宁-河内-顺化-会安-芽庄-大叻-美奈-西贡-金边-暹粒-四千美岛-万象-琅勃拉邦-昆明-上海。2011年12月12日出发,2012年1月9号回到上海,总共耗时29天。 本次出行人员:我,我的金牌搭档花花,浙江大叔,东北哥们,四川妹子。其中东北哥们到越南美奈后就和我们分开了,四川妹子到柬埔寨暹粒后也和我们分开了。大叔玩完柬埔寨就回国了,只有我和花花走完了原计划的全部行程。 去之前,我曾经对越南满肚子意见,排华,双轨制,宰起外国人来毫不手软,没有风景也没有人文积淀……等走完三国,发现我还是觉得越南最好。因为被法国殖民很多年,受影响很深,干净,颇具法式风情。跟旅游有关的行业都非常成熟,宾馆便宜,国际电话便宜,最妙的一点是,WIFI几乎覆盖所有旅行者足迹能到的地方,每到一地,掏出手机或电脑,就能上网,有很多还是不设密码的,随便蹭。我开玩笑:蹲在大街上的垃圾桶边上,都有网络可以蹭。度假可以去越南。 柬埔寨是一生中必须要到的地方之一,无他,盖因吴哥太壮观耳。彳亍其中,那种震撼,不是简单的语言可以描述的。 很多旅行者对老挝推崇备至,认为那是东南亚最后一片净土。我到了之后,却大失所望。脏,到处都是漫沙和黄尘,旅馆客栈的卫生条件也大不如越南。村民不错,淳朴,但所有的生意人都联合一致,众志成城地对付外国游客,哪怕你买一瓶水,也得付出比老挝本国人贵一至两倍的价格。不过,四千美岛和琅勃拉邦还是很好的。 除了吴哥,其他地方的风景并没有特别出奇的,就可玩程度来说,远远比不上尼泊尔。推荐有空闲又想不起去哪里的人,可以一试。会一点简单的英语就可以走这三国,其中暹粒已经被中国游客占据了半壁江山,几乎每个人都会说一两句中文,因为这几年,吴哥景区接待的游客中,有40%都是华裔。在景区里走着,随时都能听到中文导游的声音。 因为华裔游客众多,暹粒会说中文的TUTU司机非常抢手,如非提前预约,根本没有可能找上他们。因此我们找的也是英文司机,个人感觉不一定非得迷信网上推荐的中文司机,不但贵,有很多还被中国游客给惯坏了,名不符实。**先上几张组图,兄弟姐妹们多捧场~ 春秋照例晚点一小时,等到达南宁时,已经是晚上9点。和花花会合,住的宾馆就在火车站对面,离第二天的上车地点也很近。她已经买好了13号早上7点前往河内的巴士车票。 车是直达的,走凭祥友谊关进越南,有车掌小姐跟随,每人发一瓶水,含一顿午饭。车是广西运德公司承运的,车况不错,崭新。 到友谊关后,下车,过关。越南入境处真是搞笑,也没人出来维持个秩序什么的,所有的人都乱哄哄挤在一起,菜市场一样嘈杂。 接我们护照的证官俊眉朗目,堪称摔锅,我大大地诧异起来,印象里的越南人,不都是黑,矮,瘦,丑的么?怎么第一个见到的越南人,就颠覆了我以往的认知? 一直等了近一个小时,才拿到盖好入境章的护照,没有碰到勒索。 进越南,换了越南某公司的车,继续往河内开。一路分两次换了500元人民币,有1:3200,也有1:3300的。**友谊关。 到河内是当地时间下午3点半。合伙打了个的,根据功略,要求司机载我们到还剑湖边的肯德基,据说那里是旅行者聚集的地方。卸下行李,和花花去找房。河内的住宿没有传说中那么便宜,间基本上都是20刀以上,找了很久,找到一个30刀的两张大床的房,旅馆同意给我们加2张单人床,于是我和花花睡一张床,到越南的第一晚,是五个人挤在一个房间里睡的。 是晚磨牙声此起彼伏,烦躁中仔细分辨,是东北哥们和四川妹子发出的…… 晚饭就在街边找了个干净的看上去有点情调的小店,一翻菜单,一碗粉6万。真不便宜啊!我看到菜单上有“baby eggs”,不知道那是啥玩意,就点了一个,端上来一看,是没生下来就被杀了的鸡肚子里的小鸡蛋! 填饱肚子就回宾馆,有WIFI,每个人都带了电脑,蹲在床上上网。考虑到便携性,我在网本和IPAD之间犹豫了很久,最后还是带了IPAD。这个小东西到手一年了,之前一直懒得琢磨怎么安装应用程序,所以一直丢在床底下没动过,出来之前俺这个电脑盲使劲研究了一下,把该装的都装上了,就顺便带出来玩玩吧,毕竟看电影玩游戏还是很不错的。 其实,出国如果不是度假,呆在一个地方不动,有大把的时间用来发呆的话,是没有必要带电脑的,一只能无线上网的手机,就把什么都搞定了。大部分时间里,我上网看网页,发围脖,其实都是用手机。**6万一碗的粉。回来后被鱼猪嘲笑了,说这么贵也敢吃。。。第二天早上吃的法棍,比当地人贵一倍多……不过里面夹肉和蔬菜以及沙拉,还挺好吃的。早上起来先围着还剑湖转了一圈。如果你仅仅是围着还剑湖走,你会觉得,这是在中国。因为你眼睛所看到的,几乎全是中文。寺庙的名字,廊柱上的对联,石碑上的词,全部是中文。一句话,只要是看上去有点年代的东西,都离不开中文。 很多新娘在拍婚纱,穿着传统的奥黛。奥黛这种服饰,由身材均匀的女子来穿,非常之好看,越发显得人飘逸曼妙。不过因为它的上衣的开叉在腰部以上,对身材要求比较高,不能有一点赘肉。可惜一直都没有拍到一张象样的奥黛照片。*路过的小庙。圣约瑟大教堂。就在我们住的旅馆附近。来个特写……外墙上的圣父雕塑。教堂内部。看圣经的老人。还剑湖……湖边溜达。玉山祠/全是中文……过一座桥,里面是个小小的寺庙。有人在做法事。穿棕色衣服的女人,唱得抑扬顿挫的,可惜一句听不懂……风月……还剑湖边的肯德基。对背包客来说,这是一个地性的建筑。要去的童鞋,表忘记啊!离圣诞不远了,到处都是雪人和鹿车~年轻人就这样坐在街边,喝一杯果汁,一杯咖啡,谈几个小时恋爱。我们住宿的小巷. 逛完湖边,打的去新咖啡买今天晚上的票。越南有很多冒牌的新咖啡,据说有的就开在隔壁,但是正宗的新咖啡居然也很淡定,相安无事。这种情况如果换了在中国发生,两家早就打破头了。 网上找新咖啡的地点,叫了辆的士送过去,七拐八拐开了好一会才到。走进去,有点店大欺客的感觉,店员的态度不冷不热的,也是,他们才不愁客源呢! 选了河内、顺化、会安、芽庄、大叻、美奈、西贡这条线,每人46刀。后来在路上碰到过中国人,乘坐的是别的巴士公司的车,40刀。当然,也许他们的线路和我们的略有出入,我们选的,是最长的一条线,很多人在芽庄大叻和美奈这3个地方中,只会选其中2个。 虽然店员态度不咋地,但是做事还是非常规矩。一一告诉我们:今天晚上去顺化的车,是不停的,我们必须吃好晚饭过来乘车;下一站旅程必须提前两天去办事处确认;如果碰到周末,每人要加3刀的附加费……这样也好,就算是宰你,也宰在了明处。看到有人说买了别的公司的票,等上了车被要求再加钱的。我们没有碰到这情况。唯一一次在芽庄,确认去西贡的票时,因为是圣诞节,别人都加了3-5万不等,只有我一分钱没加。多半是那个服务小姐忘记了。花花夸我终于人品大爆发了一次…… 定好票又打个的回旅馆。车子开了5分钟就到了肯德基,大家面面相觑,这么近?敢情前一个司机是坑爹呢,带着我们绕了那么远,这么近的路程,就是步行也不过十分钟左右! 没法,已经当了瘟生被宰了,只好捏着鼻子认倒霉。 回到旅馆退房。越南的宾馆客栈入住时,都要求交上护照,等走的时候,付房钱,退还护照。一路行来都是如此,只有在西贡,只是填写了护照上的资料后就还给我们了,也不用预先付押金什么的,走时结帐。 背着包重新步行到新咖啡,把包存在那里。大叔和东北哥们想去独柱寺,胡志明纪念馆去看看,我们没兴趣,于是兵分两路。临分开前,花花反复叮嘱他们:“车是晚上6点半出发的,6点之前一定要回到这里。”定票的时候,新咖啡的工作人员就是要求我们6点钟等候的,因为车停在别的地方,必须分批把旅客送过去,所以要提前一点到。 我们又重新走回到湖边,乱逛一圈,累了,拐进路边一个咖啡店。越南产咖啡,所以咖啡卖得很便宜,人民币3元就能买上一杯。 店里有WIFI,一边喝咖啡一边上网。 眼看着时间快到了,吃了晚饭,走回新咖啡。*午饭,鸡肉饭。好象是3万5一碗,忘记了。。继续在湖边闲逛。一个流浪艺术家,在给一对情侣画像。([]

There are many like-minded asking me about it. I now present this thread to briefly tell everybody about my journey.The starting point of this traverse was from the highest peak of the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Jieshan Daban, and the day was April 20, 2010.I was heading eastward passing Bungdag Co, Yanghu Co, Rola Co, and Kangzhagri Mountain, which crossed over the desolate region from west to east. The journey continued northward to enter the unpopulated area of Altun Mountains, through Hoh Xil Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Whale lake, ..., finally met some people by the Aqqikkol Hu and then arrived in Huatugou by vehicle three days later and that day was July 5. It had been 77 days in total. I had been all alone 74 days after leaving Jieshan Daban until arriving inAqqikkol Hu, which was about 1400km and about four months.[The Great Chang Tang] In Tibetan, "Chang Tang" means northern empty wilderness while narrowly, means unpopulated region in northern part of Tibet. However, it actually indiCATes all of the no man's land in northern. The great Chang Tang includes desolate places in Northern Tibet, Hoh Xil, Alun Mountains, and Kunlun Mountains, which are interconnected to form the unique and super empty wilderness in the world. Only because Hoh Xil is the most known name, most people just think this vast land is equivalent to Hoh Xil. In reality, Hoh Xil is only a small piece of the Great Chang Tang both administratively and geologically. The Great Chang Tang, the last land to chase your freedom and dream.The route that I traversed ForeplayI arrived in Tibet in the early March, a couple of troubles bothered me. The brand new plug got its positive and negative wrongly connected; the rivets of my rucksack eASIly got broken from now and again; and a multi-functional charger got damaged and so on. Riding my bike to Ngari for warming up of this journey, lost my rucksack but later got it back; lost my camera bag and got it back later again, and finally lost a big bicycle pannier in the street of Gyangze town under the eyes of police, including clothes, solar panel and so on.Without much choice, I returned to Lhasa to adjust all the stuff I would need in the wilderness. Then I begged some luck by going to Nyingchi to enjoy the blossoms of peach trees and to take a hot spring bath. I even had the privilege to enjoy time with ten girls in the hot spring. I felt my bad luck had all gone and then returned to Lhasa again to prepare going to Ngari. I did not expect that I was cheated on by some hustler and lost some money and delayed my schedule for a week. I had to find a car myself quickly to Nagri. However, I lost the tool for fast-parting my rear wheel on my way to Nagri, where was a remote area in Tibet and nowhere to buy the tool. Even if there was one in Lhasa it would take at least ten days for a special delivery service. I was lucky that my mate Duola asked a driver to bring the tool for me from Lhasa. I thought there should be no more nightmare like this but the nozzle of my brand new multi-fuel stove was broken. The next day I tried everywhere to weld them back together. The first three shops could not do the welding for copper. The fourth one said they could do it but could not guarantee a sUCCess. The engineer said it would be ten Chinese yuans if it was a success. I agreed. Just in seconds, my nozzle became crap in a flash of lightening. I was so upset. Again, Duola helped me by bringing her own MSR oil stove and Dingding's sleeping bag to Nagri. That was already April 16 and I did not have much time to waste. The following day I found a vehicle heading to Jieshan Daban.The sand storm over Yarlung Zangbo RiverA lonely peach tree blossoming in Yarlung Zangbo Grand CanyonNatural hot spring in wild, me singing and drinking (photo by a friend of mine) Day 1(April 20), 16km, Camping 5192mIt was a truck with a full load of iron wastes, arriving in Jieshan Daban at 6'o clock in the morning. It was still night and extremely cold and dark. Driver was not bothered to pop his head out of the driving cab. I climbed up on the top of the iron wastes, taking my bicycle down. In a hurry, I punched my old water bag. Fortunately I had another MSR water bag given by a friend of mine otherwise I would definitely fail without even starting my journey. For the first time for me to set up the brand new tent in strong, cold winds. It would be impossible to do so if the tent was not a whole piece. Extremely cold outside, about -15C, might be lower than that, I put my head into the sleeping bag but was nearly suffocated to death, honestly. The smell of Dingding's sleeping bag was, lol, so extraordinary. I woke up around 11 o'clock. There were still strong winds outside so that I had to use my bodyweight to keep the tent in place. At the time when I just started to cook and eat, four patrolling soldiers approached me. To their surprise someone, in this season, camped in Jieshan Daban. I was so nervous and afraid they were the people to block my journey because I was caught and deported from the desolate land last year. Luckily the four soldiers did not know my destination and were very kind to me. After they left, I immediately packed my stuff and pushed my bike into the depths of the unpopulated area just in case anything unexpected happened.The bike was very heavy due to the provisions and hard to control. There was even a quite small hill that I had to remove my bike panniers to get over it. This really struck me because this happened even the path was still the hardship one at the moment and I could not imagine what I would do once I entered the uncertain, endless wilderness. Until now I had not met anyone, even the nomadic pastoralists. I remembered there were quite a few of them roaming at the edge of the northern Tibetan plateau last year. All of these indicated it was not the good pasture season in such low temperature and strong winds. Around 16km there was a sheep cote, where I passed it last year, east of Lungmu Co. I was exhausted at this point so that I decided to camp in here and to rest my head. After arranging tent everything I went out to look for the wetland discovered by Duola and Liumeng last year. I was determined to find it.There were many hot springs in the wetland which were underground water with a constant temperature. The wetland therefore became an ideal habitat for some fishes and weeds under such harsh weather, which was the very unique land feature of terrain in this over 5200m highland.Perpetual snow in the valley blown to corn shape by strong windsThis wetland was discovered by Duola and Liumeng. The next day rather than continuing to travel, I stayed inside the sheep cote, hesitating and pondering over. Indeed, there were so many problems before this journey;I did not have sufficient physical preparation;the load had already reached its limitation; I still coughed a lot;the weather was so extreme and cold. All in all, I did not think this journey was well prepared and I did not have confidence in completing this journey mentally and physically. To do, or not to do, it was the question. Similarly I did not have confidence in my facilities, not knowing whether all of them would work functionally or not. The fact was one of the rivets got broken again and the front rack came loose. In the afternoon, I replaced all the rivets of the panniers with screws I had prepared before. This was an excellent job I had done which gave me no further troubles throughout my whole journey. I also re-adjusted the front rack. However I did not think it would definitely all right because I did not have a tool to do it. When the darkness descended,I made up my mind to continue my journey, which, of course, was not beyond any imagination. You could hear the gigantic sound of wind if the picture had a sound Day 3 (April 22), 52.4km, Camping 5145mGot up in the morning, could not put everything into the bags. Without much choice I had to throw away three portions of tsampa, elbow pads, and crampons. Following the road of the lead-zinicmine I found the side path to enter the wilderness, which was on the riverbed and very hard to see. I missed this side path last year so that I had to take a short cut into the wilderness directly then. That was why I had taken extra care to find the side path. The following journey was to get over a big hill, which lay 5275m above sea level and was the highest point of my whole journey. Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I passed the side path leading to Orba Co and started a journey which was complete strange to me. I ate a piece of pilot breads, which was frozen like rocks so that I had to use my spade to crush it. At 6 o'clock in the evening, I had pushed plus rode my bicycle for about 32 km. I reckoned I should have been able to double this if I did no carry such heavy load. The wind became stronger and stronger. I opened the parasail kits and tested it. The result was far beyond what I expected. With the aid of the strong wind I was just like flying over the wilderness. After 8 o'clock in the evening, I started to observe the water Source and to get ready to camp. Map showed there were successive springs along the path and assembled to puddles. But I had overestimated the water source here in this land and in this season there were endless wilderness inside the valley, where I could not see a single drop of water. As it became darker and darker, I felt a little bit nervous which resulted in three spokes of the parasail broken and became a useless rubbish. Anyway, it helped me to move forward 20km more which benefited me a lot later on. When time approached 9.30 pm, it was almost completely dark. I had to lie my bike on the ground and went on to try to find water on the north side of the valley. This was a wide and flat sandy land, where I could not see any ditches there and further was complete darkness. I returned to get my GPS to look up the contours and found the south part of the valley was closer to a hill so I took the way. Finally I found a piece of ice in a ditch. I smashed about 20litre of ice. The ice was quite shallow scattered with sheep poo. On my way back, my eyes were hurt by strong winds, which got me a couple of days to recover. It was nearly 23 o'clock after I set up the tent. It also took about 40 mins to melt the ice. I was so tired and my appetite was completely spoiled. I then had a little bit of milk. I had never expected thing would go like this, it was so distressing. Streams along the path, ice everywhereThe river flew into Matou Hu, in whose north part there was a satellite lake, a wonderful ice-skating court It took 40mins to melt the ice in midnight Day 4 (April 23), 31km, Camping 5028mA cloudy day with gusts. From now and again, hails chased me from behind. Sunny spell. Heavy sandy land made me have to push my bike. At 3pm, I arrived at Luxing Hu, where there was a house made of clay. This was the last permanent building of my journey. Last year, Duola and Liumeng once lived in this house for three days without meeting anybody. It seemed it was the same but the truck parking in front of the house made me worry about. I went to the sheep cote first to check over, where there were only a few lambs following me everywhere I went later on. This made me feel warm in my heart. I observed farther places using my binoculars but could not see any people or sheeps. After making sure there were no people around I opened the locked door using a screwdriver. The living room was very clean. There were two boxes of beverages on the ground and a string of cured lamb legs hanging over in the interior room. A pot of water was on the top of the stove, lukewarm, which indicated the host must be not far away from his home. I filled up my water bag and left the house. I also put the screws back to the door in order not to leave any trace of my visiting. I then took a spanner from the toolbox of the truck, which gave me great help for the rest of the journey.I left the house as quickly as possible. After last year's experience, the nomadic pastoralists were the last people I wanted to meet. A few hundred meters away from the house, the vehicle traces were fading fast. Even downhill, I had to push rather than to ride because of the heavy loose sand. From the route point of view, only after Luxing Hu it was the real unpopulated land. After many days, I thought of the lamb legs from time to time. It was pity that I then had plenty of provisions and the bike was too heavy to carry anything more. Probably this road was the high plain or somewhere the wind passed so that it was so windy. The average wind speed was degree 6 but could reach degree 9 in the blick of an eye. The road was still full of sand and very heavy to walk on it. My eyes became worse under such harsh weather. About three o'clock in the afternoon, I saw something in my right, looked like antenna. I went closer to see what it was and found out it was an iron tower (the triangulation station). In 1970s, a joint team from Chinese three military regiments entered this area doing research. They have left a lot of triangulation stations and benchmarks, which I had the priviledge to see them today.At dusk, I approached to a spring by the Bungdag Co, which flew into the frozon lake. The sand and soil, brought by the strong wind, scattered on the surface of the ice all over the lake. There were so many cracks around the icey surface of the lake. I geussed it must be caused by the springs under the water rather than by melted ice. In the west of the Bungdag Co was the side path leading to Keriya Pass, where a SUV could reach directly. I had looked out any vehicle Tracks but failed. The cloudy sky started to snow. Spongy volcanic rocks could be found easily. I pushed my bike turning around a small hill, seeing a big river, the Yinshui He, flowing from Orba Co into Bungdag Co, which I had been to its upstream last year. It was also a passage for animal migration. The downstream of the river was extremely wide and broad. The thickess of the ice layer could reach one meter with the main stem in the middle course of the river, very deep. There were a few springs along the river, sweet and clear.I only went forward a little bit more than 4km but I had walked more than 20km for finding my way. It was not possible to cross the main stem, let alone the north bank of Bungdad Co. What I could only do was to try to find a shallow place to cross. But the southern area was a even larger piece of wetland and forced the road turn towards west. I spent a couple of hours but failed to find a good point to cross the river. In the afternoon, I decided to follow the edge of the wetland. When I reached the hill foot, the wetland finally disappeared. Around this area, there were clearly volcanic feature of terrain and I even found traces of pasturing and cairns made from volcanic rock.Here was the last pasturing trace I found throughout my journey, I guessed it was a summer pasture area. After this, there was no clear sign of human activities in this vast wilderness. I had been looking for my ways until it was dark. I made up my mind where to go TOMOrrow. The terrain here looked like Yardang landforms, as well as volcanic landforms The Yinshui He river from Orba CoSprings scattered all over the river bank, painted green by lovely algaeThe river was very deep. The mixture of green and amber colour showed the sand and mud carried by the melted iceThick layer of ice, sunken surface caused by strong gustsThe south course of the Yinshui He, countless small streams. To the right was the wetlandLooking for ways in the east, a trace of pasturing and the cairn made from spongy volcanic rocksMy camp, opposite to the hillDay 7 (April 26), 11km, Camping 5009mI moved forward to the direction I found yesterday, turning around the wetland and walking toward east. At 2pm, I was blocked by the zigzag Yinshui He again and I had no choice but to cross it. The river was about 700m wide, covered by ice which appeared very different. The hanging ice, the folding ice, the piling-up ice, the icy puddle, and the sleet were everywhere along the river bank. Having noticed all of these, I reckoned the river would be receding at dusk, which was why there were so many different shapes and forms of ice. I put my slipper on, going into the main stream of the river. I found there were at least three different courses of the river, the thickness of the surface ice varied and the river water reached above my knees. I sighed there would be no way back once I crossed this river. There are many ways in one's life too, you can only take it once and you will no long have the courage to repeat it.I pushed the bike crossing the river. Some of the ice was a bit soft, jamming the tyres so that I had to use my feet to break them first. Some of the ice was a bit thick but with half-melted underneath, sticking the the bike completely, some of the ice was half-water half-ice with a sandy riverbed, which was really hard to pass. I had to remove all of the panniers at the last stage of the crossing. I spent the whole four hours to cross the river, my legs got many bloody cuts. At 6pm, the surface ice was almost disappeared completely, the river level rapidly rising to a chaotic status. I thought if I hesitated a little bit at that time, I could not have the courage to cross this river under such circumstances. The river bank was unimaginably sandy and was quite steep. I had to unloaded the panniers again to reach the top of the bank. By the time of sunset, the weather became exceptionally good. The sunlight from the descending sun, the blue sky, the faint moon, .... Since then I used GPS to check the mileage. The digital thermometer was no longer working. I had to use mercury thermometer to collect data. Night temperatures were basically between –15℃—–20℃ while the temperature inside my tent was about –10℃. The advantage of the integrated tent was that it limited the ventilation so to keep warm inside. However, it got clearly disadvantage of heavy condensation and dew. Every morning, there was plenty of frost inside the tent so that I had to put my hood on First Before fully getting dressed. The winds in Chang Tang finally became consistent with the pattern I had researched the other day no or very tiny wind in the morning, strong wind started after 2pm, and then at around 8pm its strength was reduced again. The accuracy of this prediction was about 80%.The road was very bad today. I walked whole afternoon in an ancient riverbed and it was so difficult that I had to use all of my strengths to move a small step forward and then to stop to breath, slower than a snail. After five hours' struggling, my eyes got wet when I saw the grassy river bank. Finally! The nightmare was over.Cold and clear morningHeavy morning condensation in the interior, a lot of frost to clearSuch dawning sunlight indicated a cloudy day ahead Day 9 (April 28), 18km, 5072mIn the morning I entered a range of sandy roads which were so terrible. The solar panel specially designed for GPS got short circuited. After checking it was found to be the diode got damaged. Luckily I got a replacement. Because the GPS was exclusively supplied by a solar panel so that it was no longer a problem for the power supplement of GPS. In a period of 70 days, I did replace the battery once, which saved me a lot of alkaline batteries. I did have another solar panel of 5.4 W which was used specifically for 7.5V Camera, DV and other digital facilities. Unlike water, I had never been short of power.At 7pm in the evening, I arrived at Pur Co. The surface of this lake was very odd the ice by the river bank rose and the river bank was broken, I reckoned that was due to the strong winds. The ice there was mingled with something yellow, could be the stain of alkali. There were many wild yaks on the other side of the lake. There could be two brown bears but I could not be for certain. On the east side of the lake, there was a peninsula leading to the centre of the lake. I camped just opposite to the peninsula. At night , I smashed the ice to get drinking water, which tasted alkali. For the first time I cooked the cereals, which was brought completely by accident. This was just because I found there was a little bit of extra space when I was in Nagri packing the stuff for this journey so that I bought two packs of cereals. It tasted disgusting, probably there was too much alkali in the water. I threw away half of it. Later I realised that probably I subconsciously felt that the provisions was so heavy. The wild yaks clustered into small groups. All of a sudden, there was a group of five of them running towards me, blowing a huge cloud of dust with the power of thunderbolts,I believed that anyone who did not know the characters of the wild yaks must be frightened to death under such circumstances. The fact was the wild yaks in groups never injured people. Rushing to you just to show you its territory. When they approached people at certain distance, they would turn sharply and run away, and then stopped somewhere high to stare at you. You can not imagine that the wild yaks were very cautious animals compared with its almost one ton of weight. Their first reaction, when meeting people, was to raise their tails, the front hooves rubbing against the ground, the horns pointing forward, the eyes redden, and the long body hair shaking, all of which showed their determination to fight.This was the warning sign that you should retreat. However, you should realise that this was only a gesture that they were afraid of you and wanted to scare you away. The thing was that if you were not afraid of them and moved forward, they would run away in no time. There were only some mad yaks attacking people, which was really rare to happen. In Chang Tang, an experienced driver know that it is very dangerous to pass directly from two or three lonely wild yaks. They always tried to avoid confronting them directly. If this was not possible, they would lit a cigarette, smoking, to wait until the yaks walked away themselves. This was because the wild yaks really could attack vehicles, which was not completely rumors. I once asked them why I had not been attacked. They told me that because my bike was so small they would not be bothered to attack it. My own experience was that approaching a wild yak very slowly, do not look into its eyes, and ignored what it was doing. As long as it moved forward a little bit, just stop and give the yaks a little bit of time to think. Because if you forced the yak, it could be themost dangerous animal in the world and nothing could stop them killing. Even a gunshot could not kill it but only left a small hole in its skin. In the past, the nomads living near this land would use yaks' skin as chopping board which was very much endurable. At noon, I lost my balacLAVA, which was brand new and I had never used it once. I could not be bothered to go back tofind it. This resulted in that I had to have my fleece hat day and night in the rest of my journey, which did not provide fully protection from the sun in the plateau. But somehow I was all right, perhaps because my skin is similar to those of yaks, lol. At around half past one, I found a deserted Jeep, upside down. I felt it could be there for years and it could be the vehicle of someillegal HUNTERs. Nowadays, we have wildlife conservation reserves in Chang Tang and the animals here are well protected. However, some people kills the wild yaks to sell them as the domestic yak's meat. In general, it is worth 10,000 Chinese yuans for a single wild yak. Therefore many people take the risk to make money. They often enter the unpopulated areas to hunt and their activities can reach 200 km in diameter. This is why the wild yaks in the deep wilderness are less afraid of people than thoseat the boundaries of the Chang Tang region.There once happened that a wild yak mother revenged its baby's murder in the Altun mountains. Its horns pierced the killer's chest and held his body over its head for more than ten days, which was very touching.Around 3pm, I walked out of the Pur basin. The next point was Hong Shan Daban and then it was the Yueya Hu by the Toze Gangri. At this time I found a vehicle track from south to north. I checked over but could not find the way where they had gone. I took my map, GPS, and compass, climbing up a small hill to estimate the location of Hong Shan Daban. The mountain was very round and it was hard to find the mountain pass. After determining the location of the Daban, I moved straightforward. When I passed a messy grassland, I saw something that I was reluctant to see more than hundreds of wild yaks' head scattered all over, which was definitely the scene of the illegal hunting. After that it was a very long ancient river bed with soft sand slowly rising until the foot of the mountain.There are some spines on the surface of the tongues of wild yaks, which are used by nomads in this area as combs. They use them from their teens to the time when their hair becomes silver.The deserted Jeep, could be left by illegal hunters years agoThe slaughtered wild yaks with the wheel size heads. Some of the skulls were chopped into half. Why was that? Could be taken away for making combs?My camp at the foot of the Daban underthe lingering golden rays of the setting sun. Tomorrow's weather must be wonderful, I reckoned Day 11(April 30), 20.4km, Camping 5120mThe surface of the road leading to Hong Shan Daban was very hard, most of them were small rocks, sort of gravels, plus a quite long downhill slope, I pushed my bike more than 20km for the first time after Luxing Hu. The mountain pass was quite flat, just like a broad ridge, it was 5256m above the sea level. Upon arriving at the pass, Toze Gangri of 6356m was in my sight clearly, very much round and there was no back bone like normal snow covered mountains. Most of the snow mountains in Chang Tang looked like this probably it was due to the geological movements. There were quite a few chirus or Tibetan antelopes in the valley but I was not interested in this kind of animals anymore after I witnessed a large scale of migration of such animals last year elsewhere.The herbivorous animals here are very quick to reach its original size of the population, such as wild yaks, chirus, Tibetan gazelle, pika, and marmot. When you go into the depths of the Chang Tang, you could hardly be surpised by the sudden appearance of the chirus because they are so common in here. At this time of year, the chirus have already male-female parted. You could see many pregnant female chirus but hardly see any males. According to recent research, Zonag Co is not the only lake for breeding. There are at least four of them in the whole Chang Tang. Zonag Co, Tuzi Hu, Heishi Beihu, and another lake I can not remember. I think there must be more than four of them and most of the populations do not migrant long way like most people used to think. They generally migrant from south to north between Central Mountains and Kunlun Mountains.The chirus looks very timid but are very curious about outside world. They are not really afraid of people, particularly in the depth of the Chang Tang. The nearest distance we can approach is about 30m. They just stare at you calmly and think who you are and why you move so slow. They would run in front of you. Look like they are afraid of you but the fact is they are playing with you. A man's own character shapes his fortune. This is of course suit for animals too. The chirus are the typical one. They have a super speed and a pair of sharp antlers. If they are crazy, three of them work together could easily kill a wolf. But as you might have known, their antlers are just for fighting to mate with females.Down the Daban there was a very steep and straight road, I tried to ride the bicycle but ended up with falling over. The front rack came loose and one of the pannier flew into valley. The foot of the mountain was the Yueya Hu covered by ice, which was alake full of heavy metal elements. Along the lake bank there were many stark rocks very much weathered, lining up just like castles or houses. This made me stop to investigate what they were from time to time, I did understand they were just rocks though but they were so real like the figures of real people. On of them even made me hide in a ditch, observing them again and again using my binoculars. There were also many black volcanic rocks. All in all, the features of this area were really unusual.Passed over the Yueya Hu, it was an endless ancient lake bed. What my GPS showed was this area was a big lake like tentacles. I looked around, it was endless wilderness without a piece of ice and a drop of water. Roughly, I estimated this lake bed was about 1200 square meters. I had to tell you that Chang Tang was a place where there was no high-resolution map. The marks in the map often were some kind of memory. Just like this ancient lake bed under my feet, may be it was full of water a few years ago. Who knows. Pushing the bike in such an endless lake bed was very easy to get lost. About wildlife (part 1)Declaration Personal experience for reference onlyDangerous wild animals and their threats to human beings are a ever-LASTING subject for those backpackers travelling in the wild.In Chang Tang, for example, there are two kinds of deadly animals, one is wolves and the other is brawn bears. As substitutes, wild yaks and crows might be dangerous to you in some circumstances that I will come back to this a little bit later on. As for how to protect yourself against these dangerous animals, I think the primary point is you do not try to hurt them because the emotions of human and animals are same instinctively. [Wolves]Throughout my journey, I met wolves a total of seven times, in which I confronted them five times. As you might have known that wolves have become more and more solitary animals, it is very rare they live in a large group nowadays. Please allow me off the point a little bit and talk about the ecological problems in Chang Tang. The problem is now not the decrease of the number of the chirus but the imbalance of the whole food chain, more specifically, the number of the animals on the higher trophic levels of the food chain has not yet reached its ideal level which results in this kind of imbalance. Particularly, the pikas and the marmots who have lost their predators rapidly expanse which results in the desertification of Chang Tang. As early as the middle of last century, wolves were the dominant predators in the vast wilderness. They became a threat not only to other preys but also nomads pasturing in this land. Therefore, the then government called on people to cull back the population of the wolves in Chang Tang, which resulted in the current situation directly. The last official record about wolves attacking humans was around 1970s, which happened in Bamaoqiongzong. A team of secientists was surrounded by a group of wolves and they had to shoot them using guns. Of course, at present in Chang Tang, wolves are absolutely lonely.In this traverse, the first time I encountered a pair of wolves, one of them staying in front of me pretending to attack me while the other staying behind me. This is the standard attacking strategy of wolves. First, you should not be nervous which can be easily detected by the predators. Second, you should not retreat even an inch because this means you are the prey rather than the predator. Do not make any large movement, of course you could take a picture if you feel safe to do so. You must look into its eyes for a few minutes or even half an hour. When the wolves can not work out who you are and consider you are not posing any danger to them, then they will leave. You should remember that wolves in this land do not lack of food and it is much easy for them to catch a pika than a human. Even if being hungry, they would evaluate how easy to get you done, What you need to do is to show them that you are not interested in them and you are not afraid of them at all, let alone to show your ID card to them. As for the wolves family, really, I have not heard for ages. If you really have an encounter with them and they have no other choice, then it definitely depends on your forture. In fact, for so many year, it has been very rare to happen that wolves kill human. But the rumours are still there, in particular, the road connecting Xinjiang and Tibet.The nearest encounter with a wolf throughout my journey, no conflict at all[Brown Bears]Brown bears are real dangerous animals to human. Every year there are some accidents happened in some regions of Xinjiang on the north side of Kunkun Mountains and steppes in Northern Tibet. More than that the bears could attack your house, smash your windows, and eat your sheep. Therefore, in Northern Tibet some local councils give subsidies to the pastorarists for compensating the losses due to the bears because they are not allow to fight back and kill the bears except their lives are in great danger. Once there was a nomad taught me a method to protect yourself from bears. He told me to pick up a stick to feed the bear and the bear thinks the stick is your hand which tastes disgusting. So the bear would leave. It was so funny but the reality is to find a stick in this vast wilderness is just like you win the lottery.Bears are omonivorous animal who are generally not interested in human flesh. You can find that in most of accidents, the bears did not eat any of the human flesh rather they just smashed them for kind of fun that we could not understand. For the reason why bears kill human, one explanation is the conflict between human and wildlife in this extreme ecological environment. The nomads invade the habitats of the bears, which results in these conflicts. On the other hand, it might be because bears have quite high IQ so that they think it is much easy to kill a sheep in the cote rather than to kill a pika in the wild.I have met bears five times in my traverse, in two cases we were very close to each other. I had been chased by Tibetan dogs, pounced on by dogs in mating season, also besieged by a group of dogs. Day 12 (May 1), 23.8km, Camping 5117mToday was May 1 -- the Labour Day, I had been walking in some lake area marked in the map but clearly dried up. The lake basin was flat and hard so that I even pushed my bike more than 20km. Let it be the special treat for my May Day. After midday it became cloudy with growing winds. Since the Yueya Hu that I passed yesterday, there were no big lakes until Yanghu Co (My route would be between Jianshui Hu and Bairab Co), there was even no light alkaline water to drink so I had to pay extra attention not to miss any possible drinking water supply to fill up my water bag. There were a few very small lakes but all were alkaline puddles which was very shallow, whose depth was no more than the length of a half-finger. These puddles were covered with a hard shell of the mixture of salt and ice which smelled stinking and decaying when getting closer, must be toxic water I supposed. On the shore of this type of small lakes it was muddy soil and very hard to get closer.There was no sign of tundra at all.It was almost half past six when I found some snow corns in a ditch, which was the only drinking water supply of the day. There was a thin layer of melted ice on the surface of the ground near the snow corn, which was very hard to collect and was contaminated by the alkali. The snow corn was the yet melted thick snow, which was shaped like a corn by wind. The snow was quite hard and dry,porous like ice. I crushed a few snow corns, putting them into the water bag.They would be my drinking water tonight. These snow corns were the only one in today's wilderness, I reckoned the reason why they were not melted like others was the soil underneath contained large amount of ice blocks which acted as a freezer.Very strong gale in the night, it was hard to bear the sound of the vibration of the tent. Small single tent was good in the sense that it would not be blown away as long as you stayed inside. But you had to be very careful to set up the tent. I once did not pay much attention when doing so, the tent was blown away by winds, and rolling over like a Giant lantern ... I ran after it, got it back, and was exhausted. In general, it is not possible to fix the tent completely using tent pegs because they were not very much effective like large tents. It was snowing around 23 o'clock, the winds were howling from north,then the falling snow flakes landed on my tent quietly, I finally felt at peace and fell asleep. After lying in for a while, getting up and walking on the snowy ground out I went to have a look around. As first sight there were a herd of chirus. They were plainly to be spotted because they looked like a clear black straight line in the while snow. I returned to get my camera and then followed them to take some pictures. But they were very much alert and kept a quite long distance from me. I felt they were a group of pregnant females, instinctively protecting themselves from any potential harm. I was no longer short of water, the snow gave me a precious supply of drinking water. The problem was that they were very petrol consuming. I tool 8.6 litre of petrol and the oil stove was Duola's MSR. The pot was of 1.5 litre, mainly for boiling water. After several days' experiments, I found that the liquid water needed 16mins and 14-15mins to boil in the morning and evening, respectively. For ice, it would take 35-40mins while for snow it took 45-50mins. Melting snow was a very time and petrol consuming process so if I had a choice between snow and light alkaline water, most of time I would go with the latter. Lying inside the tent, listening to musics,I smoked a cigarette while gazing at the more and more chirus around me. Because it was very cold I had been wearing my shoes all the time. Now I just put my bare feet under the warm sun for some fresh air. I found three cuts in my hands and one in my sole. The cuts were about 4cm in length, looked terrible but it was actually all right really. Half of my toes were injured by to much walking, quite painful. I fetched my medicine bag and found I only got four patches of plasters, a serious mistake. One of the cuts in my hand had never been cured until I was out of this desolate land so as to feel like this finger would drop from my hand at any time. The others quickly recovered in a few days then new cuts appeared elsewhere. This process occurred periodically. I felt that it was somewhat related to the cold, dry weather and the lack of vitamins. The snow rapidly disappeared, which is unique phenomenon in Chang Tang. Because of the low air humidity and the high radiation from the sun, the snow was evaporating very fast, much quicker than the melting speed. Owing to this, the ground was generally still dry after the snow disappeared. In most cases, it would be only 2/5 left in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o'clock and small patches of ground could be seen. It would be completely all right for walking the next day. On the third day there could be some snow left in somewhere the sunlight hard to reach. So generally it could give you three days of water supply after a heavy snow like this. One of the pannier was broken, the most expensive one from deuter series, supposed to be waterproof. I will come back to it at some point later.
